Republicans to meet allies of Hungary's Viktor Orbán on ending the Ukraine war - The Guardian 🧵 1/3 https://t.co/oYYoXzELQq

Video Transcript AI Summary
Hungary's authoritarian leader Viktor Orban is meeting with Republicans in Washington to push for an end to US military aid to Ukraine. This aligns with the growing alliance between America's far right wing and Europe's, as seen earlier this year when Orban hosted high-profile MAGA supporters at CPAC Hungary. Orban's remarks at the event revealed his opposition to LGBTQ rights and "woke culture," while promoting Hungary as an incubator for conservative policies. It's no surprise that American right-wing figures, including Tucker Carlson, have been supportive of Orban's fascist dictatorship. This alliance poses a threat to democracy and plays into the hands of Putin, who favors Orban's policies. President Biden, on the other hand, will be hosting Ukraine's president at the White House.

Speaker 0: And we begin tonight with the American hard rights bear hug of the European hard right. Hungary's authoritarian leader Viktor Orban, Europe's leading defender of fascism, has long been a right wing idol for Republicans trying to destroy democracy here at home. So it should perhaps come as no surprise that according to The Guardian, This week, allies of Orban will hold a closed door meeting with Republicans in Washington, including members of Congress, to push for an end to US military aid to Ukraine. They probably won't have to push too hard since stopping Ukraine would be a gift to Russian president Vladimir Putin, the Russians' other favorite strongman. And it comes amid some counterprogramming of sorts as president Biden will be hosting Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky, at the White House on Tuesday. The Republicans' embrace of Putin friendly policies by way of Viktor Orban is just the latest in a growing alliance building between America's far right wing and Europe's. Earlier this year, Orban hosted some of America's most high profile MAGA foot soldiers at CPAC, Hungary, including failed Arizona senate candidate and Trump superfan Carrie Lake and longtime white nationalist sympathizer, Arizona congressman Paul Gosar. And Orban's remarks at CPAC Hungary make clear why his American hard right admirers see Hungary's fascist dictatorship as a model for the US. He denounced LGBTQ rights and what he called woke culture and told his audience of international right wingers, quote, No migration, no gender, no war. Adding, Hungary is actually an incubator where experiments are done on the future of conservative policies. Hungary is the place where we didn't just talk about defeating the progressives and the liberals and causing a conservative Christian political turn, but we actually did it. It's no wonder then that America's own fascist right agrees and has been on a years long campaign to make it happen. In 2021, one of Orban's biggest US cheerleaders, Tucker Carlson, took his Fox show to Budapest for a week.

Hungary chose to defend its borders during the 2015 migration crisis, a stance that clashed with the EU's open-door policy. We believed it was our right and duty to protect our nation, culture, and traditions. Many European nations are experimenting with post-Christian, post-national societies, which we see as risky. Despite being labeled a "totalitarian thug" by President Biden, our nation maintains strong economic and defense ties with the U.S. The core issue is our success as a conservative, national alternative within Western civilization. Our economic, political, and cultural achievements, rooted in traditional values and national identity, challenge the liberal world view. They criticize us because our success proves there is an alternative to their leftist liberal ideals.

