Censorship begins when platforms deplatform those deemed "worst," discouraging others from speaking out. I've seen accounts suspended without reason, and the removal of Premium access and subscribers is concerning. It's troubling to see individuals punished for their private support.

@stclairashley - Ashley St. Clair

This is how censorship starts on every platform through every avenue throughout history They deplatform the “worst” people so that people do not speak out because they don’t want to be associated with them Accounts are being suspended without reason. Ability to purchase Premium removed. Subscribers removed. If you are going to demonetize them, whatever. But to remove subscribers who are individuals choosing to support someone privately? Very bad precedent.

Members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua have been arrested multiple times by the NYPD but released each time due to NYC sanctuary laws. This issue extends nationwide, with the gang operating in 16 states, including Tennessee, where their human trafficking activities have surged in four cities. Additionally, Laken Riley’s murderer has been linked to Tren de Aragua. I believe the Biden-Harris Administration's policies have allowed many violent criminals to enter the country, and I see mass deportations as the only solution.

Members of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua “have been arrested 11 times by NYPD and released each time due to NYC sanctuary laws that protect these migrant criminals.” This is also NATIONWIDE. Tren de Aragua has set up shop in 16 states according to Homeland Security. In states like Tennessee, the migrant gang’s human trafficking operations have seen a massive surge in four different cities. And Laken Riley’s murderer? He was just linked to Tren de Aragua. The Biden-Harris Administration let in an untold number of violent criminals. There is no other way to remedy this except mass deportations.

🚨 NEW Hotels like the Roosevelt Hotel are becoming breeding grounds for migrant gangs like Tren de Aragua to recruit new teenage gang members who now call themselves "the devils of 42nd street". These teen gangsters have caused havoc across NYC one of "the devils" has been arrested 11 times and released each time due to NYC sanctuary laws that protect these migrant criminals. I confronted one of these “devils” outside of the Roosevelt. How much longer will NYC put up with this?

Peanut and a raccoon were euthanized after a raid by multiple departments. The family, involved in animal rescue, was treated like criminals, with officers interrogating them and searching their home for the animals. Despite having Peanut, an indoor squirrel, for over seven years without any complaints, authorities obtained a search warrant and took him away. Peanut was well-known on social media, even becoming the first squirrel on TikTok to reach a million followers. He played a significant role in their nonprofit, Peanuts Freedom Farm, which helps neglected animals. The family is devastated by the loss of Peanut, who was central to their lives and mission.

I I this is this must be really difficult for you. Speaker 2: It not only tears my family apart, but Peanut was the cornerstone of our nonprofit animal rescue. And 10 to 12 DEC officers raided my house as if I was a drug dealer. I was sat outside my house for 5 hours. I had to get a police escort to my bathroom. I wasn't even allowed to feed my rescue horses breakfast or lunch. I was sitting sat there like a criminal after they interrogated my wife to check out her immigration status, then proceeded to ask me if I had cameras in my house, then proceeded to go through every cabinet, nook, and cranny of my house for a squirrel and a raccoon. Speaker 0: They got a search warrant? Speaker 2: They got a search warrant. Four departments and a judge signed off on a search warrant for a squirrel and a raccoon, and then they took them and killed them. Speaker 1: Why did they go through all that to get a search warrant for an animal that had been with you very safely and the world witnessed this for 7 years. Why now suddenly did they show up with a search warrant and and take these animals? Speaker 2: We haven't a clue. We don't know who made the com the the complaints. Again, peanut was a indoor squirrel, not harming anybody. He's been with us for 7 years, not a single complaint was ever filed for this animal. We had him for seven and a half years. He became the world's most famous squirrel. We weren't hiding him by any means. He was all over TikTok. He became the 1st squirrel on TikTok to ever hit a 1000000 followers. He did every news station around the world. He's helped people. He's helped kids gather joy. And then we started a nonprofit animal rescue called Peanuts Freedom Farm to help animals like Peanuts fight a good fight when they're in a neglected case or they're sitting in a slaughter auction. And he was the cornerstone of our life and our organization. We used his platform to help raise money for the 300 animals we have

I’ve been reflecting on Karl Marx's personal life, and it's striking how different it is from the idealized image many have of him. He struggled with unemployment, had a serious drinking problem, and relied heavily on financial support from family. His living conditions were deplorable, and he was known for his irresponsible spending habits. Despite advocating for the abolition of inheritance, he benefited from it himself. Additionally, he had troubling views on slavery and a history of mistreatment towards others. For a deeper dive into his character, I recommend checking out a new video by TIK.

