LIFE LONG SIDE EFFECTS OF PUBERTY BLOCKERS⬇️ How come nobody talks about them? “…Yet the evidence also shows that nearly all children whose gender dysphoria is treated with puberty blockers to ‘buy time’ will proceed to take cross-sex hormones and seek medical interventions…

Video Transcript AI Summary
The speaker highlights the negative outcomes and side effects of hormone medications used by transgender individuals. They mention that these medications can lead to disease states and adverse consequences. The transgender population has a shorter lifespan compared to the general population due to these medical problems. They also mention that transgender individuals become sterile and sexually incompetent, as their organs are affected by cross-sex hormones. Brain development in adolescence is adversely affected, and bone density is compromised, leading to frequent fractures in adulthood. The speaker argues that if these individuals had received counseling and followed the international standard of care, these diseases could have been avoided.

Speaker 0: First of all. That's the baseline of the horrific nature of the outcomes. On top of that, there is the side effects of the medications that create disease states that we have known about in medicine for as long as we've known about hormones and their effects, going back into the early 1920s and since. We know these disease states because we aggressively treat them to stop the adverse outcomes of excessive amounts of hormones that don't belong to the biologic sex of that body. And so we There's plenty of data in from top to bottom to show that every one of the drugs they're using has adverse consequences. The overall life span of the transgender population is half that of the U. S. Population. And it's just it's because they're creating medical problems that would not have otherwise existed. And these poor individuals not only are sterile, but they are sexually incompetent. They have no ability to have any real sexual function moving forward when their organs are fried by cross sex hormones, their brains are adversely affected with brain development in the adolescent age, Bone density is taken apart and they end up having frequent fractures in adulthood because of that. It's just a panoply of disease that otherwise would not have existed if the child had been counseled and walked through the process, which is the real international standard of care.

There is a discussion about the cost of putting kids on puberty blockers. Concerns are raised about the impact on bone density growth and mental development. A study is mentioned linking increased suicide risk post-transition. Elon Musk expresses plans to lobby against irreversible changes to children below the age of consent.

@TheRabbitHole84 - The Rabbit Hole

Yes, there is a cost to putting kids on Puberty Blockers. For example: - Bone density growth (on average) flatlines - "The teen’s bone density plummeted — as much as 15% in some bones — from average levels to the range of osteoporosis, a condition of weakened bones."

@jimjimmiejames - Jimmie

@TheRabbitHole84 is anyone studying mental development? How can it be safe to suppress hormonal development at that age but widely considered unhealthy to do certain activities like, go to a strip club?

@TheRabbitHole84 - The Rabbit Hole

@jimjimmiejames Increased suicide risk post-transition: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3043071/ @elonmusk also cited this study:

Long-Term Follow-Up of Transsexual Persons Undergoing Sex Reassignment Surgery: Cohort Study in Sweden The treatment for transsexualism is sex reassignment, including hormonal treatment and surgery aimed at making the person's body as congruent with the opposite sex as possible. There is a dearth of long term, follow-up studies after sex reassignment.To ... ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

@elonmusk - Elon Musk

@TheRabbitHole84 @jimjimmiejames This is a major problem. I will be actively lobbying to criminalize making severe, irreversible changes to children below the age of consent. Shame on those who advocate this! It is utterly contemptible.

Jazz Jennings, hailed as an icon by the trans lobby, has faced a tragic journey. Medical interventions have left Jazz sterile and unable to have a sex life. Mermaids, a UK lobby group, played a role in this. Jazz's story raises questions about coaching and the true nature of gender dysphoria. The use of puberty blockers, advocated by Mermaids, may not benefit the majority of kids. Blockers have cognitive impacts and worsen dysphoria. Jazz's surgeon admits that sexual function is compromised. The show "I Am Jazz" portrays a passionless existence. The plight of these mainly gay teenagers is a tragedy, highlighting the irony of a movement that once championed sexual freedom.

@TwisterFilm - Malcolm Clark

1./ The truth about Jazz I've written in @spikedonline about Jazz Jennings who the trans lobby claims is an icon. But his medicalisation has left Jazz sterile, mutilated and unable to have a sex life. Jazz isn't an icon of our era. He's a victim 1 of /11 https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/08/20/the-tragedy-of-jazz-jennings/

2./ Jazz is just one of hundreds of victims of the UK lobby group Mermaids whom Jazz's mother first consulted. She then took Jazz to see Marilyn Volker, a therapist who had been a sex surrogate. She had sex with her clients, and even married one of them. World class care, eh? https://t.co/UnqU46mZ4D

@TwisterFilm - Malcolm Clark

3./ Could Jazz's story have been a grift from the start? I stumbled upon this clip where Jazz introduces himself using his original name, Jaron, 2 years after he was supposed to have socially transitioned. Then he looks at the person who's filming as if he's being corrected. https://t.co/JBNUZ8CAkE

Speaker 0: Hi. My name is Karen, and I'm gonna be making a video. Will you So on that same birthday, I ordered a sewing machine. I bought some fabric, and I created my 1st fabric mermaid tail. It was a beautiful tale. I loved it so much. It was like my little baby I would wear every single time when I swam in the water, and it was just a magical experience.

@TwisterFilm - Malcolm Clark

4./ Jaron then says, "You can call me Jazz". It's almost as if the boy is being coached and isn't suffering from what his mother described as traumatic gender dysphoria. Or at least could have easily overcome it. Is the truth Jaron was just an effeminate little boy all along?

@TwisterFilm - Malcolm Clark

5./ At a conference in 1998 a Mermaids speaker admitted only a third of children exhibiting gender dysphoria "will grow up to be transgendered adults". Over a half would be gay, she said. And that was 25 years ago, before trans became the cause du jour! gender.org.uk/conf/1998/merm…

@TwisterFilm - Malcolm Clark

6./ Once puberty blockers became available Mermaids became Britain's foremost campaigners for their use. But if only a third of kids with dysphoria will become trans adults, two thirds of the kids who get medicalised are not receiving any so-called "benefit" from blockers.

@TwisterFilm - Malcolm Clark

7./ Even those who may become "trans" are being harmed. The cognitive impact of blockers appears to be major and irreversible. Young animals on blockers become more anxious and withdrawn. The Tavistock found they made gender dysphoria worse in many kids.

@TwisterFilm - Malcolm Clark

8./ Marci Bowers, Jazz's surgeon, has admitted that no child who goes on blockers at the "recommended time" will ever be able to sexually function properly or orgasm. Yep, thousands of kids are being deprived of their birthright to become a sexual adult. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuwOx9YdHXY&t=103s

@TwisterFilm - Malcolm Clark

9./ In 'I Am Jazz' producers have tried to engineer romances but at 21, Jazz has had only 3 brief, Platonic "affairs", one kiss, and no sex. In the latest series this is what passes for passion: a stilted chat about how unique Jazz is. Jazz has been exiled to a sexual desert. https://t.co/yPvh2Gelcr

10./ Why are so-called "trans kids" put through all this pain? Do parents and doctors harbour a strange subconscious disgust for effeminate boys and butch girls? Fluoride, a toxin added to our water, is claimed to prevent cavities, but the risks outweigh the benefits. Industry influence allows this practice to continue, despite evidence of neurological damage and reduced IQ. Aluminum and fluoride together pose even greater harm. Authoritative studies confirm fluoride's interference with brain function. Higher fluoride levels are linked to lower IQ in children. Concerns arise over fluoride supplementation in water and its association with ADHD. Babies fed formula mixed with fluoridated water also show lower IQ. Overwhelming evidence supports the detrimental effects of fluoride on intelligence.

@Inversionism - Inversionism

The Fluoride Deception - 2004 Fluoride is yet another example on an endless list of many showing how industry has completely captured regulatory institutions and allowed criminal corporations to poison our environment with an obscene toxin, and then manufacture science to tell us it's for our benefit and that we actually need it. The only argument justifying the use of fluoride in our water is that it prevents cavities (which it doesn't), and even if it slightly did, the risk of neurological damage and reduction in IQ far outweighs any of the supposed benefits. Adding it directly to the water that people cook with, shower with, or drink, is categorically insane on every level with the currently available science, and the fact that the water fluoridation practice still continues in most US cities is a testament to how negligent and malicious our government is, and how they don't actually care about the science, just the same as with vaccines. It's almost as if they want to lower intelligence and IQ because you become far easier to control and subjugate. Even worse, when you begin to understand the synergistic toxicities between aluminum and fluoride in the brain and the aluminofluoride complexes that can result from the continued exposure to both toxins, you begin to get an understanding of why there are so many people in the US who are still sleep walking into oblivion, staring at the shadows in the cave and thinking that they're real. So here are some facts from the Fluoride Action Network about it's neurotoxicity that hasn't stopped the government from poisoning our water supplies. 2006: The National Research Council published Fluoride in Drinking Water, the most authoritative review of fluoride’s toxicity. It stated unequivocally that “fluorides have the ability to interfere with the functions of the brain and the body.” 2012: A Harvard-funded meta-analysis found that children ingesting higher levels of fluoride tested an average 7 IQ points lower in 26 out of 27 studies. Most had higher fluoride concentrations than in U.S. water, but many had total exposures to fluoride no more than what millions of Americans receive 2017: A National Institutes of Health (NIH) - funded study3 found that every milligram per liter (1 mg/L) increase in fluoride in pregnant women’s urine – about the difference caused by ingestion of fluoridated water4 - was linked to a reduction of their children’s IQ by an average 5-6 points. Leonardo Trasande, MD, a leading physician unaffiliated with the study, said it “raises serious concerns about fluoride supplementation in water.” 2019: A Canadian study10 found a nearly 300% higher risk of ADHD for children living in fluoridated areas. This reinforced earlier studies linking fluoride to ADHD in Mexico (2018)11 and the U.S. (2015). 2019: Another NIH-funded study in Canada found that babies fed formula mixed with fluoridated water averaged 6 IQ points less than those mixed with non-fluoridated water. Losses of non-verbal IQ were even more serious, an average of 13 points 2023: The National Toxicology Program’s draft scientific review14 documented 52 out of 55 studies linked higher fluoride levels with lower IQs. Of the highest quality studies, 18 out of 19 found this link. “Several of the highest quality studies showing lower IQs in children were done in optimally fluoridated (0.7 mg/L) areas

Fluoride science has a history of being influenced by corporate interests, similar to DDT, asbestos, and tobacco. The book "The Fluoride Deception" by Christopher Bryson reveals the role of key individuals and institutions in shaping public policy on fluoride toxicity and water fluoridation. The book uncovers the connection between the aluminum industry and the suggestion to add fluoride to public water supplies. It also exposes the involvement of scientists like Harold Hodge and Robert Kehoe, who defended fluoride safety despite conflicts of interest. Edward Bernays, a pioneer in public relations, played a significant role in promoting fluoride to the American public. Opposition to fluoride has often been dismissed and marginalized. The book calls for questioning authority and advocating for change.

