Absolutely masterful interview on Gaza of Dominique De Villepin, former Prime Minister of France, who famously led France's opposition to the Iraq war and who, IMHO is the best diplomat the West has produced in decades. This is so important, so incredibly well argued, that I decided to translate it in full: "Hamas has set a trap for us, and this trap is one of maximum horror, of maximum cruelty. And so there's a risk of an escalation in militarism, of more military interventions, as if we could with armies solve a problem as serious as the Palestinian question. There's also a second major trap, which is that of Occidentalism. We find ourselves trapped, with Israel, in this western bloc which today is being challenged by most of the international community. [Presenter: What is Occidentalism?] Occidentalism is the idea that the West, which for 5 centuries managed the world's affairs, will be able to quietly continue to do so. And we can clearly see, even in the debates of the French political class, that there is the idea that, faced with what is currently happening in the Middle East, we must continue the fight even more, towards what might resemble a religious or a civilizational war. That is to say, to isolate ourselves even more on the international stage. This is not the way, especially since there's a third trap, which is that of moralism. And here we have in a way the proof, through what is happening in Ukraine and what is happening in the Middle East, of this double standard that is denounced everywhere in the world, including in recent weeks when I travel to Africa, the Middle East, or Latin America. The criticism is always the same: look at how civilian populations are treated in Gaza, you denounce what happened in Ukraine, and you are very timid in the face of the tragedy unfolding in Gaza. Consider international law, the second criticism that is made by the global south. We sanction Russia when it aggresses Ukraine, we sanction Russia when it doesn't respect the resolutions of the United Nations, and it's been 70 years that the resolutions of the United Nations have been voted in vain and that Israel doesn't respect them. [Presenter: Do you believe that the Westerners are currently guilty of hubris?] Westerners must open their eyes to the extent of the historical drama unfolding before us to find the right answers. [Presenter: What is the historical drama? I mean, we're talking about the tragedy of October 7th first and foremost, right?] Of course, there are these horrors happening, but the way to respond to them is crucial. Are we going to kill the future by finding the wrong answers... [Presenter: Kill the future?] Kill the future, yes! Why? [Presenter: But who is killing whom?] You are in a game of causes and effects. Faced with the tragedy of history, one cannot take this 'chain of causality' analytical grid, simply because if you do you can't escape from it. Once we understand that there is a trap, once we realize that behind this trap there has also been a change in the Middle East regarding the Palestinian issue... The situation today is profoundly different [from what it was in the past]. The Palestinian cause was a political and secular cause. Today we are faced with an Islamist cause, led by Hamas. Obviously, this kind of cause is absolute and allows no form of negotiation. On the Israeli side, there has also been a development. Zionism was secular and political, championed by Theodor Herzl in the late 19th century. It has largely become messianic, biblical today. This means that they too do not want to compromise, and everything that the far-right Israeli government does, continuing to encourage colonization, obviously makes things worse, including since October 7th. So in this context, understand that we are already in this region facing a problem that seems profoundly insoluble. Added to this is the hardening of states. Diplomatically, look at the statements of the King of Jordan, they are not the same as six months ago. Look at the statements of Erdogan in Turkey. [Presenter: Precisely, these are extremely harsh statements...] Extremely worrying. Why? Because if the Palestinian cause, the Palestinian issue, hasn't been brought to the forefront, hasn't been put on stage [for a while], and if most of the youth today in Europe have often never even heard of it, it remains for the Arab peoples the mother of all battles. All the progress made towards an attempt to stabilize the Middle East, where one could believe... [Presenter: Yes, but whose fault is it? I have a hard time following you, is it Hamas's fault?] But Ms. Malherbe, I am trained as a diplomat. The question of fault will be addressed by historians and philosophers. [Presenter: But you can't remain neutral, it's difficult, it's complicated, isn't it?] I am not neutral, I am in action. I am simply telling you that every day that passes, we can ensure that this horrific cycle stops... that's why I speak of a trap and that's why it's so important to know what response we are going to give. We stand alone before history today. And we do not treat this new world the way we currently do, knowing that today we are no longer in a position of strength, we are not able to manage on our own, as the world's policemen. [Presenter: So what do we do?] Exactly, what should we do? This is where it is essential not to cut off anyone on the international stage. [Presenter: Including the Russians?] Everyone. [Presenter: Everyone? Should we ask the Russians for help?] I'm not saying we should ask the Russians for help. I'm saying: if the Russians can contribute by calming some factions in this region, then it will be a step in the right direction. [Presenter: How can we proportionally respond to barbarism? It's no longer army against army.] But listen, Appolline de Malherbe, the civilian populations that are dying in Gaza, don't they exist? So because horror was committed on one side, horror must be committed on the other? [Presenter: Do we indeed need to equate the two?] No, it's you who are doing that. I'm not saying I equate the faults. I try to take into account what a large part of humanity thinks. There is certainly a realistic objective to pursue, which is to eradicate the Hamas leaders who committed this horror. And not to confuse the Palestinians with Hamas, that's a realistic goal. The second thing is a targeted