Big Sugar paid scientists to blame cholesterol and saturated fat for chronic disease, causing millions of deaths. In 1967, a study revealed sugar as the true culprit, but it was covered up. The consequences were horrifying, with obesity, diabetes, and heart disease on the rise. Dietary suggestions and hidden sugars worsened the crisis. US sugar consumption tripled, along with diabetes cases. Blood sugar problems now affect 1 in 3 Americans. The manipulation caused an estimated 158 million deaths. We must take action by avoiding processed sugars, sticking to whole foods, and spreading awareness. It's time to make a stand for our health.

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

50 years ago, Big Sugar quietly paid three scientists to point the blame for chronic disease at cholesterol and saturated fat. Millions of Americans died as a result. Here’s how Big Sugar has been lying to the American population since 1965: https://t.co/56FLyPFALD

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

In 1967, a single scientific study revealed the true culprit of the diabetes and heart disease epidemic was sugar. NOT saturated fat or cholesterol. So why wasn’t this information made common knowledge?

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

They covered it all up. The sugar industry knew the results of these studies would tank sales and cost them billions. So the Sugar Research Foundation paid 3 Harvard Scientists $65,000 each to "prove" sugar was harmless.

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

Who were the scientists? Some of the most respected nutrition experts in the world. Dr. Frederick Stare was the chairman of Harvard’s Department of Nutrition. Dr. Mark Hegsted was a scientific advisor for the USDA. Dr. Robert Gandy was a pioneer in dietary research.

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

The scientists dismissed multiple long-term studies. The first study proved sugar caused deadly arterial plaques. This was ignored. Another showed heart disease skyrocketed on a high-carb diet. The scientists dismissed it, claiming “these diets are rarely consumed.”

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

The consequences of this scientific manipulation are horrifying. The truth about sugar and its effects on obesity, diabetes, and heart disease remained in the dark for years. Well-meaning doctors prescribed their patients low-fat, high-carb diets for decades.

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

These dietary suggestions are to blame for the obesity crisis in America. The USDA urged Americans to trade butter for margarine. Margarine is now accepted as an artery-clogging poison. And another massive shift was to “healthy” low-fat foods loaded with hidden sugars.

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

As a result, US sugar consumption tripled. So did Big Sugar profits. And not surprisingly, so did type 2 diabetes and blood sugar issues. https://t.co/xekbGexTHg

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

In 1980, only 1 in 50 Americans had a blood sugar problem. Today, that number is up to 1 in 3. High blood sugar kills roughly 3.2 million people per year. https://t.co/68IvIpPIWo

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

And since the Harvard Sugar Study, it’s estimated that 158 million deaths occurred in the US as a result of this manipulation. Horrifying.

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

So what can we do about it? We can take action and avoid processed sugars. Cut out sodas and juices. Cut out processed snacks and treats. Avoid “low-fat” foods filled with sugars.

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

Instead, stick to real, whole foods. Meat, eggs, fish, nuts, vegetables, butter, olive oil. And if you’re going to consume sugar, consume it from sources nature intended you to: Fruit.

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

And, most importantly, spread the message. Big Food, Big Sugar, and Big Pharma have been manipulating and profiting off our disease and sickness for decades. Enough is enough. It’s time to make a stand.

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

Start with yourself. Clean up your own diet and your own health. Then help others. If enough individuals take ownership of their health, we can save the health and lives of millions of Americans. But it starts with you and the choices you make from this point on.

@chrisboettcher9 - Chris Boettcher

Thanks for reading. If you learned something and want more on taking control of your health, follow me @chrisboettcher9. Comment below and RT to help spread the message.