@stclairashley - Ashley St. Clair

If you’ve ever wondered why Marxists hardly talk about the personal life of their god, Karl Marx, it’s because he was basically the original Redditor ⬇️ Karl Marx was a chronically unemployed drunk pig with a severe spending problem who lived on handouts from his family and others. Despite the most famous image of Marx portraying him as clean & sophisticated, he was a slob in actuality. He was such a slob that he had to be reminded to bathe, and visitors to his home wrote that sitting down in house of squalor would “risk you a pair of trousers.” While writing about abolishing inheritance, Marx was collecting inheritance from his family and his aristocrat wife’s family. Any money given to them would be gone almost as fast as they received it due to Marx’s immature spending. He also refused to work of course. He was vocally pro-slavery and even had an indentured servant who he never paid a penny. He would later end up getting this indentured servant pregnant and tried blaming it on his good friend, Engels. Almost everybody who wrote about him could not gloss over what a dreadful drunk he was. At one point he locked a friend in his house and threatened him with a pair of handcuffs. Oh, and he really, really hated the Jews.

And I guess she's never gonna have to get a real vote because she's been handpicked on purpose by the people who have been running Joe for the last 2 or 3 years. Now they're gonna try to run her and trot her out. It's disgusting. It's a hijacking democracy. They knew Joe wasn't fit before and they waited. Fine. All that, fine. Take it with a grain of salt. For the Democrats, like a Rob Reiner. This is the tweet I saw Rob Reiner that just sent me off. Democracy is saved. Kamala's running. And all these people now, Kamala AOC, you just said it was a cool 3 days ago, AOC. Now Kamala Kamala. The Democrats and the left, the way they shit on our face and tell us it's 80 and sunny is so infuriating. Just admit you hijacked democracy. Just admit you don't care if fucking Mussolini or a head of lettuce who's running against Trump. You hate him so much, you're willing to trample on democracy, steal the vote from the American public, the most supposedly important right an American has, the right to vote. You have stolen it from the Democratic Party. You have said you don't get to choose who runs for president. We do. It's the lowest point for democracy in my lifetime. Just say you hate fucking Trump so much, you're willing to do whatever it takes to beat Trump, and it doesn't matter what rights you steal, stomp on, or whatever you're willing to do. While slavery was common to all civilizations, only one civilization developed a moral revulsion against it: Western Civilization “Rather than be ashamed as Westerners, we should stand proud for having led the world out of a mentality where slavery was the norm.” 🔥🔥🔥