response. Let's define realistic political objectives. And the third thing is a combined response. Because there is no effective use of force without a political strategy. We are not in 1973 or in 1967. There are things no army in the world knows how to do, which is to win in an asymmetrical battle against terrorists. The war on terror has never been won anywhere. And it instead triggers extremely dramatic misdeeds, cycles, and escalations. If America lost in Afghanistan, if America lost in Iraq, if we lost in the Sahel, it's because it's a battle that can't be won simply, it's not like you have a hammer that strikes a nail and the problem is solved. So we need to mobilize the international community, get out of this Western entrapment in which we are. [Presenter: But when Emmanuel Macron talks about an international coalition…] Yes, and what was the response? [Presenter: None.] Exactly. We need a political perspective, and this is challenging because the two-state solution has been removed from the Israeli political and diplomatic program. Israel needs to understand that for a country with a territory of 20,000 square kilometers, a population of 9 million inhabitants, facing 1.5 billion people... Peoples have never forgotten that the Palestinian cause and the injustice done to the Palestinians was a significant source of mobilization. We must consider this situation, and I believe it is essential to help Israel, to guide... some say impose, but I think it's better to convince, to move in this direction. The challenge is that there is no interlocutor today, neither on the Israeli side nor the Palestinian side. We need to bring out interlocutors. [Presenter: It's not for us to choose who will be the leaders of Palestine.] The Israeli policy over recent years did not necessarily want to cultivate a Palestinian leadership... Many are in prison, and Israel's interest - because I repeat: it was not in their program or in Israel's interest at the time, or so they thought - was instead to divide the Palestinians and ensure that the Palestinian question fades. This Palestinian question will not fade. And so we must address it and find an answer. This is where we need courage. The use of force is a dead end. The moral condemnation of what Hamas did - and there's no "but" in my words regarding the moral condemnation of this horror - must not prevent us from moving forward politically and diplomatically in an enlightened manner. The law of retaliation is a never-ending cycle. [Presenter: The "eye for an eye, tooth for tooth".] Yes. That's why the political response must be defended by us. Israel has a right to self-defense, but this right cannot be indiscriminate vengeance. And there cannot be collective responsibility of the Palestinian people for the actions of a terrorist minority from Hamas. When you get into this cycle of finding faults, one side's memories clash with the other's. Some will juxtapose Israel's memories with the memories of the Nakba, the 1948 catastrophe, which is a disaster that the Palestinians still experience every day. So you can't break these cycles. We must have the strength, of course, to understand and denounce what happened, and from this standpoint, there's no doubt about our position. But we must also have the courage, and that's what diplomacy is... diplomacy is about being able to believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel. And that's the cunning of history; when you're at the bottom, something can happen that gives hope. After the 1973 war, who would have thought that before the end of the decade, Egypt would sign a peace treaty with Israel? The debate shouldn't be about rhetoric or word choice. The debate today is about action; we must act. And when you think about action, there are two options. Either it's war, war, war. Or it's about trying to move towards peace, and I'll say it again, it's in Israel's interest. It's in Israel's interest!"

The truth is, we’re pretty great at creating societies worth living in. Our history of equal justice, while imperfect, is still the envy of the world. Le Hamas dit qu'il veut éradiquer Israël de la même manière que l'Islam a éradiqué l'Empire romain d'Orient, et nous lui répondons en convoquant un « droit international » auquel il est d'autant plus imperméable que ce droit puise ses racines dans la philosophie européenne et la théologie chrétienne (Saint Thomas d'Aquin, Hugo Grotius, Francisco de Vitoria & Cie). Pendant que la justice française ordonne de déboulonner une statue de la vierge sur l'île de Ré, Erdogan désigne l'Occident déchristianisé comme les héritiers de Godefroy de Bouillon. Erdogan nous prend à partie. Il agite la menace d'un combat « entre la Croix et le Croissant ». « Comment êtes-vous entrés ici ? », demande-t-il à Israël. Nous nous pinçons le nez quand nous entendons le nom d'Huntington (que personne n'a lu). Et nous répondons par un silence munichois à celui qui se rêve en nouveau Sultan et dont les paroles s'inscrivent dans un schéma huntingtonien de manière caricaturale. Un djihadiste assassine de sang froid un professeur. Nous savons qu'il cherchait « un professeur d'Histoire » et non de mathématiques ou de sport. Et nous commentons ce « fait divers » - qui a déjà disparu de nos écrans - comme le ferait un animateur de colonie de vacances face à des gosses difficiles, à la manière de ce journaliste de BFM TV qui réagit avec la plus grande désinvolture lorsqu'il interview « cet ami » du djihadiste d'Arras qui considère que « tuer des gens ne l'a jamais intéressé ». Nous ne comprenons rien. Car nous ne prenons plus le fait religieux au sérieux. Nous regardons la religion avec dédain. Nous l'envisageons avec Marx comme le « soupir de la créature opprimée », un prétexte, un voile, un instrument, au lieu d'y voir un moteur de l'Histoire. À croire que l'Islam a attendu les Croisades ou l'expédition de Bonaparte à la fin du XVIIIe siècle pour être le terreau de forces et d'idéologies impérialistes... C'est moins notre sécularisation que notre amnésie qui est à l'origine de notre incompréhension. Nous avons oublié le temps pas si lointain où la religion - le christianisme en l'occurrence - régulait, pour le meilleur et pour le pire, la quasi-totalité de nos existences individuelles et collectives. Nous avons oublié le temps où les évêques affluaient des quatre coins de l'Empire romain à