The Fulton County Georgia district attorney, Fannie Willis, has been accused of appointing her lover as a special prosecutor in the case against Donald Trump. DA Fannie Willis is responsible for taking Trump's mugshot. Also, allegedly, financially benefited from hiring her lover, Nathan Wade on that Trump case. This is according to a motion that was just filed by Wade, the codefendant. Now who is this romantic partner who Fannie Willis hired? He was just a private attorney. He's never even tried a felony case. Even the Times says he has, quote, limited experience trying high profile cases. But get this, Fannie's alleged lover, has been paid nearly $1,000,000 in legal fees already. Who authorized the payments? Oh, that would be Fannie. Where'd she get the money? Oh, that's your money. Came from the taxpayers. They've allegedly gone on luxury vacations to Napa Valley, even taking Caribbean cruises. Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor in the election interference case against Donald Trump in Georgia, has reached a temporary agreement in his divorce case, avoiding the need to testify. The agreement does not settle the case, but resolves temporary alimony and attorney fees. Allegations of Wade's affair with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis have been brought to light, potentially impacting the case against Trump co-defendant Michael Roman. Willis has not denied the allegations but has until February 2 to respond.

@WylieGuide - 🇺🇸 Rich Howard 🇺🇸

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Nathan Wade, a special prosecutor in the election interference case against Donald Trump in Georgia, had reached a temporary agreement in his divorce case, and will thus not be required to testify in proceedings this week. Had the agreement not been reached and Wade were to take the stand, he would likely have had to divulge the truth about his highly-publicized alleged affair with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. According to the New York Times, a spokesperson for Andrea Dyer Hastings, the attorney representing Wade's wife, Jocelyn, said following the last-minute decision that the agreement was "temporary," noting that it would be in place "while the final details are worked out." "While this negates the immediate need for a hearing," Hastings stated, adding that temporary alimony and attorneys fees had been resolved, "it does not settle the case."  The Wades married in 1997 and have two children together, both of whom are now adults.  Allegations of Wade and Willis' alleged impropriety were first brought to light in a court filing by Trump co-defendant Michael Roman. His lawyer, Ashleigh Merchant, claimed that Willis and Wade "have been engaged in an improper, clandestine personal relationship during the pendency of this case, which has resulted in the special prosecutor, and, in turn, the district attorney, profiting significantly from this prosecution at the expense of the taxpayers." Court documents revealed that Wade bought plane tickets to locations such as Miami and San Francisco in Willis' name. Roman argued that if the allegations that Willis hired her lover to be on the prosecutorial team are true, Willis' conduct could potentially warrant a dismissal of the charges against him and disqualification of the entire DA's office from future prosecution of the case. While Willis hasn't admitted to anything, she has failed to deny there was something going on between her and Wade. At the Big Bethel AME Church in Atlanta, for example, she claimed that she was a "flawed" and "imperfect" public servant, adding that being DA brought with it "loneliness." While she did not mention Wade by name, she did mention "a great friend and a great lawyer." She has until Friday, February 2 to respond to Roman's filing, though whether she reveals any new information about the alleged affair remains to be seen.   https://thepostmillennial.com/fani-willis-alleged-lover-reaches-temporary-agreement-in-divorce-case-avoids-testifying-this-week

Fanny's office has a whistleblower, and the whistleblower recorded Fanny. And the free beacon gave the recording the prime time. The whistleblower, Amanda Timpson, says she caught Fanny's aide stealing money. Fanny's office got a federal grant for half a $1,000,000. It was supposed to go to gang prevention. But Fanny's aide, Michael Kufi, allegedly blew the money on travel, computers, and swag. The whistleblower confronted Fanny and recorded it. Speaker 1: He wanted to do things with grants that were Impossible. And I kept telling him, like, we can't do that and questioning stuff. He would take me off projects, tell people I wasn't doing what I was supposed to because I Questioned him because I understood. I helped to write that grant. I knew what was in that grant. He told everybody, we're gonna get Macbooks, we're gonna do that. We're gonna get swag. We're gonna use it for travel. I said you cannot do that. It's a very, very specific grant. So I respect that as your assessment. It was clear to me that you and Succapi were not getting along. And I'm not saying that your assessment is wrong. Speaker 0: So what'd Fanny do next? Fired the whistleblower. 7 armed men escorted her out of the office. Fannie said the whistleblower didn't meet her standards and Fannie's aide denies he stole swag. But do we sense a pattern here? Fannie's office takes public money, hires unqualified people, and the money gets spent on trips and swag. This is the woman who's prosecuting Trump.