Speaker 0: Good evening and welcome to Tucker Carlson tonight. Of the nearly 200 different countries on the face of the earth, precisely one of them has an elected leader who publicly identifies as a western style conservative. His name is Viktor Orban. He's the prime minister of Hungary. Hungary is a small country in the middle of Central Europe. It has no navy. It has no nuclear weapons. Its GDP is smaller than New York State's. So you wouldn't think leaders in Washington would pay a lot of attention to Hungary, but they do obsessively. By rejecting the tenets of neoliberalism, Viktor Orban has personally offended them and enraged them. What does Viktor Orban believe? Just a few years ago, his views would have seemed moderate and conventional. He thinks families are more important than banks. He believes countries need borders. For saying these things out loud, Orban has been vilified. Left wing NGOs have denounced him as a fascist, a destroyer of democracy. Last fall, Joe Biden suggested he's a totalitarian dictator. Official Washington despises Viktor Orban so thoroughly that many including neocons in and around the state department are backing the open anti semites who are running against him in next April's elections in Hungary. We've watched all of this from The United States and we've wondered if what we've heard could be true. So this week, we came to Hungary to see for ourselves. We sat down with Orban for a couple of long conversations including one this morning. In a moment, we'll show you some of that and you can make up your own mind about it. But first, a word about Hungary. Even if you understand that the American news media lie, it is always bewildering to see the extent of their dishonesty. Nothing prepares you for it. We've read many times how repressive Hungary is. Freedom House, an NGO in Washington that's funded almost exclusively by the US government, describes Hungary as much less free than South Africa with fewer civil liberties. That's not just wrong. It's insane. In fact, if you live in The United States, it is bitter to see the contrast between, say, Budapest and New York City. Let's say you lived in a big American city and you decided to loudly and publicly attack Joe Biden's policies. His policies on immigration or COVID or transgender athletes. If you kept talking like that, you would likely be silenced by Joe Biden's allies in Silicon Valley. If you kept it up, you might very well have to hire armed bodyguards. That's common in The US. Ask around. But it's unknown in Hungary. Opposition figures here don't worry that they will be hurt for their opinions. Neither, by the way, does the prime minister. Orban regularly drives himself with no security. So who's freer? In what country are you more likely to lose your job for disagreeing with the ruling classes orthodoxy? The answer is pretty obvious though if you're an American it is painful to admit it as we have discovered. With that, here's Viktor Orban. His accent is pretty thick, but his English is precise. He's worth hearing. Mister Prime Minister, thank you very much. So in 02/2015, hundreds of thousands of migrants appear on your southern border. They appear all over Europe. They stream into Germany. The rest of the EU says, welcome. Please come. We can handle it. We're strong enough. Hungary stands alone in saying no. Why? Why did you take a different position on migration from other European countries? Speaker 1: That was the only reasonable behavior. If somebody without getting any permission on behalf of the Hungarian state cross your border, you have to defend your country and to say, guys stop. And if you would like to cross or you would like to come, there's a legal procedure. We have to do it, but you can't cross, you know, without any kind of limitation and permission and any contribution and control of the Hungarian state. It's dangerous. You have to defend your people against any danger. Speaker 0: And you think you have a right to do that? Speaker 1: Of course. That's got from the it's coming from the God, the nature, so all arguments be with us. Because this is our country. This is our population. This is our history. This is our language. So we have to do that. Of course, if you are in trouble and there is nobody closer to you than the Hungarians, you have to be helpful. But you can't say simply that, okay, it's a nice country. I would like to come here and to live here because it's a nicer life. This is not a human right to come here. No way, because it's our land. It's a nation. It's a community, families, history, tradition, language. Speaker 0: Saying what you just said, which I think will seem obvious to a lot of our viewers, was very offensive to a lot of countries in Western Europe, to their leaders. Speaker 1: Yeah. Because because the many European countries decided to open a new chapter of their own history of the nation. They call it a new society, which is a post Christian, post national societies. They believe firmly that if different communities, even huge number of, let's say, Muslim communities, and the original inhabitant, let's say, Christian communities, are mixed up, the outcome of this will be good. There is no answer whether it will be good or bad, but I think it's very risky. And the chance that it will be not good, but it will be very bad is obvious. And each nation has the right to take this risk or to reject this risk. We Hungarians decided not to take that risk, to mix up our society. That's the reason why they attack Hungary so harshly, and that's the reason why my personal reputation is very bad. You know, I'm I'm treated like the black sheep of the European Union personally, and sometimes Hungary as well, unfortunately. Speaker 0: So it has been six years since Germany, since Angela Merkel made the decision to let many hundreds of thousands of migrants into her country. Millions. Millions. Non German speakers, mostly Muslim. What have the effects been in Germany? Speaker 1: You know, diplomacy is, Speaker 0: requires Speaker 1: some bad behavior, but it was their decision. They took the risk, and now they got what they have deserved. That's their life. I would not like to make any categories to describe what was the outcome of their decision. I only insist on that the Hungarians has the right to make our own choice. Speaker 0: You first became famous in the late eighties as a student as one of the leaders against Soviet occupation of Hungary. And you were a hero to many in The United States and at the time during the cold war we pay close attention to Hungary. I think the US government was on your side, you were on the side of the US government. So thirty years later, Joe Biden while running for president last year on ABC News described you suggested that you are and I'm quoting a totalitarian thug. Speaker 2: You see what's happening in everything from Belarus to Poland to, to Hungary and the rise of totalitarian regimes in the world and as well as this president embraces all the thugs in the world. Speaker 0: Is that bewildering for you to see the change? And how do you respond to that characterization? Speaker 1: So first of all, the reaction of that kind of opinion here in Hungary is always not very polite, but to think, who is that guy to say that? Then we say, okay, he's the president of United States, so we should take it seriously. But anyway, somebody who does not speak our language has a very limited knowledge on Hungary, even in the recent, several decades of our life. Don't understanding us, obviously. Having an opinion like that, you know, it's by itself, it's a it's a personal insight for all the Hungarians. But because he is the president of United States, we have to be very modest. We have to be very respectful and we have to make a lot of things to clarify that what he is doing is rather a fake. We try to do that in a polite way because we respect the Americans. We respect the American democracy, American culture. So we would not like to destroy our relationship because the bilateral relationship with the Americans is basically very good. We are cooperating well on the, on the field of defense as NATO allies. Economic cooperation is excellent. You are a big investor here. Trade is going very well. Your businessman is, finding a lot of possibilities here. So everything is fine except the politics when the liberals are in government in Washington. That's the problem. So we have to manage that because the the American, Hungarian, good relationship is a value, even if the Americans don't perceive today it as it was previously. So we have to save what we can save out of it. Speaker 0: But it's a little strange. I I don't think Joe Biden has ever referred to Xi Jinping, for example, who has murdered many of his political opponents famously, as an a totalitarian thug. Why would he single you? And not just you, by the way, the the Polish government as well. Speaker 1: The problem is the success. So it's a real challenge for the liberal thinkers that what is going on in Central Europe, Poland and in Hungary as well. In Hungary, more outspoken, probably speaking probably too much anyway, on our intentions. So, so what is going on here is building up a society which is very successful Economically, politically, culturally, even in demography, we have some success, family policy. So what you can see here could be described as a success story. But the fundamentals of this success are totally different than it is wished, and run and created by the, by many other Western countries. So the, the Western liberals cannot accept that inside the Western civilization, there's a conservative national alternative, which is more successful at the everyday life, at the level of them, than the liberal ones. That's the reason why they criticize us. They are fighting for themselves, not against us. But we are an example that somebody or a country which is based on traditional values, on national identity, based on, tradition of Christianity could be successful or sometimes even more successful than a leftist liberal

Speaker 0: So let's say you're the president of the United States of America. It's a big, complicated, hard to govern country, but there are certain advantages. You've got a big population, 300 and 50,000,000. You've got an enormous country, an entire continent, cut off from the chaos in the rest of the world by 2 oceans, and you have deep, deeply abundant natural resources, most fertile farmland in the world, some of the biggest energy reserves in the world. It's not that hard to have a prosperous country. Let's say, by contrast, you run Hungary. Hungary is a landlocked country of only 10,000,000 people, less than 10,000,000 people in the middle of Central Europe. It's also flat, and that means if you're marching from west to east or much more likely from east to west, you march across Hungary. And it's been the way for, of course, 100 of years. So the question if you run hungry is how do you keep it a distinct sovereign country? How do you keep it Hungarian? Now that's a trick. Don't try that at home. It's very, very hard. And yet somehow, they've done it. And if you look at it in those terms, what's happened in Hungary or more precisely what hasn't happened, it hasn't been invaded by anybody, is a miracle. In fact, it was last invaded by the Soviets, and they were kicked out over 30 years ago. And they've kept it pretty well sovereign despite their NATO membership ever since. And the key to that really is the prime minister, Viktor Orban. But he's not the only Orban who is keeping Hungary Hungarian. Orban is his political director. He is very much a public intellectual in Hungary, also a big political player, and a writer. He's got a brand new book called Husar Kut, the Hungarian Strategy for Connectivity, which is out right here. And we're honored to have him join us in studio. Thank you for coming. Speaker 1: Thank you very much for inviting me. It's good to be here. Speaker 0: So I I'm so struck having been to Hungary a couple of time a couple of times. And, of course, I don't speak Hungarian. I'm a utter outsider. But my take Speaker 1: You don't have the secret code. Speaker 0: You don't have the secret. I don't have the IQ to speak Hungarian. But it's a very kind of moderate normal country. It would have been unexceptional in 1985, I think, in Western Europe, Speaker 1: you know. Is it an offense? Speaker 0: Is it what? Speaker 1: Is it an offense? Speaker 0: It's not an offense at all. Speaker 1: Thank you. Speaker 0: It's it's wonderful, actually. Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 0: It's a time capsule in that way. But the hungry that I hear described in Washington from the diplomatic community and the foreign policy thinkers is a terrifying fascist theocratic police state. How it bears no resemblance at all to the Hungary that I've seen. So why the disconnect? Speaker 1: Well, you have to understand them as well because, because, Hungary was occupied many times, and now we just regained our sovereignty. It's an old nation. Culturally, it's an island in the in the in the middle of Europe. It's a very proud nation, proud of our our history and language and and, and and the geography. And, and we like to keep it that way. We like to pretend that we are sovereign. We have the right to decide with whom we are going to live together and with whom we're going to be together in an alliance system and and how to govern ourselves. And, and this is something which is which is a brand new issue for for the contemporary liberal elites in Washington and, and Brussels. They are not used to it. But, if you take sovereignty seriously, then you have to practice it on a daily basis. Speaker 0: But I I mean, I thought the whole project of liberal democracy was designed to create sovereignty. In other words, the liberal democracy is they did the people rule and, the majority rules, but with respect for the rights of the minority, and you have differing opinions, but, ultimately, countries get to make their own decisions. We don't believe in imperialism. So you're living that and your country are trying your best. Why are you hated by the people who claim to represent those values? Speaker 1: What I want to describe in a book is that, you know, after the collapse of the Soviet Union when when you had the unipolar world movement, it wasn't about liberty. It was about one ideology based on neoliberalism, overtake everything. And the idea of end of history promoted by Francis Fukuyama is not about creating sovereign nation states, all over the world, but but creating a globalized system based on an ideology on the same ideology. The same ideology has to has to followed by everybody who wants to be integrated in the system. If you are not, then then you are kicked out. This this was the word order based on neoliberalism. And when we hope that that, this word order is over and something new is coming based on, let's hope, national conservative ideas, based on national sovereignty, based on mutual trust and respect. This is the only way how we can how we can survive. Speaker 0: I think one of the reasons that you're so hated in Washington is that our policymakers and Applebaum and the rest decided that Hungary was just too white and too Christian, period. They hate those things, of course, more than anything, and that you need to change that through mass migration, and Hungary alone among European nations said no. And you've gone through an awful lot of drama and suffering as a result on the international I mean, you devoted your life to the aftermath of this. But here's my question. You know, whatever, it's been 10, 15 years later, was that a good decision? Was it worth it? Speaker 1: Oh, of course. This is why we are still alive. If you look around how the how the cities, look like in in Western Europe, they are they are stuck. They are suffering a lot, like parallel societies, terrorist attacks, and new forms of anti, Semitism. And social cohesion is important. Yeah. Yeah. So if you want to have a strong country, you need to have social cohesion. And, social cohesion is not just comes naturally. You have to work on it. And and you can destroy it very easily. And these decisions, based on migration, they are definitely destroying social cohesions in many western societies. Speaker 0: Thanks a lot for watching us on x. There is a lot more to see, and you can find it on tuckercarrelson.com. We hope you'll join us.

