It's just a constant stream of vaccine fanaticism on Bluecry. Most people know how vaccines work. What they want to know is whether a particular vaccine is effective, the side effects, and risk/benefit profile. Fanatics don't understand this. https://t.co/YZ1YL3D6xY

President Trump signed an executive order to establish the MAHA Commission, which will study the decline in American health over the past two generations and the rise in chronic disease. The commission will investigate factors that were formerly taboo or insufficiently scrutinized, including the childhood vaccine schedule, electromagnetic radiation, glyphosate and other pesticides, ultra-processed foods, artificial food additives, SSRIs and other psychiatric drugs, PFAs, PFOAs, and microplastics. All beliefs and suspicions will be subject to unbiased science. The goal is to commission research that will satisfy all stakeholders, using protocols agreed upon in advance, without altering study outcomes. The aim is to depoliticize these issues, reestablish common ground, and renew the search for existential truth with no political impediments or preconceptions.

Speaker 0: Last Thursday, President Trump signed an executive order to establish the MAHA Commission to study what has caused the precipitous decline in American health over the past two generations. So we will convene representatives of all viewpoints to study the causes for the drastic rise in chronic disease. Some of the possible factors we will investigate were formally taboo or insufficiently scrutinized. A childhood vaccine schedule, electromagnetic radiation, glyphosate, other pesticides, ultra processed foods, artificial food additives, SSRI and other psychiatric drugs, PFAs, PFOAs, microplastics, nothing is going to be off limits. Whatever belief or suspicion I have expressed in the past, I'm willing to subject them all to the scrutiny of unbiased science. That is going to be our template, unbiased science. That's something that will make us all proud of this agency and of our role in restoring American health. Let's commission research that will satisfy all the stakeholders once and for all. Let's use protocols that we all agree on in advance and not alter the outcomes of the studies when they're halfway through and that they look inconvenient. Let's all depoliticize these issues and reestablish a common ground or action and renew the search for existential truth with no political impediments and no preconceptions. Finally, I wanna ask you to think about

A new study reveals the presence of COVID spike protein in blood years after vaccination, raising concerns about potential vaccine injuries. Yale scientists note significant overlap in symptoms between long COVID and post-vaccination syndrome, both linked to the spike protein. Tragic cases, such as writer Heide Ferrer and advocate Beth Mazur, highlight the struggles faced by individuals who experienced severe health issues post-vaccination, with their deaths reported as related to long COVID. Additionally, some findings from the study have been disputed by federal agencies and experts.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

1) New study find COVID spike protein in blood years after vaccination. NIH spends $1.6B on Long COVID but millions are likely vaccine injured.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

2) YALE SCIENTISTS: There is considerable overlap in self-reported symptoms between long COVID and post-vaccination syndrome (PVS). Both share exposure to SARS-CoV-2 spike protein with inflammatory responses during infection or vaccination https://tinyurl.com/4jz4pct6

Yale Researchers Find COVID Spike Protein in Blood 709 Days After Vaccination, Positing Millions of Long COVID Patients May Actually Be Vaccine Injured NIH has poured $1.6 billion into Long COVID research, but little or nothing to study vaccine harms, causing patient advocates to hide vaccine injury. substack-proxy.glitch.me

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

3) Long COVID patients such as Dawson’s Creek writer Heide Ferrer are hiding vaccine injury. Ferrer took her own life, w/ media reporting it was Long COVID. Her husband later admitted in a private video that after COVID vax “that’s when things turned.”

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

4) #MEAction's Beth Mazur also took her own life following a COVID vax and years of struggle with chronic illness. "Beth was a compassionate advocate for ME/CFS and a fierce advocate for vaccine injury after she experienced this herself sometime before she took her own life."