Trump lawyers respond to objections regarding cell phone evidence. They argue that expert testimony is not required and that the records were obtained legally. They emphasize the significance of the CSLI evidence and challenge the credibility of the opposing party's testimony. The defense claims that the evidence contradicts the witnesses' statements and suggests that they lied under oath. The document provides a link to the full response.

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

BREAKING: 🚨🚨 Trump lawyers respond to #FaniWillis' objection to the cell phone evidence offered to show Willis and Wade lied to the court

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

"The State protests that the defense is somehow not entitled to present expert testimony regarding the cell site location information (CSLI) as they allege that the defense failed to comply with this Court’s Standing Discovery Order that mandates prior notice to the opposing party of a party’s intention to introduce expert testimony and because they claim that defense has not precleared the evidence through the process of a Daubert hearing. However, neither of those preconditions apply here because the CSLI information that the defense intends to introduce through the testimony of Mittelstadt is not being offered through expert testimony and Mittelstadt will not be offering any opinion testimony"

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

Brutal footnote: "The State’s last-ditch claim on page 9 of its response that the defense obtained the cell phone records at issue illegally is patently frivolous. The records were obtained by valid subpoena issued to AT&T. As the State hopefully knows, defense counsel cannot apply for a search warrant and a subpoena does not require probable cause to be issued"

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

"There is clear authority that cell tower evidence – linking a particular phone with a particular cell tower at a particular time – can be established through the cell phone records without any witness testifying"

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

"Mittelstadt used CellHawk instead of Cellebrite. His testimony will mirror the testimony offered in Georgia courts and courts throughout the country: when one uses a cell phone either by texting, or calling/receiving a call, or by simply having the cell phone on so that it is constantly pinging, a cell tower nearby will receive and record the ping. This evidence simply shows the approximate location of the cell phones based on the nearby cell towers"

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

"The prosecution will surely point out that nobody knows what was happening in the house between midnight and 3:28 a.m. on September 12, or between midnight and 5:00 a.m. on November 30. Mittelstadt does not claim to know. Neither does President Trump or any other defendant in this case. Only two people know. They are certainly the ones who should testify and say exactly what was happening on those occasions, so nobody will complain about improper speculation, or improper efforts to distort the truth, or nefarious contacts with the media"

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

"it is highly significant that the State’s response did not even attempt to challenge the CSLI evidence regarding September 11-12, 2021 or November 29-30, 2021.3 The defendants’ business record CSLI evidence is admissible and Mittelstadt stands ready to testify as reflected in his affidavit"

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

Another brutal footnote: "The State’s response also fails to factor in that the more extensive data for the two dates, including the CellHawk generated animated map which details every cell tower hit along the route of travel, demonstrates Wade's phone traveling to and remaining at the Dogwood address (Yearti condo) geofence during times when clubs, restaurants, and the Porsche experience are most likely not even open for business. Nor does the State chose to inform the Court that this is the same data that Fulton County District Attorney's Office routinely relies upon to obtain convictions, and thus any suggestion that this data is unreliable is disingenuous at best"

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

"Either party is entitled to offer evidence that contradicts the testimony of a witness The witnesses in this case – both Wade and Willis – testified that their romantic relationship did not begin until March or April of 2022 and that they had never spent the night together prior to the Spring of 2022. The evidence offered by the defense to refute this testimony – the CSLI – is admissible pursuant to § 24-6-621"

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

Here, they essentially allege #FaniWillis and Wade lied under oath "the CSLI records that demonstrated that Willis and Wade spent two nights together on dates that contradicted their version of events concerning the inception of their romantic relationship and in contrast to their testimony that they never spent the night together at the Hapeville condominium"

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

"Given the testimony of Wade and Willis that they never spent the night together at the Hapeville condominium, the evidence – actual record evidence, not just an opinion or speculation – that proves that while talking on the phone with DA Willis, Wade drove from near his house to a location near her condo (if not exactly to her condo) at midnight, where he then remained for five hours – not once but twice in two months"

@PhilHollowayEsq - Phil Holloway ✈️

Here's the direct claim that #FaniWillis and Nathan Wade lied, more likely than not "[They] ended up at a location near or at her condominium for five hours makes more than just one fact more likely than not: (1) they spent the night together on those two occasions; and (2) their romance began before Wade was hired. One more fact is also more likely true than not: (3) neither of them testified truthfully at the hearing on February 15"

The process will likely take a couple of hours, involving fingerprinting, photos, and bond setting. The vehicle is registered to her, and the system indicated her license was invalid. Officers assume the registered owner is the driver. She'll be allowed three phone calls once processed to arrange for bond payment, which is estimated around $1200, but varies by municipality.