Video Transcript AI Summary
Slavery was common across civilizations, not just in the West. It was not solely based on race. Many different races owned slaves, including black people and Native Americans. The US government fought to end slavery, and reparations may not be the best solution. Western civilization was the first to reject slavery morally, so we should not feel ashamed but proud.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: The first point is that everyone had slaves. Okay? People of all colors became slaves for economic reasons, because of war, because slavery, as odious as it was, was simply a normal way of life. Arabs were extracting millions of black African slaves centuries before Christian nations did for about 13 centuries, compared to the 3 centuries European nations ran the Atlantic slave trade. Arabs marched African slaves across the Sahara Desert, and as such, they died more often. It was customary to castrate them and many died from this practice. The Arabs also enslaved over 1,000,000 white European Christians. The term slavery, in fact, comes from the word Slav. The Slavs inhabited Eastern Europe and were taken by the Muslims of Spain in the 19 in the 9th century. Not to mention that Africans have been enslaving each other for 1000 of years. The point is that slavery The the second point is that slavery was not about race, and it's important. It was not about race. The only reason we think it's about race is because philosophers like David Hume in the 18th century ranked human beings and put Africans at the bottom saying that they had no souls. The enlightenment imposed the concept of race on a practice that had been going on for centuries, in order to justify that practice. And why did they have to justify it? And this is the point. Because people in the West began to question slavery's moral validity. The fact is that people of all colors owned slaves, both as part of the Atlantic slave trade and outside of it. In the United States and Caribbean, black people, black people owned thousands of black slaves, and so did the Native Americans. Nearly 20,000 of the Native Americans, 5 civilized tribes sided with the confederacy during the civil war, fighting to keep slavery alive. 28% of the black population who were free in New Orleans pledged their support to the Confederacy. All of the 13 southern states of the confederacy had substantial numbers of black slave owners. There were more than 250,000 free blacks and nearly 4,000 of them were slave masters, who owned more than 20,000 slaves. The practice of slavery was legal, after all. We need to remember that governments did not own slaves. Slave owners did. In fact, the US government fought a war to end slavery. How much should the descendants of the 400,000 Union soldiers, who lost their lives fighting to free the slaves, pay to the descendants of the slaves they freed? Giving people lump sums of money does not work. Economists often point to the Georgia Land Lottery of 18 32, in which parcels of land were distributed randomly. What happened to the descendants of those who were lucky enough to be given this land? Are they the richest families in Georgia? No. In fact, within 1 generation after the distribution of the Georgia land, one could not distinguish between those who had been given land and those who hadn't. Certainly, my own direct experiences of working for 20 plus years in the inner city with families on welfare demonstrates this time and time again. Rather than give a man a fish, it is always better to teach him how to fish. All giving the fish does is make the giver feel better. Reparations might relieve white people of their guilt, but it will do little else. So back to my initial question. Why are we only discussing whether the West should pay reparations for slavery? Because while slavery was common to all civilizations, only one civilization developed a moral revulsion against it very late in its history, western civilization. Not even the leading moralists in other civilizations rejected slavery at all. Rather than be ashamed as westerners, we should stand proud for having led the world out of a mentality where slavery was the norm, and we should vote against this motion. Thank you.

