Let’s begin with the part of John's story already known, McAfee Antivirus. When the first computer viruses began causing panic, John saw the digital threat exploding before anyone else. McAfee Antivirus became his weapon, and soon, it was everywhere. The birth of a Legend.

However, the corporate world was a cage for John. He wasn't wired for board meetings and quarterly reports. So he sold his stake in the company in the early 90s. For John, success wasn't just about the money. It was about the freedom it bought. Freedom is all John wanted.

Now to Belize. After the devastating loss of his nephew, John wanted a change of scenery and decided Belize would be the perfect place to retire. Being the new wealthy gringo on the island, this of course gained the attention of those looking to make John's wealth their own.

The GSU raided John’s home, pretending to search for illegal firearms. The true cause of the raid was that John refused to donate to the reigning political party. John was cleared of all wrongdoing, but the war was just beginning. https://aintivirus.ai/blog/dog-poisoned-during-raid https://aintivirus.ai/blog/cause-of-the-raid

After the raid, John went on a warpath to clear his name. John needed to collect evidence, so he gifted laptops with keystroke logging software to police officers, cabinet minister’s assistants, girlfriends of powerful men, & boyfriends of powerful women. https://aintivirus.ai/blog/a-clear-and-present-danger

John collected troves of evidence of corruption, extending to the head of the Belizean government. Eventually, it was discovered what John had done. He had to go into hiding & also began detailing his life on the run in a blog. https://aintivirus.ai/blog/i-am-safe

Fearing for his life, John fled to Guatemala, however once there, his location was outed by Vice magazine. John hired a powerful attorney who worked to get him home to America. With enough time, money & a faked heart attack, John escaped with his life. https://aintivirus.ai/blog/john-mcafee-detained-in-guatemala

John made a safe return to America, but his troubles didn't end upon his arrival. In fact, his troubles increased exponentially. It's no secret that I was working as a prostitute in South Beach Miami when I met John. This is detailed here in this article: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9631284/john-mcafee-claims-wife-spied-for-crime-lords-first-interview/

Gun-toting antivirus fugitive John McAfee claims ex-prostitute wife spied on him for crime lords in first interview since arrest Antivirus tycoon John McAfee was detained in "pirate" waters in the Dominican Republic last week for having weapons and ammunition onboard his yacht. Now, in his first interview since his arrest, he tells Sun Online about his former prostitute wife's betrayal, his 47 children and the moment he was arrested by gun-toting cops. thesun.co.uk

Once I came clean about the pimp, the cartel, & what I had been doing, our relationship was able to get back on track, but we both were still very much in danger. There were many attempts on John's life & there were also a few close calls, which led to short hospital stays.

@theemrsmcafee - Janice Elizabeth McAfee

Despite all the constant danger in our lives, John stayed in the press, sharing his knowledge on a variety of subjects but most importantly advocating for privacy. You can see the old interviews here: https://www.youtube.com/@JohnMcafee1/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIJWUEu1874 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcRW3LzVsco

Then came the blockchain. When John was introduced to cryptocurrencies, he realized that for the first time in history, the blockchain provided us with decentralized, peer-to-peer transacting. Finally, giving financial freedom back to the people & leveling the playing field. https://t.co/XrwSmnSrFI

John began sharing this information on every stage he was invited to speak on. During his 2016 presidential run, he began to speak out about the fact of income tax being unconstitutional, as well as how taxes couldn't be collected if we stopped using fiat & used only crypto. https://t.co/aDIAdI9qUA

@theemrsmcafee - Janice Elizabeth McAfee

John was someone who practiced what he preached & he made the decision to stop paying taxes. Each year, John wrote a letter to the IRS informing them of his intent to not pay his taxes. It wasn't until he began sharing this publicly that a decision was made to come after him.

@theemrsmcafee - Janice Elizabeth McAfee

John received word of an impending grand jury indictment, but before they could arrest us, we took our guns, our dogs & headed for the Bahamas because there's no income tax, making it impossible for us to be extradited back to the States. Things were good... until they weren't. https://t.co/pfGJPSkT6T

@theemrsmcafee - Janice Elizabeth McAfee

A few months into our stay in the Bahamas, John received word the police on the island would attempt to illegally arrest him for any crime, real or imagined, as a means to get him into custody so he could be shipped back to America. This did not end well for the chief of police. https://t.co/GyDt6GyvvC

John decided we would make our way to Cuba, which would be safe from any American influence. But we were wrong. A few weeks into our stay, we were informed of demands made for our deportation back to the States. Instead of complying, they gave us 72 hours to leave the country.

@theemrsmcafee - Janice Elizabeth McAfee

Leaving Cuba, we headed to the D.R. It was a 4 day, arduous journey. We ran out of food, water, & the seas were incredibly rough the entire time we were traveling. Arriving to the D.R., we thought, would be a welcome reprieve from our arduous journey. But, again, we were wrong.

@theemrsmcafee - Janice Elizabeth McAfee

Once in the D.R., we were immediately detained & kept on our boat for hours without explanation. Finally, after many hours, our boat was boarded by a man & woman, without identification, who demanded we give up our phones & kept us from entering our boat while they searched it.

@theemrsmcafee - Janice Elizabeth McAfee

We were then taken to a jail where we were detained 4 days. Again, with no explanation. Our dogs remained on the boat for those 4 days without food & water. We weren't even allowed to check on them or have one of our security guards go be with them. https://t.co/qgKRfQ4qEv

@theemrsmcafee - Janice Elizabeth McAfee

We were finally allowed to speak with immigration, who explained we were being deported back to our country of origin. John, having dual citizenship, argued to be sent to the UK, but the head of immigration said this was not possible & he must go back to America.

@theemrsmcafee - Janice Elizabeth McAfee

John hired 2 attorneys to help with his legal battle, arguing that he could choose which country he was sent to. The attorneys needed time to file their motions, so John faked a stroke in order to buy time. His performance was good enough to be sent to the hospital.

@theemrsmcafee - Janice Elizabeth McAfee

The filing of the motions is what turned the tides for us because we were illegally detained & that was enough for the head of immigration to change his tune. In the end, they paid for our flights to the UK, where we escaped deeper into Europe & and went into hiding. Again. https://t.co/AbiXKInk8E