In September 2015, Josh Roche outlined a comprehensive plan for addressing the migration crisis, proposing that the EU accept at least one million asylum seekers annually. He emphasized the need for additional financing, suggesting long-term euro bonds to support migrants' welfare upon arrival. A key aspect of his plan involved establishing safe channels for asylum seekers, particularly from Greece and Italy to Hungary. This situation is not merely a series of random events but part of a deliberate strategy. There are concerns about organizations, referred to as the "Empire of George Soros," that allegedly support illegal activities undermining national regulations. The broader issue encompasses the transformation of Europe, aiming to marginalize Christian and conservative political forces from decision-making within the EU.

Newly exposed documents reveal a secret EU plot targeting rising right-wing movements in Europe, particularly the Patriots EP, led by Orban, Le Pen, and Vox. Elites are panicking, feeling threatened by the surge of movements like "Make Europe Great Again" and a global shift fueled by Trump and Musk. The strategy aims to reverse the rightward trajectory by consolidating a pro-European majority, including EPP, Renew, and Greens, effectively sidelining nationalist agendas. This involves blacklisting so-called extremist right-wing positions and employing psychological operations to divide and conquer the right. Europeans should recognize criticisms of being "too far right" as manipulation. The right wing is being targeted for subversion and the European right must ignore these attacks and psychological manipulation. Speaker 0: New documents expose a secret EU plot to fracture and destroy the rising right wing movements in Europe, specifically targeting at Patriots EP, the fastest growing conservative party in the EU led by Orban, Le Pen, and Vox, the populist party out of Spain. With mega movements, make Europe great again movement surging and a global shift fueled by Trump's second term and Elon Musk's fight for free speech, the elites are panicking. They know their days of unchecked power are numbered. Proposed strategy towards the extreme right, the ninth parliamentary term, saw decisions and legislation in the parliament largely agreed on the basis of so called Vanderland majority of EPP. Our group, and they capitalized group, just just to let you know, is a genuine conspiracy. Our group, you might as well say, Spectre, must define a clear strategy, accompanied by a set of principles and concrete guidance for internal actors to reverse the current rightward trajectory and keep the parliament true to our shared European values of, you know, sacrificing our own people for infinite Middle Easterners, which can only be realistically achieved by building and consolidating a pro European majority involving the EP, Renu, and Greens. EPP, Renew, and Greens. So, again, you've got the far left and the center left and the center right all cooperating together to stop nationalism from actually taking root again in Europe and reversing some of the, again, deliberately deconstructionist and suicidal programs, whether it's the Green New Deal or the immigration programs or the war in Ukraine or the the, you know, COVID rules. I mean, everything that this cabal does is hugely damaging, directly damaging to the well-being and and circumstances of the European people. You've got a rising right wing in Europe for a number of different reasons, most of which, I mean, you can basically sum it all up in that Europe is being actively and deliberately destroyed by its power structure, and the young people of Europe are awake to this, aware of what's going on, and working politically to combat the deconstruction of their homelands. And the people that are doing the deconstruction are not happy about this, and they're failing to put a lid on the rising tide of the right wing. This is a secret memo sent out to everybody except for the, quote, far right in Europe that are the right wing people that are just like, let's not kill ourselves. I mean, literally, that, you know, makes you far right in these countries. A simple basic disagreement with national suicide. And their their method is basically saying, we're just cutting the right wing out of everything. We're just giving them nothing. We're never gonna entertain their ideas. We're never going to go to them to solve solve our differences. If there's differences between the center left and the leftist, we need to work that out internally and just full fledged blacklisting of any so called extremist right wing I e, you know, nineties Democrat position. This is the psychological operation that they are now unleashing on Europe. And so the takeaway from this for the European should be that the right wing is being targeted for subversion and for manipulation and coercion to try to use psychological manipulation, ridicule, condemnation, and a a unified left and center left, you know, media attack to drive the right the center right away from the far right and towards the left. It's a trick. So the European right wing needs to know these criticisms of you're too far right. They have to be ignored. They are a psychological strategy of divide and conquer by your enemies. In 2015, Josh Roche published a plan stating the EU must accept at least 1 million asylum seekers annually. Financing is critical, and he proposed issuing long-term Euro bonds to finance the migration crisis, including migrants' social welfare. Safe channels must be established for asylum seekers, starting by transporting them from Greece and Italy to destination countries, including Hungary and Austria. This is not accidental but a deliberate plan. The speaker claims they are fighting an organized gang called the Empire of George Soros and NGOs. They allege this group supports those transgressing the legal system, finances illegal activity, and aims to capture main positions inside EU institutions by buying out MPs and leaders. The speaker asserts this plan aims to change Europe, push aside Christian, conservative, and national-based political leaders and voters from EU decision-making bodies, and that migration is not just about migration.

