Germany's AFD party gains momentum as leader Alice Weidel addresses concerns about trust in the government, media, and judiciary. She attributes this to immigration, lockdown policies, vaccine issues, and a shift towards suspicion over the rule of law. Weidel's speech receives enthusiastic applause, marking the start of the AFD's election campaign.

@SaiKate108 - Kat A 🌸

If you wonder why Germany’s AFD party is gathering so much momentum look no further than this recent speech from their leader Alice Weidel. Significantly most Germans no longer trust their Government/Media/Judiciary. Weidel blamed this on unabated immigration, tyrannical policies during lockdown, illegal mandates and failure to take responsibility for the vaccine deaths and injuries. ‘The rule of law has been replaced by the rule of suspicion. And with that the door is open to everything that we can imagine and what we have thought we have long since left behind. And that’s why dear friends we haven’t been moving in the spectrum of left and right for a long time. We’ve been moving in the spectrum between freedom and totalitarianism.’ Her speech was met with rapturous applause 👏

Speaker 0: Unglaublichen Vertrauensverlust konfrontiert.

@BenjaminLaepple - BenLppl

@BenjaminLaepple - BenLppl

Siehe u.a. MIDEM (2023) 👇 2/ https://t.co/eeVst3z2IG

@BenjaminLaepple - BenLppl

Like it or not, der 🐘 im Raum ist Zuwanderung. Merz zum Hauptfeind zu machen ist gaga. 3/ https://t.co/3xy17pA2Uv

@BenjaminLaepple - BenLppl

@BenjaminLaepple - BenLppl

@BenjaminLaepple - BenLppl

Terror-Management-Theory oder diverse Autoritarismus-Konzepte (u.a. RWA, SDO). 6/ https://t.co/NvlyqDZjWN

@BenjaminLaepple - BenLppl

/end

@BenjaminLaepple - BenLppl

I wish I could express my shock and say, what are the odds of this happening again within such a short span of time? But the truth is, this is just as expected. And in fact, I have been warning you that it was going to happen again very soon. Because as long as nothing changes, But but no real change? Do you want to know why the establishment party still reject the AFD's immigration control proposals in the parliament so vehemently because they have to gaslight you, because the AFD's inevitable long term. And so all they are doing right now is they are trying to extend their period, their term of government control, fully aware that in the future, you too are going to vote for the AfD. So why do you let them extend the suffering of the victims? Why do you let them gaslight you? Why can't you be brave and vote for the AFD now while we still have a chance? Because what you need to realize is that you could be next. Your family, your children, your sister, your mother, they could be next. Face the truth. The AFD would dominate in the polls if they were not burdened by the Nazi stigma. And who put the stigma there? The media and the establishment parties. The Merkel Merz CDU party needs the AFD to be vilified in order to cover up their own corruption. And the years of treason that they committed against you by ignoring your place and pushing this migration crisis on you. Instead of preventing the next terror attack and the next stabbing and the next rape. They discuss how to avoid having to pass laws together with the AfD. That is anti democratic. That is a mass betrayal of the people. The media and the public perception do everything in their power to brainwash you into thinking that you are a Nazi if you vote for the AfD. Vice president JD Vance was heavily criticized in Munich yesterday at the security conference where he gave a mind blowing speech that offended the entire establishment. Because according to the media and the establishment parties, he did not actually speak about Germany's security concerns. But, hell, yes, he did. He spoke about the threat to the German people's safety, but, apparently, the people's safety is a concept that the German establishment is not so familiar with. He was more concerned about Germany's people's free speech and not exactly the threat to the security of the establishment itself because I think they are doing quite well just by themselves. We don't need to protect these establishment overlords. We need to protect the German people whose very existence is under threat of being eliminated in this emergency asylum fraud crisis. The truth is only the AfD can save Germany. So please get over your Nazi stigma fears and make the right decision. Germany needs you. Your family needs you. I'm addressing Jan Bilerman, criticizing his New York Times video portraying the AFD as a Nazi party supported by Elon Musk. I believe Jan is out of touch with the suffering of German citizens due to economic collapse and migrant crime, exacerbated by the current government. While Jan acknowledges the importance of remembering the Holocaust, he seems to have forgotten that restricting free speech was a key Nazi propaganda tool. His version of equality is socialist equity, where some are more equal than others, and his idea of liberty is dictating acceptable free speech. He fears the AFD because he fears the German people regaining authority over the government. Only the AFD can save Germany from his elitist vision. Remember, pride comes before the fall, and I'm ready to watch his empire crumble.