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

5) Several of the study’s new findings as well as research the authors cite in their paper have been labeled as false by federal agencies, medical experts, and fact checkers. FDA falsely claimed the spike protein does not linger. Researchers found it 709 days after vaccination

Morens also edited compliance letters and press releases, and expressed willingness to delete emails. His lawyer, Timothy Belevetz, whispered to him to tie his shoe at the end of the hearing. Morens and Gerald Keusch published an essay advocating for increased funding for research conducted by Daszak. Pfizer has been accused of spreading vaccine misinformation and bringing discredit to the industry. Fact checkers have overlooked this. The regulator found that Pfizer misled the public about their COVID vaccine even before completing clinical trials. The ruling came from a group set up by the pharma organization now led by Pfizer. This is the sixth finding against Pfizer by the watchdog. Fake fact checks have been supporting Pfizer instead of questioning it. Fact checks always seem to favor Pfizer.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

1) Pfizer has spread so much vax misinformation that a regulator accused them of "bringing discredit" on the entire industry--the entire industry!!! And the fact checkers keep looking the other way. https://www.pauldthacker.com/blog/#/ Let's look at the facts.

The DisInformation Chronicle - Paul D. Thacker I'm an American investigative journalist based in Spain and former Fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard. I've written on scientific ethics for outlets including the New York Times, BMJ Investigations, JAMA, Washington Post, NEJM, Los Angeles Times, The New Republic, Slate, and Mother Jones. I also spent several years in the U.S. Senate investigating corruption and conflicts of interest in science and medicine.  pauldthacker.com

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

2) @FullFact even tried to bolster confidence in Pfizer’s #COVID vaccine by pointing out that—while Pfizer paid an unprecedented $2.3 billion fine for healthcare fraud—everyone needs to calm the fuck down, none of Pfizer’s fraud involved a vaccine.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

3) The regulator found that Pfizer began spreading vaccine misinformation in 2020 to promote their COVID vaccine, meaning Pfizer was misleading the public about their vaccine throughout the pandemic. Even before they had completed clinical trials!

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

4) The ruling came from the PMCPA which the pharma trade organization ABPI set up in 1993. Oh, and ABPI is now led by a Pfizer person. It's that bad. Pfizer got rapped by a group set up by the pharma org now run by Pfizer. It's like Pfizer is appalled by Pfizer.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

5) This is the 6th finding against Pfizer by the Pfizer-friendly watchdog. Another example was reported back in 2022 when CEO Albert Bourla spread vaccine misinformation on the BBC. Why didn't the BBC catch this, @rachelschraer?

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

6) When I looked back over the pandemic, I found a host of fake fact checks, like this one, coming out to "support" Pfizer, not question it. Big Fact Check always dances to Big Pharma's tune.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

7) Here's my fave: One fact checker knocks down critic's stats on Pfizer's vaccine in favour of Pfizer 95% efficacy claim, while another questions if Pfizer ever made a 95% efficacy claim, months later. It's always fact checks in favour of Pfizer.

Twitter's internal report revealed that Dr. Fauci took over the @WHOCOVIDResponse account, contradicting his previous denials. Fauci's association with Twitter is further highlighted by his collaboration with Big Pharma and pharmacy chains to shape vaccine marketing campaigns. Meanwhile, Twitter faced criticism for censoring vaccine-related tweets while working with Johnson & Johnson on a COVID-19 vaccine marketing strategy. The platform's role in censorship is being challenged, with Harvard's Martin Kulldorff suing the government for colluding with social media companies. The article emphasizes the need for open exchange of ideas on Twitter.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

1) Twitter Files #FauciPharmaFiles Last December, @elonmusk sent out his viral tweet about Fauci. Fauci went on Fox News and said he had "no clue what [Elon] was talking about."

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

2) "A lot of people are spouting out a lot of things about me and Twitter," Fauci told @FoxNews. "I've never had a Twitter account. I don't intend on having a Twitter account, and I've had nothing to do with Twitter. So I don't know what they're talking about when they say that."

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

3) Fauci made similar claims, during multiple exchanges, in a 7-hour deposition, where he denied using Twitter or even knowing how to access a tweet.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

4) But in an internal Twitter report in March 2021, the company revealed "Dr. Anthony Fauci did an account takeover for @WHOCOVIDResponse." This runs contrary to Fauci's public statements and sworn deposition given on Nov 23, 2022.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

5) According to this tweet, Fauci took over the White House COVID-19 Response account again, in April 2021.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

6) Fauci was beloved by Twitter 1.0 Elon Musk tweeted last December that former employees had an internal Slack channel unironically called "Fauci Fan Club." (pssst, don't disagree w/ Fauci)

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

7) Attorney Angela Sherrer, who left when Musk sought to buy Twitter, praised Fauci as "the leading trusted voice about the COVID-19 response in the United States."