l'invitation des Empereurs pour trancher la question ô combien grave et existentielle de savoir si Jésus est Dieu, Fils de Dieu, ou peut-être les deux à la fois. Nous avons oublié le temps où les Empereurs allaient à Canossa pour supplier les Papes de lever une excommunication qui mettait leur autorité en péril, dans le cadre de querelles - là encore ô combien existentielles - sur la nomination du personnel ecclésiastique... Nous avons oublié le temps où le prêtre était un personnage de la vie quotidienne, au même titre que le boulanger, l'oncle et la tante, au point d'être au centre des intrigues de la littérature classique. Nous sommes ethnocentrés. Parce que l'Occident a été le terreau des grandes utopies irénistes (comme le projet de paix perpétuel de l'Abbé de Saint-Pierre ou d'Emmanuel Kant ou les États-Unis d'Europe de Victor Hugo), nous projetons sur le monde entier un pacifisme mielleux qui le fait bien rigoler. Parce que nous regardons notre passé impérial avec dégoût, nous croyons ce complexe colonial partagé par tous. Nous ne nous demandons pas un seul instant pourquoi il n'existe pas de wokisme à Pékin, à Ankara, à Tripoli ou à Islamabad. Nous sommes ethnocentrés. Nous projetons sur des régions que nous ne connaissons pas, et dont nous n'étudions plus l'histoire ni la sociologie - de peur d'être désignés comme de méchants orientalistes à la solde de l'impérialisme mais aussi et surtout par paresse - notre propre niveau de sécularisation. C'est-à-dire un niveau de sécularisation que ces régions n'ont pas atteint et qu'elles méprisent par dessus tout. Nous n'avons rien retenu de la leçon de Michel Foucault en Iran qui, loin d'approuver la Révolution khomeiniste comme le prétendront ses contempteurs, se contentait d'alerter ses concitoyens sur la puissance du phénomène qu'il avait sous les yeux : « Quel sens, pour les Iraniens à rechercher au prix même de leur vie cette chose dont nous avons, nous autres, oublié la possibilité depuis la Renaissance et les grandes crises du christianisme : une spiritualité politique. J’entends déjà des Français qui rient, mais je sais qu’ils ont tort ». Désormais, nous ne rions plus. Nous sommes tétanisés par l'éventualité d'un combat dont le sens et la signification même nous effraient et nous sont incompréhensibles. Et c'est pourquoi nous sommes en train de le perdre.

Is the West under Siege? A mental exercise on What, How and (a bit of) Why I regularly find myself reflecting on what I am grateful about; it’s very consistent with the Thanksgiving period as well. One of the most prevalent answers that keeps coming up is that (despite its innate weaknesses) I am grateful for being born and raised in the West. And if you have read some of my previous pieces on the West, and its failure to realize its full potential, you will see I am very critical of it and its transgressions. But it’s still part of me and I am part of it. And you might ask me what is “the West” bro? Is it a direction? Is it a culture? Is it a system? Is it a nation? Well, I will probably tell you that it’s a bit of all of that, and MUCH MORE. I also regularly see and hear lately that the West is under attack. And the obvious question here is how and by whom? Who could dare attack such a well-established system of people, cultures, beliefs, economies and armies? And most importantly Why? Well, a pretty obvious answer would be the demonization and the “cancelling” (pun intended) of the very establishment; another pretty simple answer would be that Western societies are being attacked at their very core, every single day, on the streets; I was reading about the attacks on boys in France, the stabbings in Ireland, the rapes in Greece and all of them seem to have some common denominators. The most obvious one is that they were conducted by alien elements for those systems and societies. You might have noticed the interchanging use of the terms “system” and “society”; that’s because societies are systems themselves. The Merriam-Webster dictionary provides the following definition for the term “System”: it’s “a regularly interacting or interdependent group of items forming a unified whole” and even further: “an organized set of doctrines, ideas, or principles usually intended to explain the arrangement or working of a systematic whole”. A systematic framework can always be boiled down to some fairly simple mechanics that form building blocks; actions and reactions, buttons and triggers. For example, if I do you a favor, you should probably reciprocate it; in the same way, if I harm you, I should probably expect you to harm me too. Did you notice that I used the word “should”? Morality has entered the group chat; systems have morality (= moral values) at their very core and they outline rules through which the system operates. So, give me some rope here for the working hypothesis (before we use it to hang); the Western societies are systems, with deeply established values throughout history, with common traits and denominators (without cancelling their individual differences) that are being “attacked”. These attacks are taking place on a higher level (demonization of its values and foundations with constant “urge” to cancel or change them) but also on a more basic-everyday level on the streets (terror, rapes, killings, offensive behavior, violence, racism). I will try to approach and analyze the matter on a dual axis: the origins and nature of the Western Values (so we can examine WHAT is under attack) and the nature of the threat (so we can examine HOW and WHY they are being attacked). I have written similar pieces before, mainly to structure my own thoughts and try to wrap my head around this mess, but also to make sure that people have been warned; because I am getting the impression that Western people tolerate or even like the brain-dead state of our administrations and politicians. Maybe because we are brain-dead ourselves; because we seem to have no intention to educate ourselves over nuances, facts or engage in critical thinking. We cannot even grasp and respect the basics and how we became so prosperous and privileged in the first place; what led us here. But we are more than happy to raise foreign flags and go out there to beat our neighbor for something strange happening in a faraway land, while we are simply both gangr**ed by our own government, and its instruments, in our home.