Speaker 0: Fluoride science is corporate science. Fluoride science is DDT science. It's asbestos science. It's tobacco science. It's a racket. Speaker 1: In July of 2004, Christopher Bryson sat down and discussed the findings of his new The Fluoride Deception with Paul Conant of the Fluoride Action Network. The Fluoride Deception was published by 7 Stories Press in May of 2004. The book is based on nearly 10 years of research by Bryson, An award winning journalist and former producer at the BBC. In this interview, we asked Bryson to introduce us To some of the important individuals and institutions which have played a role in shaping public policy on the toxicity of Fluoride and the purported safety of the controversial water fluoridation program. Speaker 0: In 1993, I was working at Rockefeller Center in New York as a radio producer for the BBC. And the I got a call from, London. There was a local, water fluoridation battle In the north of England, in Leeds and the producers, it was a daytime radio show, You and Yours was the name of the program And the producer said, Chris, what do you know about fluoride? What do the Yanks think about fluoride? Is there an American angle? And it was a very, You know, a familiar request to me is there an American angle to the story and I said, look, I don't know fluoride from a hole in the wall. I have no idea about Fluoride, but let me make a few phone calls to see if I can't help you out. And I, my first call is to Ralph Nader in Washington. And I'm not sure why I called Ralph Nader, but look it was a consumer issue. And, Mr. Consumer Ralph Nader, I thought let's give give him a call. And I got through And he said, look, I don't know a great deal about water fluoridation, but I've never had terribly good feelings about it. Here are the names of a couple of scientists, you ought to speak with, and he gave me the names of doctor William Hersey, who then and now is a chemist at the Environmental Protection Agency And, doctor Robert J. Carton, Bob Carton had been with EPA, but at that time was then over at the US Army. And I went down to Washington and met with Doctor. Hersey and Doctor. Carton, and they explained to me that the water, The safety standards for water fluoridation in this country were based are based on fraudulent science. Fluoride defenders will say there's 2 stories. There's the industrial story And there's the dental story and nerve the twain shall meet. It's not true. The stories are braided very tightly and very profoundly and Verbraided from the beginning, the very first suggestion that fluoride be added to public water supplies, was made By a researcher, Gerald Cox at the Mellon Institute in Pittsburgh, Cox became interested in fluoride Because of the suggestion of Francis Freire, that's the letter I uncovered. Francis Freire is the Director of the Aluminum Laboratory for the Aluminum Company of America, he is very concerned about Fluoride pollution around Aluminum plants, he's very concerned about what the fluoride is doing to the workers inside these aluminum plants, but his suggestion to Gerald Cox is to look at fluoride's dental effect. And it's upon the basis of that suggestion that, Gerald Cox makes His proposal to add fluoride to public water supplies right at the very source of the stream, you find the aluminum industry Cox's suggestion that we add fluoride to public water supplies needs to be understood for who was saying it and where he was saying it and what the track record of the Mellon Institute was. The Mellon Institute was a leading defender of asbestos for the asbestos industry. You know, today, industry are facing a tidal wave, a Crippling tidal wave of lawsuits from people who have been had their health damaged, who've been killed by, Asbestos. Well, for generations, the Mellon Institute produced research that said that mesothelioma was caused By something other than asbestos, that's how you have to understand, the fluoride issue. Industry was concerned about fluoride pollution And about lawsuits of a similar magnitude for Fluoride Pollution. So, it's no coincidence that the Mellon Institute makes the 1st suggestion that fluoride be added to public water supplies It's it's quite astonishing, Paul, the degree to which environmentalists Have not been educated about Fluoride, you know, and, now I'm a reporter. I'm not a scientist or a doctor. You know, I'm quoting Documents. I'm citing lawsuits when I refer to fluoride as a major, industrial air pollutants. In fact, the leading air pollutants, in the aftermath of the Cold War, those are not my words. That's not my opinion. That's a quantitative assessment By industry experts of the scale of the lawsuits that they were facing. The most notorious air pollution disaster in U. S. History was the Halloween, air pollution incident in Donora, Pennsylvania, a mill town south of Pittsburgh, a couple of dozen people and several 1,000 were injured, because of effluence coming from a US steel plant to a trapped by a temperature inversion. In the aftermath of those deaths, a researcher, Philip Sadler, a chemist, Philip Sadler investigated. He did blood analysis, and he measured high levels of fluoride in the blood Of some of the injured and the deceased he published that data along with data which found high levels of Fluoride in vegetation and a lot of other circumstantial evidence indicating fluoride poisoning. Sadler published his research In chemical and engineering news, but the public health service came in and said that, fluoride wasn't responsible. It was a mixture of air pollutants And bad weather that it caused a disaster. Well, I uncovered a memo, Paul, a memo from the Aluminum Company of America in which they had secretly Gotten blood from 1 of the deceased and their measurements were almost exactly the same measurements that Philip Sadler found. Laundering Fluorides role in the de novo pollution incident is really emblematic for what has happened for the last half century and an accounting for why environmentalists don't know their own history. Donora jump started the environmental movements, But environmentalists don't know that dronora was almost certainly caused by fluoride. Book is looks very hard at the role of a key scientist, doctor Harold Hodge, in the Fluoride debate. Doctor. Harold Hodge for most of the cold war was the leading, scientific defender of the safety of low doses of fluoride and the beneficial effects of water fluoridation. Effects of water fluoridation. Speaker 2: Doctor Harold Hodge, a distinguished toxicologist on the Rochester team has carefully investigated the safety A fluoridation. Speaker 3: Well, to put it very simply, fluoride is safe Speaker 0: No scientist word was Trusted more by the health establishment than doctor Harold Hodge when it came to fluoride. He was a very senior figure and Operated at the highest levels for almost all his scientific career. Speaker 3: This brings us back to the fundamental point. Florida is safe. And I think I can say in conclusion that there is no health hazard Speaker 1: that justifies postponing water fluoridation. Harold Hodge, Speaker 0: We now know was the, a co orchestrator of the human radiation experiments in which Citizens in hospitals, in Rochester and in Oak Ridge were injected with Plutonium, by scientists under Harold Hodge's direction. Speaker 1: And there's a whole book written about that. Speaker 0: That's right. We know about Harold Hodge, in part because of the work Of investigative reporters such as Eileen Wilson, who won a Pulitzer Prize for discovering the names of the people who had been injected with Plutonium. Harold Hodge's name surfaced in that book and surfaced in the subsequent presidential, inquiry into the human radiation experiments. You join the dots. If Harold Hodge and the University of Rochester are injecting people with plutonium and uranium And at the same time, they are reassuring us about fluoride safety. What's the connection? Speaker 1: So what was the connection? Howard Hodge was the chief ecologist of the Manhattan Project, the group of scientists and engineers who developed the atomic bomb in World War 2 and the early years of the Cold War. Hodge was responsible for investigating the toxicity of many of the chemicals used in the production of the Atomic bomb. And one of the chemicals of major concern was fluoride. Speaker 0: Manhattan Project needed enormous quantities of fluoride to make Nuclear weapons to make the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima. So the Manhattan Project were concerned about fluoride toxicity. The documents that I uncovered with Joel Griffiths in the files of the Manhattan Project and the Energy Commission are very clear and very explicit. The toxicology department at the University of Rochester, which was under the direction of Harold Hodge, was asked to come up with medical information that could help the government In lawsuits in which the United States Army and the US government were being charged with fluoride pollution. Speaker 1: As has now been revealed by declassified government documents, the publication of scientific information collected by Atomic Energy commission scientists such as Harold Hodge that could increase the chance of litigation against the bomb program by workers or downwind communities was forbidden. If water fluoridation was found to be harmful, Then the US bomb program, as well as many other fluoride polluting industries, would have been open to massive litigation. Speaker 0: So there's not a hope, that Harold Hodge would ever say that water fluoridation was dangerous or that fluoride in small doses was toxic because of Harold Hodge were to say that it would have pulled the rug out from under the US army and from under the, the project to build nuclear weapons. For people who know the history Of medicine and science in this country, you know, the Kettering Laboratory was at one time one of the largest private laboratories Dealing with issues of toxicity. It was a very well funded laboratory and its director, Robert Kehoe, was a very senior figure in the public health establishment. Today, we know Kehoe's name best for his career long defense of the safety of Adding lead to gasoline, Kehoe spent a professional lifetime from his pulpit at the Kettering Laboratory Assuring the nation that, lead added to gasoline was entirely safe, of course, that's been thoroughly discredited. The toll of health injuries, of neurological injury, injuries to children alone From adding lead to gasoline is almost incalculable. And, you know, for that, we really can thank, Doctor. Robert Kehoe. He soldier'd, on Ladd's behalf for his professional lifetime, and he did so being paid by, The Ethyl Corporation, who are the makers of Tetraethyl Lead. The same job that Robert Kehoe did laundering lead's image On industry's behalf, he did for fluoride. Kehoe, along with Harold Hodge, was a leading defender of fluoride safety in the workplace, and he also was a leading promoter of water fluoridation. Speaker 1: Robert Kehoe and the Kettering Institute, On behalf of industry and the National Institute of Dental Research, compiled an extensive bibliography of abstracts on fluoride Toxicity and the role of fluoride in public health. This work was funded by Alcoa, the Aluminum Company of Canada, the American Petroleum Institute, DuPont, Kaiser Aluminum, Reynolds Metals, United Steel, and many other corporate sponsors, As well as the National Institute of Dental Research. Speaker 0: If you go into the files of Doctor. Robert Kehoe at the Kettering Laboratory, you'll come across the existence Of a, hitherto unknown entity known as the Fluorine Lawyers Committee. And, Kehoe worked for the Fluorine Lawyers Committee at the University of Cincinnati, doing their bidding, Providing ammunition to the Fluorine Lawyers Committee, so that they could defend their corporate clients, Alcoa, DuPont, Monsanto, In Robert Kehoe's files, there is a medical study, which was a state of the art $100,000 study in which beagle, dogs were given Fluoride to breathe, in conditions which approximated the working conditions for men and women in the aluminum industry or in any fluoride industry. What happened to that Beagle study? The Beagle study, Paul, found that fluoride was profoundly toxic to the, laboratory animals. The Beagle dogs who breathe fluoride 6 days a week, just like workers had stupendous lung damage and damage to their lymph nodes. You'd think that someone would have given that medical information to America's doctors or to the workers who were going to those doctors asking why they had emphysema. No. The study was given to the fluorine lawyers committee, and it was buried. The book makes clear for the first time, That selling of fluoride to the American public was done by the the best in the business, By the father of public relations, Edward Bernays. Edward Bernays is Sigmund Freud's nephew, And he was a Machiavellian genius, small in size, yet cast a towering shadow over the 20th century. Bernays Understood that there was a liberal sentiment, of course, into the 20th century. And then if you could hitch your commercial wagon to, to, to that, Star, then you could make your clients a lot of money. In 1916, Bernays had suffragettes march In the Easter parade in New York City holding cigarettes as torches of liberty. And he cooked up that scheme on behalf of the American Tobacco Company And its director, George Hill, who was paying Bernays' salary. Well, my book Uncovers correspondence between Bernays and the National Institutes of Dental Research. Bernays was asked To come to Washington by the NIDR to help create their PR campaign to sell fluoride to the nation. Renee's understood that people have an unconscious trust in their doctor or their dentist. And if you can persuade Doctors and dentists that fluoride is safe and good, then you're able to reach the rest of the nation, people believe their doctors and dentists. And that was a way of promoting fluoride for Bernays. Very few dentists are aware that the fluoride in public water supplies Pharmaceutical grade product. It is in fact an industrial waste. It's the waste from the Florida phosphate industry. In 1950s, the Florida phosphate industry was being sued by farmers and citizens living near those plants because of the fluoride that was killing their cattle, Destroying their crops. The Florida Phosphate industry today is prevented from having to dispose of its industrial effluent In a toxic waste dump by the device of shipping that in tanker trucks around the country and dumping it in our water supply. From the beginning, opposition to Fluoride has been Equated with believing the earth is flat or being against the United Nations, Opposition to fluoride is equated with quackery or paranoia. And In fact, that's really a media smear. In 1950, the public health endorsed water fluoridation. Almost immediately, There was a national movement against fluoride and that was led by Doctor. George Wolbach. We should all know George Wolbach's name. He was the 1st physician to warn of the dangers of allergic fatal allergic reaction to Penicillin. A wall bot warned was on the 1st physicians to warn of the dangers of emphysema from smoking. He saw in his own surgery In his practice in Detroit, Michigan, the people were coming in with these ailments, unexplained ailments, whether it was back pain or Great distress, muscle fatigue, headaches, and he figured out that it was low dose fluoride, As with a lot of drugs or chemicals, there's a small subset of people who are uniquely allergic to the chemical, and Wobot realized that it was fluoride, and he performed A whole series of double blind experiments, where people were given some fluoridated water without knowing it and the symptoms recurred. And Very quickly, Walbot's name rather than being seen as this giant of public health committed To safeguarding public health, somebody who'd warned us about Penicillin or, Tobacco, suddenly George Waldorf becomes this marginal Fringe figure, who is criticized for his opposition to Fluoride and that's something that takes place again and again and again. Speaking out as a doctor or a dentist against fluoride is the 3rd rail. It's fatal to your career. In the, 1990s, The senior toxicologists for the EPA's Office of Water said that the cancer tests That had been done, on fluoride where laboratory animals were given fluoride. He said that those results had been gerrymandered that in fact, the equivocal verdict that fluoride was a carcinogen also have been much stronger. He said that, fluoride given to rats had produced bone cancer and liver cancer, and that Those results had been doctored to make it look as though fluoride haven't caused as much cancer. Speaker 4: I Been in the toxicology business, looking at studies of this nature for nearly 25 years and I've never seen that. Never ever seen where every single endpoint that was a cancer endpoint had been downgraded. I'd seen 1 or 2 endpoints argued over Usually, on a definition of what is a cancer and that particular tissue, I've never seen every one of them downgraded. I found that very suspicious. Speaker 0: Marcus was fired. Doctor. William Marcus was fired and a federal judge ruled that Marcus was fired Because of his outspoken opposition to fluoride. The first 2 chapters of the book are relate the story of Doctor. Phyllis Mullenix at the Forsyth Dental Institute, She had helped invent a new technology for studying the neurotoxicity of chemicals. It was called the computer pattern recognition system. And, in essence, doctor Melinek's, technology, took, Photographs or video of animals, which had been given a chemical in small doses And then use computers to analyze, the patterned behavior or the disruptions to patterned behavior when the animals can be given, that that chemical. While Melinex was brought into the Forsyth Dental Research Center to study the some of the chemicals used in dentistry, And she was asked to study fluoride. And Phyllis Melinek said, I'm not wasting my time with fluoride. Fluoride's given to children. It's good for children. It's been around for donkeys years. I'm wasting my time by studying fluoride, But she did as she was ordered. And, Phyllis Melineks found that fluoride in very modest doses produces effects in laboratory animals resembling attention deficits and hyperactivity disorder. Speaker 5: The pattern that we saw It typically is what we see with other neurotoxic agents that are well known to cause a hypoactivity or a memory problem or an IQ problem. When I first presented the results of these studies, one of the individuals sitting and listening to the results, he says, Do you have any idea what you're saying? And he says, You're telling us that we're reducing the IQ of children? And basically, I said, Yes. Speaker 0: She went from being an industry funded leading neurotoxicologist at a Harvard affiliated research institute to being a voice in the wilderness. She has not received any grants, nor any Academic position as a research scientist since her opposition to fluoride is made public. Speaker 1: The Center of Disease Control Says that water fluoridation is one of the top 10 public health achievements of the 20th century. How can citizens deal with something like that? Speaker 0: A question authority. For years years years years, the public health establishment told us that lead In gasoline was safe. We know today that children's brains were damaged, were injured by, the addition of lead to gasoline. So these buried medical studies, which are now in the public domain as a result of my book, As a result of, you know, the medical work that's been done by people like Phyllis Mullenix, the willingness to speak truth of Toxicologists like William Marcus, the implications, of that research, of these new findings is terribly, terribly wrong, and we have been led very far astray, and it's time to change. But that change will only come as a result of, bravery as a result of the willingness to invest time. You know, I think it's time to, to speak to speak loudly, to get organized and to fight for change.