8) Angela Sherrer was no small fry at Twitter. According to a deposition by FBI agent Elvis Chan, Sherrer was one of the attorneys he interfaced with on "disinformation" at Twitter.

9) Twitter didn't just rely on the voices of prominent physicians like Fauci. Oddly enough, they also worked with Big Pharma companies and pharmacy chains to shape vaccine marketing campaigns.

10) In December 2020, Twitter announced they would begin removing and labelling tweets that contained vaccine "misinformation" especially concerning COVID-19 vaccines.

11) During that same time frame, Twitter began working with Johnson and Johnson on a COVID-19 vaccine "marketing strategy" and with CVS pharmacy to promote approved narratives.

Newly released emails reveal that the Biden White House was involved in Facebook's censorship of The BMJ's investigation into Pfizer. The individuals involved lack scientific or medical backgrounds. Facebook promised to reduce the spread of vaccine-discouraging content, even if it was true. The investigation highlighted data integrity issues in Pfizer's COVID-19 trial. Despite lacking errors, Facebook's fact-checker claimed it lacked context. The Biden administration's actions raise concerns about First Amendment violations and the suppression of a free press. Accountability and protection of constitutional rights are crucial. Democrats' silence on this matter is questionable. Would Republicans be treated the same way?

Covid-19: Researcher blows the whistle on data integrity issues in Pfizer’s vaccine trial Revelations of poor practices at a contract research company helping to carry out Pfizer’s pivotal covid-19 vaccine trial raise questions about data integrity and regulatory oversight. Paul D Thacker reports In autumn 2020 Pfizer’s chairman and chief executive, Albert Bourla, released an open letter to the billions of people around the world who were investing their hopes in a safe and effective covid-19 vaccine to end the pandemic. “As I’ve said before, we are operating at the speed of science,” Bourla wrote, explaining to the public when they could expect a Pfizer vaccine to be authorised in the United States.1 But, for researchers who were testing Pfizer’s vaccine at several sites in Texas during that autumn, speed may have come at the cost of data integrity and patient safety. A regional director who was employed at the research organisation Ventavia Research Group has told The BMJ that the company falsified data, unblinded patients, employed inadequately trained vaccinators, and was slow to follow up on adverse events reported in Pfizer’s pivotal phase III trial. Staff who conducted quality control checks were overwhelmed by the volume of problems they were finding. After repeatedly notifying Ventavia of these problems, the regional director, Brook Jackson (video 1), emailed a complaint to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Ventavia fired her later the same day. Jackson has provided The BMJ with dozens of internal company documents, photos, audio recordings, and emails. Video 1 Whistleblower Brook Jackson tells The BMJ about her experience working on the Pfizer covid-19 vaccine trial On its website Ventavia calls itself the largest privately owned clinical research company in Texas and lists many awards it has won for its contract work.2 But Jackson has told The BMJ that, during the two weeks she was employed at Ventavia in September 2020, … bmj.com

US-funded scientist Ben Hu from the Wuhan Institute of Virology fell ill in November 2019 with Covid19-like symptoms. Hu worked under Shi Zhengli, who was modifying coronaviruses to infect humans. Hu was a subcontractor to Peter Daszak's EcoHealth Alliance and received a USAID grant. USAID officials redirected virus grant money to Daszak's Global Virome Project, which is under criminal investigation. NIH and Daszak did not respond to comments. Media gaslighting has misled the public about the WIV.

2. @WhiteCoatWaste got the NIAID grant with Ben Hu's name on it. This is the NIH institute that Tony Fauci ran. Ya' know, the guy who said he didn't fund this research? Document shows Ben Hu is a subcontractor to Peter Daszak's EcoHealth Alliance. Hu also reports a USAID grant.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

3. The Journal notes that they reported back in 2021 that these three WIV researchers had fallen sick. Those names remained classified until now: Ben Hu, Yu Ping, and Yan Zhu. So this has been known in classified documents ... for years!