Speaker 0: I do remember how mister Josh Roche published his plan in English in a project syndicate publication. It was done 2015, September 26. And he published a plan. He said that he is my I'm quoting, he write the 6 components of my comprehensive plan. I just quote 2 or 3 points of that. First is he said very clearly, 2015, that, quoting again, EU has to accept at least a 1000000 SE loan seekers annually. That's for the first point. 2nd, he said, all that what financing is critical. And he proposed to issue long term euro bonds for financing the migration crisis and the migrants' social and welfare, taking care when they arrive to the European Union. And another point which is very important for Hungary, which is involving the territory of Hungary directly into this program, he said that, quoting them, safe channels safe channels must be established for asylum seekers starting with getting them from Greece and Italy to their destination countries, which means to bring them to Greece to Hungary and then have them to go to Ocen. So don't forget that what we are speaking about is not an accidental stories, not a bulk of 10 years of accidental stories. It's a plan which is going on. It was written. It was published. It's known. So we are fighting to get an organized gang called Empire of George Soros, NGOs, who are just supporting everybody who is transgressing our legal system and our regulation and, financing illegal activity captive, to captive, the main positions inside many institutions of European Union, buying out, MPs and other leaders, and in order to execute the plan, which is written, and it's against all the Christian and nation based political forces. It's against us. It's about how to change Europe and how to alleviate and push aside all the Christian, conservative, national based political leaders and voters from the European Union decision making bodies. So this is the migration about not just about migration. Sorry for

Hungary's "Stop Soros" laws in 2018 aimed to combat foreign-funded NGOs that facilitated illegal immigration, marking a decisive stance against EU migrant relocation schemes. I believe Soros is not a philanthropist but a globalist who fosters chaos through open-border activism, undermining national sovereignty. His influence manipulates politics and media, targeting nations like Hungary and Poland that resist his agenda. To protect culture and borders, nations must recognize Soros as the architect of this crisis and demonstrate the courage to resist.

🚨 HUNGARY WAS RIGHT: SOROS ISN’T A PHILANTHROPIST — HE’S AN ARCHITECT OF DESTABILISATION 🚨 🔴 In 2018, Hungary passed the “Stop Soros” laws — criminalizing foreign-funded NGOs that aided mass illegal immigration. 🛑 They outlawed the EU’s migrant relocation schemes. They drew the line. 🗣️ Orban saw it. Hungary saw it. The floodgates weren’t accidental — they were designed. 🔥 GEORGE SOROS IS A GLOBALIST ENGINEER OF CHAOS 🔥 📢 WHAT THIS MEANS FOR THE WORLD: ⚠️ He bankrolls open-border activism that erodes national sovereignty ⚠️ His networks manipulate politics, law, and media to enforce global governance ⚠️ Nations that resist — from Hungary to Poland — are smeared, sanctioned, and silenced 💥 If you want to preserve your culture, borders, and future — Hungary showed the way 💥 This isn’t compassion — it’s controlled collapse under the disguise of “human rights” 🚨 ANY NATION THAT WANTS TO HALT MASS ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MUST RECOGNISE THE SOURCE 🚨 🌍 Soros isn’t a symptom. He’s the strategist behind the crisis. ✊ National survival requires courage. Hungary had it. Will your leaders?

European leaders favoring restrictive migration policies are meeting in Budapest following Hungary's vote to criminalize individuals or groups aiding asylum seekers. This move defies the EU and human rights groups. Austrian Chancellor Kurtz and Hungarian leader Orban, both immigration hardliners, are attending. Hungary also outlawed EU attempts to relocate asylum seekers. Orban views himself as the defender of Christian Europe against a perceived Muslim invasion, a rhetoric that led to his election victory. The "Stop Soros" campaign, popular in Hungary, paints George Soros as the organizer of this "invasion," despite Hungary having low immigration rates. Human rights groups are disappointed and look to the EU and the Council of Europe for recourse. The EU Commission is expected to react, but Orban has defied the EU before. While the EU can threaten sanctions, excluding a member state is difficult, especially with rising populist support. A mini-summit on migration is planned in Brussels, highlighting the issue's urgency despite low immigrant numbers.

Speaker 0: European leaders in favor of a restrictive migration policy are gathering in Budapest today for a meeting of minds. It follows yesterday's vote in Hungary to stop Soros. That's a series of laws that criminalize any individual or group who help asylum seekers, including NGOs. Well, the move defies the EU and human rights groups. Amongst those at the meeting will be Austrian chancellor Sebastian Kurtz, an immigration hardliner, as well as Hungarian leader Victor Orban. And MPs also passed an amendment saying, and quote, alien population cannot settle in Hungary, outlawing EU attempts to relocate asylum seekers from Italy and Greece. Well, joining us from Paris now is Dutch journalist Stephane de Vries. Stephane, this is again another complicated topic. Why are there why is there so much support on tightening restrictions on asylum in Hungary? Speaker 1: Well, Victor Orban sees himself as the defender of Christian Europe, as the protector, as perceived Muslim invasion. And this rhetoric brought him a crushing victory in the last elections in April. He won a two third majority in the parliament. And, well, we've seen that in other countries as well. Being tough on immigration attracts voters. We've seen it in Italy, in in Austria, and other EU member states. And the Stop Soros campaign slogan was a very popular one. Now George Soros is seen as the person who is organizing this imaginary foreign invasion. Because if you look at the numbers, Hungary has actually one of the lowest immigration rates of the whole European Union. But George Soros is seen as the personification of this invasion. And the fact that Soros is Hungarian, well, it probably really bothers, Orban who sees Soros as a some some traitor of his country, and that may be an explanation why this stop Soros bill, was, was voted by such a large majority, yesterday in Budapest. Speaker 0: Obviously, this human rights groups obviously are not going to be happy with this. What can they do? What what will their response be to this? Speaker 1: Well, of course, they are very disappointed and and even upset by this new rule. Their hope, of course, is the European Union. The Council of Europe, which is the continent's leading human rights institution, is currently reviewing the bill. They had asked the Hungarians to wait with the vote, but Budapest decided to ignore this call. But it may well be that this bill is not respecting any European laws. I think later today, the European Commission will issue a reaction to what's happening now in Budapest, but the for the right for the moment, the human rights organizations, well, they really have to comply with the new rules because they risk a jail, a prison jail sorry, prison sentence of for a one year if they help illegal immigrants to apply for asylum. So the only hope now is European Commission and the Council of Europe. And I think later today, we'll we will have reactions from Brussels and probably also a warning to Victor Orban. Speaker 0: Yeah. But, Stephane, it's not the first warning. The EU has already said before Hungary, you cannot do this, but Hungary went went ahead and did it. So act will that change anything? Will the EU's reaction change anything? Speaker 1: You're absolutely right. Victor Orban has been defying the European Union for for many years now, and, we've seen that Brussels is basically well, they they can't do anything. They can threaten. We are seeing the same thing with Poland. They are, of course, trying to to get Poland on track because they are not respecting, according to Brussels, the basic rules of a of a law society. And so so they can threaten, but what can they do? There is a procedure to exclude the European member states, but this has never been used in the history of Europe, and it would be very difficult because it's, well, it's very unpopular, especially now in these times that populist parties are getting more and more votes. So, yeah, the European Union can can yell. They can shout. But at the end, it's Viktor Orban who wins. Speaker 0: And very briefly, Stefan, what's interesting is, again, we're gonna have this summit, and Hungary will be in the midst of all those leaders. What do you expect from that? Speaker 1: Well, not much. I think the the the agreement will be that Hungary should respect European law, that the European Commission will look into it. But more importantly, there's another extra mini summit this weekend in Brussels with Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, a number of other countries on the the issue. So we see that the migrant issue is really well, we've talked about this many times this week already, is is one of the most urgent this week. And it really doesn't it's it's not logical because as we've seen, the numbers are down. There are actually very few immigrants coming to Europe now. And even in in in Hungary, there are currently around 3,000 refugees living in Hungary on a population of 10,000,000. So there's a huge difference between reality and perception, and it will be the task of the European politicians to to to explain that this gap is is not not real, and, but it will be very difficult since the populists are so popular. Speaker 0: Yeah. But what will be interesting is to watch the behind the scenes in those summits. Thank you very much, Stephane de Vries.

