The next few pages are a fascinating tale of his life. Byrne is the poster-child for “you were born for such a time as this”. His unique life & life experiences put him in the position of a great education, mentors that people would pay big money to get lessons from & life experiences that gave him a unique set of skills. I encourage you to read up on his life going from a humble beginnings to a very rich man based solely on hard work & good business decisions. His journey to Overstock included going to China & Thailand to study. His family took a gamble with an unknown investor at that time, Warren Buffet, & it paid off big time. But if you have listened to enough of his interviews, as I have, you can tell he has remained humble & kind. I have to admit, I like his Irish temper when he gets fired up. I wouldn’t want to be at the end of any fisticuffs with him. In another interview, he talked about bicycling across the country, twice. His adventures with friends. One of which, a basketball star, was murdered by his own brother. I hate to cut his life experience to a short description, but I could do a whole thread on just that. I’ll leave that to the historians, bibliographers, & screenwriters. I did found it interesting in this article that through his education & the people he was surrounded by, he knew something wasn’t quite right in the leftist circles. And sought to understand it. An inspiring aspect of Byrne is his battle with his health. He has had over 100 surgeries. I believe this last one he just had this year was #114 or 115! It is unique in itself that he has battled cancer multiple times & won, but as you will soon see, he was fighting for our country through it all. I believe that higher purpose gave him the fight & God obviously blessed him to continue. And through his hospital years, he studied. Worked towards his degrees. He did not wallow away watching tv. This is what men used to be made of before soyboys became more prolific ☹️

I call Patrick the ultimate “people watcher”. He studies, he watches, he puts pieces together. That skill lends well to his entrepreneurial leadership but also his skills in “helping Uncle Sam”. This is where we enter the “helping save America” life mission. The article states in 2005 he started with the Wall Street battle. But, I seem to remember an interview where he stated it was about 2 or 3 years prior in investigations & people coming to him with information. I’d like to pint out two things: 1) Byrne took it very seriously that “old people” were getting ripped off by Wall Street short sale crooks. He says old people but I believe it was “the little guy” in general. And 2) in 2006 a DOJ guy, Breem-got the info, quit & called Byrne to tell him he had 30-40 people behind him. Part of this war is opening our eyes to all that has been hidden. Think of everything we have learned about our government, not only the dirty deeds, but also we’ve learned (or relearned) the functions of government. I just received the transcript of Judge Breyer's hearing this morning about the possibility of his entering another order to halt the president's use of National Guard in California--this time, under the Posse Comitatus Act which prevents the military from being involved domestic law enforcement. Although the CA appellate court (Ninth Circuit) clearly concluded last night the president was within his authority under a federal statute to deploy the guard, Breyer is now trying to find any angle to institute another order reversing Trump. He is off his rocker. Breyer: "It is not clear to me that the Ninth Circuit's stay of the [temporary restraining order] divests this Court of its usual authority...to grant or modify an injunction as to the Posse Comitatus Act following its refusal to grant one. Of course, this Court recognizes that the Ninth Circuit has the authority to modify, restore, or grant an injunction while the appeal is pending. So that I can be sure that I am operating within my jurisdiction, I would like the parties to submit briefs by noon on Monday, June 23rd, 2025, addressing whether this Court or the Ninth Circuit retains primary jurisdiction to modify or grant an injunction under the Posse Comitatus Act."