Excellent article de Gaïus B Baltar - à lire et à RT ❗️ 📍Il devient de plus en plus évident pour un nombre croissant de personnes en Occident que quelque chose a terriblement mal tourné dans le projet ukrainien. Les prévisions et les projections ne se sont pas réalisées et l'Occident ne semble pas savoir quoi faire. L'économie russe n'était pas un château de cartes comme on l'avait prédit, les armes russes n'étaient pas inférieures comme on l'avait prédit, les soldats et les commandants russes n'étaient pas incompétents comme on l'avait prédit, et la technologie russe n'était pas inférieure comme on l'avait prédit. À certains égards, les Russes semblent même supérieurs aux Occidentaux. Leurs armes sont efficaces et, dans de nombreux cas, technologiquement supérieures, comme le démontrent clairement les missiles hypersoniques, les systèmes SAM et les systèmes de guerre électronique. Leur économie semble étonnamment avancée et diversifiée, et basée sur la création de richesses réelles plutôt que sur la financiarisation et l'endettement comme à l'Ouest. Leur réflexion stratégique et tactique semble également fonctionner beaucoup mieux que celle de l'Occident. Tout ce gâchis est souvent expliqué comme le résultat d'une erreur de calcul de la part des élites occidentales, qui auraient sous-estimé la Russie et surestimé l'Occident. Mais la situation est bien pire que cela. Chaque jour qui passe révèle un peu plus l'impuissance de l'Occident, et la situation devient carrément humiliante. À ce stade, le reste du monde secoue la tête ou se moque de l'Occident, de ses politiciens et de ses diplomates, sans parler de ses populations désespérées. Le dysfonctionnement de l'Occident est bien plus profond que la situation autour du projet ukrainien. On le retrouve absolument partout. L'Occident ne sait pas faire de diplomatie en général, il ne sait que conduire ses villes ou ses pays dans l'abîme, les projets de haute technologie échouent presque systématiquement, les infrastructures s'effondrent, les économies s'effondrent, et toutes les politiques publiques semblent avoir pour objectif ultime le suicide civilisationnel. Les mécanismes de contrôle de l'Occident sur le reste du monde s'effondrent également : le dollar, les sanctions, les révolutions de couleur, les interventions militaires et les menaces. Rien ne fonctionne et tout ce que fait l'Occident semble aggraver la situation. Toute personne rationnelle, lorsqu'elle entend un dirigeant, un diplomate ou un "expert" occidental s'exprimer, se pose la question suivante : "Est-ce qu'ils mentent ou sont-ils vraiment aussi incompétents et délirants ? La réponse est "les deux", mais le facteur d'incompétence est bien plus important que la plupart des gens ne peuvent l'imaginer. Pourquoi cela s'est-il produit ? La cause est bien plus profonde que la désindustrialisation de l'Occident ou les problèmes économiques en général. L'économie n'explique pas l'incroyable incompétence dont l'Occident a fait preuve avant et pendant la guerre en Ukraine. La cause de ce désastre permanent est un grave problème structurel en Occident - que la Russie semble avoir largement évité. Ce problème structurel est une condition nécessaire au système occidental actuel et a été délibérément créé. Examinons le "mécanisme" qui le sous-tend. Il s'agit malheureusement d'un long article, mais le sujet l'exige. Le capital humain et ses propriétés La structure de pouvoir idéologique actuelle de l'Occident dicte catégoriquement que certains types de personnes occupent des postes d'influence et que d'autres sont marginalisés, et ce à tous les niveaux de l'échelle sociale, des enseignants de maternelle aux professeurs d'université, en passant par les cadres d'entreprise et les dirigeants de la société elle-même. Ce phénomène n'a cessé de progresser au cours des cinq dernières décennies et a débouché sur un problème structurel majeur pour l'Occident. 🔽

2. Il s'agit de la dégradation et de la mauvaise répartition, évidentes et massives, du capital humain. Le capital humain peut être décrit comme la qualité de la main-d'œuvre d'une entreprise ou d'une nation ou, plus précisément, comme le degré de compétence du groupe d'employés - leur niveau de formation, la rapidité avec laquelle ils peuvent être formés, leur niveau général d'éducation et la manière dont ils prennent des décisions. Pour comprendre ce que signifie réellement la compétence, il convient de mieux la définir. La compétence peut être décrite comme spécifique ou générale. Cette distinction est extrêmement importante et doit être comprise par toute personne essayant de gérer le capital humain à petite ou grande échelle. La compétence spécifique est la capacité à effectuer un type de travail particulier. Il peut s'agir de menuiserie, de codage, de chimie, de médecine, de pilotage d'un avion de ligne, etc. Certains de ces types d'emplois peuvent nécessiter beaucoup de compétences, de formation et d'intelligence, mais leur point commun est que leur champ d'application est limité et clairement défini. Ils existent à l'intérieur de frontières claires, séparées de la complexité et de l'imprécision du monde en général. Chaque type de travail requiert certaines compétences innées chez l'individu, ainsi que divers degrés de formation. Bien entendu, les personnes diffèrent grandement dans leur niveau de compétence spécifique dans chaque domaine. La compétence générale ou de haut niveau est la capacité