Brandon Presley asked if I’d been to Caledonia recently. I don’t think he and his liberal buddies liked my answer. https://t.co/OaSsK1R6fR

It has become clear to me that we cannot have a full economic recovery until we get the thousands of available jobs in our state filled. https://t.co/PHGU27c9Mj

It's great to be here in Mississippi. No matter what happens in other states, Mississippi has the best first lady. The Associated Press called Mississippi for Donald Trump early this evening. If the rest of America could be a little more like Mississippi, the presidential race would already be over. I believe that Donald Trump is going to win North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. We're going to end this election cycle with a Republican president, a Republican House, and a Republican Senate. As governor, we've had record-breaking economic development, record low unemployment, and record-breaking investment because of our team. I want to give Senator Wicker credit. Not long after the AP called Mississippi for Trump, they called Mississippi for our senior United States Senator, Roger Wicker.

Speaker 0: Thank you, mister chairman. Is anybody in this room ready to win, win, win tonight? It's great to be in the great state of Mississippi. You know, we've got 27 Republican governors around the country and quite a few of are on the ballot tonight, so we're watching those races very closely. But what I can tell you without reservation of being wrong is that no matter who wins or who loses those races tonight across the country in governor's races, Mississippi has and will continue to have the best first lady in These United States. Aliens in the back of the room. Tonight is gonna be a great night. Tonight is gonna be a great night. You know, as I was sitting there just after 07:00, I think the ball's closed here at seven. By 07:03, the Associated Press called Mississippi for Donald J. Trump. And I just couldn't help but think there if, like so many times, I've thought across the last several years, if the rest of America could just be a little bit more like Mississippi, we'd have the presidential race already over to them. But we have great reason for optimism. I've looked at a lot of things happening over the last few hours, and I really do believe that Donald j Trump's gonna win North Carolina. Oh. Yeah. I believe he's got a great chance in Georgia. I believe he's gonna win Pennsylvania. Whoo. And I think we're gonna end this week. By the way, we ought to win this night. I don't understand why these other states can't cancel their ballots on election day. But that notwithstanding, we're gonna end this election cycle with having a republican president, a republican house, and, yes, a republican United States senate. You know, I come to you tonight as someone who has the privilege of serving this great state as the sixty fifth governor. What I will tell you is over the last five years, we've had a lot of successes. Record breaking economic development, record low unemployment, record breaking investment in our state, more people working than ever before. And the reason we have been successful is because of this team. And I gotta give senator Wicker a lot of credit. When all of us politicians walked up on stage, he realized we need somebody up here to make us look good. And so he went and got his family and his grandkids, and they make us look a lot better up here on stage. But tonight, it's my honor and privilege because not long after the Associated Press called Mississippi for Donald Trump, the Associated Press called Mississippi for our senior United States senator, my friend, a leader in this country, the next chairman of the Armed Services Committee in the United States Senate, Roger Wicker.