People discuss vaccine misinformation on social media. Some believe in vaccine mandates, while others question their effectiveness. Personal experiences with vaccines vary, with some reporting adverse reactions. The importance of vaccination for public health is emphasized, despite differing opinions on mandates and vaccine safety. Concerns are raised about potential cover-ups and the need for further research on vaccine adverse events. Overall, the debate centers on the efficacy, safety, and societal impact of COVID-19 vaccines.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: Every day I read such nonsense on social media about these vaccines from ignorant couple of things for men. Speaker 1: Opening yourself up to litigation, if you start to discriminate against your employer, it is a mandate vaccination. Speaker 0: Why okay. But why why listen. You make perfectly valid points. But why should I, as a customer, not have the right to use a company like Pimrico Plumbers where I know that they've all been vaccinated? Because I would prefer to do that. Actually, turns out there's not much difference between whether you've had the jab or not for transmission. And at that point, I realized everything I've been saying was completely wrong. Speaker 2: Wrong. Thank you so much for giving us a chance to see it firsthand and then to get the injection. I've just decided that I've had COVID a couple of times, and I'm done with the vaccines. Speaker 3: I have an appointment to get the vaccine tomorrow. It is the Pfizer vaccine, but I I can't care less whether it's Moderna or Pfizer. Just give Speaker 1: it to me. Speaker 3: Yeah. Just give it to me. Speaker 0: And I Speaker 3: had a horrible reaction with the vaccine. I have a son that had a terrible reaction to it, and I'm really very, very concerned. Making a healthy person sick because of something, an intervention we do as physicians, do no harm, is completely violated by the COVID vaccine. We are making a healthy person sick. Speaker 4: We should try to encourage the vaccinated to get vaccinated, all of us. Where they really aren't that critical for those of that are under 50 or younger. Speaker 5: We need to be assisting on people being vaccinated. Speaker 0: Doctor Phelps, good morning. You and your wife both suffered vaccine injuries. Speaker 5: Return to primary school classrooms should be delayed until vaccination levels are optimal. But I think it's very important with this new vaccine, it's only been around for less than 2 years, that it's time that we put some research funding and some real effort into looking at the the causes for the vaccine adverse events that people are experiencing. Speaker 6: If you get vaccinated, you protect yourself, you protect the people around you, and you help us get out of this pandemic a little bit faster. Speaker 7: The government had just said, hey. These are novel vaccines. We don't you know, there will be reactions. Let's just have a program in place to deal with them. Speaker 6: Right. The science is clear, Tony. Well, let me tell you something. Sean, I can't, help you because I'm no clinician. I'm just I'm sick myself. Speaker 8: The messaging should be get a vaccine because it's good for you to do it. It works. You're not gonna have to be, doing anything, like, abnormal. You can live your life. I mean, that has gotta be what the message is. I'm announcing a petition with the Supreme Court of Florida to impanel a statewide grand jury to investigate any and all wrongdoing in Florida with respect to COVID 19 vaccines. Speaker 4: Most important to me was seeing one individual after another embrace vaccine with confidence. I have a number of people that are quite ill, and they never had COVID, but they are ill from the vaccine. Speaker 2: Those who choose not to get vaccinated, need to, there needs to be some sort of incentive stick, perhaps, through the current programs, including no jab, no pay. I think I think as a general principle, we could all agree that mandates have a time limited role in a pandemic. The mandates? Yes. I think we did get that wrong. Speaker 1: The Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine to be authorized by Speaker 9: the UK authorities just after Christmas. And I don't think it's too much of an exaggeration to say that this is going to change the world. Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine has been branded as defective. What is happening now with the COVID vaccines as an example, indicative of this new culture of cover up and, secrecy. Speaker 10: Fortunately for this country, the procurement and rollout of the vaccine has been such an excellent job. Speaker 3: Can we please Speaker 10: have a statement now from the government suspending these experimental mRNA vaccines before any more death and harm is done to our population? Speaker 11: There is some, irrational, clearly irrational reasoning behind why people don't wanna take the vaccine, which is based upon very blatant false information that's circulating on social media. When you look at all of the drugs out there that people are taking, vaccines by far are the safest. So this is perhaps the greatest miscarriage of medical science, attack on democracy, damage to population health, and erosion of trust in medicine that we will witness in our lifetime.

We've seen a stunning rise in autism, autoimmune disorders, obesity, infertility, serious allergies and respiratory challenges. It's time to ask what is going on? Is it the food that they eat? The environment that we live in? The over prescription of certain medications? Is it the toxins and chemicals that are present in our homes? Every year, we spend 100 of 1, 000, 000, 000 of dollars to treat these chronic problems rather than looking at what is causing them in the first place. Too often, our public health establishment is too close to big pharma. They make a lot of money, big pharma. Big corporations and other special interests and does not wanna ask the tough questions about what is happening to our children's health. If big pharma defrauds American patients and taxpayers or puts profits above people, They must be investigated and held accountable. When I'm back in the White House, I will establish a special presidential commission of independent minds who are not bought and paid for by Big Pharma and I will charge them with investigating what is causing the decades long increase in chronic illnesses. I understand Big Pharma, I believe, better than anybody else. I know where they're coming from. And then I will ask them to publish recommendations for how every American child can have a safe and healthy childhood. This is a conversation that is long overdue and it's a conversation that American families deserve. American families must have this conversation, and they must have a leader, a president, who can do something about this problem. And I will do that. Thank you.