Watch what she discovered. Speaker 1: I'm at the Phoenix airport right now. I am waiting to board my fry flight to New York, to JFK, and it looks like we have a whole lot of migrants who are also boarding this flight that the US taxpayers are paying for. This is what the US taxpayers are paying for right here, premium seats on Delta. Speaker 0: How does that happen? What about the background checks? She says when asked, Delta representative, told her, quote, what does it matter? They're humans too. Babylon Bee contributor, Ashley St. Clair joins us now. Ashley, thanks so much for telling this story. What made you say to yourself, I'm gonna take out my iPhone. I'm taping this. Speaker 2: Because it was unbelievable what I saw. And when I tried to speak to the delta delta representative and ask, hey, are these people being properly screened medically? I have a 2 year old son at home. His response was just, you know, they're humans too. Would you like a mask? So I decided to go out there and and document what I was seeing. I've been down to the border. I've been down to these processing centers. I recognize those bags right away. Those are the bags you get after you've been detained from crossing our border illegally. So I decided to just show everyone what was going on, what's happening on their 11 PM red eye flights. Speaker 0: Well, according to the what do you think they use for ID? I know what we need. You know, to if you don't have TSA, you gotta show your license. You got no water to get through it. Did they go through the same process we went through? Speaker 2: They absolutely did not. There's a variety of exceptions that these people are making for not having proper identification. And many of these people are also using arrest warrants. So that may sound crazy, but that is the truth. They're using arrest warrants as identification. So these people are being detained. They've come here illegally, and they're using arrest warrants as identification. Speaker 0: So no one denied that these were, illegal immigrants crossing the border. They're all, put onto the plane. Where did they go after? Speaker 2: To our home, to New York City, all over the country. After I posted this, I've had pilots who told me they're shipping them to New York City, to Charlotte, to Philadelphia. And some people might not care that they're coming to the sanctuary cities now, but it's it's New York today, and it's your place tomorrow. Speaker 0: Does it blow you away? We used to see maybe 1 or 2, and you wanted to see the clear bags and their names in it. And you think, okay. What are they doing? You what are they up to? But now you're talking about most of the plane. Speaker 2: Yes. I had one pilot who told me it's about 10 to 20% of all the flights now, that he's seeing, the commercial airline pilot. And the scariest part is these pilots are left totally in the dark about what's happening. They have no idea. I had one who called me. He wanted to stay anonymous, and he said, Ashley, I have no idea who's boarding my flights. Speaker 0: Disturbing. What's Delta's reaction to you? After you did it, they started following you around. Speaker 2: They did. So the representative that I had asked about this, he started watching me and following me. And I was thinking maybe I'm being paranoid, but then I walked to the other gate and I watched him. I was on a video call to document it, and he followed me all the way to the other gate as if I was a security risk while there's people boarding our flights with the rest of the warrants. Speaker 0: So do you think that Delta's gonna take action against you? Speaker 2: I think that would be very foolish because if they did do that, they would be subject to discovery. And if they're subject to discovery, we're gonna find out a lot of information about what's been happening for a very long time. Speaker 0: What are you gonna do with this story? Speaker 2: I'm gonna keep going. I hope that more pilots reach out. If you work at one of these airlines, if you have information, you are not alone. I have dozens of people reaching out. My DMs on x are open. You can reach out to me and feed us some information. Speaker 0: Well, we know the government's leaning on them, saying you better Delta, you better do this like they do the car companies Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 0: And make these mandates or build electric cars. So maybe they wanna come out and say their their side of the story. Speaker 2: That's the question, and we need to know who's funding this. Right? A lot of it is the NGOs that are heavily subsidized by the government. Who is funding this? Are the proper medical screenings being done? Are proper security screenings being done? I I would bet you the answer is no. Speaker 0: Yeah. And sadly, some of them are Catholic charities, these Speaker 2: Funded by the government and funded the the one that I saw paperwork from, some of the the Catholic Speaker 1: Bezos. Speaker 0: Unbelievable. Ashley, thanks so much. This is what they've said. We reached out to Delta, but we have not received an official response. United Airlines is being questioned about the qualifications and hiring practices of a co-pilot involved in a recent incident. There are concerns that the co-pilot, who was reportedly fired and rehired through United's DEI program, had failed multiple trainings. Additionally, allegations have been made about United covering up this and other DEI-related issues. There are also questions about the involvement of the #2 at the Denver hiring center and an instructor who failed the co-pilot.

@stclairashley - Ashley St. Clair

Hey @united On July 29, a United plane was nearly totaled after a hard landing Who was flying that aircraft? Was the co-pilot a former flight attendant who was FIRED and then rehired through United’s DEI program despite being on a list to not return to United? Am I correct that this individual failed multiple trainings including simulator training? Am I also correct that United has covered up this DEI disaster and many others?

@stclairashley - Ashley St. Clair

Was the #2 at the Denver hiring center also onboarded through DEI? Did she or did she not change fail grades for DEI hires because “it makes the numbers look bad”? Did the instructor who failed this co-pilot ask corporate why they passed him?

Speaker 0: Does it blow you away? We used to see maybe 1 or 2, and you want you see the clear bags and and their names in. And you think, okay. What do they do when you what are they up to? But now you're talking about most of the plane. Speaker 2: Yes. I had 1 pilot who told me it's about 10 to 20% of all the flights now, that he's seeing, the commercial airline pilot. And I was thinking maybe I'm being paranoid, but then I walked to the other gate, and I watched him. I was on a video call to document it, and he followed me all the way to the other gate as if I was a security risk while there's people boarding our flights with the arrest warrants. Speaker 0: We know the government's leaning on them, saying you better Delta, you better do this like they do the car companies Speaker 2: Yes. And sadly, some of them are Catholic charities, these few Speaker 2: Funded by the government and funded the the one that I saw paperwork from, some of the the Catholic Public services, community services of Southern Arizona. They've just got a lot of money from the government, from the state government, from the federal government, and $5,000,000 from Jeff Yes. Speaker 0: Unbelievable. Ashley, thanks so much. This is what they've said. We reached out to Delta, but we have not received an official response. We'll follow this story through, with you. And please keep us up to date on how this moves. Vivek went to the Northern Border, goes “It’s easier than the Rio Grande,” and crosses a creek on the path that illegals take after crossing the Northern Border There’s a hiking trail right next to the port of entry that takes you on a path from Canada directly into New Hampshire. You can walk right around the border checkpoint to the trail — there’s even a sign that points the way! At the end of the trail is an ankle-deep stream. Elon Musk's clash with the ADL highlights the challenge of defining acceptable speech. The New York Times overlooks how the ADL's CEO praised Musk before criticizing him. The article also criticizes the ADL for praising Henry Ford, who was anti-Semitic. The issue lies in the ADL's demand for censorship while struggling to define hate speech. Banning hate speech risks eroding free speech based on subjective boundaries. We must tolerate even reprehensible speech to protect our own freedoms. The article concludes with a powerful reminder of the consequences of staying silent.

