It deserves news coverage. Not the hedged coverage of "associates express concerns about drugs" but something more comprehensive and honest - "Why has Elon Musk lost his mind? How much damage is he doing to America? Does it make sense for one man to have this much wealth?"

Also, one thing that seems obvious is that Musk is doing massive amounts of coke at work. Remember in the WSJ story, about people wanting him to go to rehab? Well that's what you go to rehab for. No one goes to rehab for ecstasy or ketamine