Many Americans, including children, consume harmful substances in their food, contributing to a decline in life expectancy and an increase in chronic diseases. This issue intensified in the early 1990s, with rising rates of obesity, cancer, and other illnesses. A significant factor is our diet, which includes toxic additives like tartrazine, a yellow dye derived from coal tar, linked to various health problems. This dye is found in many popular snacks and even some seemingly healthy foods. The cumulative effect of numerous chemical additives remains largely unstudied. While some harmful additives have been banned, many still remain on the market, affecting children's health. There's a call for action to eliminate these toxins and improve public health, emphasizing the need for change in food regulations to protect future generations.

Speaker 0: This is what most Americans innocently put into their bodies these days and most alarmingly into the bodies of their children. And it's no coincidence that Americans die earlier than Canadians or Germans or Italians or Japanese or Koreans or Australians or most any other comparable country. And it wasn't always that way until the early 19 nineties. Our life expectancy was the same or better than other developed countries. Then suddenly, more and more Americans began suffering from chronic diseases, from obesity, cancer, diabetes, kidney disease, Alzheimer's, heart disease, and all kinds of autoimmune diseases, our maternal mortality rate soared to the highest of any developed country on earth. Same with infant mortality. Like the frog and the slowly boiling water, we didn't really notice as we got sicker and sicker. We've grown now to accept chronic disease conditions as normal. But now in 2024, we're finally waking up to this cataclysm, and we're asking ourselves, how in the world did this happen? A big part of it is our diet. Restaurants that serve contaminated food are fined or shut down. But when it's the government that approves the poisons in our food, a few people get very, very rich, and the toxins end up in every supermarket aisle. Let me show you what I mean. Doritos, Cheez Its, Cap'n Crunch, gummy bears, everyone knows that these are junk foods. So maybe you wouldn't be too surprised to see that the ingredients include a lot of poisons, including a harmful yellow dye called tatrazine or yellow dye number 5. What you may not know is that this dye was originally made out of the sludge that's left over when you turn coal into coke for blast furnaces. It's called coal tar, and I've actually sued many big industries for legacy contamination of coal tar all around the country because it's so toxic and it's so harmful to the environment and human beings. A century ago, it was just an obnoxious industrial byproduct that everybody was trying to figure out ways to get rid of. One of the ways that they did that was by paving roads. But then a British chemist figured out that the coal tar could be used to derive fabric dye. And if fabric dye, why not food? Food manufacturers began using it to cover up the discoloration of low quality foods that they wanted to pass off on unsuspecting customers. They didn't know back then that this yellow dye, tartrazine, causes tumors, asthma, developmental delays, neurological damage, ADD, ADHD, hormone disruption, gene damage, anxiety, depression, intestinal injuries. Well, we know it now. We've known this for decades. That's why tatrazine is heavily restricted in other countries. In some countries, foods with tatrazine have a warning label that it may cause ADHD in children. Today, it's made from petroleum, not coal tar. Either way, it's crazy to add this to your kids' favorite foods. It doesn't even change the flavor. This yellow dye isn't just a junk food. It's in the foods that we consider healthy. It's in everyday kids' snacks like popcorn, mac and cheese, fruit snacks. It's in sports drinks like Gatorade and so called vitamin water. It's even added to chicken broth, to corn, to pickles, to mustard, and to yogurt. And so, of course, our kids get sick, and we lovingly feed them chewable vitamins which have, surprise, tartrazine. And so the cycle continues until the coughs and asthma kick in, at which point you go to pick up some cough syrup. And, yeah, you get it, tartrazine. I've been picking on tartrazine today, but that's just one of at least a 100 chemical poisons that our health agencies allow into our children's food. I can make a video just like this to talk about red 40, BHA, BHT, potassium bromate, chemical after chemical, and on and on and on. If just one of them can cause all of these problems, imagine what they're doing in combination. That has never been studied. If we took all of these chemicals out, our nation would get healthier immediately. We'd have fewer sick days. We'd have better focus. We'd have less anxiety. Our kids would learn more easily. We'd lose weight. We'd have more energy. We'd have fewer tumors and longer lives. It's not all dark. Over the past 16 years, the government has banned 8 chemical additives that caused cancer, genetic damage, asthma, and many of the other self conditions as tardrosine does. And you know what's interesting? All eight of those crucial steps forward in our kids' health were taken under president Trump. But the democrats who claim to be all about health care have stood by watching other countries ban these poisons and make our kids sick, asthmatic, hyperactive, and depressed. They left them on every supermarket shelf in America. They even used your tax money to put them in your kid's school lunch. So their big food and their big ag donors probably gave them all that golden handshake and the big money hug, and their big pharma donors probably called them up and thanked them also because now they're gonna make billions selling Adderall, Prozac, and rescue inhalers. Enough is enough. President Trump and I are gonna stop the mass poisoning of American children. Together, we're gonna make America healthy again.

Congratulations @RobertKennedyJr!