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

4. Ben Hu works under Shi Zhengli at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Gain of function = "modifying coronaviruses so they can bind to human cells" meaning infect them.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

5. The United States poured over $1 million into research at the WIV for researchers working under Shi Zhengli, who was a contractor to Peter Daszak EcoHealth Alliance. FYI: It's ridiculous that people keep goading China to become transparent. Open the books at NIH & USAID!

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

6. The media has gaslighted us for years about WIV. Here's NY Times @carlzimmer praising Shi Zhengli: "her accomplishments and foresight are exactly what we need if we want to stop more coronaviruses...." Zimmer went on to write years of misleading NYT articles on virus research

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

7. Here's another example of media gaslighting. Buzzfeed's @paldhous smeared @WhiteCoatWaste last year as "right wing." Does this term even mean anything anymore? Again #scicom writers write, they don't report. W/o @WhiteCoatWaste we wouldn't have these documents.

8. As for Ben Hu's USAID money.... as I reported last year, USAID officials illegally redirected some virus grant money to a new thing called The Global Virome Project that is headed up by a former USAID official, Peter Daszak of EcoHealth, and academics at UC Davis.

Academics from Brown University and Stanford are aiding in censoring social media, according to internal documents from Twitter. Alex Stamos, who serves on the advisory committee of the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), said before the 2020 election that their goal was to operationalize their work. Claire Wardle, a central figure in Big Disinformation, was chosen to brief CISA's advisory committee and formed First Draft with Google money. Wardle rushed out a report on vaccine misinformation days after Pfizer released preliminary findings for their COVID vaccine.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

3. Before the 2020 election, Stanford's Alex Stamos said at the Commonwealth Fund, "Our goal is to operationalise our work." Seriously, he said this out loud.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

4. Like University of Washington professor Kate Starbird, Stamos serves on the advisory committee of the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency or CISA--a DHS agency

5. In fact, Stanford's Stamos formed the Krebs Stamos Group with the former head of CISA, Chris Krebs. I'm not joking. It's right there on the website.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

5. The Chair of CISA's advisory committee is Tom Fanning, the CEO of Southern Company. @SenWhitehouse called out Southern Company for funding climate change disinformation. So why is he ignoring this today?

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

6. A central figure in Big Disinformation is researcher Claire Wardle. With Google money in 2015, Wardle formed First Draft which claimed to be “the world’s foremost non-profit organisation focused on research and practice to tackle misinformation and disinformation.”

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

7. Guess who came calling? I tripped over this document marked “for official use only” that finds Wardle had also been chosen to brief CISA’s advisory committee. CISA says they will get back to explain how often Wardle briefed them.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

8. Wardle was also involved in this Ted event on vaccines. The invite to Twitter was sent by Alexios Mantzarlis. A former fact checker, Mantzarlis has since joined Google where he focuses on misinformation.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

9. “This is too important a topic to not share lessons,” Mantzarlis emailed, stating that goals were to create a list of relevant information on vaccines that could be converted into advice for social media platforms. QUESTION: What is Big Disinformation's obsession w/ vaccines?

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

10. But when a Twitter official asked for more information, Wardle responded, “Sorry you weren’t able to attend the event on the 30th. It ended up being a really great conversation, with real emphasis on quality information around vaccines.”

12. Days later, Wardle rushes out a report on vaccine misinformation. She sends Twitter a looky-look the day before she releases the report.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

15. QUESTION: How often do academics put out white papers like this to promote a corporate product? Does this seem scholarly? But wait, the report on "misinformation" contains misinformation, of course.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

16. Wardle claimed in her report that vaccine mandates are “one of the prominent anti-vaccination narratives”—a narrative which, oddly enough, proved to be accurate when US companies as well as state and federal agencies began mandating COVID vaccines.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

17. Did Wardle's First Draft correct their report. Nope. They just lurched forward in support of vaccine mandates, by publishing blog posts with headlines that described discussions around mandated vaccinations as “disinformation” as well.

A journalist named Taylor Lorenz has been accused of using unorthodox reporting tactics and working in concert with her sources to get accounts banned on Twitter. She has also been accused of doxxing and harassing individuals. Despite this, she has been given privileged access by Twitter to ban accounts. Lorenz has not responded to questions about these allegations. More information can be found at DisInfoChron.

