Speaker 0: We were recently made aware of an alleged vulnerability in the Dominion Voting Systems. It was mentioned in a federal court case. I have to tell you, I didn't even know how to begin to have a discussion on this. I'll start with this. We are not accusing Dominion of anything.
We are not saying that this alleged vulnerability has ever been used or existed. In fact, I've got a been there, done that, got the t shirt. I have another t shirt for you. We're not even saying that this will be used to manipulate the next election. We are doing one thing.
We are highlighting something that was alleged in a federal court. We haven't seen anyone dispute it or even talk about the alleged vulnerability. Now it shouldn't matter what side you're on. It shouldn't matter if you work for Dominion or any other voting machine company. You, me, everyone, we all want a secure election.
We want there to be confidence on all sides when we vote. Talking about potential issues gets us closer to those goals. And asking questions used to be something that the both the left and the right agreed together that we should be doing. I'm gonna show you a transcript of a conversation on PBS regarding Georgia's voting machines. 2 of the experts, Alex Halderman and Harry hoo Hursti, said that they were potential, vulnerabilities that attackers could take advantage of.
Said that Georgia's system was complicated and it doesn't seem to have any safeguards. If you're curious, Georgia's system is Dominion, the same system mentioned in the recent petition. Now the alleged vulnerability is different, but here they are all freely talking about it. Take a look at this transcript. It was October 2020.
Why why was it okay for both sides to talk about it then, but hardly anyone will do it now? Harry is somewhat of a legend in the community that searches for vulnerabilities in electronic voting systems. He was featured in an HBO documentary explaining how he hacked a Diebold vote a voting machine back in 2005 using a single memory card. I'll tell you the results of that hack later on in the program. But that election system, Diebold, was later bought in 2010 by Dominion.
We don't know if this software is still in use but the HBO documentary website mentioned that as of several years ago, it was. Still used or not used? There is an interesting history here. The other expert featured in that PBS piece was Alex Halderman. Last year, he was given access last year to the Georgia Dominion Voting Machines to see if he could find any vulnerabilities, and he did.
Alderman found Dominion's machines in Georgia are quote, critically vulnerable to hacking, vulnerable to vote switching. Dominion countered that the hack was unrealistic, but federal authorities found the same vulnerabilities and more than 20 cybersecurity experts backed up Halderman's findings. Now there was never any evidence that this was taken advantage of in an election. The worry is that this could be abused in first future elections. So this is actually a good story.
Everyone seems to be in agreement that the hack is possible and we know about it in advance. So it should be easily fixed. Right? All you have to do is upgrade the system before November and it's over. Well, not so fast.
Quote, some of the issues could be mitigated by upgrading the Dominion software, but Georgia officials say the upgrade is unrealistic. An enormous undertaking they won't start until after the 2024 elections. What? I mean, I hate to say that this gives the appearance that they're not taking the election security seriously. That's quite a quote.
I only point out these recent vulnerabilities to show you that they have been found before. And that not only that but the experts and the media used to talk about them all the time. Why is no one talking about this recent alleged vulnerability that was part of a suit petition to the Supreme Court but ultimately waived? Probably because the case was brought forth by Carrie Lake and it was waived off by the Supreme Court just this week. I didn't even wanna touch this case at first because I didn't want this to look like something that was, you know, for or against Kary Lake or Donald Trump or anything.
I don't want to look backward. The past is the past, but we must fix the system if there's a problem. There was one specific allegation in the court documents that caught my eye. It was so technical and specific, I hadn't seen it anywhere. But this is an excerpt from the lawsuit that describes the alleged vulnerability.
This is public, and that's one reason why we wanted to do this show. You can read this for yourself, but I have to warn you. The nerd speak sounds like a mixture of Greek combined with Japanese. This is not something anyone and everyone could do. Luckily, I have my nerd speaker decoder ring.
In a nutshell, here's what it describes. It describes how Dominion's democracy suite systems encrypt their data. An encryption key is needed to access the critical data. Some call it the god key. It should be kept encrypted itself.
But in the allegation described in the lawsuit, it claims that on some Dominion machines, it's not. The allegation claims that the encryption key can easily be secured for on the system, and that the only security safeguard is logging into Windows. This petition that makes this claim from March claims that malicious a malicious actor could use this to, quote, gain total access and control over an election, end quote. When you go to vote and you get a ballot, you mark your selections of the voting machine. And when you're finished, the machine prints the vote.