à effectuer un travail qui dépasse des limites clairement définies. Le sujet de ces types de travail existe dans un "univers variable" complexe et peut être extrêmement vague et confus. Ils requièrent une capacité d'adaptation et de transfert de compétences entre différents types de travaux. Cela s'applique également lorsque l'expertise dans un domaine est appliquée à un domaine complètement différent - comme l'application de la psychologie à l'économie ou de l'astrophysique à la science du climat. Les cadres d'entreprise, tous les types de planificateurs et de gestionnaires, les développeurs de produits, les inventeurs, les consultants et analystes de haut niveau, les chefs et planificateurs militaires, les diplomates, les juges, les dirigeants politiques, les scientifiques et théoriciens de haut niveau, pour n'en citer que quelques-uns, sont des exemples de postes qui requièrent des compétences générales ou de haut niveau. Les types d'emplois exigeant des compétences spécifiques et ceux exigeant des compétences générales ne sont pas deux choses distinctes. On peut dire que les types d'emplois ou "emplois" vont d'une spécificité presque totale à une généralité presque totale. Presque tous les types de travail comportent des éléments des deux, mais dans des proportions différentes. Pour illustrer mon propos, je prendrai l'exemple d'une entreprise que je connais personnellement. Il s'agit d'un éditeur de logiciels ayant plusieurs propriétaires, dont la plupart travaillent en interne. L'un des propriétaires est un spécialiste des bases de données extrêmement compétent. Mais lorsqu'il participe à la prise de décisions pour l'ensemble de l'entreprise, il devient un véritable problème. La structure de gestion de l'entreprise a dû être "modifiée" pour le neutraliser dans ce rôle, ainsi que dans plusieurs autres. Il a une compétence spécifique exceptionnelle, mais une compétence globale très faible. Il ne peut donc pas "transférer" sa compétence spécifique (bases de données) à la compétence d'avoir une vision pour l'avenir de l'entreprise. Il ne peut tout simplement pas opérer de manière objective ou rationnelle en dehors de son activité principale. Qu'est-ce qui fait que cet employé est si peu compétent en général - ou, plus précisément, qu'est-ce que la compétence générale ? La compétence générale requiert trois conditions : a) une intelligence générale élevée, b) la capacité d'être objectif, même dans des situations où 🔽

3. le résultat de vos conclusions peut ne pas vous plaire, et c) la capacité de parvenir à des conclusions sans être influencé par d'autres (c'est-à-dire la pensée indépendante). Les deux dernières conditions résultent directement de la manière dont le cerveau humain interagit avec l'environnement. Le mécanisme sous-jacent est trop compliqué pour être décrit ici, mais en termes simples, on peut dire que les humains varient dans leur relation avec la réalité, allant de l'émotionnel-extérieur/subjectif à l'introspectif/objectif. Cette variable, comme tous les traits évolutifs, y compris le QI, est normalement distribuée. Avec des implications plutôt troublantes, difficiles à comprendre pour certaines personnes. Examinons d'abord le QI, ou intelligence générale. Pour être capable de faire face à un travail compliqué ou de suivre un vrai programme universitaire, il faut un QI d'environ 125 points. Seuls 5 % environ de la population occidentale ont ce QI ou un QI supérieur. Cela signifie que le réservoir de personnes ayant un potentiel de compétences de haut niveau est très restreint au départ. Même si nous utilisons un QI de 115, suffisant pour la plupart des travaux semi-compliqués, le groupe potentiel n'atteint que 16 % de la population. Examinons maintenant les autres variables, à savoir l'objectivité et l'indépendance d'esprit. Ces deux variables sont liées et nous les traiterons, par commodité, comme la même variable ou le même trait, même si ce n'est pas le cas. Elles sont distribuées normalement, comme le QI, la plupart se situant au milieu et moins aux extrêmes, dans les deux sens. D'un côté de la distribution, on trouve des personnes qui, pour dire les choses crûment, sont incapables de réfléchir objectivement à toute question susceptible d'interagir avec leurs opinions personnelles sur quoi que ce soit. Ils peuvent être compétents dans un domaine limité qui est "neutre" pour eux (comme les bases de données), mais n'impliquent rien d'autre. Ils ne peuvent qu'entraîner une entreprise dans un environnement concurrentiel vers le bas, vers la faillite. Ils ne peuvent pas diriger une ville, un pays, une campagne militaire, une économie ou quoi que ce soit d'autre qui nécessite une compétence générale, sauf vers le bas, quelle que soit leur intelligence. Ils sont clairement inadaptés aux emplois de haut niveau et de compétence générale. Alors, quelle proportion de la population est suffisamment objective et indépendante de pensée pour être apte à occuper ces emplois ? Il est difficile de le déterminer, mais il est clair que nous parlons d'environ 50 % de la population au maximum. En réalité, c'est beaucoup moins, mais soyons généreux et disons qu'il s'agit de 30 %. Qu'est-ce que cela signifie ? Le QI et l'objectivité/la pensée indépendante sont quelque peu corrélés, mais supposons qu'ils ne le soient pas. Supposons que nous ayons un groupe de personnes potentiellement objectives et rationnelles qui représentent 30 % et un groupe de