3. The month prior, Taylor Lorenz got this tiny account banned. Surprise! The account detailed Lorenz as a Manhattan rich girl, who attended Swiss boarding school, and whose uncle owns Internet Archive, thus erasing her past.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

4. But did @fearthefloof violate Twitter's rules? Nope. No ban evasion, abuse, harassment toward Taylor Lorenz, platform manipulation, or the sharing of personal information. “The account was generally healthy and mostly conversational or commentary in nature.”

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

5. Nonetheless, Twitter suspended the account because it "violates the Twitter Media Policy." The account then deactivated.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

6. A month prior to that, Lorenz went after @DrJBhattacharya for tweeting an email by her friend and itinerant blogger @WalkerBragman. Bhattacharya tweeted a harassing email Bragman sent him and it had Bragman's contact info.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

7. Bragman played this all up on Twitter of course to call attention to himself, retweeting Bhattcharya's tweet, before people made fun of him for "doxing himself." Manhattan rich kids playing at journalist are easily bruised, it seems.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

8. Bragman's game is to constantly accuse people of being "Koch funded." FYI: Soros funded me to give the plenary talk at a 2019 BMJ conference on investigative journalism, but that does not make me a "Soros funded" journalist.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

9. Several of Lorenz's past reporting targets tell me she seems to work in concert with her sources. After Lorenz doxed @libsoftiktok in the Post, Alejandra Caraballo sent Twitter a "private letter" to remove Libs of TikTok. Lorenz quoted Caraballo in the Post that next month.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

10. The letter was sent by Caraballo and several groups including the Center for Countering Digital Hate, a favored source in Lorenz essays on banning.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

11. I asked Caraballo what came of the meeting w/ Twitter and to see the letter they sent. But got no response. I also don't know if Libs of TikTok was successful in getting Caraballo suspended for harassment.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

12. It's hard to understand Lorenz's concerns about doxxing when she has done this so many times herself. Here's one allegation in a defamation lawsuit by @littlemissjacob against Lorenz that is still working it's way through the courts.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

13. Lorenz had more than special reporting access to get accounts banned. When Tucker Carlson did a piece ridiculing her, Twitter put out an alert-"We need to be careful with her." I couldn't evidence that Twitter provided this support to other reporters. I never got it.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

14. Taylor also provided special support to a source in stories she wrote for the Atlantic, NY Times, and recently for the Post. When Jackson Weimer's account was suspended, Lorenz put this in front of Twitter.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

15. Lorenz has incredibly unorthodox (is that the right word?) reporting tactics. Here's an affidavit signed by someone she quoted in the article about @littlemissjacob FYI: this person was a minor.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

16. Here's an affidavit signed by a Lorenz source for a NY Times story about Arya Toufanian

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

17. Toufanian told me he sued Lorenz over the article, and she then began sending messages to gin up a DOJ investigation against him. This email Lorenz is sending around is for an Assistant US Attorney in NY.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

18. Toufanian later received a subpoena from the Southern District that reads like a rip and read of Lorenz's article. The investigation dragged on for 3 years. He recently received this email to pick up his laptop that was confiscated. "I was never charged."

19. Neither Lorenz nor Cameron Barr with the Post responded to questions. Thanks so much to @TexasLindsay_ for helping to collect/organize these #TwitterFiles.

Dr. Anthony Fauci denied having a Twitter account or knowing how to access a tweet during a deposition in November 2020. However, an internal Twitter report in March 2021 revealed that Fauci took over the White House COVID-19 Response account. Twitter also worked with Big Pharma companies and pharmacy chains to shape vaccine marketing campaigns. Johnson and Johnson began marketing their products on Twitter in the summer of 2021. Harvard's Martin Kulldorff is suing the federal government for colluding with social media companies on censorship.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

1) Twitter Files #FauciPharmaFiles Last December, @elonmusk sent out his viral tweet about Fauci. Fauci went on Fox News and said he had "no clue what [Elon] was talking about."

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

2) "A lot of people are spouting out a lot of things about me and Twitter," Fauci told @FoxNews. "I've never had a Twitter account. I don't intend on having a Twitter account, and I've had nothing to do with Twitter. So I don't know what they're talking about when they say that."