A map of populism is described as a CIA drone strike list, funded by USAID and potentially NATO. The European Center for Populism Studies frames anti-globalization, anti-establishment, and anti-corruption sentiments as populism factors. The speaker claims that being against communism lowers a country's democracy score on the map. They suggest that countries with scores below 50 are targets for CIA regime change operations. Examples include Australia pushing LNG exports amid the Russia-Ukraine war, and digital authoritarianism being attributed to meme-posting teenagers rather than state entities. The US has a score of 80, while Canada has 92. Populism factors include anti-immigration, xenophobia, Islamophobia, racism, and anti-communism. The speaker argues that anti-corruption sentiments are viewed negatively. They criticize the methodology, claiming it aims to influence laws and monitor populist trends to identify targets for regime change. Freedom House, a CIA adjunct, dinged the US freedom score for attacks on the disinformation governance board.

Speaker 0: They have a map of populism. This is just a fucking CIA drone strike list. Anti globalization, anti establishment, anti corruption. If people weren't mad about corruption, we'd be a better democracy in the eyes of the CIA than NATO. I bet you this thing's NATO funded. Machismo. Their dicks work. Ding their democracy score. Anticommunism? Anti do you guys see this? Anticommunism is listed as a populism factor dinging The United States' score. Being against communism lowers your democracy score. I mean, you could literally go to this map, and everything with a score below 50, there is an active CIA regime change operation ongoing. Do you see why they use this framework? Because by using this catchall word populism, it doesn't fucking matter what you believe. All that matters is have you opened your butthole to them. Spiral sent me this. I have actually this in the syllabus, this European center of popular populism studies. This is a thing funded by USAID. Wow. The top one at the European Center for Populism Studies. Election results were rejection of Trumpist style populism in Australia. Now understand, Australia is, like, the second largest exporter of LNG. Okay? So they want everyone kicked off of Russian gas, the gas pipelines from Russia, and to buy Australian LNG. US partnered, Shell partnered, ExxonMobil, Chevron partnered LNG. They want maximum war on Russia. They want to make sure Australia does not become peaceful. Want to keep Australia on a maximum cold war footing to protect their fucking markets. From fraud to framing, Marine Le Pen's trial. The Erdogan regime and its future amid mass protests, prospects for change? Can is is our color revolution attempt in Turkey potentially successful? Digital authoritarianism. I love it. They're literally going after, like, 16 year olds living in their parents' house, posting edgy, like, Orban memes and calling them the digital authoritarians, not the ones who control the fucking CIA, FBI, German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the federal fucking police. No. They're not the digital authoritarians. The authoritarians are like teenagers posting memes. Populism in EP elections. Case Finland, Populism gone mad. Populism. Populism. Populism map. They have a they have a map of populism. This is just a fucking CIA drone strike list. View larger map. Let's take a look at this. The US, Eighty out of a hundred. What was this last updated, I wonder? Canada has a 92% score. Sociopolitical situation, stable. Main populism factors, left wing populism, right wing populism, nationalism. This shit, we gotta look at who funds this European Center for Populism Studies. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This is a fucking hit list. Stable. I wonder when this is last updated. Let me see. I'm gonna do a archive.org. Oh, this is gonna be a great resource. Spiral, dude. Secret weapon over here. Last updated 02/15/2025. A lot has happened since then. Interesting. So The United States has a worse score than Canada on its autocracy rating. Main populism factors, anti immigration. The people can't have sovereignty over their own immigration policies. Xenophobia, Islamophobia, xenophobia, afraid of Chinese people, xenophobia, racism, anticommunism, anti do you guys see this? Anticommunism is listed as a populism as a pop as a populism factor dinging The United States' score. Being against communism lowers your democracy score. Anti globalization, anti establishment, anti corruption. Oh, I see. This is they're like, this is what people are feeling, and that's what's giving rise to it. Anti corruption is giving rise to populist factors. They're fucking pro corruption. Do you guys see this? I can't scroll down on it because it'll it'll move the thing. It won't let me okay. Is this clear? Can you guys see how do I okay. Do you guys see this? It says anti corruption. If people weren't mad about corruption, we'd be a better democracy in the eyes of the CIA. And NATO, I bet you this thing's NATO funded, was was previously USAID funded, to be funded by the European the European Endowment for Democracy, possibly also NED or one of the NED branches. It's to be funded by these, like it might get, like, NATO social cohesion funds. It's gonna have EU grants, definitely. Anti elitism, conspiracy theories, Judeo Christian civilizationalism, machismo. Their dicks work. Dingler democracy score. Climate change denial. And then also, like, a vague anti establishment Bernie Sanders, anti neoliberal, Democrat socialism. Let's see. Brazil, the situation is is fragile. We're stable in The US, but it's fragile in Brazil. Right Wing Populism, climate change denial, anti corruption, flawed democracy, illiberal democracy. Let's see. Let's go to let's go to Venezuela. Twenty Eight, Left Wing Populism. You see how everything you want a regime change as populist? Whether it's left wing populist or right wing populist? Venezuela's left wing populist, anti establishment, revolutionary socialism, anti capitalism. Do you see why they use this framework? Because by using this catchall word populism, it doesn't fucking matter what you believe. All that matters is have you opened your butthole to them? Are you nationalists in any way whatsoever so that they don't get their cut of your money? Let's see. Let's check out some of the others. Russia is at 33. Ultranationalism. Anti feminism. Europhobia. Oh, yeah. They're they're afraid of Europe. Finland's in 92. Let's see. Ireland said 90. With all the problems Ireland's having, they're at 90. They're higher than The United States. France is an 80 tied with The US. The problem is Marine Le Pen. I mean, you could literally go to this map and everything with a score below 50, there is an active CIA regime change operation ongoing. Methodology. This is gonna be funny. Scholarly research. Raise public awareness and provide practical recommendations to policymakers. So the whole thing is to influence laws. It ain't research. It ain't studies. It's operations. It monitors populism trends around the world by observing and reporting on populist political parties, movements, actors. Populist politics are strongly linked with rolling back democratic norms and standards and institutions. They also feature a regime rating, a shorthand method for analyzing whether the CIA should regime change their government. I'm sorry. The strength of their democratic institutions, the strength of our assets there. They haven't updated this thing since Trump took office. For January 2025, I bet you it's a lot less than 80 now. Yeah. For civil liberties, freedom of expression, freedom of the press. Yeah. They just love free expression. Again, this just means is regime media dominating? They'll give a flying figure. Let's go back to the map. What do they what score do they give for Germany? Eighty Seven. Germany is a higher score than The United States. Even though in Germany, you literally get your house raided for questioning whether there should be immigration. Speaker 1: It's six zero one on a Tuesday morning, and we were with state police as they raided this apartment in Northwest Germany. Inside, six armed officers searched the suspect's home, then seized his laptop and cell phone. Prosecutors say those electronics may have been used to commit a crime. The crime, posting a racist cartoon online. At the exact same time across Germany than 50 similar raids played out, part of what prosecutors say is a coordinated effort to curb online hate speech in Germany. Speaker 0: The federal police come in and raid your house, thousands and thousands of people. You get arrested in Germany if you are in a group chat where someone else posts a meme the government doesn't like. And their score is based on how much freedom of expression there is. Again, that just means, like, can they get pussy riot in there? Can they get their version of the media to dominate? Yeah. Erodes trust in experts, institutions. Yeah. I mean, we've we've been over this. They all say the same thing. Right? It erodes our control. It erodes our deep state as we started the stream earlier with. We need the deep state to save us. That's all that is. And they calculate these points based on Freedom House. Of course, Freedom House is the fucking CIA adjunct that after Trump won 2016 started dinging countries' freedom score unless they had censorship laws and regulations in place. Freedom House actually dinged the US Freedom House score in 2024, citing the attacks on the disinformation governance board. Think about that. Freedom House, funded by the US state department, was run by Michael Chertoff, became the chairman of BAE Systems, the largest military contractor in NATO, and who gave birth to the idea of the disinformation governance board. They dung the the the country score for The United States on the freedom index because they got rid of the Internet censorship at the government level. It's also naked.