Neurotoxic agents can cause hyperactivity, memory problems, and reduced IQ. Dr. Judy Mikovits faced backlash for publishing such findings, losing grants and being ridiculed. Funding control by figures like Fauci can silence scientists who challenge mainstream narratives. The antihuman depopulation cult and industry captured institutions suppress research on vaccine damage, fluoride's impact on IQ, and EMF's health risks. This intentional malice threatens our children's well-being. We must protect ourselves and our kids to preserve wisdom in a world that values it less.

@Inversionism - Inversionism

"The pattern that we saw, it typically is what we see with other neurotoxic agents that are well known to cause a hyper activity, or a memory problem, or an IQ problem. When I first presented the results of these studies, one of the individuals sitting and listening to the results said: Do you have any idea what you're saying? You're telling us were reducing the IQ of children? And basically I said yes" After she published these findings, her career was destroyed because the government stopped giving her grants for research and she was ridiculed in the press and elsewhere. This is how the game works at the highest levels of what people call science. If you don't adhere to what the cult wants published, you're gone, grant funding revoked, ridiculed by peers, shafted by other organizations, and left all by your lonesome trying to share your scientific findings to an empty room. Fauci has destroyed so many scientists with purely just controlling who gets funding and then what heor his lackeys say about you to the press. @DrJudyAMikovits is a great example of this, as is @DrWakefield If you ever publish work that says vaccine cause brain damage and autism, fluoride is reducing the IQ of children, EMF is bad for your health, or anything else that doesn't jive with the anti-human depopulation cult and industry captured institutions, your life as a scientist will be over. You all have to understand that they are INTENTIONALLY trying to destroy your kids. It's not negligence. It's not just profit motive or stupidity. At the highest levels where the funding and grants are dictated, it's actual malice with forethought. They've created a world where they only want the wise to survive. Do the right things to ensure your kids and yourself is protected, so you can retain a well functioning brain and earn that wisdom.

Dr. Phyllis Mullinix invented a technology called the computer pattern recognition system to study the neurotoxicity of chemicals. She was asked to study fluoride, which she initially didn't want to do. However, her research found that even small doses of fluoride in animals produced effects similar to attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder. When she presented her results, it was met with disbelief and criticism. As a result, she lost her industry funding and academic position.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and several doctors are being sued for medical malpractice. Isabelle Ayala, a 14-year-old, experienced negative effects after being coerced into testosterone treatment. The doctors promoted immediate gender transitioning, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones without sufficient scientific evidence. Concerned AAP members challenged the controversial Gender Policy Statement, which has been contradicted by multiple systematic reviews. Isabelle's case highlights the lack of informed consent and alternative treatments. This lawsuit aims to address child abuse in the medical field.

@BillboardChris - Billboard Chris 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Massive news! The American Academy of Pediatrics and several leading doctors are being sued for civil conspiracy, fraud, and medical malpractice! Isabelle Ayala was just 14 years old and struggling with trauma, depression, cutting, and suicidal ideation when she was coerced onto testosterone by ideologically captured doctors who push childhood sex changes. Isabelle has suffered from vaginal atrophy from the extensive use of testosterone; she deals with excess facial and body hair; she struggles with compromised bone structure; she is unsure whether her fertility has been irreversibly compromised; she still has mental health issues and deals with episodes of anxiety and depression, further compounded by a sense of regret; and she has since contracted an autoimmune disease that only the males in her family have a history of.

@BillboardChris - Billboard Chris 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Under the AAP’s so-called ‘gender-affirmative care’ model, the charlatans named in this lawsuit advocate for the immediate, unquestioned embrace of a child's chosen ‘gender identity.’ They also advocate for immediate ‘social transitioning’ of the child to the newly chosen gender identity, and encourage puberty blocking drugs and cross-sex hormones. Notably, at least four of the six members of the Committee including Defendants Dr. Rafferty, Dr. Forcier, Dr. Allen, and Dr. Sherer —worked at pediatric gender clinics that prescribe puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to patients as young as 10 and Instead of supporting the conclusions and recommendations contained in the policy statement with scientific evidence, they fraudulently and misleadingly cited evidence that did not support any of their conclusions and recommendations, and they knowingly misrepresented the known risks and dangers of some of the medical interventions the policy statement promoted.

@BillboardChris - Billboard Chris 🇨🇦🇺🇸

At some point between January 2016 and October 2018, the Committee chose Defendant Dr. Rafferty — who was then only in his medical residency — to be the lead author for the ‘gender-affirmative care’ policy statement they envisioned. The Gender Policy Statement was alarming to many in the medical community, as it memorialized and institutionalized the radical personal beliefs and ideologies of its authors and visionaries, as opposed to proposing a treatment model based on cited scientific research and evidence. Indeed, the Gender Policy Statement has been described as "an extraordinary departure from the international medical consensus" (which was and is watchful waiting).

@BillboardChris - Billboard Chris 🇨🇦🇺🇸

A particularly egregious misrepresentation, which is repeated multiple times in the Gender Policy Statement without even a citation is the contention that puberty blockers to treat gender diverse children are completely reversible and generally helpful to treat gender diverse youth. And Defendants have stated and continue to state the same fraudulent claim in their private practices as well as their public appearances and in the media. This is an entirely false and extremely dangerous misrepresentation to make and advocate to the public, particularly since the affected audience are children and adolescents (and their families). In truth, puberty blockers are known to impact children's bone density and can lead to early onset osteoporosis and decreased bone density. They can also impact a child's mental illness. In fact, on the package insert for Lupron, one of the most commonly prescribed puberty blockers, it lists ‘emotional instability’ as a side effect and warns to "[m]onitor for development or worsening of psychiatric symptoms during treatment." Lupron has also been associated with and may be the cause of mood disorders, seizures, cognitive impairment, and sterility if the patient proceeds to take cross-sex hormones. Additionally, a leading expert on the subject noted in relation to a recent experimental trial of puberty blockers, "There was no statistically significant difference in psychosocial functioning between the group given blockers and the group given only psychological support. In addition, there is unpublished evidence that after a year on [puberty blockers] children reported greater self-harm, and the girls also experienced more behavioral and emotional problems and expressed greater dissatisfaction with their body so puberty blockers exacerbated gender dysphoria."

@BillboardChris - Billboard Chris 🇨🇦🇺🇸

For three consecutive years, concerned AAP members, who became increasingly worried with what they were seeing in their practices with children suffering under the care being promoted by Defendants, brought official resolutions before the AAP challenging the Gender Policy Statement. Each time the AAP used procedural hurdles and even changed certain procedural rules to table and silence those resolutions. Furthermore, over the past almost two years, there have been six systematic reviews of the evidence surrounding "gender-affirming" medical treatments for children and adolescents (i.e., puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones) conducted by research teams across the globe, as advocated for by the Gender Policy Statement, and every single one of them has reached the conclusion that "the evidence for mental-health benefits of hormonal interventions for minors to be of low or very low certainty," whereas, "[b]y contrast, the risks are significant and include sterility, lifelong dependence on medication and the anguish of regret." Every systematic review has also contradicted the claims that non-medical intervention for gender diverse youth leads to increased suicides another claim pushed by the Gender Policy Statement. "There is no reliable evidence to suggest that hormonal transition is an effective suicide-prevention measure."

Isabelle was sexually assaulted at the age of 7, and experienced early onset-puberty at age 8. Still haunted from the sexual trauma, and experiencing natural female discomfort, insecurities, and anxiety with puberty, she starting cutting herself at 11. Then came social media interactions which introduced Isabelle to the concept of being "trans," an idea that immediately gained traction in her mind since Isabelle's life experiences to that point taught her that to be a woman is to be vulnerable. Within months, to distance herself from the trauma she endured as a young girl, Isabelle began to identify as a boy amongst her group of close friends.

@BillboardChris - Billboard Chris 🇨🇦🇺🇸

During Isabelle's initial visit with Dr. Rafferty, she in her deeply compromised mental state told him that her growing suicidality was related to her level of discomfort with her natal sex and her inability to transition due primarily to her mother's refusal. She was convinced that getting rid of her secondary sex characteristics, dissociating herself from the vulnerable female she was when she was attacked at seven years old, and becoming a boy was the only way to treat her mental health struggles. At this first visit with Dr. Rafferty, Isabelle made the following requests of Dr. Rafferty: ▪️“I would like to start on testosterone but my mother said she would not let me until I am an adult and she no longer has any say." ▪️“I want everything to transition towards a more masculine expression." ▪️“I would like to switch bodies with a boy if I could." ▪️“I would like a penis.” At that same meeting, however, Isabelle also shared with Dr. Rafferty a major hesitation regarding her desire to medically transition, namely, "that [she] might want to have a biological child." She further explained, "giving birth really fascinates me and I think it is a beautiful thing," reflecting the fact that even at 14 years old she could sense the unique bond between a mother and a child. Even so, in a matter of minutes and based substantially, if not exclusively, on the endorsements of Isabelle set forth above, Dr. Rafferty concluded that Isabelle "would benefit [from] and meets criteria to consider hormonal transition," noting only a single "concern," namely "parental (maternal) refusal." Dr. Rafferty formed these conclusions in spite of the fact that Isabelle was at the moment undergoing inpatient mental health evaluation and treatment, and the fact that Isabelle had expressed desire to give birth to a child someday.

@BillboardChris - Billboard Chris 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Shortly after starting on testosterone, Isabelle reported "profound depression with intermittent suicidal ideation." Dr. Jason Rafferty increased her dose! 6 months in, she reported ongoing depression. She then saw Dr. Michelle Forcier (the “Do chickens cry?” lady from “What is a Woman?”) Isabelle told Dr. Forcier how her anxiety and depression had been worsening, but Forcier did nothing to slow down Isabelle’s testosterone use. The next month, Isabelle attempted suicide.

@BillboardChris - Billboard Chris 🇨🇦🇺🇸

With the intent that Isabelle and her parents would rely on such representations and would "consent" to starting a regiment of cross-sex hormones, each of the Fraud Defendants falsely represented that cross-sex hormone therapy was the only treatment option available to Isabelle to effectively treat her gender dysphoria, as well as her anxiety, depression, PTSD, and suicidality. They further knowingly fraudulently represented that cross-sex hormone treatment was the settled medical consensus and was based on sufficient and valid scientific evidence for treating patients such as herself. The Fraud Defendants compounded these fraudulent misrepresentations and coerced Isabelle's mother into giving her "consent" by stating that if Isabelle did not start cross-sex hormone therapy, she would commit suicide.

@BillboardChris - Billboard Chris 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Separate and distinct from their duties owed to Isabelle under the general standard of care, Malpractice Defendants owed a duty to fully address the known risks associated with the invasive “gender-affirming” treatments they pushed and to discuss all viable alternatives to such procedures. Malpractice Defendants each breached this duty to provide and obtain informed consent by failing to address the risks of cross-sex hormone treatment (and indeed actually downplaying/minimizing known risks) and by failing to discuss or even present any other alternative treatments. Because the Malpractice Defendants failed to provide the information necessary for informed consent and failed to discuss the viable, non-invasive alternatives to the “gender- affirming” treatments, Isabelle and her parents were misled into agreeing to take testosterone, which failed to address her underlying issues, and Isabelle now suffers from irreversible changes to her body.