@stclairashley - Ashley St. Clair

This recent New York Times article, “Elon Musk Has Crossed The Line” unintentionally makes the case for Musk’s position on the ADL & here’s why: The New York Times paints Musk as attacking the ADL for no reason They state that the ADL’s CEO Jonathan Greenblatt had previously praised Musk in October 2022 by stating Musk is “The Henry Ford of our time.” (They conveniently omit that just a month later, Greenblatt called for an advertiser boycott of X because of Musk’s reinstatement of Donald Trump, but I digress) The New York Times then starts RIPPING ON JONATHAN GREENBLATT for a “tone-deaf” praise of Henry Ford because Henry Ford was anti-Semitic. THIS is precisely the battle between Musk and the ADL. The boundaries of acceptable, non-offensive speech are so impossible to keep up with that even the ADL can’t keep up and is being scolded by The New York Times. The difference is that the ADL is demanding that Musk and X censor individuals & adhere to speech standards that the censors themselves cannot adhere to and whose boundaries are continuously shifting. This is the issue with censoring “hate speech” in general. “Hate speech” does not exist and is totally subjective— what is hate speech to me may not be hate speech to you. Entertaining the idea of banning “hate speech” allows whoever is in power to take away one of the core principles of a free society based on completely subjective boundaries. We must allow even the most reprehensible speech, from those we most vehemently disagree with, to prevent the sword from eventually being turned towards us. “First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist Then they came for the trade unionists And I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist Then they came for the Jews And I did not speak out Because I was not a Jew Then they came for me And there was no one left To speak out for me.”

Elon Musk has found himself in a battle & potential $22 billion lawsuit w/ the ADL But who is the ADL? Are they the righteous champions against hate or should we be asking more questions? Watch below to dive into the not-so-spotless history of the ADL

Video Transcript AI Summary
Elon Musk is suing the ADL for $22 billion, but who is the ADL? They claim to be a small nonprofit, but they have a history of controversies. In the past, they were involved in illegal activities, such as obtaining confidential police files without consent. They have also been accused of smearing private citizens and companies. The ADL has pressured social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter to ban certain accounts and has even threatened to smear entire countries. Their influence on digital platforms raises questions about what constitutes hate speech and who gets to decide. As our society becomes more interconnected, it is important to hold organizations like the ADL accountable and protect the principles of free speech.

