New York City libs PANIC after Mayor declares State of Emergency over migrants dropped off by Gov. DeSantis and Gov. Abbott

Video Transcript AI Summary
Mayor Eric Adams has requested a federal state of emergency and for Massachusetts to do the same as asylum seekers flood their states and sanctuary cities. The cost of the migrant crisis in New York City is $12 billion over three fiscal years, with $383 per family seeking shelter and services each day. Mayor Adams is set to meet with Tom Perez, one of Biden's top aides, but New Yorkers are frustrated that non-residents and non-citizens are receiving more help than locals. Border states like Texas and Arizona argue that they have been dealing with this issue for years. The city is expanding into any available space, such as a tent city at a hospital in Queens and converting turf fields into shelters. This has impacted thousands of students who rely on the fields for sports and mental health.

Speaker 0: As the day progresses. All of this, this overflow has prompted mayor Eric Adams to ask for a federal state of emergency and for Massachusetts to declare one as asylum seekers flood their states and sanctuary cities. Leadership pleading for help as the tab runs up. Speaker 1: If we don't get the one. Support we need. New Yorkers could be left a $12,000,000,000 bill. Speaker 0: One. That $12,000,000,000 bill, that's the cost for 3 fiscal years. At the current rate, the migrant crisis lost New York City $383 per family seeking shelters and services each day. With 57,300 individuals in our care, work. The city says that's a price tag of $9,800,000 each and every day. A day after that public cry for help directed at the federal a warning. We are learning that mayor Adams is set to meet today with Tom Perez, one of Biden's top aids, but it might be a little too late. New Yorkers are frustrated that non residents and non citizens are getting so much help when there are New Yorkers suffering. Protesters shared as much one outside of a hospital in Queens that is set to become a tent city for migrants. Take a listen. Speaker 2: This whole thing is only gonna is gonna snowball, Speaker 3: one. Because the schools are gonna open Speaker 4: in about 2 weeks. Alright? Speaker 2: And we're totally unprepared to handle that. Speaker 5: Look behind us, there's a park. Speaker 6: One. There's a YMCA there. We have a charter school behind us, a preschool on the side. Speaker 7: This is outrageous. They have put in Speaker 1: non American before American. One. Speaker 0: But as the bluest of blue states and cities complain, border states like Texas and Arizona say, this is what we've been dealing with for years. One. The situation on the ground here though, guys, like I said, hundreds arriving each and every day and the city expanding into whatever space they can find. 10 city at that hospital in Queens. I was out on Randall's Island converting 4 turf fields into a 2,000 person shelter, city turning anywhere they can, one, but the residents here are very frustrated with that sanctuary city status and what it means in practice. I'll send it back to you Matt. What does that mean for the kids who soccer out there? That's a great question Ainsley. So actually met a coach that showed up to practice on those field and he didn't know what he would do. New York, not a space with a lot of green space. So you have to get permits, you have to get specific time slots. So he says each field is thousands of kids. So essentially taking 4 offline, you're impacting minimum 4,000 students in New York that desperately we need green space for their mental health, for running around, for sports, and that's now gone. Speaker 8: Right. NYU, I think practice is there too. Speaker 9: Yeah. NYU, I think a lot of college teams, it's Believable. Speaker 0: Everyone I know that has a child in sports, they go to Randalls Island to play. Speaker 7: It's all about priority.

SANCTUARY CITY UPDATE: Services for taxpayers in NY will be cut drastically in order to pay for illegals. These budget cuts reduce the number of police officers and reduce spending on education by $1 billion. More on the way, Mayor Adams adds. https://t.co/A3sghpDMrZ

In recent months, our administration has delivered for New Yorkers with increased jobs and decreased crime. However, we face fiscal challenges due to the asylum seeker crisis and the ending of COVID-19 stimulus funding. Without timely action from state and federal partners, tough choices will need to be made. We have already reduced city-funded spending by 5% and balanced the budget without disrupting services or raising taxes. But we still have a $7 billion budget gap and may need to make further cuts. We need to unite as a city and ask Albany and Washington DC for support. Despite the challenges, we will come back stronger, as that is the New York City way.