What So, apparently Apparently, her license is suspended. Who? They open it. For something. Doesn't tell us what board or why or where. That's something she's gonna have to call DMV. Right. Right? Probably what happened, she had a speeding ticket. Some kind of traffic and fracking, and everyone to court didn't take care of it. Okay. That's the best guess. So she's going over to Fayette County Jail, which is right in the Fayetteville Square, 145 Johnson Avenue. Yeah. Normally, I would say a couple hours is the process. It just depends on how busy they are and like that. Okay? The driving on the suspended is basically a traffic citation. She's gotta have her fingerprints done, pictures taken, and then she can make her bonds. And you pay it cash, use the bondsman, be 10%, whatever. They've got a list of people over there too that you can choose from and use for this. She's alive. Whatever she's what she's got. So the beagles registered her excuse me. Registered to her. Okay. I don't know if it was on a flock hit or if the officer observed some kind of traffic and frac and it wasn't me. I didn't make traffic stop. He's already gone and guard's going. Okay? So whatever the case may be, when you run the the tag, it obviously gives us the vehicle information and the registered owner. Okay. And it's already in the system that she's has invalidized yet. Gotcha. So upon that, we just verify that it is that person driving or stop the car first at that point. We don't have to notice them. It's general assumption that the registered owner is the driver of the vehicle. Yep. You know, if you stop it, it's not. Okay. Have a nice day. But, in this case, she was. So Yep. So just are the keys to the car here? Yes. Everything's here. Yeah. Everything's in there. She has three numbers, I believe, she gave. Is it your number, a j c, and a third name, I didn't get. So I'll also make which she'll have to get 3 phone calls. Yeah. Once What does the Once they get the process done, she can make a couple phone calls and call you guys and say, okay. I'm ready. This is how much it is. Whatever. I wanna say off the top of my head, I think driving on suspended license is about $1200. Yeah. Somewhere right in that area. Every municipality is different, you know, give or take a little bit, but somewhere around there. So Okay. Thank you so much. You're welcome. Any other questions, comments, concern?

The physical relationship ended pre-indictment, but the "tough conversation" may have happened after. A man would say the relationship ended in June or July when physical contact ended, but a woman might say it's over when the hard conversation occurs. To a man, the romantic relationship ended before the indictment. The forthcoming indictment had absolutely nothing to do with the end of the relationship. Arguments occurred because Mr. Wade is used to women who can only make him a sandwich, while she believes she is his equal and doesn't need anything from a man. She was giving him his money back because she doesn't need anyone to foot her bills; only her father has ever done that.

Speaker 0: Ended, you left it at August of 2023. That sound right? Speaker 1: That's the hard conversation. That's not the, mhmm. Speaker 0: We've covered this. Next question. And you characterize it as a tough conversation. Correct? Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 0: Okay. I'm not gonna get into the conversation per Speaker 1: se. Should. Speaker 0: Well, he doesn't want to, we won't go there. So, mister Sadat, next question. You know, it's kinda hard to say no when you've got that opportunity. All I'm gonna say is it was it pre indictment in this case? So We know the timeline that the indictment was delivered. Speaker 1: Oh, but and and and so that was clear, the physical relationship ended preindictment. Speaker 0: And is that when you were talking about the tough conversation? Speaker 1: But the I'm not sure that the tough conversation didn't happen till after, but the physical relationship so I'm sure if you ask mister Wade, because he's a male, he would say we ended June or July because physical contact ended then. Just in my mind being a woman, it's over when you have that, like, hard conversation. That's I just think women and men think differently. Speaker 0: And I think the answer, mister Sadler, to your question was she's not sure whether it was before or after the indictment. Well, I'm not I'm not sure that that was her answer, but but to see if I can get specific. Speaker 1: That is what I said. That's what I said. Speaker 0: I'll let you next question, mister Sato. If you need to clarify say one more? The romantic relationship ended before the indictment was returned. Yes or no? Speaker 1: To a man, yes. Speaker 0: To a man, yes. Do you know? She's explained this. Why don't you say it now? She's explained this. And did the and the did the forthcoming indictment have anything to do with that, or was it just a coincidence? Speaker 1: Mister, let's go on and have the conversation. Speaker 0: I'm just asking you whether or not it was a coincidence. Speaker 1: Absolutely nothing to do with this. It's interesting that we're here about this money. Mister Wade is used to women that, as he told me one time, the only thing a woman can do for him is make him a sandwich. We would have brutal arguments about the fact that I am your equal. I don't need anything from a man. A man is not a plan. A man is a companion. And so there was tension always in our relationship, which is why I was give him his money back. I don't need anybody to foot my bills. The only man who's ever foot my bills completely is my daddy. Speaker 0: Is there anything else you would like to add to that? Speaker 1: No. Sure. But I'm sure we'll talk about it further. Speaker 0: No. We're not gonna talk about it further. I'd Alright. No back and forth. Let's sit down. Next question. My