@realDonaldTrump - Donald J. Trump

I am thrilled to announce Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as The United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health. The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis in this Country. Mr. Kennedy will restore these Agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of Transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!

I recently spoke to a liberal audience about the state of health in the U.S., highlighting that despite spending twice as much as other countries, we have the lowest life expectancy among developed nations. I pointed out our alarming rates of infant and maternal mortality and criticized the Harris campaign for ignoring chronic illness, which many Americans recognize as a pressing issue. I shared Trump’s three requests for RFK Jr. regarding health agency corruption, evidence-based research, and reversing chronic disease trends, which resonated well with the audience.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

Dr. Casey Means Wows Liberal Audience and Gets Them to CHEER for RFK Jr.'s HHS Nomination “If we were crushing it [at health], we would not be spending 2x every other country in the entire world and have the lowest life expectancy of any developed country in the entire world.” “We are the sickest of the top 11 high-income countries in the world. We have the highest infant and maternal mortality rates, and our life expectancy is 10 years less than our friends in Japan and Switzerland right now.” “The words 'chronic illness,' as far as I know, never came out of the Harris campaign's mouth. And I think that was a real misstep because Americans are, I think, tired of being gaslit about the fact that there's not a problem right now. And when we look around us, we know there is.” “And Trump has asked RFK to do three simple things. He's asked to get the corruption out of the U.S. health agencies, produce uncompromised evidence-based research for our health guidelines, and reverse the trends of the chronic disease epidemic in two years for children and adults so that we can show up for our 250th anniversary of America stronger than ever. That sounds pretty good to me.” (Audience Cheers)

People often believe doctors know everything, but if that were true, second opinions wouldn't exist. The healthcare system spends $4.5 trillion annually, yet life expectancy is declining. Most healthcare costs stem from chronic illnesses linked to diet and lifestyle, yet many medical schools lack nutrition courses. The U.S. has the highest infant and maternal mortality rates among developed countries and a life expectancy ten years shorter than Japan and Switzerland. This is alarming, and chronic illness was notably absent from political discussions. One candidate proposed addressing corruption in health agencies, ensuring unbiased research, and reversing chronic disease trends within two years, aiming for a healthier future as America approaches its 250th anniversary.

Speaker 0: People kinda look at you like you're crazy because I think they just are in this world of doctors know everything. And I think you're you're telling us in medical school, you learn doctors don't. I always say, if they know everything, why do you always have to get a second opinion? Well, if Speaker 1: they knew everything, you Speaker 0: know. It's an you're saying it's an opinion. And by the way, the second one never matches the first one. They're always guessing. I'm not saying they're corrupt, although there is some of that. Speaker 1: You know, if they knew everything, then why would we be spending $4,500,000,000,000 per year on health care costs and life expectancy is going down in the United States? Why are 80% of health care costs going towards chronic illnesses that are rooted in diet and lifestyle, yet at the vast majority of American medical schools, doctors in training are not taking a single nutrition course. And so you have to ask these questions. If we were crushing it, we would not be spending 2 x every other country in the entire world and have the lowest life expectancy of any developed country in the entire world. We are the sickest of the top 11 high income countries in the world. We have the highest infant maternal mortality rates, and our life expectancy is 10 years less than our friends in Japan and Switzerland. Right now, according to Journal of American Medical Association, the average American man in America, age 73 is their life expectancy. It is 83 in Japan and Switzerland. This is something we should all be outraged about, and only one party in our election cycle this year was talking about chronic illness. The words chronic illness, as far as I know, never came out of the Harris campaign's mouth. And I think that was a real misstep because Americans are, I think, tired of being gaslit about the fact that there's not a problem right Trump has asked RFK to do 3 simple things. 9 Things RFK Is Doing On Day One To Make America Healthy Again https://t.co/Uk0yTgKZS8

Video Transcript AI Summary
RFK Jr. aims to promote health in America with nine proposed changes. First, he suggests that overweight children should run behind school buses. Next, he wants to limit movie theater popcorn to five gallons and allow protests against Cold Stone Creameries. He proposes frying Twinkies in beef tallow instead of seed oils and reducing Double Stuf Oreos. He also suggests making diabetes illegal, featuring overweight individuals in McDonald's ads, and adding RFK's disapproving face next to unhealthy menu items. Lastly, he recommends labeling vaccines with a skull and crossbones. To combat seed oils, he promotes Seed Oil Scout, a community-driven app that helps users find restaurants that avoid these oils. Visit seedoilscout.com/b to join the movement.

