I’ve commented on this situation a bit ago and I’ll say it again.. there is no way the entire buildings sprinkler system would be shut down without multiple tampers and supervisory alarms going off. The moment you start turning the butterfly valve to shut off the water supply you will be alerting the Fire Dept. For the system to be offline someone would have to call it in as well so there is a trail to be followed here to see what actually happened.