We found that exposure to fluoride during pregnancy, whether through urinary fluoride, water fluoride, or estimated fluoride intake, resulted in IQ deficits in children. This effect was observed in boys specifically, which raises questions about the reasons behind this gender difference. Although we cannot fully explain these findings at this point, the consistency of our results with other high-quality studies has led to concerns about practices like community fluoridation.

In every case, we saw IQ deficits in the children. For the urinary fluoride, it was only for the boys, and that's raised some questions. Why only in the boys? We can't explain everything at this point. It raises more questions, but the consistency across those three different ways of measuring fluoride and the consistency with other really high quality studies has really raised questions about practices like community fluoridation.

COVID's impact on the brain is a concerning aspect that many are unaware of. Studies show cognitive deficits, memory issues, and brain structure alterations in those with Long Covid. Inflammation, fusion of brain cells, and neuroinflammation are also observed. Mental health problems, including anxiety and depression, are common. Long Covid is linked to cognitive decline and may have similarities to post-concussion syndrome.

Speaker 0: You've had COVID. Did you think that the virus affected your memory or ability to think straight? Maybe you described it as brain fog. Well, new research published in the last half hour or so in the New England Journal of Medicine reports that having COVID could lead to a modest cognitive decline. Commensurate, the research says, with a 3 point loss in IQ, rising to a 9 point loss in IQ if you ended up in intensive care. We'll talk to the author of the study in a moment as well as a woman living with the long term effects of COVID. 1st is Kate. Speaker 1: Could you remember the shapes you've just seen? This is just 1 test used to research the so called brain fog associated with COVID 19. From the early stages of the pandemic, some COVID patients described being left with long term changes to how they think, concentrate, and remember. But objectively measuring those changes has proved tricky. 1 large study has attempted to shed light on the issue by assessing the cognitive function of more than a 100000 adults in England. Participants completed an online assessment in 2022. This is 1 of the 8 tests they did measuring verbal reasoning. Other tests looked at things like spatial planning or memory recall. In putting all that together, researchers calculated a global cognitive score. That data showed that compared to participants who've never contracted COVID 19, those who'd recovered from the virus in up to 12 weeks saw a small cognitive deficit. Researchers suggest this is broadly equivalent to a gap 3 IQ points. Patients whose symptoms have not resolved after 12 weeks, some of whom may be diagnosed with long COVID through a greater cognitive deficit. Comparing different groups, scientists also concluded those infected in the early stages of the pandemic when the original strain or alpha variant of the virus were dominant were more greatly impacted as well as those hospitalized by COVID 19. Compared to those who didn't contract COVID, patients who needed to be admitted to intensive care performed on average an equivalent of 9 IQ points worse. Now COVID is far from the only virus which can affect cognitive function. It's long been known that severe viral illnesses, which results in brain inflammation or encephalitis, can impair the way patients think. Long term cognitive impairment can even be seen after severe cases of the flu when patients develop acute respiratory distress syndrome. In this case, we have to remember there are some limitations to these findings. Those who reported having brain fog were more likely to sign up to complete the assessment in the first place, for example. We don't yet know whether these gaps in cognitive performance will resolve themselves over time. But those experiencing the long term effects of COVID would hope this research is just the beginning, A greater understanding of exactly how COVID affects our brains and learning to treat it is also essential. Speaker 0: Well, let's talk now to doctor Adam Hampshire, who is cognitive neuroscientist at Imperial College London who works on the study. And doctor Joanna Herman is here, an infectious diseases consultant who has long COVID. Welcome, both of you. Thank you for being on the program. First of all, what do you make of this new study? Speaker 2: I think it's really interesting, and it just, lends weight and starts filling in the jigsaw piece. It's, the puzzle that is long COVID. And to really understand how we can manage it and how ultimately, how we can treat it, we really need to understand the pathological processes behind it. Speaker 0: And this is obviously, you have long COVID. This is some of the most substantive evidence of an association between having COVID and having cognitive issues. Would you say that you have had cognitive issues? Speaker 2: Yeah. And I still do. I mean, you've got me on not my best day, but I have days you know, possibly, it was 1 day when I actually really struggled. I didn't actually have any conversations because they felt too much for me. It's very fluctuating, but I got it early on. So it's the first virus right at the beginning of the pandemic. And I'm sort of almost in shock that it's nearly 4 years, and I still haven't been able to return to work with the company. How do you feel about that? There's been a huge amount of of frustration in having to sit out the pandemic, you know, from the sidelines, whereas an infectious disease consultant, you should have been in the thick of it. But then I've sort of from that, There's been a level of acceptance, and I've started doing other things and working out what I can do within the confines of the sort of new parameters that I'm having to live by. Speaker 0: What are your symptoms then? Speaker 2: How are you affected? So brain fog is 1 and has been a very major 1. Post exertional malaise or fatigue, which has not been tired all the time. You feel really very unwell with it. And I've also had, sort of palpitations, so rapid heart rates. And it's all very variable and unpredictable. So no 2 days are necessarily the same. Doctor Adam Hampshire. Speaker 0: People are going to hear about this association between COVID and and this loss in IQ points. How significant would you say your study is? Speaker 3: I think it's, got a number of aspects that that are very important. So first of all, we we observe this association between slightly poorer memory and cognitive function and even relatively short duration COVID illness. That's that's that's quite a novel finding. We were a bit surprised by it. On the other hand, what's what's more positive is we can see that association attenuated. It reduced over time through the pandemic as we got on towards more recent variants. So there's a positive side there as well. And perhaps in terms of long COVID, where we looked at people who had sort of longer term persistent symptoms, Once we see more pronounced memory and planning and and cognitive problems in those participants, The the people whose symptoms that eventually, resolved, those individuals actually perform at the same level as people who had short duration symptoms. So there are some quite promising findings in in there as well. Speaker 0: Okay. So sorry. Go on. Speaker 2: I could say that comment does give me hope because we don't know you know, I I do feel I'm on the path of recovery, and I'm certainly much better than I was a few months ago. And I look back not week on week, but I look back month on month and see how I've done. But to actually hear positive news like that is really hopeful and sort of inspiring and vital because, you know, you don't want to be in brain fog Speaker 0: for the rest of your life. Speaker 2: And I used to be able to think quite well. Yeah. Can I just ask Speaker 0: you about the term brain fog? Because it it it feels like an inferior phrase for what you're experiencing and for what you have found in your study. Is that fair? Yeah. Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's like long COVID became a phrase that the sort of public and and those with long COVID points. So it's post acute COVID syndrome. And brain fog, I suppose, for most people encompasses you know, it is basically like your brain is in sort of fog where you can't think clearly. Your memory can be poor. You know, reading an article can be too much. Having a conversation can be too much. You know, even writing an email can be too much. And then, you know, it's like the fog get cleared. And then, you know, a few hours later or the next day, you wake up and you can give an interview or do something else. Yeah. Speaker 0: Is this do you think this is unique to COVID in terms of the cognitive impairment? Speaker 3: I don't think it's unique to COVID, but it's probably more common, perhaps more pronounced. That said, our study can't really address that question because what we didn't do is look at other respiratory illnesses. Speaker 0: Okay. Joanna, as a society, I just wanna ask you finally, what what adjustments do you think we need to make, if any, to to to make sure that people like you can live and work in a a fulfilled and meaningful way. Speaker 2: I think there needs to be much more support. So help for people with long COVID remains a postcode lottery. So clinics, there are clinics all over the country, probably about 80 currently, maybe more clinics, but access to those is really variable. So for example, I'm based in Southwest London. My health has been diabolical because there isn't a a good clinic that has something. Whereas if you're based in some parts of Northwest London, the health is excellent. So you need support. You need, you know, occupational health support to help people get back to work. And you need to continue to have funding put in both to clinics and both to research. And that research then needs to translate into care and management and hopefully, for drugs to know what to target, but also for non pharmaceutical interventions that have been proven to have benefit. So yes. Great. Well, thank you both very Speaker 0: much for coming in. Thank you. Continued success with your recovery as well. Thank you.

Thank you.

Neuroimaging findings in children with COVID-19 infection: a systematic review and meta-analysis - Scientific Reports The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted individuals differently, and there's been a growing body of evidence pointing to neurological complications caused by the virus. However, our understanding of the range of neurological issues linked to SARS-CoV-2 infection in children is limited. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the abnormal neuroimaging findings in pediatric COVID-19 patients, shedding light on this crucial aspect of the disease's impact on children. We conducted an extensive search in the PubMed, Medline, and ScienceDirect databases for observational studies reporting neuroimaging findings of the brain and spinal cord in children with COVID-19 between December 1, 2019, and October 30, 2021. Grey literature sources, including medRxiv and Google Scholar, were also explored. Pooled proportions of abnormal neuroimaging findings, categorized into neurovascular findings, ADEM-like lesions, encephalitic pattern, myelitis, transient splenial lesions, and other anomalies, were calculated using a random-effects model. Between-study heterogeneity was assessed using the χ2 statistic for pooled proportions and the inconsistency index I2. The Quality of the studies was evaluated using the NIH Quality Assessment Tool and the adapted Newcastle–Ottawa Scale. Our search yielded 9,605 articles, with 96 studies (involving 327 pediatric patients) included in the qualitative analysis. Of these, five reports (encompassing 111 patients) underwent quantitative analysis. The pooled proportion of pediatric COVID-19 patients with neurological symptoms and exhibiting abnormal neuroimaging findings was 43.74%. These findings were further categorized into neurovascular findings (8.22%), ADEM-like lesions (7.69%), encephalitic pattern (13.95%), myelitis (4.60%), transient splenial lesions (16.26%), and other abnormalities (12.03%). Insignificant between-study heterogeneity was observed in all categories, and our analysis did not reveal significant publication bias. In conclusion, a substantial proportion of pediatric COVID-19 patients with neurological symptoms have abnormal neuroimaging findings, underscoring the need for vigilant monitoring of neurological complications in this vulnerable population. Standardized reporting and long-term follow-up studies are essential to fully understand the implications of these findings. Collaborative research efforts will deepen our understanding of COVID-19's neurological dimensions in children and enhance clinical care for this population. nature.com

5. Another recent study (published 22 Feb 2024) used dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI scans to demonstrate how Covid can disrupt the blood brain barrier, the shield that protects the nervous system making it ‘leaky’. 🔗 https://www.nature.com/articles/s41593-024-01576-9

Blood–brain barrier disruption and sustained systemic inflammation in individuals with long COVID-associated cognitive impairment - Nature Neuroscience Vascular disruption has been implicated in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pathogenesis and may predispose to the neurological sequelae associated with long COVID, yet it is unclear how blood–brain barrier (BBB) function is affected in these conditions. Here we show that BBB disruption is evident during acute infection and in patients with long COVID with cognitive impairment, commonly referred to as brain fog. Using dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging, we show BBB disruption in patients with long COVID-associated brain fog. Transcriptomic analysis of peripheral blood mononuclear cells revealed dysregulation of the coagulation system and a dampened adaptive immune response in individuals with brain fog. Accordingly, peripheral blood mononuclear cells showed increased adhesion to human brain endothelial cells in vitro, while exposure of brain endothelial cells to serum from patients with long COVID induced expression of inflammatory markers. Together, our data suggest that sustained systemic inflammation and persistent localized BBB dysfunction is a key feature of long COVID-associated brain fog. Long COVID is a major public health issue since 2020 and exhibits frequent neurological symptoms. Greene et al. propose that brain fog results from leaky brain blood vessels and a hyperactive immune system, shedding light on this phenomenon. nature.com