personnes ayant un QI de 125 qui représentent 5 %. Cela signifie que le groupe de personnes possédant des compétences générales de haut niveau représente 5 % de 30 %, soit 1,5 % de la population. Si nous sommes vraiment généreux et que nous supposons que 50 % de la population est objective et rationnelle et qu'un QI de 115 est suffisant pour ces emplois, alors nous avons 16 % de 50 %, ce qui représente un groupe de 8 % de la population. On ne saurait trop insister sur l'importance de ce point. Ce groupe, que nous le définissions comme 1,5 % ou 8 % de la population, est extrêmement précieux. Il s'agit essentiellement du seul groupe de la société capable d'évaluer de manière fiable des situations complexes et de prendre des décisions rationnelles. Sans elle, la société technologique moderne ne peut tout simplement pas être construite ou maintenue, et encore moins progresser. Permettez-moi de reformuler : si nous n'identifions pas et n'utilisons pas ce groupe, nous ne pouvons que conduire nos 🔽

4. sociétés compliquées vers le bas, vers la faillite. La purge occidentale des compétences La société occidentale moderne est, en termes de gouvernance, idéologiquement motivée et contrôlée. Elle est poussée dans une direction idéologique très clairement définie, sous la houlette de l'Union européenne et de l'actuelle administration américaine. Cette idéologie n'est pas le sujet de cet article, mais peut être observée partout par tout penseur rationnel et indépendant. Pour les personnes non informées et curieuses, un bon point de départ est le site web de l'organe de décision de l'UE, le Forum économique mondial. Pour atteindre ces objectifs idéologiques en Occident, deux choses doivent se produire : a) les bonnes personnes doivent être placées au pouvoir à tous les niveaux de la société et b) tout élément perturbateur doit être éliminé ou supprimé. Étant donné que tous les objectifs idéologiques tendent à être plus ou moins en conflit avec la réalité, il n'y a pas de groupe plus perturbateur pour eux que celui qui agit de manière objective et indépendante. Les personnes appartenant à ce dernier groupe ne peuvent tout simplement pas être autorisées à accéder à des postes de pouvoir. Et s'ils y parviennent, ils doivent être tenus en laisse et/ou contraints de respecter la ligne de conduite. Le groupe objectif/rationnel/compétence générale, qu'il représente 1,5 % ou 8 % de la population, devient ainsi un problème plutôt qu'une ressource. C'est exactement la situation de l'Occident aujourd'hui. Nombreux sont ceux qui ont remarqué que la méritocratie a été systématiquement abandonnée en Occident et que la relation entre la compétence et la récompense a été rompue dans de vastes secteurs de l'économie - et presque totalement au sein du gouvernement. Ce que peu de gens semblent réaliser, c'est que ce phénomène est une nécessité pour atteindre les objectifs idéologiques de l'Occident. Les compétences de haut niveau ne peuvent pas être encouragées parce qu'elles constituent une menace. Elle ne peut donc pas être récompensée. Pour illustrer cela, examinons ce qui se passe lorsqu'un membre des 1,5 % est autorisé à acquérir un pouvoir important. Elon Musk est un homme intelligent, avec un QI de 150 ou plus. Il est également très objectif et réaliste dans ses évaluations, et c'est un penseur indépendant. Le fait qu'il possède et dirige Twitter/X constitue un problème majeur pour les objectifs idéologiques occidentaux. La liberté d'expression est une menace évidente pour toute idéologie, et pour remuer le couteau dans la plaie, Musk a rabaissé les gardiens de l'idéologie de Twitter en se moquant d'eux, puis en les licenciant tous et en ne gardant que les plus compétents. Ce geste ne peut rester sans conséquences et nous pouvons déjà voir la réponse. L'UE prévoit de recourir à la force pour mettre fin à cet affront à l'idéologie et pourrait même bloquer Twitter en Europe. Le champion de l'idéologie (et soupçonné d'être un robot-lézard) Mark Zuckerberg a même été chargé de préparer une copie purement idéologique de Twitter en guise de réponse - mais il semble avoir échoué. Nous attendons avec impatience d'autres réactions, qui pourraient aller de la guerre juridique à des actions plus "directes". Et qui seront très probablement dirigées contre Musk personnellement. Remodeler l'éducation occidentale Comme nous l'avons vu plus haut, deux choses doivent se produire pour que les objectifs idéologiques deviennent réalité : les bonnes personnes doivent être promues, et les mauvaises doivent être supprimées. Le processus de promotion/suppression est devenu l'objectif principal du système éducatif occidental, de la maternelle à l'université. Si nous regardons ce que le système éducatif a fait, le phénomène devient extrêmement évident. Voici quelques exemples : L'évaluation des compétences est systématiquement dévalorisée afin d'éviter de comparer le compétent à l'incompétent. Les examens sont abandonnés au profit de "projets" constants 🔽