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

3) Fauci made similar claims, during multiple exchanges, in a 7-hour deposition, where he denied using Twitter or even knowing how to access a tweet.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

4) But in an internal Twitter report in March 2021, the company revealed "Dr. Anthony Fauci did an account takeover for @WHOCOVIDResponse." This runs contrary to Fauci's public statements and sworn deposition given on Nov 23, 2022.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

5) According to this tweet, Fauci took over the White House COVID-19 Response account again, in April 2021.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

6) Fauci was beloved by Twitter 1.0 Elon Musk tweeted last December that former employees had an internal Slack channel unironically called "Fauci Fan Club." (pssst, don't disagree w/ Fauci)

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

7) Attorney Angela Sherrer, who left when Musk sought to buy Twitter, praised Fauci as "the leading trusted voice about the COVID-19 response in the United States."

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

8) Angela Sherrer was no small fry at Twitter. According to a deposition by FBI agent Elvis Chan, Sherrer was one of the attorneys he interfaced with on "disinformation" at Twitter.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

9) Twitter didn't just rely on the voices of prominent physicians like Fauci. Oddly enough, they also worked with Big Pharma companies and pharmacy chains to shape vaccine marketing campaigns.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

10) In December 2020, Twitter announced they would begin removing and labelling tweets that contained vaccine "misinformation" especially concerning COVID-19 vaccines.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

11) During that same time frame, Twitter began working with Johnson and Johnson on a COVID-19 vaccine "marketing strategy" and with CVS pharmacy to promote approved narratives.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

12) By the summer of 2021, Johnson and Johnson began a full court press to market a ton of their products on Twitter, including a controversial antidepressant.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

13) Much thanks to @TexasLindsay_ who helped collect and organise #TwitterFiles. We read and read, until our eyes bled. More to come!

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

14) Harvard's @MartinKulldorff who is suing the federal government for colluding w/ social media companies on censorship "Twitter should be a place for people to exchange ideas without censoring." https://disinformationchronicle.substack.com/p/twitter-files-twitter-loves-dr-fauci

Cochrane denies any correction to their review, contradicting Zeynep Tufekci's claim. Tufekci's tweets and essays on masks have been scrutinized, as she previously advised against their use. The flip-flop on mask recommendations by experts like Tufekci and Fauci has been attributed to political lobbying and lack of evidence. Tufekci's influence on WHO policy has also been questioned. Ultimately, Tufekci's own social media presence poses the greatest threat to her credibility.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

1. Cochrane Shoots Back at Media Influencer Zeynep Tufekci's Claim of a "Correction" "There is no correction to the review," an executive at Cochrane told me. (Seriously doubt this will harm her chances at another Ted Talk, though.)

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

2. Cochrane Author John Conly at U of Calgary: "I cannot comment on what Tufekci is meaning or the veracity of her tweets about a correction." In fact, just look at the review and you find no correction.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

3. Cochrane Author John Conly on science: "Contributors should be encouraged to submit their comments via the Cochrane Library." Tufekci took a different route: Twitter and essays. And about those Tufekci tweets and essays....

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

4. What may surprise readers is that a month before she started her mask campaign in March 2020, Zeynep Tufekci tweeted a Feb 2020 essay to followers advising that mask weren't that important. Stop giggling. I'm not joking. Here's the tweets to her essay.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

5. Tufekci has zero expertise in epidemiology, but she has a knack for cultivating editors looking for social media influencers to market clickbait essays to the Ted Talk & NPR tote bag crowd. Just look through her record. 1 study on masks

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

6. The Great Mask-Science Flip Flop of 2020 Tufekci was not the only media ordained COVID expert to have a convert to mask cheerleaders. Anthony Fauci did the same in an email to the former head of HHS. Fauci "I do not recommend you wear a mask."

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

7. Tweeting and Ted Talks are easy, uncovering actual evidence is a tad more difficult. Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer, Theresa Tam, said much the same in a briefing to reporters: "Tam on why Canadians don't need to wear masks."

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

8. BBC's medial correspondent reported that "political lobbying" changed the WHO policy. Surprise! Zeynep tweeted that she influenced WHO, as well.

@thackerpd - Paul D. Thacker

9. The greatest scientific threat to social media influencer Zeynep Tufekci is .... social media influencer Zeynep Tufekci. ZEYNEP V. ZEYNEP