Video Transcript AI Summary
The blood brain barrier is a protective membrane that controls what enters the brain. COVID-19 can disrupt this barrier, leading to brain damage and cognitive impairment even in mild cases. Studies on infected individuals show brain shrinkage, cognitive decline, and potential long-term consequences like dementia. Animal studies suggest that even asymptomatic cases may have brain damage that could lead to severe neurological disorders. To prevent further harm, it's crucial to reduce infections by wearing masks and improving air quality. The current trajectory of repeated infections with a brain-damaging virus is unsustainable, and we must prioritize stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Speaker 0: I'm going to teach you about the blood brain barrier, what happens when it goes wrong, and why you should care. Speaker 1: The blood brain barrier is a selectively permeable membrane that filters the blood entering and exiting the roughly 3 pounds of grayish Jell O that is your mind. Selectively permeable means the BBB only lets through certain substances like oxygen and carbon dioxide necessary for your cells to breathe or the glucose, AKA sugar, which is your brain's main fuel. Yummy. Not on the guest list are viruses and bacteria, which is why brain infections are considered rare, but not impossible. And most drugs including antibiotics which is why brain infections are so hard to treat when they happen. 3 substances that have no problem crossing the BBB are ethanol, that's alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine which explains a lot about people. But these 3 are not the only things messing with brains around the world on the daily. Some willow viruses with bad reputations can disrupt and even break through the blood brain barrier and cause major problems. 1 of those is human immunodeficiency virus or HIV. Statistically, you probably aren't living with HIV, but you likely have a much closer relationship with the newest brain bothering virus in town, SARS CoV 2. Yes. That's right. The virus that causes COVID 19. It can disrupt the blood brain barrier, making it harder for your body to control what's coming in and out of your brain. You can also break through the BBB and set up shop in your head. Even if the virus doesn't infect your brain directly, it has a lot of different ways to trick your body into attacking your brain, aka neuroinflammation. And scientists have seen the results of this damage firsthand in study after study. It turns out that COVID messing with the brain is not rare. It's actually more like the norm. Hey. I know what you're thinking. Speaker 2: But I had that, and I'm fine. Speaker 1: It pleases me to hear that. I hope you keep feeling fine, but the research makes me concerned about the future. It turns out that a single case of COVID 19, including mild or asymptomatic COVID, can do a lot of damage regardless of whether someone feels fine. And these effects are likely cumulative, which means this is not a 1 and done thing. It's an each infection is an increased risk thing. Since you're scientifically minded, you'll stay a moment longer so I can share what I've learned. Right? Okay. Great. 1st, let's talk about the damage that COVID can cause even if your initial infection is mild or you're feeling fine. A UK study from 2022 compared a huge number of people's brain scans from before and after their infections, and their brains actually shrink. It turns out that your brain shrinking is a normal part of aging, and people lose point 2 to point 3 percent of their brain volume per year as they get older. However, these study participants lost an additional point to to 2% of their brain volume, which is, in the best case, an extra year of brain aging from a single COVID infection, and in the worst case, a decade of brain aging from 1 infection. These results remained even when they removed the few patients who were hospitalized. So mild COVID can shrink your brain. The shrinkage was concentrated near the primary olfactory cortex, aka the smell zone. You ever heard someone say that scents are associated with strong memories because the memory part of the brain and the smell part of the brain are near each other? Well, that's true, and it's cause for concern. The authors of this study actually said that their results raised the possibility that longer term consequences of SARS CoV 2 infection might in time contribute to Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. No wonder that a few months after this study was published, a prominent American neuroscientist from the University of Chicago published an article saying that the data coming out of studies like these suggest a wave of post COVID dementia in the coming decades, and that there is a pressing need for long term studies of people who have recovered from mild COVID. But that's from 2022. So what have we learned since then? A Brazilian study just published in 2024 looked at people who had a confirmed mild infection approximately 80 to 90 days earlier. Researchers only chose subjects with no history of anxiety or depression before or after infection to make sure that any abnormalities they noticed couldn't be due to mental health concerns. The subjects had their cognitive abilities assessed by the researchers, which means a bunch of tasks, like seeing how well you remember a short story, checking how many animals you can name in a minute, or how well you can copy 1 of these weirdo drawings. The researchers also took detailed scans of the subjects' brains and compared them to people who had never been infected. The results? The people who were mildly infected a few months earlier showed cognitive impairment, meaning they did not perform as well on the silly tests as they should have, and their MRIs showed microstructural abnormalities in their white matter, AKA there was something weird going on in the tissue that connects the different parts of the brain and allows them to communicate. The researchers had this to say, the longitudinal analyses will clarify whether these alterations are temporary or permanent, which is scientists speak for, we don't know if this damage is permanent. Only time will tell. Not great. Another study just published compared the cognitive speed of long COVID patients to people who were infected previously but didn't have long COVID to people who had never been infected in both the UK and Germany. Participants did a very boring activity designed to test how fast they can react and think and how long they can pay attention. You can actually try it online yourself if you want to. Their results were classified as normal, moderately impaired, or severely impaired in their reaction times. Only 4% of the no infection group showed severely impaired reaction times, but the number was 53.5 percent of the long COVID patients. According to the researchers, there's no way other conditions like trauma or sleep problems could cause such an extent of severe impairment in the long COVID group. This means that there is something going wrong in people with long COVID's brains causing this impairment. But what about the group of people that had previous infections but no long COVID? If the virus wasn't damaging a lot of people's brains, we would expect this group to have about the same rate of severe impairment as the new infection group, 4%. But this group showed 19.4% severely impaired reaction speed, almost 5 times the rate of the no infection group, and nearly a 5th of the previously infected people without long COVID, which would suggest that there are a lot of people out there who do not identify as currently having long COVID whose thinking abilities have nonetheless been severely impacted due to some sort of underlying change in the brain. Speaker 2: So what's going on? Are you saying that I might have brain damage that could be affecting me now or lead to dementia in the future, and I don't know it? Speaker 1: Unfortunately, yes. So there are limits to how much we can find out for sure about what COVID does to the human brain now because of ethics. But it's easier for scientists to see damage up close in animal brains because, you know, they're allowed to In a Korean study last year, researchers gave COVID to dogs and then let those dogs infect other dogs because there are actually striking similarities in the structure of human and canine brains and how we process information. So looking into dog brains can give us insight into our own. None of the dogs in the study displayed any symptoms of COVID, either respiratory or neurological. However, when the scientists checked under the hood, things were not okay. All of the dogs had brain damage. The virus was getting into the brain early in the infection and leading to a chain response of unhealthy changes that are the same sorts of changes documented in the super early phases of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. The researchers say that their evidence strongly suggests that even asymptomatic SARS CoV 2 patients might have neuropathologic changes in their brains, which could develop into severe neurologic disorders later in life. And they're talking about people here, not dogs. All of these studies added together paint a picture that is really not good. Even if in the best case scenario, these changes the virus causes to the brain are temporary. They can heal on their own eventually. That doesn't help if we all keep getting infected 2 or 3 times a year because your brain and body will never get the chance to heal fully. That doesn't mean things are hopeless though. We can stop the spread of this virus by wearing high quality masks now and updating our infrastructure with technology that can clean air in the long term. We also need to stop forcing people to go to work and school when they're sick because all of the cutting edge research into the way this virus harms every part of our bodies shows that our current trajectory is unsustainable, and we all deserve better than getting repeatedly infected with a brain damaging virus. Our best chance for healing involves minimizing the number of infections we get by stopping the spread of SARS CoV 2. In conclusion, thanks for coming to my presentation. If you still wanna know more about the possible specific mechanisms of SARS CoV 2 induced pathologic changes with BBB and the brain, let me know in the comments, and I will make a follow-up which goes into that more specifically.

Cognitive dysfunction after covid-19 ### What you need to know As of March 2023, when the Office for National Statistics stopped collecting data on this condition, 1.879 million individuals had self-assessed as having long covid—symptoms lasting more than 12 weeks following acute covid-19 infection. Of these, the proportion of individuals with symptoms lasting two years or more is around 42%, suggesting a decline in new cases of long covid but a persistence of those with ongoing symptoms.1 Some systematic reviews and meta-analyses have reported that up to a third of such individuals have persistent symptoms of cognitive impairment,23 but estimates vary widely and are complicated by methodological heterogeneity—eg, study size, assessment approach, follow-up duration, and different sampling frames (from self-reported surveys4 to large retrospective matched cohort studies of health records5), as discussed in a recent meta-analysis.6 The pathological underpinnings and potential therapeutic possibilities for cognitive impairment in long covid are also uncertain. The bulk of evidence to date is mechanistic (using basic science, animal models, or human tissue), observational (using longitudinal cohort studies), or hypothetical (reasoning from basic principles); this literature has been well summarised by the RECOVER Consortium.7 Because of the methodological heterogeneity, even when individual studies have been rigorously conducted, it is difficult to know to what extent their findings can be extrapolated and generalised across those with long covid. A few randomised controlled trials of potential treatments (pharmacological and non-pharmacological) … bmj.com

Speaker 0: Inflammation in the brain can cause dysregulation of a number of different cell types and have lasting consequences to cognitive function. Understanding that when the pandemic struck and we saw how profoundly immunogenic, how profoundly inflammatory, even relatively mild cases of COVID could be. I really worried about a neurological health crisis. And I think we're watching that unfold right now. The rates of persistent cognitive symptoms in people who have recovered from COVID, is is frankly alarming. We need to understand how to intervene and offer effective therapy, or there are going to be just millions of people suffering with these persistent cognitive symptoms.

Selective visuoconstructional impairment following mild COVID-19 with inflammatory and neuroimaging correlation findings - Molecular Psychiatry People recovered from COVID-19 may still present complications including respiratory and neurological sequelae. In other viral infections, cognitive impairment occurs due to brain damage or dysfunction caused by vascular lesions and inflammatory processes. Persistent cognitive impairment compromises daily activities and psychosocial adaptation. Some level of neurological and psychiatric consequences were expected and described in severe cases of COVID-19. However, it is debatable whether neuropsychiatric complications are related to COVID-19 or to unfoldings from a severe infection. Nevertheless, the majority of cases recorded worldwide were mild to moderate self-limited illness in non-hospitalized people. Thus, it is important to understand what are the implications of mild COVID-19, which is the largest and understudied pool of COVID-19 cases. We aimed to investigate adults at least four months after recovering from mild COVID-19, which were assessed by neuropsychological, ocular and neurological tests, immune markers assay, and by structural MRI and 18FDG-PET neuroimaging to shed light on putative brain changes and clinical correlations. In approximately one-quarter of mild-COVID-19 individuals, we detected a specific visuoconstructive deficit, which was associated with changes in molecular and structural brain imaging, and correlated with upregulation of peripheral immune markers. Our findings provide evidence of neuroinflammatory burden causing cognitive deficit, in an already large and growing fraction of the world population. While living with a multitude of mild COVID-19 cases, action is required for a more comprehensive assessment and follow-up of the cognitive impairment, allowing to better understand symptom persistence and the necessity of rehabilitation of the affected individuals. nature.com

Long-term neurologic outcomes of COVID-19 - Nature Medicine The neurologic manifestations of acute COVID-19 are well characterized, but a comprehensive evaluation of postacute neurologic sequelae at 1 year has not been undertaken. Here we use the national healthcare databases of the US Department of Veterans Affairs to build a cohort of 154,068 individuals with COVID-19, 5,638,795 contemporary controls and 5,859,621 historical controls; we use inverse probability weighting to balance the cohorts, and estimate risks and burdens of incident neurologic disorders at 12 months following acute SARS-CoV-2 infection. Our results show that in the postacute phase of COVID-19, there was increased risk of an array of incident neurologic sequelae including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, cognition and memory disorders, peripheral nervous system disorders, episodic disorders (for example, migraine and seizures), extrapyramidal and movement disorders, mental health disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, sensory disorders, Guillain–Barré syndrome, and encephalitis or encephalopathy. We estimated that the hazard ratio of any neurologic sequela was 1.42 (95% confidence intervals 1.38, 1.47) and burden 70.69 (95% confidence intervals 63.54, 78.01) per 1,000 persons at 12 months. The risks and burdens were elevated even in people who did not require hospitalization during acute COVID-19. Limitations include a cohort comprising mostly White males. Taken together, our results provide evidence of increased risk of long-term neurologic disorders in people who had COVID-19. Individuals with COVID-19 are at an increased risk for an array of neurologic disorders at 12 months, even in those who were not hospitalized during the acute phase of the infection. nature.com

Myelin and Covid I often post high-magnification photos, so sometimes it is hard (even for me in the microscope) to have an idea of the big picture of the damage that a microorganism like #SARSCoV2 can cause in the brain. The photos below are a comparison of the same region in the brain, with staining for degraded myelin only (dgMBP, 🟢), activated microglia (HLA-Dr, 🔴), and nuclei (dapi, 🔵). If the virus is able to infect neurons, like we think SARS-CoV-2 is, we often see a faster viral spread by using axonal transport. The virus basically hijacks the neuronal machinery for fast neural propagation and uses it to spread viral particles faster and to more brain regions. Viruses can destroy the axons; consequently, the myelin surrounding it shifts from healthy to degraded. It is suggested that such degenerative changes lead to cognitive decline because they cause changes in conduction velocity, disrupting neuronal circuits and contributing to neuronal loss. But besides that, we see that degraded myelin only attracts more activated microglia for the region, contributing to more neuroinflammatory responses in this region and others. But we also see that it is really hard to keep these events contained only to the olfactory cortex. I strongly believe all these neuroinflammatory responses contribute to "brain fog" and #LongCovid. These processes can start very fast but can be very slow for the brain's immune system to clean up the mess after it. #neuroscience #CovidIsntOver

The internal files from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) reveal that gender medicine is not based on science or informed consent. The files show that children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults are being subjected to unregulated and pseudoscientific experiments, resulting in serious injuries and even death. Despite concerns about the negative side effects, WPATH members advocate for irreversible surgeries on adolescents as young as 16 or 17. The files also highlight the misdiagnosis of mental illnesses as gender dysphoria and the lack of proper informed consent. The WPATH Files expose a troubling disregard for the well-being of patients and raise ethical concerns about gender-affirming care.