Speaker 0: And so we meet again Jan Bilerman. Speaker 1: Bouten tag from Germany, the country that needs saving according to Elon Musk. Speaker 0: You narcissistic little weasel sucking taxes out of German's pockets to support your sub mediocre comedy career on mainstream TV went to the New York Times to tell the world in a nine minute video that the AFD is a Nazi party supported by the Nazi King himself, Elon Musk. Apparently you thought you could be the left wing equivalent to me and tell the world about your or rather your establishment sponsors' judgment of German politics to the international audience. But the difference between you and me, Jan Buhlmann, is that you are on the losing side. Speaker 1: Our German extreme right party, the AFD, is projected to win almost every fifth vote in our national election this February. Should the rest of the world be worried about a big German fascist comeback? Yes. That's the space in which the AFD operates. They can say and do Nazi things as long as they aggressively deny that anyone was ever a Nazi. It's like giving the Hitler salute in front of a large crowd of right wing extremists while denying being a Nazi. How Speaker 0: much did they have to pay you to strip yourself of your dignity and express how much you hate your own heritage, your country that is giving you the privileges you enjoy today. I know you love the attention that's why you're enslaving yourself to the mainstream narrative because you still think that a spot in the mainstream media is worth this humiliation ritual that you are currently performing for the New York Times? Do you seriously think that you're providing any sort of positive contribution to the world by telling us, the German people, that we are just pieces of dog shit under your shoes? Germany's middle class citizens are suffering from the economic collapse and the skyrocketing migrant crime rates under the Olaf Scholz government, far left and eco Marxist. But you are so out of touch with reality in your privileged bubble that you couldn't care less about the very people whose taxes are supporting your pathetic existence. Speaker 1: Every day, twenty four seven, for now eighty years, we've been telling ourselves never again. Remembrance of the Holocaust is everywhere in Germany, a country stacked with memorials, memorials, memorials, memorials, just in case we forget to never forget. Unfortunately, never again didn't come with a manual on how to never again. Speaker 0: You actually made a good point when you said that never forget didn't come with a manual on how to never forget, but I think you forgot. And all the memorials and virtue signaling will not make up for the fact that people like you are promoting the destruction of our free speech and mandatory tax funded propaganda. It sounds a lot like what Josef Goebbels said about wanting to take over the entire broadcasting service to mandate the narrative that should be shoved on our throats. Apparently, you forgot that the restriction of free speech was the Nazis' strongest propaganda tool. You fit right in. Speaker 1: It's a narrative that seems to be successful all over the world. We aren't Nazis. We just don't fully support liberty, equality, and the rule of law. Speaker 0: When you say you want equality, what you mean is socialist equity. What you mean is some animals are more equal than others, one of those most equal animals being you. When you say you want liberty, what you mean is you want to be able to dictate what counts as liberty and acceptable free speech, but no one else can. When you say you're scared of the AFD's authoritarianism, what you mean is you are scared of the German people, the voters having authority over you and the government again and not the other way around. You are scared of democracy being independent from propaganda. And that's why only the AFD can save Germany from your aristocratic, elitist, narcissistic, egomaniacal version of Germany that benefits only you and the self proclaimed elitists and experts that you surround yourself with. Let's end on a German saying: Hochmut komt vor den Feil Pride comes before the fall and I love to watch your empire fall.

Germany has resumed Afghan refugee flights, bringing 155 individuals to Berlin after a temporary halt during the election period. The CDU and SPD, having navigated a rise in AfD support, approved the move, with 3,000 more refugees waiting in Islamabad. Since 2021, Germany has accepted 48,000 Afghan refugees, costing taxpayers significantly. 🚨🇩🇪GERMANY RESTARTS AFGHAN REFUGEE FLIGHTS IN POST ELECTION U-TURN Germany’s back in the Afghan refugee game, landing 155 in Berlin yesterday after a sly election-time pause. The CDU and SPD, fresh off dodging an AfD surge, greenlit the move, with 3,000 more queued up in Islamabad - part of 48,000 taken since 2021, costing taxpayers hundreds of millions. The halt came after brutal attacks by Afghan nationals - like the rampage in Munich, killing 2 and injuring 28, or the Aschaffenburg daycare stabbings that killed a toddler. The Interior Ministry blamed 'logistics,' but critics smell political optics. Ex-Interior Minister Horst Seehofer once admitted some evacuees were rapists and on terror watchlists. Yet, CDU’s Friedrich Merz, once hawkish, now shrugs, 'No one wants closed borders.' Source: ZeroHedge

The ball is now in Friedrich Merz's court, he has the task of forming a government, he is going to meet with us, he will also make offers as to what the future of our country would look like and we have clear expectations as Social Democrats." CDU/CSU won 28.5% of the vote, while SPD got 16.4%. Together, they could form a government—but only if they agree on key issues like pensions, investments, and economic growth. Despite past admissions of some evacuees being problematic, CDU’s Friedrich Merz stated that closed borders are not desired.

