The speaker states that the situation in Florida is tragic and they are trying to ascertain the exact number of victims with the help of their FEMA advisor. There is a discrepancy between FEMA's numbers and those used by locals. The speaker describes the photographs as stunning and notes the wide area affected. The government has provided everything they have and was on the ground ahead of time, working hard. They have already planned a significant amount of resources, even though they hadn't been asked for them yet.

LFA TV's Jeremy Harrell reports that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris do not care about the southeastern US flood disaster, claiming Biden stated there are no more resources available for flood victims while billions go to Ukraine and Israel. Harrell cites FEMA truckers reporting the agency isn't sending aid to affected areas, despite being prepared for Hurricane Helene. He connects this lack of aid with an upcoming port strike, blaming Democrats like Pete Buttigieg, Biden, and Harris. Separately, an individual claims "we've given them all of the everything that we have" and "preplanned a significant amount of it even though they didn't ask for it yet." When asked why Biden and Harris weren't commanding this weekend, Biden stated he was on the phone for at least 2 hours each day.

Speaker 0: Folks, Jeremy Harrell, LFA TV here. Look, quick update on the disaster in our southeast region right now. Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, that entire region affected by the floods, the hurricane, the disasters, the complete wiping out of towns. Well, earlier today, I reported on my show Live From America that both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris really do not care about what's going on down there, and that's not coming from me. Joe Biden says that there are no more resources to send to the flood victims. No more resources. We're sending 1,000,000,000 and 1,000,000,000 of dollars to Ukraine and Israel and every other place in the world, but no more resources to send to fellow Americans who pay taxes and who live right here on our own soil. We even heard him later on say that they're doing all they can do. He was on the phone for 2 hours this weekend for crying out loud. Now we're we're figuring out that FEMA truckers reporting that the agency is not sending any aid to the disaster areas. This is absolutely huge, and I'm reading it right here. Logistics companies and truckers registered with FEMA are always on the frontline of disasters delivering food, water, and other aid to impacted communities. Brokers put thousands of truckers on notice to be ready when hurricane Helene hit. But as of September 30th, FEMA isn't posting any available loads according to multiple brokers and truckers. These truckers and these companies are saying, we're not getting any word. We're not even getting any kind of logistics or any kind of plans or any scheduling to deliver any disaster relief. And this coming on the heels of Joe Biden saying there's no more resources to give. We're tapped out. I wonder why. Couple that together with this port strike that's gonna happen at 12:0:1 tonight or I should say AM tomorrow morning, and we're in for a world of hurt. But this is what happens when you have, like, people like secretary of transportation Pete Buttigieg when you have residents of the United States like Joe Biden and fake non democratically elected vice presidential vice presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, Kamala Harris. Everything the Democrats touched turned to you know what. So there there you go, folks. The the truckers are now saying, we're not getting any logistics, any scheduling, any orders, anything. It looks like we're gonna have to come together as the American people and help everybody out because our federal government is too busy invading America and paying for all of that to happen. Really despicable and really disgusting. Folks, follow us LFA TV on Rumble at rumble.com/lfatv and follow us on x@lfatvus. Buckle up, folks. Speaker 1: This is scratching. Matter of fact, we're trying to get the exact number. My FEMA adviser's on the ground in Florida right now. Speaker 2: Are there any more reports that the federal government could be giving them? Speaker 1: No. We've given them we have preplanned a significant amount of it even though they didn't ask for it yet. Had hadn't asked for it yet. Speaker 2: On the hurricane, mister president, why weren't you and vice president Harris, chairman Washington, commanding this this weekend? Speaker 1: I was commanded. I was on the phone for at least 2 hours yesterday and the day before as well. I commanded to call the telephone to call my security team. Speaker 2: Is it not important for the country to see? Hey, everyone. Thank you very much for watching. The speakers express distress over the devastating impact of recent flooding on their community, focusing on the plight of Meghan and Todd, owners of Atomic Furnishings, who lost their store, house, and car. Despite being featured on a Magnolia show and having a well-known business, they were denied FEMA assistance, car insurance, home insurance, and business insurance. The speakers highlight the inadequacy of government and insurance support, contrasting it with the help received from regular people through a GoFundMe campaign. They emphasize the widespread confusion and frustration with the FEMA application process, even for competent individuals like Meghan. The speakers urge viewers not to politicize the situation but to remember and support the affected community, including the artisans and employees displaced by the disaster. They stress the importance of collective effort in rebuilding the city.