Speaker 0: Good news, fatties. RFK Jr is ready to make America healthy again. So get ready for these nine changes he's gonna make as soon as he gets into ops. Number 1, require all the fat kids to run behind the bus to school. Pick up the pace, tubbies. Number 2, limit movie theater popcorn buckets to only 5 gallons. You'll run out of popcorn before the trailers end. Number 3, allow BLM protesters to burn down all Cold Stone Creameries. Direct the left's tactics in the right direction. Numero quatro. Remove all seed oils from deep fried Twinkies. All deep fried Twinkies must now be fried in pure beef tallow as god intended. Number 5, reduce Double Stuf Oreos to 1.75 times Stuf Oreos. To get a healthier country, sacrifices have to be made. Here's a good one. Make diabetes illegal so people won't be able to get it. It worked for cocaine and heroin. Number 7. All McDonald's ads must feature only very fat and ugly people, and the food must look just as underwhelming as it does in real life. Number 8. Require restaurant menus to contain a picture of RFK's disapproving face next to unhealthy items. It's it's highly effective. And finally, number 9, the last one. All vaccines must have one of those cartoon skull and crossbones things on the side. Means poison and pirates. After implementing these simple measures, America will be fit, trim, and healthy in no time. Give us your own ideas in the comments below. Seed oils are lurking everywhere, and it's becoming impossible to ignore the dangers. Even the new administration's health advisory board has spoken out with the make America healthy again movement exposing these over processed oils for what they are, major contributors to inflammation, omega 6 imbalances, and more. And the worst part, practically every restaurant cooks with them, making it almost impossible to avoid, especially when you're traveling, you know, or during the holidays, like, yeah. So use Seed Oil Scout to help navigate the minefield of hidden seed oils and find places that actually care about what goes on in your body. Think about that. So check out seedoilscout.com/b. This is a community driven app, so users engage directly with restaurant staff, share their reports, and build a growing database of seed oil friendly spots. Sounds awesome. It's like a grassroots movement that's gaining traction in the food world. Go to seedoilscout.com/b today, and start your journey to a seed oil free world.

Thank you for your decades of advocacy for a clean environment and children's health. I appreciate your willingness to unite across political lines to address chronic illnesses and find their root causes. Many Americans, including thousands of doctors, support this effort, and I’d like to submit their letters for the record. I've issued numerous oversight letters to federal health agencies but received little transparency in return. As Secretary of HHS, will you ensure transparency and honor these requests? My campaign is about uniting Americans to tackle the chronic health epidemic affecting our children. We must set aside our differences to address the rise in health issues linked to environmental toxins. I have the experience and determination to lead this change, attracting talented individuals from all backgrounds to help save our country.

