Everything I know about the illegal jewish tunnel story!
Doing this because I watched the story unfold in real time last night, and by the time I woke up the story was viral, and a whole slew of fake narratives and questions started going around. Here’s the research:

Links to everything will be provided at the end.
A few weeks ago in NYC, local residences began complaining about noise disturbances, and when a construction crew in the area needed to locate a water main, they discovered a primitively dug underground tunnel

Israeli exchange students, studying in NYC took it upon themselves to illegally dig a tunnel connecting to a women’s bathroom in the adjacent building, and then out to the street via an air vent. Allegedly to “expand the building”

Let me be clear. These students are not United States Citizens. They’re Israelis. They had no authorization to dig the tunnel, neither the Chabad House nor these students own the land.

One rabbi explains his disgust- “A horrible thing happened today and unfortunately it's been happening for many, many years. Where a group of people, who were not appointed by anyone-who have taken reign and control of the Holy Shul of 770 and decided to do as they wish”

Fake reports are flying around *for whatever reason* but it appears that the tunnels are new which explains the noise complaints. They were NOT made to escape covid lockdowns and join two buildings. They don’t even own the land, or the adjoining building.

Yesterday, cement trucks and police showed up to fill the tunnel after concerns of structural damage to the above buildings, and these same students began tearing down the wall of the temple in an attempt to make filling the tunnel impossible.

The Israeli students in question tore down the walls, started a riot with the police, and protested inside the tunnel. 10 people have since been arrested and the buildings are closed to the public.

Here’s the street access to the tunnel, the distance from the Chabad house, and video of the access being sealed off.

And here’s a lovely view of the tunnel interiors

Now, I dissected the walk through of the tunnel and here’s what I found. On top of the clear removal of filthy soiled mattresses. And the tunnel having access to a women’s bathroom. These are all actual facts, I’ll let you decide what went on here.

Oh! One more thing. This specific group has a history of causing problems. I read numerous reports that they ignore local laws, disrespect communities and feel like they can do as they please. Which explains the dancing and and mockery they’re making of this whole incidence. https://t.co/tAwPwazhLY