Speaker 0: Alright. So I woke up feeling really good. We had gotten some messages from people that were positive, saying that they had gotten some FEMA support, some small business support. And then I just got hit with one of the hardest stories I've heard so far, and it's from someone that I care so much about. Megan and Todd, they own Atomic Furnishings, which is this really famous furniture store with dozens of different vendors, maybe 100 of different vendors. They were in my Joanna Gaines show, my Magnolia show 2 years ago. They're just wonderful. Speaker 1: So nice. Speaker 0: Half of our furnishing pieces are from them. Todd made our dining room table. Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 0: Just incredible humans. Speaker 1: Atomic is gone. They were on the Swannanoa River, and their store is completely washed away and everything in it. Speaker 0: Their house, Burnsville. Their car, I think she said was on top of a Lowe's at some at this point. Like, I don't know the I don't know if I've heard a story that is worse than theirs, and they got rejected, fact, rejected from FEMA for even the $750 check. They got rejected from car insurance, from home insurance, from business insurance. Rejected. So they have 100 of 1,000 of dollars of merchandise, most of which Meghan and Todd made themselves, and it's gone. Speaker 1: And they, they had tried to apply for flood insurance before this. They got rejected and rejected and rejected. Showed all that paperwork to FEMA. FEMA said, whoops. Sorry. Nothing we could do for you. Speaker 0: I I'm I'm so grateful to the people that have these wonderful FEMA stories. I've I've heard them personally, so I know they're accurate. But that is not the case for everyone. And I don't know how to help Meghan and Todd. The only thing that has helped so far, they have a GoFundMe. So that means regular people have helped them more than all of the people that are supposed to help them. Speaker 1: More than any government agency. Speaker 0: Government agencies, insurance, landlord, anything. No help. No. Speaker 1: Just regular people helping them out. And they they're in a really rough spot. I mean, their business is the assets that they made by hand themselves. And they Speaker 0: have all gone. And, I mean, I can't count how many artisans sell at Atomic. All of those people are out of work. Speaker 1: That's right. Speaker 0: Their employees are out of work. Like, you wanna know why we're getting so upset? It isn't for likes. It isn't to to get messages from the news. It is that these people are reaching out to us. Speaker 1: Because they have no idea what to do. Do you know? They're they went through the FEMA process, got rejected. SBA got rejected. They're just looking for anything. I mean, you listen to the local radio. I said this last time. People are just calling in frantic. Like, I I've lost everything. I don't know how to get FEMA assistance. You know, don't take my word for it. Go to 99.9 Kiss Country and just listen to the people calling in. It is absolutely insane. Speaker 0: And the the number one consensus because everybody's story is different. The number one consensus is confusion. And mass confusion. Megan said, she runs one of the biggest small businesses in Nashville, and she still had a hard time filling out those forms online. She is a very competent, very smart Very smart. Woman, and she had a hard time filling that stuff out and still got rejected. I'm really I just cannot imagine how we got a check for $750. Speaker 1: No idea. Speaker 0: And she lost everything. Speaker 1: They they found a 7 year old in her backyard of her house. Okay? That's how much flooding occurred at her property, and she did not get anything from the federal government. I mean, I I don't even know what to say. Like Speaker 0: I think people are going so quick to make this political, to blame the current administration or the past administration. You guys, people here, we are not divided like that. We are not arguing about politics anymore. We are just helping each other. And that's all we are asking from the outside world is just don't forget us. Don't forget Meghan and Todd. Don't forget the people that have decided we're gonna stay. We're gonna dig our heels in, and we're gonna bring the city back. We need you to do that with us. I I get that this is, like, 2 weeks away from an election, but, like, we don't care. We don't we don't wanna talk about that. Speaker 1: And it might be very far removed from anyone watching, but it's it's right next to us. Like, it's right down the road. Speaker 0: These are our friends. This is, like, family members. These are neighbors. I I heard of one story from a friend that found her neighbors, found them. Like, this is you know, I I think people keep saying this is so much worse. This is so like, Megan and Todd said, when they showed all the videos of Atomic, it was completely destroyed. They showed the videos of Atomic, and people said, how can we help come and, like, sort through everything? Nothing to sort. There's not like, the videos are not doing it justice. There is nothing.

I'm deeply connected to Western North Carolina, particularly Old Fort Elementary School, which is undergoing restoration thanks to Bell Ford. The area is still recovering from Hurricane Helene, two months later, with debris scattered everywhere and homes damaged. Our local officials claim there’s no funding to help, but I found that $5 million is allocated for security at an immigrant center in Greensboro, part of a larger $22 million budget. I urge our elected officials to redirect these funds to support communities like Old Fort instead. We need to prioritize helping residents rebuild their lives and restore their neighborhoods. Let’s focus on those who truly need assistance and ensure our tax dollars are spent wisely.