Speaker 0: Thank you. Senator Johnson. Speaker 1: Mr. Kennedy, welcome. Thank you for being here. Thank you for your decades long advocacy for a clean environment, for children's health. I can't say is I'm surprised by the hostility on the other side. I'm highly disappointed in it. I don't know if you remember when you called me up and you were contemplating setting your political differences aside, joining forces with President Trump on an area of agreement, addressing chronic illness, trying to find the root cause of of all these problems facing this nation. My first response was, Bobby, this is an answer to my prayers. We need to get to the answers of this, but even more, we need to heal and unify this divided nation. I'm not necessarily the most optimistic guy because we've got enormous challenges facing this nation. But I thought, wow, here's somebody from the left, somebody I don't agree with on many issues politically, coming together with President Trump and focusing on an area of agreement. So something that the American people desperately want. Finding out the answers. What has caused autism? What is causing chronic illness? Miss Kennedy, I know, I think I've come to know what's in your heart. I think I know the personal and political price you've paid for this decision. Guys, I wanna say publicly, I thank you for that. I truly appreciate what you're doing here. Can't we come together as a nation and do this? Can we do aren't aren't you aren't you getting tired of this? I'm getting tired of this. So again, mister Kennedy, I I need to enter in the record. These these are just these are just 11 letters of support signed by 63000 people, thousands of doctors, from from the American associate Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, Independent Medical Alliance, the North Carolina Physicians and Freedom Group, Governor Jeff Landry from Louisiana. These are Americans, non partisan. A lot of a lot of these people, I I know because I've, you know, advocated with you. A lot of them are Democrats. They put their political differences aside. So, mister chairman, I'd like to enter this in the record. Without objection. I I also do want to, mister mister Kendi, as long as I have you here, I've written over 70 oversight letters to the federal health agencies under the Biden administration. I I've virtually gotten squat out of them. Okay? What what I get is we get, for example, 50 pages of Anthony Fauci's emails redacted. By the way, the latest 1 was 17 pages. Instead of issuing a health alert on the myocarditis they knew was impacting young men, early in 2021 instead of issuing an alert on the health alert network, they developed 17 pages of talking points. That was this was given to the public under a 4 request. They had to go to court. They've got a new way of redacting. They don't black things out. They just give you white pages. So you don't even know what they have redacted. So again, I've issued a subpoena now to cover the information I've I've requested in 70 oversight letters. My question to you is, as as Secretary of HHS, will you honor these requests from Congress and will you make HHS transparent? Speaker 0: Yeah. My approach, HHS, as I said before, Senator, is radical transparency. Democrats and Republicans ought to be able to come in and get information that was generated at taxpayer expense that is owned by the American taxpayer. They shouldn't get redacted documents. Public health agencies should be transparent. And if we want Americans to restore trust in the public health agencies, we need transparency. I want to say something about what you first said. When I launched my campaign, it was about uniting Americans, Democrats and Republicans. There's no issue that should unite us more than this chronic health epidemic. There's no such thing as Republican children or Democratic children. These are our kids. Sixty six percent of them are damaged. I know what a healthy kid looks like because I had so many of them in my family. I didn't know anybody with a food allergy growing up, peanut allergy. Why do 5 of my kids have allergies? Why are we seeing these explosions in diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, neurological diseases, depression, all these things that are related to toxins in the environment? Why can't we just agree with each other to put differences about so many issues, intractable issues aside, and say we're going to end this? I don't think anybody is going to be able to do this like I have Because of my peculiar experience, because I've litigated against these agencies. When you litigate against them, you get a PhD in corporate capture and how to unravel it. I've written 6 books about these agencies. I know a lot about them, and I know how to fix it. And there's nobody who will fix it the way that I do because I'm not scared of vested interests. I don't care. I'm not here because I want a position or a job. I have a very good life and a happy family. This is something I don't need. I want to do this because we're going to fix it. And the other thing is, we are attracting now a caliber of people to HHS like never before in history. And there are entrepreneurs. There are disruptors. There are innovators of immense talent that are walking away, many of them, from growing concerns. They're not coming there or positioned. They're coming there because they want to save our country. And they're from across the political spectrum. And all these Democrats are opposed to me for partisan issues. They used to be my friends. Agreed with me on all the environmental issues that I've been working on for my whole career. Now they're against me because anything that President Trump does, any decision he makes, has to be lampooned, derided, discredited, marginalized, vilified.

A sick person only has one, and we have 60% of the people in this country today who only have one dream, and that's that they can make it through the day without discomfort, that they can survive to see their children grow. And we need to take care of these little ones. It is our obligation. It is the obligation of every member of this elected body, and let's call them to task when they don't do the obvious thing. This is easy. It's a no brainer. And I'm very grateful to these legislators and very, very grateful to president Trump for allowing this to happen.

President Trump is addressing a critical health crisis in America that previous administrations have overlooked. He unveiled the MAHA report, revealing alarming statistics: over 40% of children have chronic health issues, childhood cancer rates have surged, and obesity among kids has skyrocketed. The report highlights the dangers of ultra-processed foods, rising mental health issues, and the influence of pharmaceutical companies. RFK Jr. emphasized the need for a unified approach to public health, urging a return to common sense solutions. The event concluded with a hopeful vision for healthier futures for our children.

President Trump is confronting what every other president has ignored for decades. Chronic disease is rising, and life expectancy is falling fast. He just released a bombshell report exposing the quiet poisoning of America. And you won’t believe how bad it is until you see these stats. 🧵 THREAD

It started with a warning. Sitting with HHS Secretary RFK Jr. by his side, President Trump launched the unveiling of the MAHA report—the most sweeping federal health initiative in modern history—with a grim diagnosis. “There’s something wrong,” he said, his tone heavy. He wasn’t speaking in vague generalities. Trump listed the cold, hard numbers. “More than 40% of American children now have at least one chronic health condition.” “Since the 1970, rates of childhood cancer have soared in many cases by nearly 50%.” “In the 1960s, less than 5% of the children were obese. Now over 20% are obese.” “Just a few decades ago, 1 in 10,000 children had autism. Today it’s 1 in 31.” Each one was a glaring signal of a system in collapse. Trump then vowed to get to the root of the crisis and “not stop until we defeat the chronic disease epidemic in America.”