Speaker 0: My fellow New Yorkers, in recent months, our administration has delivered for you over and over again. Jobs are up. Crime is down. And every day, we're delivering for working people. But for months, you've heard me talk about the fiscal challenges Our city is facing as the course of the asylum seeker humanitarian crisis have skyrocketed, placing great strain on our budget. At the same time, COVID nineteen stimulus funding is sunsetting. We have been clear that without significant timely action From our state and federal partners, we will be forced to make some tough choices. As we have made these hard choices, The well-being of New Yorkers has always been our top priority. We have not only managed taxpayer dollars responsibly and balance the budget as required by law, but we have done so while minimizing disruption to the services New Yorkers rely on. In September, we directed every city agency to reduce city funded spending by 5%. Since then, every agency has found savings with minimum disruption to services and no tax increases. Our efforts were successful. Today, we are delivering our November financial plan update with a balanced budget just like you and your families must do when you sit down at your kitchen table and pay your bills every month. But while we succeeded, make no mistake, we are not out of the woods. We added 1,000,000,000 of dollars to care for the migrants. COVID funding is sunsetting. And we must close a $7,000,000,000 budget gap in the coming fiscal year. That is the reality we are facing. And if circumstances don't change dramatically, city agencies will be forced to reduce city funding spending by 5% 2 more times within the next 6 months. That would mean disruptions to the services we all rely on. We cannot afford to be divided as a city in this moment. We must come together to speak with 1 voice to Albany and Washington DC to get the support we need. We urge you to join us in that call. I have been in this city through good times and difficult times. Despite the challenges ahead of us, we will continue to come back stronger because that is the New York City way.

The post questions the city's stance as a welcoming Sanctuary City.

BREAKING: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says "the entire country" is "now at stake" because of illegal immigration. Gee, if only there was a group of people saying this for years on end. In a desperate plea for funding from the federal government, Johnson said that "it won’t just be the city of Chicago that won’t be able to maintain this mission. It’s the entire country that is now at stake." "We have roughly 15,000 people living in shelters, temporary shelters, here in Chicago... 27 shelters total. And 4,500 children in our Chicago public schools system, providing health care." What happened to being a welcoming Sanctuary City?

We appreciate the technical support and work authorization from the federal government. Without significant investment, not just Chicago but the entire country will struggle to maintain this mission. However, the state of Texas is not helping the cause. While we acknowledge the challenges at the border and the need for immigration reform and a pathway to citizenship, sending buses all over Illinois and the country is reckless and dangerous.

But in no way, what the state of Texas is is helping the cause. As much as we recognize that there are challenges, significant challenges at the border and we do need real immigration reform, and policies that allow us to have a structure and a pathway to citizenship. But again, sending buses all over the State of Illinois and all over the country is reckless and quite frankly is dangerous.

🚨BREAKING:Mayor Coffman claims that Aurora has become a "victim of failed federal border policy" after a video showing an armed Venezuelan gang in a local apartment goes viral. https://t.co/m9v9HFEeHS

Video Transcript AI Summary
The mayor of Aurora, Colorado, confirmed that Venezuelan gangs have taken over several buildings owned by out-of-state entities. The mayor is investigating how a concentration of Venezuelans came to be in these buildings, suggesting federal agencies may have been involved. These gangs have reportedly pushed out property management through intimidation and are collecting rents. A task force of local, state, and federal law enforcement is conducting ongoing operations, and arrests have been made. The mayor stated that Venezuelan migrants conducting organized crime are a problem, regardless of formal gang affiliation. He believes Aurora is a victim of failed border policy, as Venezuela does not share criminal histories with the U.S., and inadequately vetted migrants were released into the country. Aurora tried to avoid expending public funds on the migrant crisis, but has been drawn into the situation. The mayor confirmed a video showing gang members intimidating tenants. A gang leader known as "Cookie Monster" has been apprehended and is in custody. Beyond the gang issue, the mayor is concerned about the lack of work permits for migrants, potentially leading to desperate actions. Federal authorities are involved in addressing the situation.