Speaker 0: For any of y'all that are tired of hearing about Western North Carolina, I can't shut up because this is my home. This is Old Ford Elementary School. Looks alright from the outside till you see the restoration truck. And thank you, Bell Ford, for helping us save that elementary school. And then you see the house back here. And if I lift my camera up, you can see the water line on that house, and that's why there's no glass in those windows. And then you can see these neighbors here trying to save this brick house. And you can see right here behind that house, the trailer had washed up and there it sits. And you look on down the street and you see all the debris and y'all, this is November 25, 2024. We are right at 2 months after hurricane Helene, and it still looks like a 3rd world war zone because the debris's got to get picked up, we got to have contractors and to make all that happen you need money. And so I did some looking because I keep hearing from our elected officials that there's just no money for this and they're doing the best they can. Well, if the best that you can do is this, then I respectfully request as a taxpayer that you do better. And so I did some math looking up as as a realtor, I'm very good with math. And I looked it up. And right now in North Carolina, there is an influx center in Greensboro. That's where they put the illegal immigrants for housing, I guess. And there is a grant just for security, y'all, just for security at the immigrant center in Greensboro and they're outlay for 20 and 24 $5,000,000, $10,000 against the projected outlay of $22,000,000. So I would respectfully request that every one of you bureaucrats and elected officials in DC and in North Carolina and wherever you have a say in it. Take the dollars away from security for that center and give it to the taxpayers of North Carolina to help every town like Old Fort come back and help these areas come back without running people off. They don't wanna leave their communities. Let our neighbors live where they wanna live. Bring back the liberty. Bring back the freedom. And for heaven's sake, stop wasting the money when it should be spent on those who put it in the kitty to start with.

I'm like, oh, I get to stay here for a little while. So that was nice. And then we did hugs hugs with the FEMA guys and Gordon who helped me get in here. And then, the dogs somehow knew that this was where we were gonna be for a minute and and had a had a band of a time. And I just, like, sat in here and was just like, yeah. I'm okay. I'm okay for a minute. It's very it's just very oh, it's a great relief.

WHAT IS THIS?!? 80 temporary homes have been just sitting behind a guarded fence meant for Western North Carolina Hurricane Helene victims BUT FEMA ONLY GAVE 2 OUT in Avery county There’s still videos of Americans crying while freezing in tents right now https://t.co/neU0rySXcP

FEMA trailers, nearly 80 of them, have been sitting unused in Hickory, North Carolina, since Thanksgiving, despite the urgent need from families affected by Hurricane Helene. A FEMA spokesperson stated that 140 households have received temporary units, with 49 trailers being installed and 18 more on the way. However, logistical challenges, including county permitting and weather delays, have slowed the process. In Avery County, only 2 out of 10 families in need have received trailers. County officials are actively seeking suitable locations for more trailers, but the mountainous terrain complicates logistics. FEMA acknowledges that not all impacted households require trailers, as some are staying with family or in rentals. Nonetheless, many trailers remain idle in Hickory, while families continue to wait for assistance.

Speaker 0: On the armed guards and through the chain link fence. Taxes are hard at work. And you'll see what looks like a simple solution. I wonder why they're sitting here and, with the family that needs it. Almost 80 FEMA trailers shipped in from Alabama and Maryland that Aden Lingerfeld, who works nearby, says haven't budged in months. They came in. They've been sitting since. He's far from the only one who shared those words. A WCNC Charlotte viewer emailed me a picture of these trailers and said they've been here since Thanksgiving. She wondered when the federal government was going to deliver them to the people of Western North Carolina. So we came up to Hickory. And during our visit, we ran into a FEMA spokesperson who told us the agency is moving trailers out of here all the time. The federal agency says it's placed 140 households in temporary units like these, has 49 trailers in Helene impacted counties that are in the process of being installed, and has active work orders for another 18 trailers that will eventually be delivered to a combination of private and commercial sites. But it's not as seamless as the public would hope. County permitting requirements and weather delays have slowed down the process. Speaker 1: We got to get the victim in the home. And, logistically, it it has been tough. The weather has not cooperated at all, but that can't be an excuse. Speaker 0: Philip Barrier says 10 families in Avery County need trailers. And so far, FEMA has only delivered 2. Speaker 1: And I hear about them being deployed every day. They're just not deployed to Avery County. Speaker 0: The county manager says as those families remain temporarily housed in hotels, FEMA has spent 2 weeks looking at a possible site where the agency could place several trailers. Finding the right location that's accessible continues to prove challenging. FEMA tells us it has partnered with 18 commercial parks and is working with 15 others. Speaker 1: Logistically, this is a very hard place to come in place, a temporary shelter for water and sewer purposes and the layout of the land. We're in the mountains. We're not flat. Speaker 0: Barrier says he and county leaders are doing all they can on their end. They need the federal government to do more. Speaker 1: We cannot accept this. This has been way too slow. We have got to do better. Speaker 0: FEMA says not every household impacted by Helene will need a trailer in the end. Some are living with family members. Others are housed in apartments or short term rentals. The agency has stacked up at this staging area just to be overprepared. For a lot of people who could use them up there. Have hopefully, they get up there too. But it's clear. Some of these trailers are needed today. Instead, they're sitting in a parking lot in Hickory.

