What they are. A part of ZK is hailed as the next big solution in scaling Ethereum, but that isn't the whole picture. ZK proof technologies are a broad field, and the movement has spawned various variants to address proof of ownership, privacy, enabled identity verification, and scalability. As an investor, you will encounter these phrases, ZK Daps, ZK Snarks, ZK Roll Up, Optimistic Roll Ups ZK, Starks, Monolithic versus Modular. In general, ZK proofs allow 1 party, the prover, to prove to another, the verifier, that a statement is true without revealing any information beyond the validity of the statement itself? ZK Snarks versus ZK Starks. Both technologies tackle the issue above in different ways. While there are many other solutions, those 2 are the giants battling it out in the public eye.