A woman was pulled over and found to have a suspended license, but the reason for the suspension is unknown. She is being taken to Fayette County Jail at 145 Johnson Avenue in Fayetteville. The process will likely take a couple of hours, depending on how busy they are. Driving on a suspended license is a traffic citation. She will have to have her fingerprints and picture taken before making bond, which can be paid in cash or through a bondsman for 10%. The vehicle is registered to her, and the system indicated her license was invalid. It is generally assumed that the registered owner is the driver. After processing, she can make a couple of phone calls. The fine for driving on a suspended license is estimated to be around $1200, but this varies by municipality.

A Fulton County judge has ruled against Fani Willis in a lawsuit filed by Ashleigh Merchant, a lawyer for one of Trump's co-defendants, regarding evidence related to her relationship with Nathan Wade. The judge denied Willis's motion to dismiss the Open Records Case and scheduled an evidentiary hearing in two weeks to uncover the documents she has allegedly concealed. Nathan Wade testified today that Willis intended to prosecute Donald Trump before officially becoming DA and admitted to meeting with Biden administration officials during the investigation. It appears a district attorney pre-judged a defendant's guilt before taking office and hired her boyfriend, paying him $600,000 in cash while they took lavish vacations together. This boyfriend also met with the Biden administration about the case and allegedly lied under oath in Fulton County. Despite this, no one is facing consequences while Trump is labeled a criminal.

@DefiyantlyFree - Insurrection Barbie

So Nathan Wade admitted to the House committee today that Willis planned to prosecute Donald Trump before she officially took the job as DA and he admitted to meeting with the Biden administration officials at least twice during Willis' probe of the former president. So just to recap, a district attorney had already pre-judged a defendant as guilty before she even became the district attorney and had made the decision that she was going to prosecute him. She hired her boyfriend and paid him cash under the table in the amount of $600,000 dollars. They then went on lavish vacations with that money while he was married to someone else and going through a divorce proceeding. And if that wasn’t bad enough the boyfriend she hired also met with the Biden administration to go over the case, twice. And then they lied about it under oath before a judge in Fulton County. Yet nobody is in jail and they are trying to tell you, Donald Trump is a criminal?

I discovered more payments from Fani Willis to her lover Nathan Wade and other lawyers, sourced from a questionable fund. Georgians deserve transparency. Fani has been serving Fulton County for 24 years and has amassed an estimated net worth of $8 million on a $170,000 salary, raising questions about her wealth. The focus should be on the evolving narrative surrounding her actions, particularly her alleged illegal use of state funds to reimburse Wade for their vacations.

An Affair to Remember. 🚨🚨More payments found from Fani Willis to runaway lover Nathan Wade and OTHER lawyers, paid from a ‘seizure (slush) fund’. Georgians deserve answers. ‘Diversity is our strength’ Fani has served the people of Fulton County for 24 years. She has an estimated net worth of $8 million —>on a $170,000 district attorney salary. A fortune. More money than most people make in a lifetime. Never mind how Madam Fani accumulated all that cash —let’s focus on the bigger story. The one that keeps changing. Madam Fani dipped into Georgia state coffers —illegally, to reimburse her married lover turned special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, in CASH for their exotic hideaway vacations.