🚨🇩🇪 SPD TO CDU: DROP AfD ALLIANCE OR FORGET A COALITION Germany’s Social Democrats (SPD) have a clear message for the Christian Democrats (CDU): No coalition unless CDU leader Friedrich Merz changes his approach and distances himself from AfD-backed policies. SPD co-leader Lars Klingbeil: "Our expectations are clear, we would like to see from Merz to clearly change his course and also his tone and, and demonstrate how we can work together in these difficult times. Merz wants a deal before Easter (April 20-21), but SPD isn’t budging. Source: ZDF

Since WWII, Germany's liberal democracy has held. Now, it's on the brink. The government censors, spies on, and persecutes critics. And, today, it laid the groundwork to ban the nation's most popular political party, the AfD. My exclusive interview with one of its leaders. https://t.co/K6zxu4j2YQ

Today’s White House press briefing was a showdown, with Karoline Leavitt taking on media narratives aimed at undermining Trump. She swiftly countered claims about Trump’s Middle East trip and trade deal with the UK, asserting his commitment to public service and the legitimacy of the agreements. When challenged on the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the firing of the Librarian of Congress, she defended the administration's actions with clarity. Leavitt's responses showcased a decisive shift in handling media scrutiny.

This was a SMACKDOWN. The media came to the White House press briefing today armed with networks talking points. They came to spin, smear, and sabotage Trump’s latest moves. But Karoline Leavitt was ready—locked, loaded, and armed with the truth. She didn’t just clap back… She torched their entire narrative on live TV. 🧵THREAD

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

👆And don’t forget to bookmark this thread—because what you’re about to see is a masterclass in media narratives crumbling in real time. These moments won’t make it to the mainstream. Let’s break it down.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

The media onslaught began the moment Karoline Leavitt opened the floor at the White House press briefing. One reporter wasted no time, suggesting Trump’s upcoming trip to the Middle East was less about diplomacy and more about personal business. He hasn’t even landed in Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., or Qatar—but they were already implying he was using the presidency for private gain. “Is the president planning to meet with folks involved with any of the family businesses over there?” the reporter asked. Leavitt cut the question off before it could gain steam. “Not to my knowledge,” she said. Then she fired back at the entire narrative. “I think it’s frankly ridiculous that anyone in this room would even suggest that President Trump is doing anything for his own benefit.” She reminded the room what Trump gave up to serve the country—twice. “He left a life of luxury and a life of running a very successful real estate empire for public service. Not just once, but twice.” And she made it clear why the American people sent him back to the White House. “The American public reelected him back to this White House because they trust he acts in the best interests of our country and putting the American public first.” Leavitt then highlighted what the media never admits: “This is a president who has actually lost money for being president of the United States.” She ended with a pointed comparison. “I don’t remember these types of questions being asked of my predecessor about a career politician who was clearly profiting off of this office.”

They claim he left a life of luxury and a successful real estate empire for public service, not just once, but twice, and the American public reelected him because they trust he acts in the country's best interest. The speaker asserted that Trump has lost money being president. They don't recall similar questions being asked of the previous president, a career politician who was allegedly profiting off the office. The speaker maintains that President Trump does not do this, and the White House holds itself to the highest ethical standards.

I think it's frankly ridiculous that anyone in this room would even suggest that president Trump is doing anything for his own benefit. He left a life of luxury and a life of running a very successful real estate empire for public service, not just once, but twice. And again, the American public reelected him back to this White House because they trust he acts in the best interest of our country and putting the American public first. This is a president who has actually lost money for being president of The United States. I don't remember these same type of questions being asked of my predecessor about a career politician who was clearly profiting off of this office. That is not what president Trump does, and this White House holds ourselves to the highest of ethical standards.

Next came the spin on Trump’s trade deal with the UK. Fox News correspondent Jacqui Heinrich tried to downplay the deal’s legitimacy—suggesting it wasn’t real or ready. “Why did the White House announce this deal with the U.K. before all of the details were finished?” Leavitt and Heinrich already have a history of sparring. Leavitt cut through it instantly. “That’s not true. Actually, I saw the fact sheet.” And she wasn’t just reading summaries. “I saw the deal as well, before the president brought all of you in the Oval Office in the effort of transparency. You had the president and the Prime Minister on the phone talking to all of you directly about how this was a great deal, a phenomenal deal.” Then she broke it down, step by step. “You set an initial agreement, you set the framework, you set up the deal, and then, of course, you know, T’s have to be crossed and I’s have to be dotted—but this deal is a good deal.” Heinrich tried again—this time about tariffs. Leavitt stood firm. “The president is committed to the 10% baseline tariff, not just for the United Kingdom, but for his trade negotiations with all other countries as well, permanently, even after the deals are done. Like, that is going to remain.” Every attempt to twist the facts was met with clarity—and strength.