THE WPATH FILES Advocates of gender-affirming care say it’s evidence-based. But now, newly released internal files from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) prove that the practice of transgender medicine is neither scientific nor medical. American Medical Association, The Endocrine Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and thousands of doctors worldwide rely on WPATH. It is considered the leading global authority on gender medicine. And yet WPATH’s internal files, which include written discussions and a video, reveal that its members know they are creating victims and not getting “informed consent.” Victims include a 10-year-old girl, a 13-year-old developmentally delayed adolescent, and individuals suffering from schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses. The injuries described in the WPATH Files include sterilization, loss of sexual function, liver tumors, and death. WPATH members indicate repeatedly that they know that many children and their parents don’t understand the effects that puberty blockers, hormones, and surgeries will have on their bodies. And yet, they continue to perform and advocate for gender medicine. The WPATH Files prove that gender medicine is comprised of unregulated and pseudoscientific experiments on children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults. It will go down as one of the worst medical scandals in history. https://environmentalprogress.org/big-news/wpath-files

Why I Am Publishing WPATH Files And How I Got Them The written WPATH Files come from WPATH’s member discussion forum, which runs on software provided by DocMatter. Ninety seconds of the 82-minute video was made public last year. We are making the full video available for the first time. One or more people gave me the WPATH Files, and my colleagues and I attempted to summarize them as a series of articles. We quickly realized the topic was too sensitive, complex, and large to be dealt with as a work of journalism, and we moved the project to the research institute I founded seven years ago, Environmental Progress (EP). The Files are authentic. We redacted most names and left only those individuals who are leading gender medicine practitioners to whom we sent “right-of-reply” emails. We know WPATH members discussed our emails internally. No WPATH leader or member has denied that the Files are anything other than what they appear to be. EP is publishing a 70-page report to provide context for the 170 pages of WPATH Files. Mia Hughes is the author of the report. It and accompanying summary materials can be downloaded at the link below. That link also provides a link to the full WPATH video. What follows are simply a few highlights. Speaker 0: A year and a half ago, a video of gender medicine experts went viral. On it, they talked about how hard it is to talk with teenagers about whether they might want to have kids one day. Speaker 1: It's always a good theory that you talk about fertility preservation with a 14 year old but I I know I'm talking to a blank wall and the same would happen for a cisgender kid. Right? They're gonna, you know, kids, babies, gross, or or the usual smack answer is I'm gonna adopt. I'm just gonna adopt. And then you ask them, well, what does that involve? Like, how much does it cost? Oh, I thought you just, like, went to the orphanage and they gave you a baby. No. It's not quite like that. Speaker 0: That's doctor Daniel Metzger, and he's talking about the challenge of getting what's known as informed consent from children and adolescents to undergo procedures that will result in their sterilization. Over the last several years, doctors, medical experts, and the media have all said that the best way to help adolescents in distress about their gender is to give them puberty blockers, hormones, and surgeries to align their physical sex with their gender identity. The alternative to doing so they said was suicide. But now a new study released last month found no scientific evidence to support the claim that drugs and surgeries prevent suicide among people with gender dysphoria. I agree we should be concerned about children and adolescents experiencing distress about their biological sex but now there's even more evidence to warrant greater caution in how we treat them. Whistleblowers have given me the internal files from the main gender medicine organization which is known as WPATH and stands for the World Professional Association For Transgender Health. The WPATH files show surgeons, therapists, and activists discussing internally how to treat people with gender distress. What they show is that what's happening is neither good science nor good medicine. There's a discussion, for example, about the blocking of puberty of a 10 year old girl. There's a discussion of doing general surgery on people with schizophrenia and it's dissociative identity disorder which used to be called multiple personality disorder. At the core of medical ethics is getting this informed consent from the people receiving the medicine or from their caregivers. The WPATH files show overwhelming evidence that the professionals within WPATH know they're not getting consent from children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults or from their caregivers. They know that so called gender affirming care can result in lifelong complications and sterility. Their patients do not understand the implications. Many patients are unaware that they will lose sexual function including the ability to experience orgasm. After I received these files, my colleagues and I tried to report on them as we would journalists. We quickly became overwhelmed by the size and complexity of the project and so we decided to write a full report about the files for Environmental Progress, our non profit Research Institute, in order to put the WPATH files in the context of the best available science about gender distress. The result is a new report, WPATH files Pseudoscientific Surgical and Hormonal Experiments on Children, Adolescents, and Vulnerable Adults. My colleague Mia Hughes wrote the report and Alex Gutentag edited it. I'm proud to publish it and give it and the files away for everyone to read at environmentalprogress.org. The files aren't easy to read, but I urge you to do so. We believe the files show that what is called gender medicine is neither science nor medicine. The experiments are not randomized, double blind, or controlled. And it's not medicine since the first rule is to do no harm and that requires 1st and foremost informed consent.

It's kind of a developmental it's out of their developmental range sometimes to understand the extent to which some of these medical interventions are impacting them. Speaker 1: We do it. We try to talk about it, but most of the kids are nowhere in any kind of a brain space to really, really, really talk about it in a serious way. That's always bothered me, but, you know, we still want the kids to be happy happier in the moment. Right? Speaker 0: And I appreciate that much less with a 9, 10, or 11 year old who's who's who's starting puberty suppression. And like Ren said, if they continue on, then and and, I mean, it's it's like developmentally not in their space to be able to have have to think about that, and it shouldn't be. Right? And so I think it is I think it is a a real growing edge in our field to kind of figure out how we can how we can approach that. I'm definitely a little stumped on it.

“In a developmentally delayed 13yo… what is the ethical approach?” The situation of obtaining informed consent is complicated further when the adolescents are also developmentally delayed and, in the case below, “may not reach the emotional and cognitive developmental bar set” by WPATH’s already very low standards of care.

“Oh, the dog isn’t doing it for you?” Many gender medicine victims are filled with regret that they were sterilized. Nobody knows this more than the doctors who mistreated them. At times, their response to such regret appears callous. “I follow a lot of kids into their mid twenties, I'm always like, ‘Oh, the dog isn't doing it for you, right?’ They're like, ‘No, I just found this wonderful partner and now we want kids. “I’m unaware of an individual claiming ability to orgasm when they were blocked at Tanner 2.” Many gender medicine patients lose sexual function, including experiencing orgasm. As such, they are not only deprived of sexual pleasure, they are significantly undermining their ability to form long-lasting romantic relationships. It’s clear from the Files that even many people within gender medicine do not understand this. On January 14, 2022, the surgeon and President of WPATH, Marci Bowers, explained this reality in a low-key way. Seven days later, a WPATH member asked Bowers to clarify.

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

“After 8-10 years of [testosterone, they] developed hepatocarcinomas… died a couple of months after.” For some gender medicine patients, there are fates worse than both sterility and loss of sexual function.

Part II: Mental Illness “A Patient Who Became Dangerous” On an unknown date, a San Francisco-based surgeon named Thomas Satterwhite posted an urgent new message to WPATH’s internal message board. “I had a patient who became dangerous/threatening to our care team post-op,” he wrote, “which ultimately ended in a restraining order.” Satterwhite explained that “This patient had undiagnosed mood disorders that did not surface until post-op, after which, she travelled around the country to find other surgeons to provide care.” It’s a chilling story, and one that raises many questions about the ethics and legality of gender-affirming medicine. At the top of that list is how did Satterwhite and his colleagues miss the fact that the person they operated upon had a serious psychiatric condition? But Satterwhite was focused on a more prosaic question: What was the best “medicolegal” way that he could warn other doctors and health care providers that his former patient was “potentially dangerous”? There is no evidence in the WPATH Files, nor elsewhere, that the experience shook Satterwhite enough to question whether gender-affirming care is, in reality, committed to the maxim, “First, do no harm.”

Our Awful History Of Mistreating Mental Illness Nations have struggled to care properly for people with mental illness and psychiatric disorders for centuries. After every past scandal, we pledge to do better next time, relying more on science than ideology. Readers of the WPATH Files may walk away with the sense that we have learned nothing. Repeatedly throughout the WPATH Files, we see gender medicine practitioners waive away evidence that mental illnesses and psychiatric disorders have been misdiagnosed as gender dysphoria. The WPATH Files are a picture of people single-mindedly committed to the hammer of gender medicine and thus seeing every patient who comes to them as a nail. https://environmentalprogress.org/big-news/wpath-files

“Disordered eating,” “purposeful malnutrition,” and a “high prevalence of eating disorders” A therapist raises concerns in a message about the age of a patient. “I have an incoming 13yo (soon to be 14 yo)... I was under the impression that is more the exception to start for kids under 16, not the norm…” But the person has another piece of troubling information. “A possible complication,” the therapist warns, is that it “sounds like there is some purposeful malnutrition and restrictive eating for ‘a more non-binary appearance.’” The chief medical officer of a health center in Texas chimed in that the therapist had best hurry the 13-year-old teenager along the gender-affirming path because “waiting appears to increase the rate of suicide,” which is one of several pseudoscientific myths repeated within the WPATH Files.

Part III: Ethics “I’m not aware of any other medical procedure that requires the approval of a therapist.” Frequently, WPATH members push back against “gatekeeping,” including the requirement for sound mental health before undergoing a lifelong regime of drugs and surgery.

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

“If an individual patient feels that they made a mistake… be careful with that not letting that change the way others receive care.” At times, WPATH members speak of the growing number of “detransitioners” who regret gender medicine. Some gender medicine practitioners express less concern for the detransitioners than for the threat they may pose to gender medicine.

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

“Patients need to own and take active responsibility for medical decisions, especially those that have potentially permanent effects." There is evidence within the WPATH Files of WPATH members, as well as its president, Marci Bowers, blaming their victims.

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

“Those conversations can be ongoing even after the intervention has occurred.” Readers of the WPATH Files may be struck, as we were, by how flexible WPATH members were in rationalizing their mistreatments. Faced with rising amounts of regret and detransition, WPATH members describe what’s happening as a “gender journey” not a single “transition.” And faced with their own failure to achieve informed consent, WPATH members re-frame it as a “process,” and an “on-going conversation.” “...informed consent [is a]... process... not one conversation at one point in time ... those conversations don't have to stop once the Medicaid and intervention has been started. Those conversations can be ongoing even after the intervention has occurred.”

You know, keeping keeping engaged with young people and letting them know that they can it's okay to change your mind. “What has been currently happening is, frankly, not what we need to be doing, ethically.” As we saw above, many WPATH members waive away the evidence of medical mistreatment. But others appear genuinely concerned by the lack of informed consent. A therapist describes talking to parents after they meet with a medical doctor. “I would go in, and say, ‘Okay, so tell me what you learned.’ They would be like, ‘We have no idea what they were talking about.’ “Part of it is that they feel less deferential to the kind of doctor I am than the kind of doctor the medical doctor is. "And because they really are seeking the care, they're just going to say they know when they really aren't picking up on what's happening. “And so I think the more we can normalize that it is okay to not get this right away, that it is okay to have questions, is, you know, the more we're going to actually do a real informed consent process than what I think has been currently happening and that I think is, frankly, not what we need to be doing ethically.” You can tell that her comment had an impact from the long and awkward pause that followed. /END

Experts are questioning the use of drugs and surgeries for gender-confused children due to sterility, loss of sexual function, and regret. A French Senate report calls it an ethical scandal. Concerns are raised about the lack of informed consent and the harmful effects of puberty blockers and hormones. The UK National Health Service has banned puberty blockers for kids. The report recommends banning surgeries, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones for minors. It also highlights the premature medicalization of children's anxiety and the stifling of debate by trans activists.

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

For years, experts said we should give drugs and surgeries to kids confused about their gender. Given the sterility, loss of sexual function, and regret, that's been changing. Now, a French Senate report calls it “one of the greatest ethical scandals in the history of medicine."

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

"Maud Vasselle, a mother whose daughter underwent gender transition treatment, told Le Figaro: 'A child is not old enough to ask to have her body altered. "'My daughter just needed the certificate of a psychiatrist, which she obtained after a one-hour consultation. But doctors don’t explain the consequences of puberty blockers,' she added. “'My daughter didn’t realise that life wasn’t going to be so easy with all these treatments... She was a brilliant little girl but now she’s failing at school. And she is far from having found the solution to her problems.'" https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/03/23/french-les-republicains-medical-report-sex-reassignment/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1711212301

Sex reassignment in minors may be medical history’s ‘greatest ethical scandal’, French report says Senators want to table a Bill banning gender transition treatments for under-18s telegraph.co.uk

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

The French Senate report comes in the wake of leaked WPATH Files, which show that "gender medicine" doctors, therapists, and activists know they're causing harm and not getting informed consent from their victims.