You take that to a tabulator. An election official scans the ballot into the tabulator and records your vote. The information is later saved to a memory card, and that is taken to a computer. That computer is where this alleged vulnerability is claimed to be. How many people in the election office have access to that computer?
What if the only guy with the key in that office is malicious? What if someone broke in? Now clearly, this does not appear to be something that anyone could pull off. People without the proper skill could not do this. I couldn't do this.
But what's being alleged would take some expertise, but appears that maybe the court filing described this alleged vulnerability as, quote, a bank telling the public that they have the most secure vault in the world and then taping the combination of the vault on the wall next to the door. I'm gonna show you some video here and some long disclaimers. Why don't you take the disclaimer? Because we asked a cyber security expert with knowledge of this allegation to attempt to recreate what was described in the court case. Could they do it?
We asked them if they could use the same Dominion software and then asked if they could screen record the entire process. So they did. Disclaimer and then I think we have another disclaimer coming up. Yeah. So in the additional disclaimer.
Okay. This is the Microsoft admin computer. So you would log in here, put your password in, it would open up to this then you would go into the tabulation. Okay. Database does not require additional password once the viewer is logged into Windows.
Okay. We're fine. All of this up there, it's all encrypted. You see? But the encryption keys are stored in this table right here in plain text.
So they take the keys, this is the key to the main vault, and you cut and paste. You put the last one over here. Now watch what happens. When you put the keys in, here's the last one. This is what happens, all encrypted you see there's no information.
Now you can decrypt the election files using the extracted keys and a few lines of code. Open, there's the encryption. Now using the keys, a description script is executed. And now I have the names. I have I have everything that I need.
It's now decrypted. It's it's list. It's out in the open. A user can run a script to re encrypt it if they wanted to make any changes. The conclusion from the expert with no password election.

Speaker 0: Alright. So we've been trying to keep up with, the all the latest on January 6th. And, one of the people who helps keep us up to date on that is investigative journalist and Believe TV contributor, Steve Baker, who just tweeted out. Steve, efforts on January 6th. I have to self surrender on Tuesday.
Charges are yet unknown. Stay tuned for more information to follow this afternoon. What the hell is going on?
Speaker 1: Hey. I was just having a meeting with the chairman of a house committee. I was there with him for an hour and a half, walked down the hall of the Rayburn building to meet with the staff of another, very important, house member. And as I was finishing up that meeting, I got a text from my attorney. He said, call me.
You know, when your attorney texts you like that, it's never a good thing. Yeah. So I Stepped out into the hallway and he said, well, I wish I had good news. But, the news we've been waiting on for two and a half years is finally here. And the FBI agent who has had my investigation for the last 2 plus years contacted my Raleigh attorney and said that they are going to be filing Charges and that I will be required to self surrender on Tuesday of this week in Raleigh.
So I'm here in DC right now. So I guess I'll be heading home in a couple of days.
Speaker 0: Golly, and they but is is it did your attorney tell you, is it strange that they didn't give you any more information on to explain what the charges were going to be?
Speaker 1: They have been this way since the very beginning. Back 2 years ago, when we got our 1st threat, we were told on November 17, 2021 by assistant US attorney, Anita Eve, out of Philadelphia. My attorney was told that his client, me, would be charged within the week. That was over 2 exactly 2 years ago. And we didn't hear from them again for 20 months until I got a grand jury subpoena about back in August of this year for all my videos that I had taken on January 6.
And so that let us know that they had reopened or at least reevaluated or ignited the case. But back then, They told me that they were gonna charge me with property damage and with, of all things, interstate racketeering probably because of the licensing of my video to other, agency. Oh, yeah. My my videos have been used by HBO documentary, New York Times documentary, Epic Times and several other news agencies all over the world. And so that was the only thing that we could think of.
But then we we, we did a media blitz. They went away. And then we didn't hear from them, as I said, for, 20 months. And then they came back. And then I got the news that I got today.
But, you know, look. The the timing of this is is I'm not even gonna say that it's suspect. I'm absolutely convinced of what the timing is. We have been releasing very important stories hitting right at the heart of what they're doing. We have uncovered corruption in the capitol police.