Speaker 0: Aurora, Colorado. Mayor, thank you very much for for coming on with us. It seems it's tough to even get some confirmation of the details of what is going on there. First off, can you confirm whether or not this gang has taken over these buildings there in Aurora? Speaker 1: So there are several buildings, actually under the same ownership, out of state ownership, that have, fallen to, these Venezuelan gangs. We're I'm trying to walk it back and do the and do the the investigation as to how the there's a concentration of Venezuelans, in these these three buildings. Somebody put them there and somebody funded it. Whether it's federal government or not, we're trying to find out who these gangs apparently are are attracted to where there's a concentration of of, Venezuelan migrants. And so, they've in fact have kinda pushed out the property management through intimidation and then collected the rents. We have now, or have had, it is ongoing, operations, with a task force of local law enforcement, state law enforcement partners, and and federal law enforcement partners, to rip the mark and and arrest have been made, but these operations are now are still ongoing. Speaker 0: With the arrests that have been made, are these confirmed gang affiliated members? Speaker 1: You know, they, yeah, the this is an organized criminal effort, whether it's, that remains to be to be seen, but it really doesn't matter. I mean, if they're if they're, you know, Venezuelan migrants and they're and they're conducting crime in an organized manner that they're a problem. Speaker 0: So okay. So you're able to confirm that they this this Venezuelan gang has indeed taken over at least some of the buildings. You're saying at least 2 of the 3. And what I just heard from you is you don't know how they ended up there. And you even made a suggestion that they could have been sent there by by, like, by federal officials, I heard you suggest. I mean, do you have any reason to believe that to be the case? Speaker 1: So here's the here's the problem. I I think we're a victim of of a failed policy at the southern border because, what you have I Venezuelan does not according to to my law enforcement, Venezuela does not cooperate with the United States in sharing criminal histories. You've had a third of the country leave. You've had these massive waves of of migrants coming across the border that that many of them crossed the border illegally, were arrested, asked for political asylum, were not adequately vetted. We were released into the country. The city of Aurora, we did everything we could to to to, quite frankly, keep them out of out of the city because it's not our problem. This is a federal problem. This is a problem, borne by the federal government. But what I think what we're trying to to find out and what I believe occurred was that agent federal agencies worked with some of our local nonprofits, and put them there. Now most of these people are very good. Good people. But there there's a criminal element that from what I understand, what law enforcement is referring to that often follows them, and tends to exploit them within their own migrant community. And so we believe that that is happening, now. Now it's we're the 51st largest city in America. We're with over 400,000 population. This is only several apartment complexes. Speaker 0: Yeah. Speaker 1: But, nonetheless, I'm not gonna surrender any part of this city to a criminal element. Speaker 0: With all due respect, it's no longer, I mean, just in the hands of the feds when you've got, we've heard reports that this gang has greenleted its members to attack your local police. What are you doing about that, mayor? Speaker 1: Well, you know, we're aware of that in the Denver metropolitan area that that there are, elements of, here. And so, you know, we're in terms of how our police operate, the tactics that that what they're what they're doing to protect themselves, is is, you know, is is our number one priority? Speaker 0: I mean, I think about how Aurora tried to position themselves versus Denver in all of this with Denver being the Denver's the sanctuary city status in a way. Correct? And Aurora sort of Speaker 1: tried to Denver is yeah. Denver's historically been a sanctuary city. Speaker 0: Yeah. Speaker 1: Aurora has not. And that's why we, you know, we took the position again that we were not going to expend any public dollars, on this migrant car prices, nor would we be a conduit for state or federal dollars to to provide assistance. Not our problem, federal problem, border issue. They need to resolve it, not us. But somehow, we we got sucked into this, and and and we are a victim again of of of this policy that Speaker 0: we need to be That's a big that's a big somehow, and I would expect that you're probably very personally trying to get down to the bottom of that. When we watch this video, we've had this video playing all day on our network. We we we started airing it obviously earlier today, and our viewers obviously see this and think complete shock that this would be this is apparently have you confirmed that the people on anything about the people on the screen, this building? Can you tell us anything about this video and what we're seeing? Speaker 1: Well, yeah. It's, it's that intimidation factor. We've got, you know, Venezuelan gang members who who have gone into an apartment complex, that that where there's a concentration of of Venezuelans, and pushed out the property management through intimidation, and and now they're intimidating, the the tenants there to to pay them, the rent and and probably, extort other things from them. And so it's a it's a terrible situation, certainly not the whole city. It's it's 3 apartment complexes, but it's very serious nonetheless. And, we so, hopefully, we're gonna be able to. It's it's hard. What the challenge is in part that you have, this is sorta this is unfortunately part of the the fabric of of Venezuela where you have, you know, the police in Venezuela are only there, to protect the government. They're not there to protect the people. So there's so much criminality. Wow. And and, unfortunately, some of that has come up with the migrants here, and, and we are confronting it. And so, it's it's a again Yeah. Speaker 0: Just a last question on that point, Speaker 1: confronting it. Speaker 0: I I know I know you're a busy guy, and I know we'll let you go get going because you've got a a huge, problem to tackle there in Aurora. Just finishing up with this cookie monster gang leader, so he's called. Okay? The New York Post has reported on him setting up operations right there in your town, mayor. Cookie monster is there. I mean, this guy's this guy's responsible for some heinous crimes. I mean, what are you actively doing right now to get a hold of him and arrest him? Speaker 1: He's he's been arrested. He's off the street. Speaker 0: He that would be news. He's gone. He's off the street. Where is he? Speaker 1: Right. He's he's in he's being held the he's being held. He's he's been apprehended. Speaker 0: I would imagine he'd be a huge source of information as to how this gang ended up in your town. Speaker 1: Well, I think it it is beyond that. It's how did this whole community end up on our town? Because I'm very con I'm concerned beyond the gang issue. There's a secondary issue. In the secondary issue, desperate people do desperate things. And you've got this whole the this all these migrants coming up, the Venezuelan migrants don't have access to, you know, they have a legal status in the country pending their asylum claims, but they don't have access to work permit for 6 months after they're here. And so, so there there are some secondary issues that we're real concerned about, but right now, the priority, is this gang issue. Speaker 0: And the feds are involved. Correct? Speaker 1: The feds are