I see Belgium stall the plan to use €210B of frozen Russian assets at Euroclear, demanding legal guarantees to avoid constructive expropriation. The EU aims to borrow against those reserves for Ukraine, but sovereign immunity and international law block it. This signals a crisis of trust in the rules-based order, inviting lawsuits, chaos, and a potential shift away from Western financial dominance.

@IslanderWORLD - THE ISLANDER

First Italy, now Belgium. The West is about to torch 200+ billion € in Russian sovereign reserves to fund a war it’s already lost, and suddenly, some of looters looks over their shoulders. Meloni warned it violates international law. Belgium’s sweating liability. Because deep down, they know: if you rob a nuclear superpower’s central bank, you’re not a rules-based order, you’re a mob. At the October 23 EU Summit in Brussels, a plan to use €210 billion in frozen Russian central bank assets, most of it held in Euroclear, a Belgian clearinghouse — was expected to be rubber-stamped. Instead? Delayed. Pushed to December. Why? Because Belgium blinked. Despite the propaganda spin, Belgian officials demanded legal guarantees that they wouldn’t be left holding the bag if Russia sues, which it inevitably will. They know that using those funds, even just as collateral for loans to Ukraine, transforms a freeze into a constructive expropriation, which violates customary international law, sovereign immunity, and treaty obligations. Euroclear, a private entity tasked with safeguarding sovereign assets, holds over €190 billion in Russian state reserves. It’s not just a custodian. If it allows EU leaders to use those funds for war, it becomes complicit in theft. That’s why Belgium demanded a firewall. And that’s why the EU couldn’t push the plan through. Let’s be crystal clear: •Sovereign immunity prohibits one state from seizing the central bank assets of another. •The UN Convention on Jurisdictional Immunities of States (Article 21) guarantees protection of central bank property used for non-commercial purposes. •The Articles on State Responsibility (ARSIWA) demand any “countermeasures” be proportional, reversible, and aimed at dispute resolution, not economic annihilation. •And yet here we are: the EU wants to borrow against Russia’s frozen reserves to hand Ukraine €140 billion in new war funding. That’s not sanctions. That’s financial warfare. It’s what banana republics do after coups, not what so-called liberal democracies do that pretend to subscribe to a rules based order. And Belgium, seat of Euroclear, just admitted the obvious: this will end in lawsuits, chaos, and precedent-shattering collapse of trust. Trust, the only thing underwriting the post war Breton Woods financial order. Without it, fiat ponzi collapses. What happens when the precedent is set that a G7 bloc can seize and monetize the sovereign reserves of a nuclear superpower? Here’s what happens: •Every BRICS central banker pulls funds out of Western custody. •The petrodollar dies faster. •The euro becomes toxic as a reserve currency. •Nations ask: If they’ll rob Russia today, who will they rob tomorrow? Trust, the last pillar of Western financial supremacy is gone. The dollar isn’t backed by gold. The euro isn’t backed by industry. The pound isn’t backed by anything except the illusion of rules and property rights. Break that illusion, and what’s left? Answer: Fear. Retaliation. Collapse. This was never about Ukraine. It’s about control. Narrative control. Financial control. Legal control. You can’t run a global empire if nobody trusts your vaults. And if EU elites thinks they can test up the law to rob Russia today, the whole world will ensure it pays the price tomorrow. This is no longer about frozen assets. It’s about a frozen order, cracking under the weight of its own moral and legal bankruptcy. And Hungary, Italy, Belgium, one by one, are stepping out of the blast radius.