We haven't covered Actual lies and perjury taking place in trials. And more importantly, there are people that put those officers on the stand. And who puts people on the stand? That would be the Department of Justice. And so we've been poking the bear.
And, you know, the the the truth the truth of the matter is, you know, if if I'm being perfectly honest, they they wanna keep me out of town and they wanna take Just away from me. Mhmm. They wanna take my congressional press badge away from me. And they want me off of this case is what they want. And so most as is the case with most January 6th defendants, they are not allowed to travel to DC.
So unless they consider me a risk unless my attorneys can argue otherwise that this is where I do my work. They're going to have a hard time keeping me from being here.
Speaker 0: Yeah. I mean but I I just I wanna be clear here. There's are they is there argument that you were not a member of the press when you were there on January 6th? Because I know in October was I think it was October, you wrote a piece for Blaze Media about how you had been under federal investigation. And in the article, you said, you know, like many other reporters and photojournalists, both independents and those working directly for established media companies, I followed the story that day where it went, and it happened to be inside the capitol building.
Between a 100 or 200 journalists were either already inside the Capitol covering the event from restricted grounds or followed the ground the crowd inside. I mean, it's just mind blowing to me that they wouldn't see the work that you're doing here, see the work that you've done as a whole, and go, oh, well, we Skye was obviously just trying to document the whole thing. We obviously think we have freedom of the press in this country and we can't do that.
Speaker 1: Right. Well, it's a case of selective prosecution because what they're doing is they are not charging the 60 or so mainstream media journalists that also followed the story where the story went. And by the way, just when when you enter a restricted space, It doesn't matter who you work for. New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, or or Blaze Media. You're not allowed to enter a restricted space at any time.
But if you're going to bring charges against all of the independent journalists are those who reported to other news agencies that were not Helping with, you know, establishing and preserving the narrative, as Nancy Pelosi like to say, then, that's who they're bringing charges against. So that's what we're up against at this moment. And as I said, it's it's the the timing is is, not suspicious to me at all. It's the timing is easily answered, especially After today, when I saw an actual text from a very high ranking capitol police Official who was upset that I have access to their comms, because I posted that last week as well. I posted a screenshot from one of their emails And that made them mad.
And then all of a sudden, here comes the charges.
Speaker 0: Yeah. I mean, you're right. There's no way. This isn't there the timing is very clear, to me. Are you, Steve, are you scared?
I mean, I would be I would be terrified if I was in this position.
Speaker 1: Look, it doesn't feel good, but I've had 2 years to prepare for this. I certainly dealt with it emotionally 2 years ago when the threats first came. And so now I'm just ready for the fight. I've been getting calls from friendly attorneys all day today. And I kind of feel like, you know, we're about to get the band back together.
We're gonna go to war.
Speaker 2: Steve, did what did you do? How many windows did you break? Like, what did you deal while you were there? Like, did you I mean, is there anything that even borderline that you did other than just walk around and and film people?
Speaker 1: I stole image and images and information that they don't want out. That's what I got. And and, no, I didn't I didn't enter the capital until after many hundreds of other people were already inside after the doors were long open, after the police had been had been basically given stand down orders. And they were basically de escalating at that point. And this is this is the real tragedy of what's going on here.
There and I'm not I'm not saying myself. I'm talking about hundreds of people entered that building that day innocently. And when I say innocently, they didn't know that they were breaching They weren't seeing cops providing an effort to keep them out. By then, Cops have basically just said, okay, we've got to contain the situation. And let's not let this thing break out into any more violence than what it is.
And so this is what happened. It was about that time that I entered the building. I walked through. I captured some of the most important video of the day. And then when, it was over, I I left peacefully.
I didn't break anything. I didn't Attacking the law enforcement. I didn't chant. I didn't parade. I didn't wave a flag.
I wasn't wearing any Trump gear. I did what a journalist would do. And then I exited and then Started writing and telling my stories. And then as those stories became more important, I began doing the investigation into all of the things that we are looking at today. The corruption, the anomalies, the setup, all of the above.
Speaker 2: Is it possible to see that they're just trying to draw some line between mainstream journalists an independent journalist? I mean, like, you're with the Blaze Media now, but at that time, you were not. You were an independent journalist, if I'm understanding that right. Are they trying to just, you know, Go after independent journalists?