Speaker 0: Here are just some of the alarming findings, and they really are alarming. It's unbelievable. Terrible. More than forty percent of American children now have at least one chronic health condition. Since the 1970, rates of childhood cancer have soared in many cases by nearly fifty percent. Five o, fifty percent. Well, in the nineteen sixties, less than five percent of the children were obese. Now, over twenty percent are obese. A few decades ago, one in one think of this one. This is to me the one that gets me every time, and it seems to be getting worse. Just a few decades ago, one in ten thousand children had autism. Today, it's one in thirty one. Last time I heard the number is one in thirty four. Right? Now, it's one in thirty one. There's something wrong, and we will not stop until we defeat the chronic disease epidemic in America. We're gonna get it done.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

The report lays out the full scope of that epidemic in unforgiving detail. Here are some of the many alarming health revelations uncovered in the report: 1. Nearly half of American children now have a chronic illness. That includes asthma, ADHD, diabetes, obesity, autoimmune diseases, and more. In places like West Virginia, over half of all children on Medicaid or CHIP are dealing with at least one of these issues. 2. Autism rates have exploded—from 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 31. In parts of New Jersey, the rate is as high as 1 in 19 boys. The trend is accelerating, and for the first time, someone in government is publicly asking: why? 3. Childhood cancer is up more than 40% since the 1970s. We’ve spent trillions on healthcare, but more kids are getting sick—and no one seems interested in investigating the causes. 3. Ultra-processed food now accounts for 70% of the calories kids eat. That includes school lunches filled with lab-made, shelf-stable junk. It’s fueling an epidemic of obesity, diabetes, and early metabolic dysfunction. 4. Teen antidepressant use is up 1,400%. Suicide is now the second leading cause of death for teenagers. Instead of fixing the root causes, we’re medicating the symptoms. 6. Toxic chemicals are showing up in breast milk, baby food, and even umbilical cord blood. From hormone disruptors to known carcinogens, babies are being exposed before they’re even born. 7. ADHD medications rose 250% in just a decade—antipsychotics are up 800%. But there’s no improvement in learning or behavior outcomes. The report calls it a “medical overreaction to a societal crisis.” 8. Food stamp programs are contributing to childhood obesity. States like Nebraska and Indiana are banning soda and junk food from SNAP purchases—and others are following their lead. 9. Teens now spend nine hours a day on screens. That, combined with chronic sleep deprivation, is driving up anxiety, depression, and developmental delays. 10. Our health agencies have been compromised. The FDA, CDC, and NIH all take money from the industries they’re supposed to regulate. The MAHA report calls it a “systemic failure.” Read the document in full here: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2025/05/22/us/maha-master-docdocx.html

At that moment, RFK Jr. stepped forward—not just as Secretary of Health, but as the man who helped bring this moment to life. “I do want to say something,” he began. He then told a story that few had heard. “Because I get a lot of credit for steering this administration toward the MAHA movement—but I joined the campaign in August.” He revealed that Trump had delivered a speech in June—long before Kennedy joined the team—that laid out many of the same issues now central to the report. “It was a MAHA speech—before MAHA existed.” That speech, he said, caught his attention. It showed Trump wasn’t waiting for political permission. He was already moving in this direction. Turning to the president, Kennedy said: “I want to thank you for your vision, for your courage, for standing up… President Trump is a populist president.” “He is on the side of the middle class, the working class, the poor in this country.” The audience erupted. And then, in one of the most remarkable moments of the day, Kennedy added, “I’ve never seen a president—Democrat or Republican—that is willing to stand up to industry when it’s the right thing to do.”...

I joined president Trump in August and became, you know, went from independent to his campaign and but it was in June that he made a speech specifically on this issue. It was a Maha speech before Maha existed and that I took note of that speech at the time and thought there's a potential here for a common ground. I wanna thank you for your vision, for your courage, for standing up. You know, president Trump is a populous president. He is a president. He's blamed for giving money to billionaires and all this stuff. We hear about that all the time. But he is on the side of the middle class, the working class, the poor in this country. People and I've been following. I've met every president since my uncle was president, And I've never seen a president, democrat or republican, that is willing to stand up to industry when it's the right thing to do. And they're willing willing to talk about really difficult issues and to hold his stand on those issues. I've never seen anything like it, and I'm very, very grateful to you. Then came one of the most powerful moments of the event. You could tell that this was something deeply personal to RFK Jr. Sitting beside the president, Kennedy reflected on the weight of what had just happened. “This is a milestone,” he said. “Never in American history has the federal government taken a position on public health like this.” And he gave full credit to Trump. “Because of President Trump’s leadership, it’s not just one cabinet secretary—it’s the entire government that is behind this report.” Then came a haunting historical connection to his uncle, President John F. Kennedy: “My uncle tried to do this, but he was killed—and it never got done.” “And ever since then, we’ve been waiting for a president who would stand and speak on behalf of the health of the American people.” “A president who would say there’s no difference between good economic policy, good environmental policy, good public health policy, and good industrial policy.” “We can have all of them—but we need a united cabinet, and we need to go forward as a single people.”