@IslanderWORLD - THE ISLANDER

🇮🇹 When Giorgia Meloni told the EU to think twice before stealing Russia’s frozen assets, it wasn’t Kremlin propaganda. It was the final voice of sanity in a Brussels asylum. Because what the Eurocrats are doing isn’t just illegal, it’s suicidal piracy. The theft of sovereign reserves will detonate the post-war financial system, and the rest of the world is already taking notes. “We believe, and we are not the only ones, that it is necessary to respect international rules and the principle of legality,” Meloni said, adding that the EU must protect “the financial and monetary stability of our economies and the euro area.” There’s a reason even the IMF and ECB are sweating behind closed doors. The European Commission’s plan to use over €210 billion in frozen Russian central bank assets as collateral to fund Kiev in 2026–27 is not just lawless, it’s existentially reckless. The entire post-Bretton Woods financial architecture rests on the idea that sovereign reserves, held in trust, are sacrosanct. Break that trust once, and every single sovereign creditor from Africa to Asia starts asking: “Who’s next?” The moment a Western financial institution like Belgium’s Euroclear, becomes an instrument of political confiscation, it ceases to be neutral infrastructure. It becomes a battlefield. Sovereign reserve managers from Saudi Arabia, Brazil, India, and China are watching this unfold not with shock, but with clarity. The West has weaponized the monetary system. That means the game is over. De-dollarization, de-euroization, and dedollar-denominated trade routes aren’t just theoretical anymore, they are now mandatory self-defense mechanisms. This is no longer about Ukraine. That war is already lost. What’s unfolding now is a rearguard scorched-earth policy: the EU, unable to win on the battlefield, is trying to win time from its own collapse through financial vandalism. But here’s a basic truism: you cannot win a financial war if your system depends on global trust. And that trust has just been smashed with a brick. If Russia is just a "gas station with nukes” as the Atlanticist blob claims, why are they trying to rob it like it’s the last vault on Earth? Why are European pension funds, dollar-exposed banks, and fragile bond markets being leveraged just to bleed a few more billion into a Ukrainian state that increasingly resembles a bankrupt fortress of grift? The answer is clear: The West is broke. And it’s panicking. Meanwhile, Russia is already two moves ahead. Putin has made it explicit: the real punishment isn’t lawsuits or tit-for-tat seizures, it’s in building the architecture that makes Western theft irrelevant. Gold-backed trade settlements, BRICS+ banking infrastructure, national currency denominated bilateral swaps. Russia doesn’t need to win lawsuits in The Hague. It just needs to demonstrate that if you park your reserves in Brussels, you’re a sucker. Remember, the ponzi only works on trust and credibility. That’s the grand irony. In trying to punish Russia, the EU is doing exactly what Russia wanted: revealing the Western financial system as predatory, arbitrary, and terminally politicized. That’s the final phase of transitioning to multipolarity. You don’t need tanks to win, you just need to make people realize the “rules-based order” is a con. So yes, Meloni deserves credit, and not as a rebel, but as a technocrat who remembered what the rulebook says. The United States can afford to be reckless — their currency is still the global reserve (for now). But Europe? Europe just handed over its economic soul to a collapsing war plan and expected no blowback. That’s not policy, it's junkie logic. And now that Russia isn’t breaking but victorious, now that it’s building trade corridors, de-dollarizing, and thriving, the mask drops. The EU doesn’t know what to do… so it steals. History will remember that it wasn’t Moscow who tore down the global financial order. It was Brussels, so thank you to the EU!

🚨European Union wants to steal €140 billion of frozen Russian assets and give them to Ukraine.🇪🇺🇺🇦 But the problem for the EU is that Russia has the ability to punch back twice as hard and bring down the European financial system.🇷🇺 It also won’t do much to save Ukraine. https://t.co/A8FFGHJHL8

The EU is advocating funding Ukraine with frozen Russian assets, with EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen calling it the most effective way to sustain Ukraine and proposing a €140,000,000,000 reparations loan. The EU would lend to Ukraine and expect Russia to pay via seized assets once reparations are enforced. This follows Western action since the conflict began when the US and EU froze $300,000,000,000 in Russian reserves, originally anticipated to be returned in a peace deal. But that approach has evolved. In 2024, G7 leaders provided a $50,000,000,000 loan to Ukraine, to be repaid by interest from frozen assets. That loan is described as a first step, with the EU now aiming for the full principal amid growing Western fatigue over taxpayer funding. However, full confiscation carries the risk of triggering financial warfare. With serious Western consequences, Russia could retaliate by seizing $288,000,000,000 in Western assets in Russia, including securities and real estate. Russian courts have already taken hundreds of millions from JPMorgan and German banks. Even more, Russia might sue Euroclear, the Belgium-based holder of most frozen assets, which manages $40,000,000,000,000 globally, in courts such as Dubai or Hong Kong wind, potentially allowing Russia to seize Euroclear's worldwide assets, causing panic and destabilizing Western finance. Moscow has warned Belgium of liability. Beyond that, such moves would erode trust in the dollar and euro among emerging markets. China, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia oppose the plan. Fearing their reserves, alongside central banks, are shifting to gold, this opposition could hasten such a shift. Politically, the plan removes one of the incentives Russia has demanded for negotiations—recovering $300,000,000,000. Without that incentive, Moscow would push for total victory, while the EU's plan risks self-inflicted economic chaos and an extended conflict. Video Transcript AI Summary
The exchange centers on claims regarding a plan attributed to George Soros and its alleged global implementation to increase migration to the United States and Europe. Speaker 0 references a 2015 publication by George Soros, stating that the plan has now been implemented worldwide to bring millions of illegals into The United States and into Europe, and notes that Viktor Orban, Hungary’s leader, recently pointed this out. Speaker 1 recalls the details from the 2015 Project Syndicate publication, outlining two main components. First, Soros purportedly argued that the European Union must accept at least a million EU seekers annually. Second, he purportedly emphasized that Abekwa financing is critical and proposed issuing long-term euro bonds to finance the migration crisis, including funding related to migrants, social welfare, and care as they arrive in the European Union. In addition, the plan allegedly called for establishing safe channels for asylum seekers, beginning with moving them from Greece and Italy to their destination countries. The dialogue attributes these specific elements to Soros, presenting them as a policy framework or strategy. Throughout the discussion, Speaker 0 adds a brief, fragmentary remark, “that’s why they don’t like,” which appears to reference opposition or criticism without elaboration within this excerpt. Key claims highlighted in the conversation include: (1) a 2015 Soros plan published in Project Syndicate proposing that the EU accept a minimum of one million asylum seekers annually; (2) the proposal of Abekwa financing as a critical element, including the idea of issuing long-term euro bonds to fund the migration crisis, along with supporting migrants’ social welfare and care needs as they arrive; and (3) the suggestion to create safe channels for asylum seekers, starting with relocating individuals from Greece and Italy to other EU destination countries. The participants frame these points as explanations of a policy approach that they assert has been implemented globally, and they reference Viktor Orban’s commentary to support their argument. The transcript captures a concise allegation-based discussion about Soros’s 2015 proposals, their supposed financing mechanisms, and the establishment of safe relocation channels for asylum seekers, tied to ongoing political debates surrounding migration in Europe and the role of opposition figures such as Viktor Orban.