Speaker 1: That's all that they're doing at this point. But there are independents that submitted their stories To the proper media organization. If you were independent, you're a stringer or you were just a contractor. You you had a relationship with the New Yorker like Luke Mogelson did. Luke Mogelson caught the video of the QAnon Shaman in the the senate chamber praying.
But see, Luke Mogulsen, I don't know whether he has a congressional press badge or not, But he does not have a right to enter the senate chamber. So he has to be held to the same standard as every other journalist, independent or otherwise, that they're charging. And he captured this incredible footage. And then he wrote his story. And he submitted it to the New Yorker.
And they published it. And there you have it. He seems to have a Get out of jail free card.

Speaker 2: Mostly dealing with anger issues. And of course, we did see some of those anger issues displayed. Get the out of here. So So he was already distressed, already seeing things, imagining things, escalating things in his own mind In a way that other officers weren't. I'm not gonna try and play psychologist because I'm not one.
There's just something wrong with him. One of those incidences took place at the top of a stairwell Down in the crypt, it's a staircase that leads down to the lower terrace where a lot of officers were receiving first aid for their injuries. He was surrounded by Some Metropolitan police officers went inexplicably. He just lost control. There was nobody doing any violence of any hype in that room at the time.
In fact, there was only a very, very small handful of protesters in the crypt at that moment. And they were all the way across the room and he just started Screaming and shouting obscenities across the room. And at that moment, captain Ben Smith of the United States Capitol Police Ran over to him, put his hand on his shoulder. Calm down, Harry. Calm down.
Couple of minutes later, Harry broke out and run towards the staircase that led up to what they call the small rotunda or the speakers lobby. And as he's running Towards those stairs, he accidentally hit the button on his magazine from his M4 automatic weapon. The magazine bounces off the floor, 3 other officers run over, one of them picks it up and hands it to him, then Harry runs to the top of the stairs. He's Clearly agitated. He's in a high level of distress, not because he's been fighting with anyone.
When he reached the top of that stairs, that was the moment when oath keeper Ken Harrelson saw this highly distressed officer carrying an automatic rifle arrive to the top of the stairs. Already, something's going There was another scene that took place in which he describes, in the book, not so terribly accurately. He Says that he saw a protester who was leaning against the wall. Another Police officer had given this protester a bottle of water to wash out his eyes because the protester had been sprayed with Pepper spray. The book says that he was screaming obscenity to that protester and yanks the bottle of water out of his hand and And then throws it.
In his own words halfway across the rotunda floor. Harry can be seen entering the rotunda. He is not running, But he does inexplicably walk the full length of the floor. He walks over to this lady sitting On a bench, she is wearing red and complete far end of the capital or the rotunda from where he entered. He is screaming at her And she's doing nothing.
And immediately, an officer has to come over and intervene and actually takes the lady away from officer Dunn. Then Dunn walks over We're to the middle of the rotunda floor where a protester is sitting in the middle, he's not leaning against the wall, he's sitting on the floor, he has 4 or 5 other police officers around him. He does have a full bottle of water in his hand and inexplicably Dunn reaches down and snatches violently, snatches the bottle of water out of his hands, but he Throw it across the floor, he just then ambles across to the other end of the rotunda and walks over and places the bottle On the pedestal of a statute, then a higher ranking officer can be seen talking to Another member of what they call the M4 unit points at Dunn and basically you can see from his hand motions is getting out of here. And that officer immediately goes over to Dunn and immediately waves and grabs him and gets him out of there. Once again, he was not in a position where he was De escalating where he was calm, collected, where he was in control of his own faculties.
Officer Dunn as a Personal training officer who teaches de escalation tactics and procedures was not following the lessons that he himself taught those who he me. In charge of training. When the, the the January 6th Committee was first put together. Nancy Pelosi is famously, recorded as saying
Speaker 3: And it's also our duty to establish and preserve the narrative of that day.
Speaker 2: The stories we have coming out are going to show that there was a concerted effort to manipulate Information, manipulate evidence, suppress evidence, and create evidence that does not exist in order to reach those goals of establishing the narrative.
Speaker 5: He's Been put out as a hero. He received some citizen's award from Joe Biden. MSNBC has treated him like a god. As opposed to Tarik Johnson, what he actually did on January 6th that was heroic, but he's been villainized.