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

It's only a matter of time before the pseudoscience quackery known as "gender medicine" goes the way of blood-letting, leeches, and lobotomies. Future generations will look back on gender medicine with horror and try to understand how it happened.

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

The French Senate report urges a ban on surgeries, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones (i.e., testosterone for girls and estrogen for boys). Here's the full list of recommendations (translated using Google) 1. Impose the evaluation and diagnosis of the transidentity of minors by local child psychiatry teams (CMP, child psychiatry services, Adolescent Center, CMPP, city child psychiatrists, etc.). 2. In the presence of psychopathological and/or neurodevelopmental disorders, provide, as a first intention, psychiatric and/or psychotherapeutic care for the child and his family. 3. If gender-related distress has persisted since early childhood, and the young person does not present any associated major psychopathological disorder, in this situation alone, refer the minor to a service specializing in gender incongruence, like this which is practiced in several northern European countries. 4. Ban the prescription of puberty blockers to minors for the indication of gender dysphoria. (For young people currently under treatment, this will not be interrupted. At the time of prescribing cross-hormones (if this remains desired): reassessment of the psychological state of the young person, their care and their consent.) 5. Ban so-called sex reassignment surgery on minors. Furthermore, recent contributions from neuroscience on the subject of brain maturity show that it continues to evolve up to the age of 25, calling for caution for any surgical “ reassignment ” before this age. 6. Ban the prescription and administration of cross hormones to all minors. 7. Provide specific reception at the hospital for people who wish to detransition and promote research into the quality of care to be provided to them. 8. Advocate, in the field of research, the systematic review of data, based on evidence, following the example of EBM (evidence based medicine) practices applied in medicine. Original report: https://www.observatoirepetitesirene.org/_files/ugd/49b30a_e25fe83f43e5431b8c447ad27aa23e3e.pdf Translation:

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

The French Senate report raises the same issue as raised by the WPATH Files: children aren't able to give "informed consent" to future sterility and loss of sexual function. — "The important question that arises is that of the age at which a minor is capable of consenting to these treatments, which have significant repercussions on their future sexual and emotional life. — "Today, a minor with gender issues can consult a dedicated center, a private or public hospital, or a non- specialist doctor in town, and be prescribed medication, without a marketing authorization (AMM), without precise rules being imposed at the national level. — "Several critical international studies highlight the adverse effects of puberty blockers, which have not been the subject of sufficient research into their long-term impacts. The reversibility of treatments does not seem as complete as prescribers claim. On the other hand, the side effects are well known. — Several experts interviewed considered that current treatment guidelines do not meet the standard of care required in the medico-legal field, particularly in terms of compliance with methodological standards. There is consensus in the medical community that treatment guidelines should be revised based on the results of systematic reviews of the evidence."

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

The French Senate report warns that diagnosing children with "gender dysphoria" results in the premature medicalization of their anxiety — "The diagnosis of 'gender dysphoria,' as shaped by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), seems to accelerate the journey of many adolescents in pubertal distress towards a medical transition, on the grounds that their feelings have diagnostic value, regardless of possible comorbidities, the influence of social networks or even that of peers."

@shellenberger - Michael Shellenberger

The report notes that trans activists have stifled debate, undermined science, and inserted themselves in between parents and children in the name of preventing discrimination: — "In France, as abroad, it appears that the scientific and medical debate on the subject is tense. Under the cover of the necessary fight against discrimination and for the rights of minorities, certain associations attempt to impose in national and international bodies the principle of the self-determination of the child, to the detriment of parental authority and quality scientific evidence."

We're seeing a society that not only has a lot more people of lower IQ, but a lot fewer people of higher IQ. In other words, a dumbing down a chemical dumbing down of society. So everyone's sort of mediocre. That leaves them dependent on government because they can't excel. We have these people of lower IQ are totally dependent. Then we have this massive people who are gonna believe anything they're told because they can't really think clearly. And very few people of very high IQ have good cognitive function who can figure this all out. And that's what they want. I recently explored the impact of Tipper Gore's advocacy for early mental health intervention in the 1990s, which coincided with a significant rise in prescriptions for children. After her push for medication, especially following the 1999 mental health summit, prescriptions surged, particularly after the Columbine shooting, where one shooter was on antidepressants. Now, we face a second generation affected by this over-medication, as parents who were medicated often believe their children need the same treatment. This ongoing crisis is deeply concerning.

@LibertarianMama - Libertarian Mama 🔔

I just fell down a RABBIT HOLE. Tipper Gore, wife of Al, former Second Lady (?) in 1993 made it her platform for early mental health intervention for children. She was the mental health advisor to the White House healthcare reform task force, and pushed for early intervention with drugs for children. Anyone who was in school before this time period like I was can attest to there not being a mental health “crisis” like we have today. But after that time, what happened? There was a massive increase in prescriptions for children starting in 1994 and going through 2001, with a HUGE increase after 1999. In 1999, Tipper headlined a mental health summit where she expressed that early intervention was key. (She suffered from depression and took medication). 1999 was also when the first major school shooting in Columbine occurred. One of the shooters was taking Luvox, a psychotropic antidepressant. It’s the meds. And the Gores not only caused the climate hysteria, they’re responsible for the over medication of children. It’s. The. Meds.

Other researchers have faced similar consequences for revealing vaccine-related data. I highlighted concerns about the lack of proper testing for vaccines, the deletion of the CDC's vaccine injury database, and the potential link between mass vaccination and rising chronic illnesses. It's crucial for parents to demand informed consent and raise awareness about these issues to reclaim control over health decisions.

Months later, the study was retracted. Dr. Paul Thomas isn’t the only one who faced swift punishment for publishing inconvenient science. Other doctors have faced similar consequences for exposing the same pattern. The question is: Why are doctors being punished simply for comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated kids? 🧵 THREAD

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

The information in this thread comes from the work of medical researcher @MidwesternDoc. For all the sources and details, read the full 20,000-word report below: midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-much-dam…

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

The CDC deleted its vaccine injury database (VSD)—right before RFK Jr. could access it. Getting access to the VSD has been a goal of the vaccine safety community and one of the things RFK pledged to do if he ever assumed office. So rogue HHS employees literally erased the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD) to block RFK Jr. from reviewing the data. That’s not a conspiracy theory. It’s completely real. And really crazy. The only reason you would do that is if you have something to hide. So, what were they trying to hide?

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

This often-repeated line is true: Vaccines have never been properly tested. There has never been a true placebo-controlled trial of the entire childhood vaccine schedule. Yet this schedule is pushed on every child and parents who hesitate or ask questions are ridiculed. Why haven’t they been tested? Because withholding vaccines is considered “unethical” (even when there’s no proof they’re safe in the first place). So they can’t be tested. That’s the scam. Never mind the fact that it seems ethics is now missing from medicine altogether anyway…

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

@MidwesternDoc Knowing all this and after what happened during the COVID-19 pandemic, it would be incredibly irresponsible to push ahead as we have been for years. We must ask, what has mass vaccination done to society? (See the full explanation here) https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-much-damage-has-mass-vaccination

Why don’t doctors notice and speak out? Doctors who expose vaccine harm have lost everything. Dr. Paul Thomas published data comparing 2,763 vaccinated kids to 561 unvaccinated kids born into his practice. He plotted their total visits and found that unvaccinated kids were far healthier across the board. That’s BIG NEWS and something every parent needs to know. But what happened next? They revoked Dr. Thomas’ medical license.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

@MidwesternDoc Brian Hooker and Neil Miller later did something similar. Their study included data from 3 different pediatric practices. They analyzed 2,047 children who had been born within the medical practice between November 2005 to June 2015.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

@MidwesternDoc In 2007, Generation Rescue hired a third-party polling firm to do a survey of 17,674 children. 991 of them were completely unvaccinated.

Mass vaccination may be the real cause of the chronic illness epidemic. Asthma. ADHD. Autism. Autoimmune disorders. They’ve all exploded and it’s been alongside the rapidly increasing vaccine schedule. The more shots a child receives, the sicker they become. It’s not a coincidence. It’s a pattern. And we have to pay attention!

@MidwesternDoc What if autism is actually vaccine-induced brain damage? @MidwesternDoc lays out the case in this eye-opening article. • Encephalitis is a known vaccine injury • Autism symptoms overlap with mild encephalitis midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-much-dam…

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

A whistleblower once exposed the CDC altering data to hide vaccine-autism links. He confessed. But the media ignored it. The medical establishment ridiculed him. And the CDC buried all the evidence. Don’t underestimate how far they’ll go to protect the narrative. This is a billion-dollar scheme.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

During COVID, vaccine injuries were so widespread that they couldn’t cover it up. • 7% of recipients reported major side effects • Sudden deaths in young, healthy people • A huge spike in myocarditis, strokes, and neurological disorders Even the CDC’s own data showed mass harm.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

But they didn’t fix it. Instead they hid the data and they silenced discussion. The CDC’s “V-Safe” app quietly collected reports of injury from COVID vaccine recipients. And it revealed massive harm. But instead of sounding the alarm, officials published a summary that distorted the numbers to create an illusion of safety.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

They hoped no one noticed but people began connecting the dots, and what they found was terrifying. Vaccine-induced brain damage isn’t rare. It’s everywhere. The effects can be subtle, so we don’t even notice it’s happening. Things like emotional detachment, learning disorders, problems with impulsivity, and declining IQ. We’re living in a vaccinated society, and that doesn’t appear to be a good thing.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

This isn’t new. Every few decades, the same disaster strikes. A rushed vaccine hits the market, causes injury, gets covered up, and then everyone magically forgets and believes that vaccines can do no harm. It started with smallpox in 1798 and has repeated ever since. COVID-19 was just the latest.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

The ongoing rise in crime might be linked to vaccine injury. Historian Harris Coulter showed how post-vaccine encephalitis mimics the traits of violent criminals. These traits can include a lack of empathy, hypersexuality, sudden rage, and neurological tics. Vaccines like rabies, diphtheria, and DPT repeatedly caused encephalitis and even cranial nerve damage. Vaccines are quietly reshaping society in ways we can’t even begin to understand.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

It doesn’t help that doctors have been trained to ignore what’s right in front of them. The signs, like asymmetrical facial muscles, eye tracking glitches, stunted emotional development, are subtle and usually ignored. Those who dare to notice and get to the bottom of it are quickly labeled “anti-vax” and punished.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

All of this begs the question: What else are they hiding? There’s evidence that the HPV vaccine caused autoimmune disorders in 2.3% of trial participants. But Merck made billions, and the shot is still mandated. This isn’t about medicine. It’s marketing and profits. The victims are children, and hardly anyone seems to care. The marketing must be more like brainwashing.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

Did you know that the childhood vaccine schedule ballooned after Big Pharma got immunity? Weird, isn’t it? In 1986, Congress shielded vaccine makers from lawsuits. And ever since then, the number of childhood vaccines has exploded and continues to climb. Curiously, chronic disease rates have skyrocketed as well. And not one study has tested the full schedule for safety. Because that would be “immoral”. Giant eye roll.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

It’s not out of the question that way may be spending trillions treating vaccine injuries—without realizing it. Every illness they can’t explain (which is a lot of them).. Every behavioral disorder they normalize… Every drug they prescribe to mask symptoms (and create more)... Might be linked to the same root cause! And they’re making you pay for it. We’re stuck in a vicious cycle. We have to break out of it before it’s too late. This is absolutely not sustainable.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

So what happens now? What do we do? First, parents need to rise up and demand that no vaccine should ever be mandated. Next, it’s about awareness. Educate yourself—and make sure at least one other person learns the truth, too. The only way to end this nightmare is for the truth to come out—and for the public to finally take back control of their health.

@VigilantFox - The Vigilant Fox 🦊

@MidwesternDoc They say vaccine injury is “rare.” But the data clearly tells a very different story. And if even half of this is true, we’re not just facing a health crisis, we’re facing the biggest medical cover-up in history.

I reflect on the evolution of the gay rights movement, noting its significant victories, such as marriage equality and protections against discrimination. However, I observe a troubling shift towards radicalization, focusing on gender ideology rather than the original goals of equality and respect. The movement now emphasizes a rejection of the sex binary, leading to contentious debates around gender-affirming care for minors. While I support trans rights, I worry about the implications of these changes for gay and lesbian identities and the potential backlash against our hard-won rights. We must protect our achievements while fostering open dialogue.