🇭🇺 Before a single vote was counted in Hungary today, a document had already leaked from within Peter Magyar’s own circle — advising him to declare victory prematurely on election night, citing the 2014 Maidan coup in Ukraine as the operational blueprint, and calling for street mobilisation against government buildings if the result goes the wrong way did Brussels. Magyar denied it. A former party adviser confirmed the document was real. Let that establish the context for everything that follows because what is being sold to you as a democratic movement in Hungary is, in the most literal sense, a Brussels-backed project with a colour revolution manual attached to it. Ask the obvious question: why does a bloc of 450 million people care so obsessively about who governs a country of ten million? Because Viktor Orban has been blocking the EU’s €90 billion loan to Ukraine and dares to Hungary's interests first. That is the entire story. Everything else... the projection over corruption allegations, the rule of law rhetoric, the years of wall-to-wall Western client media coverage is packaging around that single geopolitical imperative. Hungary is the one member state with the nerve to use its veto, and Brussels needs that veto gone. When Orban blocked the loan, Zelensky responded in March by threatening to give Orbán’s personal address to the Ukrainian Armed Forces “our guys can call him and speak to him in their own language.” Brussels Court Jester openly threatening the the life of another country’s elected leader. Over a loan vote. Even the European Commission no friend of Orban was forced to condemn it, warning there “must not be threats against EU member states.” The institution demanding Hungary’s compliance had to formally rebuke its own puppet for threatening Hungary’s Prime Minister with military contact. And now, on election day itself, we have a document circulating inside the EU-backed opposition advising Magyar to use Maidan as his template if the ballot doesn’t deliver. This is not the first time Brussels has run this play. They ran it in Serbia in 2023. They ran it in Georgia in 2024. And in Romania the most brazen example of all, they didn’t even wait for the street. When Călin Georgescu won the first round of Romania’s 2024 presidential election, the Constitutional Court annulled the entire result two days before the scheduled runoff citing BS "classified" intelligence reports that could not be fully disclosed, examined or contested by the candidate or the public. A man won an election. The establishment cancelled it. Even the pro-EU candidate who stood to benefit from a rerun condemned the decision. The precedent was set in plain sight: if the wrong person wins, the result is void as the EU lectures about democracy. This is the EU's actual operating model for sovereignty. If you vote correctly, your election stands. If you don’t, your election is a Russian influence operation and your Constitutional Court will be reminded of its obligations. The script is identical every time — fund the opposition, saturate the zone with NGOs and aligned media, construct the “foreign interference” narrative in advance to pre-delegitimise any unfavourable result, and if the vote still goes wrong, activate either the courts or the streets, depending on which is more convenient. Turnout in Hungary hit a record 66% by 3pm today — a million more Hungarians voting than at the same point in 2022. Whether they are voting for Orbán or against him, they are voting with the full knowledge of what Brussels did to Romania, what it attempted in Georgia, and what a leaked document suggests it has prepared for Budapest. The results come after 7pm. Watch what happens next with enormous care — because if the Maidan playbook attached to Magyar’s campaign is real, the story doesn’t end when the polls close. It’s just getting started.

Saturday, April 11th. Day Five of the Irish fuel protest and despite everything this government has thrown at them, the farmers of Ireland have not moved. Five days against the full weight of the Irish state with the Garda Commissioner threatening force, army present, ministers competing with each other to use the word sabotage and the men sleeping in their cabs on O’Connell Street are still there this evening, still holding Foynes, still holding Galway, still holding every road and motorway the government needs them to clear before it’ll show them what’s in the package it’s been sitting on all week. Diesel went from €1.70 a litre to €2.30 in a matter of weeks because of a war Ireland never voted for and never consented to... a war whose energy consequences were entirely predictable and entirely ignored by a government that was too busy kneeling before Brussels to give a shit that home heating oil had gone up 67% on the same people it was elected to serve. And this is before you factor in that taxes already accounted for 60% of every litre of petrol at the Irish pump before the first missile was fired in the Gulf. The government had every lever available to ease that burden. Understand what €1.69 a litre already meant for an Irish farmer before any of this started, it wasn’t sustainable then. Taxes were already eating over 60% of every single litre at the pump. The same government that committed Irish money and Irish political capital to the Ukraine war, violating Ireland's neutrality that sent fuel spiking in 2022 and was described as the price of democracy by the same ministers now sneaking through back entrances to avoid their own people — had already spent years layering carbon taxes, green levies (at the altar of the WEFs green protection racket) onto every litre of diesel before a single shot was fired in the Middle East. So the farmers came out. The hauliers came out. The agricultural contractors who keep this island moving came out. They blockaded Whitegate refinery, that supplies 40% of the country’s fuel. They blockaded Foynes and Galway Port. They parked on O’Connell Street and slept in the rain because nobody with power in this country was listening, and sometimes the only way to make yourself heard is to make yourself impossible to ignore. This afternoon the state came for them at Whitegate with Public Order Units. Pepper spray deployed against Irish farmers. Men physically dragged from their own tractors by their own police force and removed from a road in Cork like they were a threat to national security rather than working people who cannot afford to run the businesses their families built over generations. Eight tankers were eventually escorted through under armed Garda convoy as if the men who grow this country’s food had somehow become the enemy. The Garda Commissioner has since announced he is moving on Foynes and Galway next. Said he will not tolerate this any longer. 600 of Ireland’s 1600 petrol stations are dry tonight and that number is growing. The government has a support package on a desk in Leinster House and won’t publish it until the blockades end. The farmers say they’ll stand down when they see what’s in it which is a reasonable position of people who have been promised things by this government before and watched those promises dissolve the moment the pressure was off. The British Empire controlled two thirds of the world at its height and it could not make Ireland bend to its will. They tried to break it with manufactured famine and they couldn’t do it. The blood that runs through the farmers standing is the same blood that looked the greatest empire in human history in the eye and didn’t flinch. Micheál Martin and his Brussels handlers would want to think very carefully about what they’re dealing with because this island has a very long memory, and a very poor record of submitting. You’ll never beat the Irish. Tiocfaidh ár lá.

I’m told the EU is blackmailing Hungary’s new prime minister with 27 conditions to unlock over €30 billion in frozen funds, demanding an end to Orbán-era policies on LGBTQ rights, immigration, and Ukraine. Refusal could permanently halt funds. The post says this prices independence and that taking the money means selling Hungary’s soul.

@GabeZZOZZ - Gabriel

The EU is blackmailing Hungary’s new prime minister by giving him 27 conditions HE MUST ACCEPT in order to unlock over €30 billion in frozen funding. These conditions include abandoning the Orbán-era policies on LGBTQ rights, immigration, and foreign policy, particularly regarding Ukraine. Failure to comply could result in the permanent loss of further EU funds. There you have it. The EU is putting a price on your country’s independence and sovereignty. If you take the money, you’ve sold your soul to the devil.