Speaker 2: I Reached out to Harry. I've been very fair in my series about the Capitol Police. I believe that they were set up that day. I told Harry right from the get go that I believe that he was set up as well. My heart Goes out to him, and I hope that, Harry will eventually see a way to maybe talk to me a little bit Further a little deeper and give me a little bit more inside information.

Speaker 0: This is gonna be controversial, but let's go. Here's what I think everybody should agree on. The point of removing the house speaker was to sow chaos. That's what the critics of Matt Gaetz and everybody else is saying. And my advice to the people who voted to remove him is own it.
Admit it. There was no better plan of action of who's going to fill that speaker role. So was the point to sow chaos? Yes. It was.
But the real question to ask, let's get to the bottom of it, is whether chaos is really such a bad thing in times such as these. When we live in a moment where we have a border crisis at our southern border, where there are tens of thousands of illegal migrants crossing per week, driving an epidemic of lawlessness across this country. Are we sure that that status quo is what we want? Or is little chaos really such a bad thing. When we have a national debt of $33,000,000,000,000 and growing under the watch of and and Democrats alike in power, are we sure the status quo is what we want or is a little chaos really such a bad thing?
When we have a climate cult that shackles the United States and shackles our economy while letting our enemy, China, roam free, are we really sure that the status always what we want or the little chaos, such a bad thing. If we're dependent on our enemy for our modern way of life and we have people who are bought and paid for in Washington DC by special interest and a class of lobbyists and a class of super pack puppet masters and we keep marching to our same state, are we really sure that chaos is such a bad thing? That's the real question. I would rather just everybody smoke that out and debate it in the open. Because we have a plan to replace the house speaker.
No. But is that the most important question? No. It's not. We don't have a house speaker.
What's the plan to replace the speaker? Everybody asks. Here's what I say. Who cares until we actually have a plan for how to address the deficit in our budget, how to address the $33,000,000,000,000 in our national debt. How to actually seal our own southern border in this country.
How to deal with an epidemic of crime across the United States of America, how to reduce our dependence on an enemy for our modern way of life. That's what I wanna plan for. And then we're gonna ask the question of who's going to be the best babysitter to shepherd a bunch of people in congress and and a republican party to actually get us there. That's the order we need to go in. And so for everybody out there who's asking the question of what's the plan to get a new speaker, you're asking the wrong question.
What's the plan to actually revive this country? What's the plan to shut down the unconstitutional administrative state? What's the plan to grow this economy. What's the plan to avoid world war 3 by funding wars we shouldn't be funding? What's the plan to declare independence from China?
What's the plan to revive national pride in this country in our missing national identity and to seal our border and to revive meritocracy and to actually pursue excellence in this country again. Yeah. That's the plan I wanna hear about. And then we can talk about who's gonna be the shepherd of actually being the assembly line mover in the house of representatives to get that moving forward. So I guess you might've guessed my view by now.
You know what? Once in a while, a little chaos isn't such a bad thing. Just ask our founding fathers. That's what this country is founded on, and I'm not gonna apologize for it.

Officials briefed on the case tell ABC news that those threats had been deemed credible for comment from the White House, also the Secret Service, but we will bring you updates as soon as we have it. Meanwhile, our chief investigative reporter Josh Margolin has been working his sources and this story. Josh, what do we know at this hour?
Speaker 1: In a shootout with the FBI, the FBI went to his home early morning today in Provo, Utah about 6 AM. That's a pretty standard tactic. They went to arrest him And to search his home after threats had been made online, and they were deemed to be credible. That's troubling.
Speaker 0: So the investigation began back in April. Right? What triggered that? Did they get some type of Tip, what led to the probe? Well, we don't know exactly
Speaker 1: what opened the investigation. We do know that he had been posting online apparently for quite some time long before April. By June, the investigation had matured so much so that they told the Secret Service, obviously, the Secret Service is responsible For protecting the president and to make sure that that any threats, you know, that they get rid of any threats to the president or the people under their protection. And then today, for whatever reason, and we will hopefully start to learn about why the FBI went ahead and wanted to arrest this individual today. Today, they decided to go ahead and, execute these warrants to arrest him and to search the home in the process. This is somebody who boasted about And appreciation for guns, in the process of the FBI coming in, a shootout ensued.