Fani Willis Fulton County District Attorney Office caught lying again Georgia Attorney finds “More mysterious payments by Fani Willis’ office” 🚨 ADDITIONAL payments to her boyfriend Nathan Wade “There were substantial payments made out of this seizure fund” a fund they said payments weren’t being made out of (screenshots on video as proof) “We see not only payments to Nathan Wade, but payments to other lawyers out of this same fund — So I'm very confused about why the district attorney's office would say, oh, it's a clerical error. We don't pay lawyers out of this fund. We keep the fund low, when not only did they pay Nathan Wade, they paid some of the other lawyers out of this same fund” - Georgia Criminal Defense Attorney Megan Grout

I investigated payments made to attorneys from the civil forfeiture fund. Notably, just eight days after the Fulton County District Attorney's Office filed a civil forfeiture action against Young Thug, Nathan Wade, Fannie Willis' boyfriend, received multiple payments from this fund. Newsweek previously reported that the DA's office claimed these payments were due to a clerical error and insisted that the fund was too low to pay attorneys. However, my research shows substantial payments were made from the fund, including to other lawyers in 2022. This contradicts the DA's explanation, raising questions about the office's transparency regarding these transactions. I will continue to investigate further.

Speaker 0: Hey, everyone. I did a little bit more digging on this whole payment to attorneys out of the civil forfeiture fund. If you remember my prior video, that got a lot of attention, we saw that only 8 days after the Fulton County District Attorney's Office filed the civil forfeiture action to confiscate and keep Young Thug's property, Nathan Wade, who's Fannie Willis' boyfriend, was paid multiple times out of the civil forfeiture fund. Now, when Newsweek got ahold of this information back in March of 2024, they inquired with Fulton County as to why that would be that he was, being paid out of the civil forfeiture fund. And they got a response that said that it was a clerical error, a data entry error, and that the funds are kept so low that they would never pay a, an attorney out of of that fund. So, I went back and I just looked. I searched open checkbook, which again, all of you can do, and I narrowed it to payments by the district attorney's office out of the forfeiture fund. And here's what I found. These are actual screenshots from my laptop. Again, anybody can do this, can search this yourself. You don't have to be a lawyer. It doesn't cost anything. And as you can see through each of these different screenshots, and you can pause them to read them, what we're seeing is there were substantial payments made out of the seizure fund, when they actually had said that it was kept very low. A few of these payments appear to be for some kind of renovations, but, and then Dell presumably is, you know, computer equipment, but we see not only payments to Nathan Wade, but payments to other lawyers out of this same fund in 2022. So I'm very confused about why the district attorney's office would say, oh, it's a clerical error. We don't pay lawyers out of this fund. We keep the fund low when not only did they pay Nathan Wade, they paid some of the other lawyers out of this same fund. So, Fulton County District Attorney's Office has some explaining to do, and, I'll keep digging.

Video Transcript AI Summary
Weeks of controversy over allegations of an improper romantic relationship between Fulton County District Attorney Fonny Willis and a special prosecutor in the 2020 election interference case culminated in a lengthy court filing from Willis. The filing, more than 170 pages, includes Willis’s admission of a “personal relationship” with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, but she asserts that relationship should not impact their roles in the case. In January, a defendant in the ongoing 2020 election case moved to disqualify Willis, arguing that she appointed Wade as a special prosecutor and that she financially benefited from the relationship. Willis’s latest motion disputes that portrayal. Eleven Alive previously reported that Wade paid for airline tickets for the pair to travel to San Francisco and Miami; Willis, however, writes that financial responsibility for personal travel is divided roughly evenly between the two, with all expenses paid using individual personal funds. The outlet had also reported that Wade was paid more than $500,000 more than the two other special prosecutors on the case; Willis contends Wade earned more money because he “made much more work.” Legal experts Daryl Cohen and Clark Cunningham offered differing views on how the filing might affect the case going into the February 15 hearing. Cohen suggested the judge could determine that the matter does not require disqualification but that the parties are under intense scrutiny. Cunningham anticipated the disqualification issue would not be resolved at the hearing and described the matter as very complicated. The February 15 hearing will be the first time these allegations are publicly addressed in open court. In a related matter, the US House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan released a letter indicating he subpoenaed documents from Willis. The subpoena seeks documents related to the DA’s use of federal funds after a conservative outlet published accusations that Willis fired an employee who attempted to halt the misuse of federal funds intended for youth gang prevention programs. The documents are also linked to the January 6 investigation. Atlanta News First political reporter Doug Reardon reported from outside the Fulton County Courthouse that the open records requests were issued through Georgia’s open records law. The judge, Robert McBurney, previously admonished Willis for not complying within required time frames, with the court asserting that Willis must turn over documents requested by the conservative nonprofit Judicial Watch. The judge stated that Willis had five days to produce the documents and that, according to him, the court had effectively declared a violation of the Open Records Act. Some communications, he noted, are of public interest and not protected by privilege.