Colorado is a marijuana hub, and Denver's Mayor Mike Johnston is enthusiastic about illegal immigration. Recently, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela was charged with a serious crime involving a minor, raising concerns about safety. Since 2022, over 40,000 undocumented immigrants have arrived in Denver, straining schools and taxpayer resources. Mayor Johnston and Governor Jared Polis support this influx, emphasizing Denver's status as a sanctuary city. Johnston claims that citizens and the police will resist deportations, framing it as a stand for civil rights. He even likened the situation to a "Tiananmen Square moment," reflecting a controversial stance on immigration policies. The atmosphere in Denver appears increasingly contentious under his leadership.

Speaker 0: Colorado is a marijuana mecca. And if you listen to Denver mayor Mike Johnston, he sounds high on his own supply. Mike Johnston loves illegal aliens more than your dog would love a filet mignon. On Tuesday at Denver, an illegal from Venezuela was charged with raping his boss's 14 year old daughter in the basement of her home. So how did Jesus, Alberto, Peria, Castillo get access to his boss's basement? He was living there. Remember this the next time some gas bag tells you how vital illegal aliens are to the economy. Over 40,000 illegals have invaded Denver since 2022. Mike Johnston and Jared Polis love it. Schools are overwhelmed. Taxpayers are busted. Trende Aragua is thriving. And to keep the good times rolling, mayor Mike wants you to know that the citizens of Denver along with the Denver police department would be stationed at the city gates to block the Trump deportations. Denver is a proud sanctuary city. Mayor Mike wants America to know that, quote, we're not going to sell out those values to anyone. We're not going to be bullied into changing them. Mike Johnson is one of these politicians that likes to pretend that he's some nouveau civil rights activist. Activist. Mayor Mike said that citizens blocking the Trump deportations would be a, quote, Tiananmen Square moment. I'm sure Tim Walz agrees. These are delusional days in Denver with a mayor that sounds like he's a mile high.