Speaker 0: Elon Musk announced that he would be suing the ADL for $22,000,000,000, But who is the ADL? Well, if you ask Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the ADL, he would say they're just a little nonprofit out of New York. Speaker 1: Nonprofit here in New York. Speaker 0: The ADL is anything but a powerless little nonprofit, the anti defamation league or the ADL has stood as the guardian against the bigotry and antisemitism for decades now. Yet the ADL's own history is riddled with question marks and beneath that shield and intricate web of controversies, pressure campaigns, and debates unfold. One of the most glaring controversies that the anti defamation league has faced over the past decade is ironically defamation today. We're going to be taking a deep dive into the controversies of the ADL over the years and how we got to the spot we're in now, where everybody seems to be talking about the ADL A huge thank you to my friends over at BizPac review for making this video possible. Make sure you subscribe and follow BizPac review here on X on mark Zuckerberg, Facebook on YouTube, and make sure you hit the notification bell, especially on X, because you will stay up to date with the most current news in politics and culture by hitting that notification bell and following this pack review. Today, we are going to do a deep dive into the controversy surrounding the ADL. Former US Congressman Pete McCloskey was one of the individuals who felt the sharp sting of the ADL false allegations, taking the ADL to court. McCloskey emerged with a settlement. And the ADL was forced to walk back their claims. The McCloskey lawsuit came after raids were made by the San Francisco Police Department and the FBI on offices of the ADL in both San Francisco and Los Angeles, which found that the ADL was engaged in extensive domestic buying operations on a vast number of individuals and institutions around the country. During the course of the inquiry in San Francisco, the SF PD and FBI determined that the ADL had computerized files on nearly 10,000 people across the country. And that more than 75% of the information had been illegally obtained from police FBI files and state driver's license data Banks. Much of the stolen information had been provided by a fellow named Tom Gerard of the San Francisco police department who sold or gave the information to Ray Bullock, ADL's top undercover operative. The ADL agreed to pay from its annual multimillion dollar budget. Keep that in mind. The ADL gets 1,000,000 and 1,000,000 of dollars, more money than most of us will ever say every year, they agreed to pay $50,000 to each of the additional plaintiffs in the McCloskey case. These 3 individuals continued to press charges against the ADL, despite a continuing series of judicial roadblocks that forced 14 of the original defendants to withdraw. Another 2 died during the proceedings. But this wasn't the only time that the ADL's aggressive stance and broad brush painted private citizens. The ADL has countless plus other examples outside of the McCloskey case, leading to legal repercussions and more settlements for again, Ironically, defamation, these settlements and these defamation cases are raising legitimate concerns about the organizations discernment, but it's important to know the history of this organization so that we can understand that much of the skepticism now against the ADL is not unfounded in 1993, the ADL settled a lawsuit with the Quigley family for 10.5 $1,000,000. The family claimed that the ADL had invaded their privacy by obtaining confidential police files on them without consent. See the ADL has a history of this. As we saw before with the San Francisco case, they obtained the confidential police files without consent and the family was smeared as anti Semitic. The ADL has gone as far to state at a 1994 on the issue that the. This family were guilty of perpetrating the worst antisemitic incident in the area. Since the slang of Jewish talks show hosts Alan Berg 10 years earlier. Now the Quigley's, this all started because of a with their neighbor. And eventually the ADL jumped in and decided to compare this family, smear this family as antisemitic and compare them to someone who murdered a Jewish talk show host. Obviously they had to pay for that. They had to pay the 10 point $5,000,000. They had to pay out in the McCloskey case. But as we saw with the McCloskey case as well, it takes a long time to fight these cases. Most People don't have the resources to fight back against the smears from the ADL. The ADL in present day is currently smearing people as either antisemitic anti LGBTQ because their scope has broadly expanded outside of their charter. Fighting antisemitism. The ADL has even gone as far as mirroring higher ratio and Orthodox Jewish woman who founded the Now it lives of Tik TOK. They smear her as anti LGBT and accused her of stoking hostility against that community. All lives of tick tock. Doug is simply repost publicly available content that Progressive's themselves are already posting. There's no editing. There's hardly any commentary, but yet she's on the ADL hit list. Elon Musk responded on the issue of race in particular saying that The ADL pressured him and formerly known as Twitter to ban Ray Shick and accounts like her Elon Musk stated ADL has pushed hard for us to shut down accounts like Hyatt, even though it has nothing to do with antisemitism, which is their supposed charter. But the ADL sneer gun is an equal opportunity. One they'll smear anyone from private citizens to companies, to entire countries back in 2018, the ADL and Jonathan I think Greenblatt sent a letter to Iceland regarding their proposed ban on male