I was shocked to learn from the NC State Treasurer's office that not a single dollar of the $100 million allocated for local governments affected by Hurricane Helene has been distributed. Kudos to WRAL for uncovering this situation; their reporting has been exceptional, especially in investigating the delays in FEMA's response for temporary housing. It's crucial to emphasize that this issue lies with the state, which should have acted more swiftly to release these funds. It's unbelievable that this money is still sitting untouched in the Treasury.

@matt_vanswol - Matt Van Swol

🚨#BREAKING: In a SHOCKING admission, the NC State Treasurer's office has confirmed that out of the $100 MILLION set aside to support local Western North Carolina governments impacted by Hurricane Helene... ... a grand total of $0 has been given out to date Read that again. https://t.co/lzqcEsFDp4

@matt_vanswol - Matt Van Swol

Well done to @WRAL for tracking this down. This is insane. https://t.co/OElBFb6bOd

@matt_vanswol - Matt Van Swol

@WRAL Honestly, @WRAL has been pretty incredible with their reporting. They were the ones on an absolutely TEAR to find out what in the hell was taking so long for FEMA to deliver temporary homes and the EXACT timelines for those. Some amazing reporting being done by their team.

@matt_vanswol - Matt Van Swol

And just to be 100% clear, this is a STATE PROBLEM, not a federal problem. The STATE should have moved faster. It is INSANE this money is still sitting at the Treasury.

Under Biden, FEMA took money AWAY from Americans in need of disaster relief and spent it on 5 star hotels for illegals. Pure evil.

I need to highlight something shocking: FEMA allocated $59 million to house undocumented immigrants in luxury hotels in New York. Meanwhile, the FEMA Administrator recently stated in an Oversight Hearing that there’s no funding available to help North Carolina recover from Hurricane Helene. She mentioned that FEMA can't reimburse communities for rebuilding after federally-declared natural disasters like Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. It's hard to find words for this apparent mismanagement and corruption.

@WallStreetApes - Wall Street Apes

I need to point out something absolutely insane FEMA just sent $59 million to house illegals in luxury hotels in New York But just a short while ago the FEMA Administrator said in an Oversight Hearing there was NO MONEY to rebuild North Carolina after Hurricane Helene “FEMA won't be able to reimburse communities that are rebuilding from federally-declared natural disasters — Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton” - CBS News She literally said, they’re out of money…. There are just no words to describe this anti-American corruption

Video Transcript AI Summary
President Biden requested $98 billion in emergency funding for recent natural disasters, Hurricanes Helene and Milton. These storms caused over 200 deaths and extensive damage. FEMA's disaster relief fund has only $5 billion remaining. Without additional funding, FEMA will soon be limited to immediate needs, impacting rebuilding efforts in affected communities, particularly smaller and rural ones. FEMA has already provided over $1.6 billion in individual assistance and $1.3 billion in public assistance to nearly a million households. Helene and Milton's recovery costs are projected to exceed $50 billion each and will span years, surpassing all previous disasters this decade except Hurricane Maria.

Speaker 0: Monday, president Biden asked Congress for $98,000,000,000 in emergency funding to help offset the cost of recent natural disasters, including hurricanes Helene and Milton. Those back to back storms killed over two hundred people. Survivors are still digging out of storm damage. The FEMA administrator testified that the current balance of the nation's disaster relief fund is just $5,000,000,000. And if that sounds like a lot of money, well, without that emergency funding, FEMA is going to be forced to revert to what's called immediate needs funding within weeks. That means even though the disaster agency can do lifesaving work in places like Western North Carolina, debris removal, providing shelter, food, and water, they won't be able to reimburse communities that are actually now rebuilding from recent federally declared natural disasters, including many small and rural communities. Since Helene and Milton, FEMA says it's provided more than 1,600,000,000.0 in assistance to nearly a million households. That's on top of 1,300,000,000.0 in public assistance. Recovery for these two storms is likely to add up to more than $50,000,000,000 apiece and will take years. The FEMA administrator said already the recovery costs associated with Helene and Milton are outpacing all previous disasters within the past decade with the exception of hurricane Maria.

The Trump administration is approving over $1 billion in federal funding for rebuilding in Western North Carolina. The Department of Housing and Urban Development is providing the grant to aid in rebuilding homes after Hurricane Helene. The governor's office states that this type of grant usually focuses on long-term rebuilding plans, not immediate shelter needs. The next step involves the state gaining financial control of the funds from HUD, enabling the state to sign the grant and start distributing the money.