5. et les étudiants travaillent en groupe pour que les incompétents puissent se cacher. Les écoles évitent autant que possible de tester directement les individus - et donc de les comparer aux autres. Les personnes compétentes ne doivent pas être encouragées et, si possible, elles ne doivent pas se rendre compte qu'elles sont au-dessus des autres. Les universités basent de plus en plus leurs admissions sur des critères autres que la compétence, y compris des quotas basés sur l'appartenance à une minorité ethnique. La méthode de sélection la plus insidieuse est l'"essai personnel" que les candidats doivent soumettre et qui est parfois plus important que les notes. Plus les candidats font preuve de virtuosité dans leur essai, plus ils ont de chances d'être admis. Sur la base de cet essai, les universités peuvent sélectionner les candidats les plus purs d'un point de vue idéologique - ce qui est d'ailleurs le seul but de l'exigence d'un essai. Presque tous les sujets académiques sont transformés d'objectifs en subjectifs afin de venir en aide à l'étudiant irrationnellement incompétent. Cette observation vaut même pour des matières difficiles comme les mathématiques, où aujourd'hui 2+2 n'est pas nécessairement égal à 4. Même l'intelligence semble désormais être subjective, et les stupides peuvent être tout aussi intelligents que les intelligents - ce n'est qu'une question de perspective, d'outils de mesure appropriés et d'inventions idiotes telles que l'"intelligence émotionnelle". Presque toutes les matières ont été rendues plus faciles qu'auparavant pour aider les étudiants incompétents, et même des domaines cruciaux comme la médecine diplôment aujourd'hui des personnes totalement incompétentes et désemparées, et ce à grande échelle. L'abaissement systématique des normes a également pour avantage de créer une désaffection à l'égard des étudiants intelligents et rationnels. Un étudiant intelligent obtient des résultats de plus en plus élevés par rapport aux autres à mesure que la matière devient plus difficile. Si le sujet est facile ou inintéressant, il sombrera dans la médiocrité - ce qui est en partie l'objectif de l'abaissement des normes. Les disciplines qui pourraient constituer une menace pour l'irrationalité de l'idéologie ont été massivement minées et corrompues. Ce phénomène s'applique à de nombreux domaines, mais surtout à la psychologie et à l'histoire, qui, dans leur forme correcte, constitueraient une menace massive pour les objectifs idéologiques de l'Occident. La psychologie a été transformée en une abomination presque méconnaissable, et l'histoire est devenue en grande partie un simple mensonge de nos jours. De fausses disciplines ont été inventées de toutes pièces pour former des idéologues purs, sans besoin de compétence, d'intelligence ou de lien avec la réalité. On retrouve ces disciplines dans les listes des "diplômes universitaires les plus inutiles" sur Internet. Il s'agit d'un malentendu. Ces diplômes ne sont pas du tout inutiles - ils élèvent les idéologiquement purs dans la société en leur accordant une "certification" universitaire. Cette certification justifie l'octroi de postes importants dans la société. La société occidentale en général a abandonné la rationalité et l'a remplacée par le subjectivisme (officiellement désigné sous le nom de "postmodernisme"). L'objectif n'est pas seulement d'éduquer et de faire progresser les idéologiquement purs, mais d'utiliser le subjectivisme comme instrument d'oppression contre le groupe 1.5/8 et la partie rationnelle de la population en dehors de ce groupe. La meilleure façon de supprimer une personne rationnelle est de la soumettre à une existence d'irrationalité totale et constante. En substance, il s'agit d'un éclairage au gaz à l'échelle de la civilisation, dirigé contre le groupe rationnel dangereux. Pendant que le groupe rationnel dangereux est réprimé et miné, les "leaders de demain" idéologiquement purs sont endoctrinés au lieu d'être éduqués 🔽

La crise de la concurrence peut s'expliquer par l'exemple suivant : supposons que trois entreprises détiennent une part de marché cumulée de 100 % dans un secteur donné. Il n'y a pas de réelle concurrence entre elles et tout le monde peut se détendre car les clients ne peuvent pas aller ailleurs. Ces entreprises peuvent se permettre une incompétence absolue à tous les niveaux, y compris au niveau de la direction. Elles n'ont pas à se préoccuper d'efficacité, de sécurité, de productivité ou de coûts, sauf sur leurs sites web et dans leurs rapports annuels. Mais si un concurrent avec des employés compétents parvient à s'infiltrer dans ce secteur, les trois entreprises se heurtent à un mur. Il y aura une crise énorme et, très probablement, une ou plusieurs d'entre elles feront faillite. C'est exactement ce qui se passe aujourd'hui dans les économies occidentales. Le monopole et l'oligopole sont la règle, et l'objectif principal de la plupart des grandes entreprises occidentales est d'empêcher quiconque d'infiltrer leur secteur - généralement en corrompant les régulateurs ou en achetant la concurrence. C'est une nécessité, car un très grand nombre d'entreprises occidentales sont aujourd'hui dirigées par des cadres incompétents et comptent dans leurs rangs des personnes incompétentes, en particulier aux 🔽