That spirit of unity, honesty, and common sense—became the report’s core message. “At its heart, this report is a call to action for common sense,” Kennedy said. He laid out exactly what that meant: “We’ve relied too much on conflicted science and ignored common sense—or what some would call a mother’s intuition.” “It’s common sense that ultra-processed, nutrient-poor food drives chronic disease.” “It’s common sense that excessive screen time and isolation fuel anxiety and depression—especially in kids.” “It’s common sense that exercise and nutrition should come before prescriptions and surgery.” “It’s common sense that not all calories are created equal.” “It’s common sense that overmedicating children is dangerous.” “It’s common sense to celebrate modern innovation—but also to demand fearless inquiry into the harms of medication, industrial agriculture, and environmental toxins.” “It’s common sense that research funded by corporations deserves more scrutiny than research funded by independent scientists.”

This report is a call to action for common sense, which has been ignored in favor of conflicted research. Ultra-processed food contributes to chronic disease, excessive screen time and isolation lead to anxiety and depression in children, and exercise and healthy foods should come before prescriptions and surgery. Not all calories are equal, and over-medicating kids is dangerous. We can celebrate modern innovations while demanding inquiry into the negative effects of medication, agriculture, and environmental practices. Research funded by corporations deserves more scrutiny than independent studies. Secretary Rollins and Administrator Zeldin, along with White House staff including Stephen Miller, Heidi Overton, and Vince Haley, are thanked for their work.

Then Trump dropped the hammer on Big Pharma. He began with a line that will go down in the books: “I decided I got to break the system.” “It’s the most powerful lobby in the world. The drug company,” he said. “They have tremendous power over the Senate, over the House, over the governors—over everybody.” It was a moment in history. NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya looked directly at the parents in the room. “What this report says, which is that our kids will live less long, less healthy and more unhappy lives that we will as parents... We can't have that.” He paused, then added, “I’m so proud to be part of this moment because that doesn't have to be the future.” “We can change things by doing excellent gold, standard science, understanding the root causes of all these problems, reversing it.” Then he looked at the president and said: “Mr. President, this is an enormously important moment because, it's from this moment forward, we will reverse course.” And with that, he delivered a vision that few would forget: “So our kids will live longer than us, will live more healthy than us, and will be happier than we have been. Speaker 0: The industry itself, the processed food industry, has figured out all these ways to make food addictive without making it nutritious. So we're we're addicted to the the taste, and they have synthesized the taste. And but there's no nutrients in the food. So we're just getting bad food that's loaded with chemicals. A lot of them created in the laboratory that our bodies were not designed to metabolize.

What drove RFK Jr. to focus on health? "In 2003, my son developed severe food allergies overnight. After doctors had no answers, I began investigating environmental triggers myself." The medical establishment wasn't interested in his findings. https://t.co/9boRY2AYmD

On healthcare transparency, RFK Jr. has a clear vision: "We need incentives that are outcome-oriented. Doctors should get compensated for making people healthy, not ordering tests." When patients compare costs, hospitals can't hide markups. But transparency alone isn't enough. https://t.co/TWLL4qCnX9

Video Transcript AI Summary
The speaker asserts that individuals must take responsibility for their health, but the current healthcare system incentivizes expenditures rather than outcomes. Doctors are compensated for ordering more tests, creating a misalignment. The speaker advocates realigning incentives to compensate physicians for making patients healthy instead of ordering numerous tests. Some changes require statutory action, but others can be implemented within HHS and CMS. The speaker believes these changes will reduce costs and improve health outcomes.

Speaker 0: We all have to start taking responsibility for our own health, and we need incentives. Right now, we have incentives in our health system that incentivize expenditures. So they compensate people doctors for ordering more and more tests. And and and it's a misalignment. We need to realign the set the incentives so that it's outcome oriented so that you get compensated if you're a physician for actually making somebody healthy rather than ordering a battery of tests. That Oh, is yeah. Some of that is a statutory changes, but some of it we can do in HHS and in CMS. We're looking for every opportunity to do that, and I think that's what's gonna reduce cause and make people healthier.

What makes RFK Jr.'s approach different is his legal background: He doesn't just create regulations—he empowers enforcement. His team is hiring prosecutors instead of industry insiders to lead HHS divisions. For the first time, health violations will have consequences.

"I'm going to fight for every American to have informed choice and access to all health options," says RFK Jr. "Hyperbaric chambers, stem cells, chelation therapies – it should all be available for people who want them."

Why did Trump pick Kennedy? Not his famous name or environmental work. But his courage to challenge the pharma complex controlling our health agencies. https://t.co/BBDoPACv6A

"We cannot have a strong country if we have sick citizens," "President Trump wants to restore the American dream, but a healthy person has a thousand dreams. A person who is sick has only one."
