Speaker 9: Okay. As to all how all this happened, it's becoming increasingly apparent that this was a terrorist attack. President Bush as much as said so about an hour ago, what with, two planes in very short order crashing into the World Trade Center, both towers, and, the second, South Tower has now collapsed. In addition, a plane has apparently crashed near the Pentagon. There have been threats.
Obviously, all of these threats are credible today. White House was evacuated so to the treasury, the capital. And now we have a report that there has been an explosion near the US Supreme Court in Washington, that according to Fox News. Ten ten, Wayne's reporter Carol DeOria on Long Island, and I don't imagine there's much traffic moving from here to Manhattan this morning.

It's a peaceful, sunny day, and yet people are absolutely critched by this. I just came over the Atlantic Beach Bridge, which is right on the Napa County,

Also, Port Authority has closed down the Lincoln And Holland Tunnels and the George Washington Bridge.

Thermite is so hot that it'll just cut through steel, through structural steel, for example, like a knife through butter. The products are molten iron and aluminum oxide which goes off primarily as a dust. You know those enormous dust clouds? You can imagine when you assemble these chemicals on a large scale. Molten metal pools under both towers after they collapsed and Building 7.
Now Building 7 wasn't even hit by a a jet.

Going up in a twin engine airplane, he found that the success rate for attempted cell phone calls decayed to zero by the time he reached 7,000 feet. Successful cell phone calls from airliners flying at 30,000 feet, he concluded, would have been flat out impossible.

These are pilots who already have thousands of hours and can control large transport category aircraft at high and low speeds, not to mention one seventy two at 65 knots, unlike the quote hijacker pilots. Speaker 0: First of all, the air airplane can't fly above it 560 miles an hour. It can't fly more than three sixty, which is its velocity max operating. Maybe could fly maybe thirty, forty miles an hour faster than that, but at VMO, the clacker comes on. The clacker is an FAA required safety device, which clacks loud. And it clacks at a rate in a cycle that irritates the pilot so that he can't ignore it.
He has to has to slow down, you know. Now, there's no possibility a hijacker first time in the airplane is not only going to, you know, fly it at 390 miles, 400 miles, but do it with that clacker. Right. You know, and descend and hit that thing and it can't happen, you know.
Speaker 1: This is what happens when you exceed such maximum operating limits set by the manufacturer. Granted, there is a safety margin built into the maximum operating limits, but there a reason limits are assigned to aircraft as you can see here. Landing speeds are about five times less than the speeds reported on 09:11 at the World Trade Center. The interviewed pilots were able to impact the World Trade Center as done on 09:11, on first attempt, at landing speed. It's a whole different animal when attempting to do the same thing at more than a 50 knots over maximum operating speed for the type aircraft.
The slightest pressure, doesn't even have to be an actual movement, on steering wheel or what we call yoke, will produce very large changes in aircraft direction or even structural failure.