Elle est dépassée par les Chinois, les Russes, les Indiens et tous les autres. Même les dirigeants africains sont désormais plus compétents que les dirigeants occidentaux. Ils ont toujours pris des décisions plus favorables à leurs peuples que les dirigeants occidentaux, du moins au cours des dernières années. La crise de la complexité - Plus haut dans cet article, j'ai dit que le groupe 1.5/8 est extrêmement précieux et que sans lui, les sociétés modernes compliquées ne peuvent pas être gérées. En Occident, ce groupe a été marginalisé avec succès dans une large mesure et une bonne partie d'entre eux ne se donne même plus la peine de suivre une formation universitaire. La reconfiguration du système éducatif et la rupture entre la compétence et la récompense sur le marché du travail ont fondamentalement changé le processus de prise de décision qui sous-tend le choix de l'enseignement universitaire. Cette situation a déjà provoqué une crise majeure dans les sociétés occidentales, en particulier aux États-Unis. La "maintenance" des aspects complexes de la société américaine nécessite un grand nombre d'ingénieurs et de personnes titulaires de diplômes connexes. Cette maintenance est aujourd'hui défaillante et repose en grande partie sur des ingénieurs étrangers formés dans les universités américaines. Le phénomène s'aggravera progressivement et nous atteindrons bientôt un point où les systèmes complexes qui sous-tendent la société ne pourront plus être maintenus. Cela nécessitera une sorte de "réinitialisation" vers une société moins complexe, avec moins de prospérité bien sûr. Il existe bien d'autres crises que les quatre décrites ci-dessus, mais je ne voudrais pas passer pour un pessimiste en les énumérant. La Russie et l'avenir Qu'en est-il de la Russie ? 🇺🇸PRESIDENTS DAY: Did Ronald Reagan's amnesty of 1986/87 ruin California and transform the country from Red to Blue; White to brown? So goes the conventional wisdom from the Dissident Right. But is it true? Let's take a look: 1⃣ First, the population of the US in 1986 was 240 million, and amnesty was granted to about 2.7 million--or 1.1%--which is roughly the same number of people as came into the country through open borders in one year under Joe Biden & Alejandro Mayorkas. About 1 million illegals were granted amnesty in California, out of a statewide population of 24.5 million--or about 3.7%. Not nothing, but not a massive leap, either. For perspective, about 450,000 illegals in Texas received the amnesty out of a statewide population of 15.8 million--or about 2.8%. Texas is still going Red all these years later (although the margins of victory seem to be waning). But nobody says the amnesty turned Texas Blue. 2⃣ Second, California didn't turn Red initially. In 1988, George Bush & the GOP won California. In 1994, Prop 187--the citizen referedum to deny government services to illegals--won handily and helped sweep Republican Pete Wilson into the governor's office. However, in 1992 California did go for the Democrat Bill Clinton--but on a plurality of the vote, not an absolute majority. That was the year H. Ross Perot played spoiler to George Bush's re-election bid. California likely would have gone to Bush in 1992 otherwise. 3⃣ Third, the demographic transformation of California was well underway before Reagan won the Presidency, and it continued unabated after he left. The White European population of America was 79.5% in 1981 when Reagan took office. It was about 76.5% when he left office in 1989. What seems clear is that short of strong measures to stop and/or reverse the demographic transformation, California was destined to turn Blue sooner or later (and this is, in fact, the Democrat strategy everywhere: dump non-Whites everywhere it can to tranform the electorate into voting Dem). Obviously, the amnesty accelerated the timeline, but in and of itself didn't cause the paradigm shift. Actual Causes: The initial cause was the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965 which opened America to all nations of the world, particularly Mexico and other Central American countries in close proximity. This began the decline of the White demographic of the country in general, and California in particular. Had Prop 187 not been overturned by an activist ✡️ judge, California might well have remained Red and even reversed its demographic transformation. Had congress and the federal government upheld its end of the bargain with respect to the '86 amnesty, the demographic transformation would have been slowed, and maybe even stopped or reversed. Was any of that Reagan's fault? No. Was it Reagan's fault that 22-65 million illegals would take up permanent residence in the US over the next 35 years? No. Congress was supposed to stop that after the amnesty. Was it Reagan's fault that 35 million legal immigrants were allowed in over those same 35 years? No. Also not Reagan's fault. Conclusion: It doesn't look like the amnesty of 1986 is what ruined California or transformed the country. It was an accelerant to be sure, but had it occured in isolation--as a one-time event--it wouldn't have been catastrophic and the country probably could have recovered just fine. However, that's not what happened, so Reagan--being the first mover in an ongoing problem--takes a large brunt of the blame with his amnesty. Discussion: That's not to say Reagan was guiltless, though. Far from it. Even though his amnesty wasn't as damaging as is first thought, he inflicted heavy damage to our demographics in a much more insidious and far-reaching way. That led to a lost decade – the EU’s GDP in 2018, 2019 and 2020 were lower than it was in 2008. Britain would not have been bankrupted and could have maintained a global investment position akin to that of the US. Europe would be a far more powerful pole in world affairs today. They would be equal to the US or even more powerful than the US, greatly enhancing the overall position of Western civilisation vis a vis the Chinese, Russian and Islamic spheres.