Speaker 0: Weeks of controversy surrounding allegations that she had an improper romantic relationship with a special prosecutor leading the twenty twenty election case. Fulton County District Attorney Fonny Willis finally responded with a court filing of her own Speaker 1: 11 alive investigative reporter Zach Merchant has the document. Zach, what are we learning? What does it say here? Speaker 2: We do. We have it right here. We got it just a few hours ago. It's more than 170 pages long. The big takeaway DA Fonny Willis admits to having what she called a personal relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, but said that should not impact their roles in the case. In a court filing in January, a defendant in the ongoing twenty twenty election case asked the court to disqualify the DA, accusing her of appointing Wade as a special prosecutor and then financially benefiting from that relationship. But in today's motion, Willis said that is not true. Previous eleven alive reporting revealed that Wade paid for airline tickets for the pair to fly to San Francisco and Miami. But today, Willis wrote that is not the entire case. She said financial responsibility for personal travel is divided roughly evenly between the two and all expenses paid for with individual personal funds. Eleven Alive had also shown an earlier reporting that Wade was paid more than $500,000 more than the two other special prosecutors on the case. But in today's filing, Willis wrote that Wade made much more money than the other special prosecutors only because Wade did much more work. Two Atlanta legal experts, Daryl Cohen and Clark Cunningham took different views on how they predict today's filing will impact the case ahead of a scheduled hearing next month. Speaker 3: I think that the judge will look at it, and he may, obviously, he may do anything. But if I were to guess, he would say this is not going to rise to you having to disqualify yourself or Nathan Wade, but you guys need to be aware that you're under the hardest microscope ever. Speaker 4: I do not think this disqualification matter is gonna be resolved, at the hearing on February 15 or anytime soon thereafter. I think this is gonna be a very, very complicated matter. Speaker 2: That upcoming hearing on February 15 will be the first time these allegations are directly addressed in open court. We, of course, will be there when it happens. Speaker 0: Alright, so a big development today, Zach, but that wasn't the only development concerning the DA. Speaker 2: No, it wasn't in a related matter, but not entirely on this exact topic. The US House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan released a letter indicating he subpoenaed documents and information from DA Willis. According to his letter, we got a copy of earlier today. Jordan is seeking documents relating to the DA's office's use of federal funds after a conservative news outlet published allegations that Willis fired an employee who tried to stop the misuse of federal funds meant for youth gang prevention programs. Speaker 1: Turn over documents related to her election interference case. She was sued by a conservative nonprofit claiming Willis was ignoring their requests, and the judge agreed. Atlanta news first political reporter Doug Reardon is live outside of the Fulton County Courthouse. And, Doug, these documents are also linked to the January 6 investigation. Speaker 5: Yeah. Presumably, they are and they were made through the open records request that we have here in Georgia and across the country. Anyone can use it. We use it all the time as journalists. It lets you get your hand, hands on public records and tied to that law, there are some really specific time frames in which officials have to respond and either grant or deny those requests. The judge said yesterday that Willis just plain ignored those time frames. Fulton County district attorney, Fonny Willis, must turn over documents requested by conservative nonprofit judicial watch. The group wanted Willis's communications with the federal January sixth committee and Trump's DC prosecutor, Jack Smith, as she carried out her own case with Trump at the center. Speaker 6: It is clear that they did not want to comply or were unable or unwilling to comply, and complying with this law is mandatory. Attorney Josh Schiffer says the Open Records Act Speaker 5: is meant for transparency and set strict standards for responses. Speaker 6: The argument from these conservative groups and other groups trying to get information is that Fonny Willis can very easily collect this information, it's all digital, and send it over. Speaker 5: Judge Robert McBurney agreed, telling Willis she had five days to produce the documents, adding, quote, the court has, in effect, declared that she has violated the Open Records Act. Speaker 6: Some of those communications are absolutely of public interest. They're not protected by any privilege.