Dear Tucsonans, I want to assure you that I am committed to keeping our community safe. I am deeply troubled by President-elect Trump's plans for mass deportation, which I find cruel and immoral. I will collaborate with our police chief to ensure our focus remains on protecting Tucsonans. We have a history of standing against hate and protecting families from separation. While we lack specific details on how deportations will be implemented, we know they will harm children, families, and immigrant communities. We are aware of Proposition 314, which is rooted in SB 1070, the "show me your papers" law. Tucson is a compassionate city that values our multi-racial heritage, and together, we will fight for justice.

The sheriff's office does not and will not take part in immigration raids or any federal law enforcement actions directed towards the immigrant community. Speaker 2: Very simple message. If you want a safe city, you must support a sanctuary city. Sanctuary city, the whole point, the whole purpose is to make sure that people feel safe, testifying to crimes and reporting crimes. So a safe city is a sanctuary city. And I wanna end by saying that immigrants built our nation, immigrants make our country better, and in San Francisco, we support and celebrate our immigrant community. Thank you. I'm here to address the recent attacks Donald Trump made against my community, Aurora, Colorado. His statements about migrants and refugees are based on lies and fear mongering, which aim to divide us. Public safety is a priority, and I collaborate closely with local law enforcement and community leaders to ensure our community's safety. Trump's claims of a "takeover" by immigrants and refugees are simply untrue. His words are distortions designed to create division, and I will always stand against such divisive rhetoric.

Speaker 0: Last night, Donald Trump once again attacked my community, the district that I'm proud to represent, Aurora, Colorado, you know, my home, and I just wanted to correct the record. He has told terrible lies about migrants and refugees. He uses fear mongering to divide our community and Americans against each other, and it's simply not true. I take public safety very seriously, and I work with local law enforcement and our community leaders to make sure that our community is always safe and no amount of crime is okay, but for him to attack immigrants and refugees in the way that he did and to say that there was some takeover of our community is false. Like so many of the things he did last night, they were lies and distortions meant to tear us apart and divide us against each other, and I'm always gonna push back against it.

🚨 BREAKING: New Yorkers are LIVID after Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced ILLEGAL ALIENS will get UNIVERSAL taxpayer-funded child care. “We are proud to be a sanctuary city… These programs are for ALL.” FAFO. New York COOKED itself. They’re about to LEARN the hard way! Should have deported him.

Video Transcript AI Summary
The speaker outlines inclusive programs intended for all New Yorkers, emphasizing that these programs will not inquire about anyone’s immigration status when enrolling children. The assertion is that all children, regardless of where they were born or come from, should be enrolled in pre-K and 3-K. The speaker also notes pride in being a sanctuary city, and proceeds to define what that means in practice for the city. According to the speaker, sanctuary city policies have existed for years and restrict ICE agents from accessing certain locations unless they present a judicial warrant signed by a judge. Specifically, the speaker states that ICE agents are denied entry into schools, hospitals, city properties, or the properties of city contractors without such a warrant. The speaker also claims that, in most instances, ICE does not present this kind of documentation. When documentation is presented, it tends to be an administrative warrant, and there are often times when no documentation is provided at all. In sum, the speaker emphasizes two core points: first, a commitment to universal enrollment for children in pre-K and 3-K without regard to immigration status or birthplace; and second, a declaration of sanctuary city protections that restrict ICE access to key city spaces unless a judicial warrant is provided, highlighting that the typical or actual documentation from ICE is frequently lacking or limited to administrative warrants. The overall message underscores protecting the rights of every New Yorker within the framework of sanctuary city policies and long-standing city practices designed to limit immigration enforcement actions in certain contexts.

Speaker 0: Clearly, these are programs for every single New Yorker. These are not programs that are going to ask the immigration status of any one of the children. All of those children are New Yorkers. They should all be enrolled in pre k and three k no matter where they were born or where they come from. And we are also proud to be a sanctuary city. What a sanctuary city means is that we have policies in place, policies that have existed for years in the city that deny ICE agents access into schools, hospitals, city properties, or even the properties of city contractors unless those ICE agents can present a judicial warrant signed by a judge. We know that the vast majority of the time, ICE agents are not presenting that kind of documentation. If they're presenting any documentation, it tends to be an administrative warrant, and oftentimes, there isn't any documentation even provided. So we want to make clear the rights of every New Yorker that they have in