The White House announced the deal with the UK because the deal was complete, contrary to claims. The president and prime minister spoke about the phenomenal deal, and discussions will continue. Trade deals involve an initial agreement, framework, and deal, followed by finalizing details. The numbers are determined, and market access will remain. The president is committed to a 10% baseline tariff, not just for the UK, but for all trade negotiations with other countries. The president is determined to continue with the 10% baseline tariff permanently, even after the deals are done.

Speaker 0: Why did the White House announce this deal with The UK before all of the details were finished? Speaker 1: That's not true, actually. I, saw the fact sheet. I saw the deal as well, before the president brought all of you in the Oval Office in the effort of transparency. You have the president and the prime minister on the phone talking to all of you directly about how this was a great deal, a phenomenal deal, and discussions will continue. But as I spoke to our ambassador Greer yesterday, this is how trade deals work. You set an initial agreement, you set the framework, you set up the deal, and then of course, you know, dot, t's have to be crossed and i's have to be dotted. But this deal is a good deal, and the numbers are determined and all of the market access that I just discussed will remain. Speaker 0: Does that mean that the 10% baseline is going to still be there at the end when all of the other details are ironed out? Speaker 1: The president is committed to Speaker 0: the 10% baseline tariff not just for Speaker 1: The United Kingdom, but for his trade negotiations with all other countries Speaker 0: as Speaker 1: well. Speaker 0: Permanently, even after the deals are done. Like, that is going to remain? The president is determined to continue with that 10% baseline tariff. I just spoke to him about it earlier.

Then the gloves really came off. A reporter tried to corner Leavitt over the administration’s plan to dismantle the Consumer Product Safety Commission. She even tried to make it personal. “This is the federal agency, independent one, that does recalls and is responsible for product safety.” “Does the administration not believe that it’s important, you know, to keep toys and cribs, I mean, you’re a young mom…” Leavitt didn’t waste a second. “Within which branch? It’s the executive branch. Who’s the head of the executive branch?” And with that, she delivered the knockout. “The president of the United States. He has the right to fire people within the executive branch. It’s a pretty simple answer.” She was cooked and she knew it.

The last shot came over Trump’s firing of Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden. “The president fired the Librarian of Congress. Why did he choose to do that?” Leavitt didn’t flinch. “We felt she did not fit the needs of the American people. There were quite concerning things that she had done at the Library of Congress in the pursuit of DEI and, putting inappropriate books in the library for children.” There is a new administration in charge, and this time there are principles. “And we don’t believe that she was serving the interests of the American taxpayer well, so she has been removed from her position, and the president is well within his rights to do that.” Four battles. Four clean takedowns. And the message was clear: the days of media gotcha games are over.

I report that several German banks are freezing AfD-linked accounts, claiming “banking secrecy.” AfD calls it political debanking—a financial weapon to punish opposition to immigration and traditional values. The moves span cities, affecting party donations and officials’ personal banking. Germany’s intelligence labeled AfD “far-right” for opposing gender ideology and open borders, effectively criminalizing dissent. When democracy means freezing opponents’ bank accounts, its meaning is questioned.

🇩🇪 GERMAN BANKS FREEZE AfD ACCOUNTS IN ESCALATING CRACKDOWN ON DISSENT Multiple German banks are shutting down accounts linked to AfD, now the country’s largest opposition party, without explanation, citing “banking secrecy.” AfD leaders call it political debanking, a financial weapon to punish opposition to illegal immigration and defense of traditional values. This isn’t isolated: from Berlin to Düsseldorf, accounts are vanishing, including party donations and personal banking for elected officials. Behind it all, Germany’s intelligence service labeled AfD “far-right” for challenging gender ideology and open-border policies, effectively criminalizing dissent. When “democracy” means freezing your opponents' bank accounts, maybe it’s not democracy anymore. Source: Euronews

🇩🇪 AfD MEP DEFIES CRITICS - HE’S GOING TO SOCHI FOR BRICS CONGRESS German MEP Hans Neuhoff from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party just dropped a geopolitical bomb: He’s attending the upcoming BRICS congress in Sochi, despite fierce criticism from Berlin’s ruling bloc. Neuhoff: “Politicians from the CDU/CSU bloc who think we should ignore BRICS understand nothing about geopolitics. They are leading Germany and Europe into a dead end, not a prosperous future.” There's a growing rift in Germany over how to approach the BRICS+ alliance - now seen by some as a counterweight to Western dominance and by others as a threat to transatlantic unity. By showing up in Sochi, Neuhoff is signaling that parts of Europe’s conservatives are ready to pivot eastward, betting on multipolar cooperation over loyalty to Washington and Brussels. This could widen the fault line inside the EU: pro-Western orthodoxy vs. nationalist pragmatism - and the BRICS stage in Russia might just be where that divide becomes impossible to ignore.