circumcision. You're really not going to believe what I'm about to tell you, but we have the receipts to prove it. In the letter they sent out the ADL and Jonathan Greenblatt. Speaker 1: Nonprofit here in New York. Speaker 0: Threatened to smear the entire country of Iceland as Nazis. If they did not adhere to their demands. They claimed that this ban on male circumcision would be contrary to religious freedom. But if that was their main concern, religious Freedom. Why would they not kindly suggest that Iceland offer religious exemption for this ban? Not only did they demand that Iceland backtrack on the proposed ban entirely, but they stated, and I quote, given that 28% of Iceland's tourists came from north America in 2016. Iceland standing in the US should be a great concern From an economic perspective, we are confident that the vast majority of American tourists will avoid a country whose reputation is associated with Nazi ism, even if that association is not justified. Even if that at association is not justified yet. Perhaps no controversy They stand down as starkly as the ADL's pressure campaigns against companies for ideological compliance, like Facebook and acts on a plethora of others. This is all in an effort to quote, unquote combat hate speech, but there's a fine line between combating hate speech and silencing dissenting voices in 2020, the ADL launched the stop hate for profit that campaign this campaign called on businesses to pause their advertising on Facebook in July of 2020, citing the platforms, alleged inaction on hate speech and misinformation and leading to Facebook losing 60,000,000,000,000 with a B $1,000,000,000 in market value in just 48 hours. The campaign criticized Mark Zuckerberg's decision to not moderate the us president Donald Trump after Zuckerberg defended his decision, not to limit Trump's posts. The president's posts, the ADL made a similar move in 22 calling for a full advertiser boycott of X formerly known as Twitter after Elon Musk's decision to reinstate Donald Trump. And when Jonathan Greenblatt was pressed about these pressure campaigns and asked directly, link. If this was a shakedown for donations, like what happened to Adidas and the Brooklyn nets greenblatt said that's quote unquote anti Semitic trope. Speaker 1: There have been folks who've looked at these situations and felt that they will be taken down. Look, I think let Speaker 2: let me be honest about that. Right? I think it is a sort of anti Semitic trope to suggest when Jewish people express a degree of outrage over anti Semitism, that's somehow that's a shakedown because are greedy. Speaker 0: Now even asking questions is antisemitic, but again, as the ADL and Jonathan Greenblatt stated to Iceland. Does it really matter if that's unfounded in our modern era, the ADL's influence on digital platforms like X and Facebook cannot and should not be ignored. These platforms are today's town squares and with the ADL self proclaimed mission to combat hate speech. A profound debate arises on what that looks like. What is hate speech? Speaker 3: Even though it seems like it's a good idea to ban these ideas or to ban people discussing these things. In fact, it actually turns out to be a terrible idea. Speaker 4: Well, you see, when people say they want to ban hate speech, What they mean is they want to ban the speech that they hate. Yes. But if you allowed something called Hate speech to be banned. Then the only important question would be who decides? Speaker 0: While the US Supreme Court doesn't recognize hate speech has a distinct category outside first amendment protections. The term is wielded with increasing frequency and It's often championed by groups like the ADL. Speaker 3: And free speech only matters it's only relevant when it's someone you don't like saying something in your life because Obviously, the speech that you like is Yes. It's easy. The thing about censorship is that for for those who had advocated, Just remember at some point that will return on you Speaker 0: with the power to label and smear and boycott and pressure. The ADL sits in a precarious position to put it lightly. Their actions can shape public perception, influence business and major policy decisions, And most importantly, influenced or redefined the boundaries of acceptable discourse. Speaker 5: Freedom is never more than 1 generation away from We didn't pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. The only way they can inherit the freedom we have known is if we fight for it, protect it, Dependent and then hand it to them with the well taught lessons of how they and their lifetime must do the same. And if you and I don't do this, And you and I may well spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children, what it once was like in America when men were free, Speaker 0: as the globe grows ever more interconnected and our debate shifts into the digital realm, the responsibilities of entities like the ADL become even more profound. It's a call, not just for transparency, but for humility and respect for the principles that underpin our free society.

Anybody who cherishes free speech, especially in the digital age, should be cheering on this move by X. California’s “Content Moderation Legislation” as Forbes calls it, is actually a draconian censorship bill— AB 587. It requires social media companies to give the California Attorney General’s Office regular reports regarding disinformation, misinformation, extremism, radicalization, and “hate speech.” The bill also allows the state to impose fines if companies do not comply with these reporting regulations. The Babylon Bee and Minds led the charge suing the CA AG over this bill earlier this year.