Opinion | How the Gay Rights Movement Radicalized, and Lost Its Way (Gift Article) How the Gay Rights Movement Radicalized, and Lost Its Way nytimes.com

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

Ten years ago Thursday, the movement for gay and lesbian equality scored a victory that only a decade before had seemed unimaginable. We won equal rights to civil marriage in every state in the country. In 2020 came another stunning win. In a majority opinion written by one of President Trump’s nominees, Justice Neil Gorsuch, the Supreme Court found that gay men, lesbians and transgender men and women are covered under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and protected from employer discrimination. In 2024, the Republican Party removed opposition to marriage equality from its platform, and the current Republican Treasury secretary, Scott Bessent, is a married gay man with two children. Gay marriage is backed by around 70 percent of Americans, and discrimination against gay men, lesbians and transgender people is opposed by 80 percent. As civil rights victories go, it doesn’t get more decisive or comprehensive than this.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

But a funny thing happened in the wake of these triumphs. Far from celebrating victory, defending the gains, staying vigilant, but winding down as a movement that had achieved its core objectives — including the end of H.I.V. in the United States as an unstoppable plague — gay and lesbian rights groups did the opposite. Swayed by the broader liberal shift to the “social justice” left, they radicalized.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

In 2023, the Human Rights Campaign @HRC, the largest gay, lesbian and transgender civil rights group in the country, declared a “state of emergency” for gay men, lesbians and transgender people — the first time in the organization’s existence. It had not declared a state of emergency when gay men were jailed for having sex in private, when the AIDS epidemic killed hundreds of thousands of gay men or when we faced a possible constitutional amendment banning marriage equality in 2004. In fact, we found out, this “emergency” was almost entirely in response to new state bills proposing restrictions on medical treatment for minors with gender dysphoria; bathroom and locker room bans; and transgender issues in school curricula and sports.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

Nonetheless, the money has poured into gay, lesbian and transgender groups in the past decade. Charitable funding for such groups totaled $387 million in 2012, according to the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy’s Equitable Giving Lab. By 2021, it was $823 million. L.G.B.T.Q.+ organizations also saw their assets grow 76 percent from 2019 to 2021 — around double the size of their increase in donations. A group like @GLAAD — founded in 1985 to combat anti-gay media bias in the depths of the AIDS epidemic — saw its funding increase sixfold between 2014 and 2023. The Human Rights Campaign @HRC has also seen revenues soar in the past decade.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

But this huge increase in funding was no longer primarily about gay, lesbian and transgender civil rights, because almost all had already been won. It was instead about a new and radical gender revolution. Focused on ending what activists saw as the oppression of the sex binary, which some critical gender and queer theorists associated with “white supremacy,” they aimed to dissolve natural distinctions between men and women in society, to replace biological sex with “gender identity” in the law and culture, and to redefine homosexuality, in the process, not as a neutral fact of the human condition but as a liberating ideological “queerness” meant to subvert and “queer” language, culture and society in myriad different ways.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

The words gay and lesbian all but disappeared. L.G.B.T. became L.G.B.T.Q., then L.G.B.T.Q.+, and more letters and characters kept being added: L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+ or 2S.L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+ (to include intersex, asexual people and two-spirit Indigenous people). The plus sign referred to a seemingly infinite number of new niche identities, and, by some counts, more than 70 new “genders.” The point was that this is all one revolutionary, intersectional community of gender-diverse people, and intertwined with other left causes, from Black Lives Matter to Queers for Palestine.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

They needed a new banner for that. So the rainbow flag, invented back in 1978 at the request of Harvey Milk, was replaced over the last few years by a new “Progress” flag, representing intersectional oppression. Black and brown stripes were added to the rainbow — for Black and brown people (and the people lost during the AIDS crisis) — and pink, light blue and white for trans people. That flag now demarcates a place not simply friendly to all types of people, as the old rainbow flag did, but a place where anyone who does not subscribe to intersectional left ideology is unwelcome.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

“Queer” was a way of summing up the new regime, a clear sign that this really was a different movement than the gay, lesbian and transgender civil rights movement of the past. It’s a word that can easily trigger gay men over 40 who remember it as the last slur they once heard before being bashed in the head. But one of the striking aspects of the younger queer generation is their disdain for those who came before them.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

As I watched all this radical change, I wondered, was I just another old fart, shaking my fist at the sky, like every older generation known to man? Why not just accept that the next gay and lesbian generation has new ideas, has moved on, and old-timers like me should just move aside? And some of the changes are indeed welcome. The greater acceptance of trans people is a huge step forward for all of us. But then, as I told my friends (gay, trans and everyone else), I’d always believed this and always supported trans civil rights. I was glad when, five years ago, the Supreme Court gave transgender people civil rights protection in employment. I’ve also long lived in a gay world that is skewed left, and, along with my fellow gay non-lefties, I’ve long made my peace with it, or tried to.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

But this new ideology, I believed, was different. Like many gays and lesbians — and a majority of everybody else — I simply didn’t buy it. I didn’t and don’t believe that being a man or a woman has nothing to do with biology. My sexual orientation is based on a biological distinction between men and women: I’m attracted to the former and not to the latter. And now I was supposed to believe the difference didn’t exist? I’m more than happy to accept that there are some people — not all that many — who don’t fit in that binary, and want to be protected from discrimination and allowed full access to medical interventions in order to live lives that are true to who they are. And I’m with them all the way. After all, I, too, am a part of a minority — most people live their lives governed by heterosexual desires. Thanks to the gay and lesbian movement, I’m not being asked to.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

But abolishing the sex binary for the entire society? That’s a whole other thing entirely. And madness, I believe. What if I redefined what it is to be heterosexual and imposed it on straight people? Or changed what it means to be a man or a woman, for that matter? Then it ceases to be accommodation of a minority and becomes a societywide revolution — an overreach that would soon lead to a potent and sane backlash, against not just trans people, but gay men and lesbians as well.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

The gay rights movement, especially in the marriage years, had long asked for simple liberal equality and mutual respect — live and let live. Reform, not revolution. No one’s straight marriage would change if gay marriage arrived, we pledged. You can bring up your children however you like. We will leave you alone. We will leave your children alone. But in the wake of victory, L.G.B.T.Q.+ groups reneged on that pledge. They demanded the entire society change in a fundamental way so that the sex binary no longer counted. Elementary school children were taught that being a boy or a girl might not have anything to do with their bodies, and that their parents had merely guessed whether they were a boy or a girl when they were born. In fact, sex was no longer to be recognized at birth — it was now merely assigned, penciled in. We got new terms like “chest-feeding” for “breastfeeding” and “birthing parent” for “mother."

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

A key leader of this movement, Chase Strangio, informed us that “a penis is not a male body part. It’s just an unusual body part for a woman.” We all were suddenly expected to announce our pronouns as if everyone didn’t already know. Then neopronouns — xe/xem! — were added. The movement came up with a mantra: “TRANS WOMEN ARE WOMEN. TRANS MEN ARE MEN.” It was not an argument, nor a proposition to be explored or debated. It was a theological command. In all caps.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

Was there any debate among gays and lesbians about this profound change, a vote taken, or even a poll of gay men and lesbians? None that I can find or recall. And, as in other “social justice” spaces, dissent was equated with bigotry. Dissenters from gender ideology are routinely unfriended, shunned and shamed. Almost all of the gay men, trans people and lesbians who have confided in me that they don’t agree with this, or think that @JK_Rowling or @Martina Navratilova have some good points, have said so sotto voce lest anyone overhear. That’s the extremely intolerant and illiberal atmosphere that now exists in the gay, lesbian and transgender space. This little community used to champion all manner of expression or argument or speech, eccentrics and visionaries. Now it’s fearful, self-censored and extremely uptight. Debate has been all but snuffed out; total uniformity of thought is demanded.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

But this illiberalism made a fateful, strategic mistake. In the gay rights movement, there had always been an unspoken golden rule: Leave children out of it. We knew very well that any overreach there could provoke the most ancient blood libel against us: that we groom and abuse kids. You can bring up your children however you like, we promised. We will leave you alone. We will leave your children alone. So what did the gender revolutionaries go and do? They focused almost entirely on children and minors. Partly because the adult issues had been resolved or close to it, and partly because true cultural revolutions start with the young, it meant overhauling the education not only of children with gender dysphoria, but of every other kid as well.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

Kids all over the country were impacted. Your children were taught in elementary school that being a boy or a girl was something they could choose and change at will. Your daughter found herself running against a trans girl (i.e. a biological male) in athletics. Children in elementary school got to pick pronouns, and some children socially transitioned at school without their parents’ knowledge or permission. I suppose there are other ways you can resurrect the ghost of Anita Bryant, and all the homophobic paranoia that followed her, but this will probably do the trick.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

And then most radical of all: gender-affirming care for minors, which can lead to irreversible sex changes for children. The “care” included off-label “blockers” to arrest puberty, almost always followed with cross-sex hormones. To begin with, gays and lesbians, including me, empathized with kids with gender dysphoria, and trusted the medical profession with the rest. If this helped kids or even saved their lives, as was often emphasized, what business was it of mine? If transitioning this young in life would helped some pass better as adults, good for them.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

Still, questions lingered, drawn from my own life. As a child, uninterested in playing team sports but very interested in the boys who played team sports, I was once asked by a girl when I was just 10 years old, “Are you sure you’re not really a girl?” Of course not, I replied. But I wonder how I might have responded if someone in authority — a parent or a teacher or a doctor — had suggested that my difference and occasional anxiety was because I was, in fact, a girl. That my body was irrelevant, and that I could choose to be the opposite sex before puberty and all my confusions would disappear. I just don’t know what I would have said or done, to be honest.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

And how do today’s parents, teachers and doctors know for surethat a 10-year-old child isn’t, well, like me, and really is trans? How can they know for sure that the gender dysphoria isn’t instead a manifestation of being gay or lesbian and wanting to change it? How do they know for sure there isn’t another complicating personal or psychological factor? I was told not to worry. A child had to demonstrate a “persistent, consistent and insistent” trans identity for years even to be considered for medical intervention.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

But this, I found out, was no longer true. The whole point of the new regime of gender-affirming care was that it rejected broad mental health assessments of children that could ensure that mistakes really didn’t happen. The old “persistent, consistent and insistent” model was deemed transphobic and loosened to become an affirmation policy. As soon as a kid said he or she was the opposite sex, further counseling and mental health exploration was deemed problematic, because it amounted to transphobic conversion therapy, we were told. When I said that seemed crazy, and that surely we needed more safeguards, I was sternly told, “Children know who they are.”

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

But do they? When they are between 9 and 13? I sure didn’t. Does any parent really believe this? Solid long-term data on how many children who transition but decide later it was a mistake is hard to find, in large part because the procedures are relatively new and the studies often have very poor follow-up. But without a doubt, there are some. They are walking around today, testifying in courts and legislatures, opining all over the web, telling similar stories of rushed judgments, minimal safeguards, inadequate gate-keeping and agonizing regret that as children they made irreversible decisions they could not meaningfully consent to.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

I have met many. They break your heart. And so many of the gender-dysphoric kids are gay and lesbian. Of course they are, and there are many more children who will grow up to be gay and lesbian than who will grow up to be trans. When adolescents referred to a British gender clinic were asked about their sexualityin 2012, some 90 percent of females and 80 percent of males said they were same-sex attracted or bisexual.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

In the Netherlands, the famous Dutch protocol for gender-affirming care was pioneered in the 1990s with far stricter safeguards in place than exist in the United States today. There, of a cohort of 70 adolescents referred to an Amsterdam clinic from 2000 to 2008, 62 were same-sex attracted. And it’s easy to see that one way to “cure” yourself of attraction to the same sex is to become the opposite one. At Britain’s now-shuttered Tavistock clinic, according to the investigative journalist Hannah Barnes, staff members had a dark joke that at the rate they were going, there would be “no gay people left.” This is why sex-change surgeries are permitted and even subsidized in Iran: It’s a way to rid the country of gay people.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

And a fix for gender dysphoria for gay and lesbian kids can be puberty itself, as it was for me and many of my gay male friends. Once my own hormones kicked in, my anxieties evaporated. I lovedbeing a boy, I realized. Puberty blockers literally block gay and lesbian kids from the chance at that possible resolution of their gender dysphoria. There is a real conflict here, and it’s obscured by the L.G.B.T.Q.+ identity.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

We were also told, repeatedly, that transitioning children was drastic, but the alternative could be that they would commit suicide. “We often ask parents, ‘Would you rather have a dead son than a live daughter?’” Johanna Olson-Kennedy, a vocal advocate of these treatments, told ABC News in 2011. But even the American Civil Liberties Union @ACLU’s Mr. Strangio admitted, when arguing before the Supreme Court last year, that suicide “thankfully and admittedly is rare.” In one study from Britain, of some 15,000 adolescents referred for gender care over a decade, there were four likely or confirmed suicides two who had been seen and two had not. One suicide is awful — and suicidality is real among kids with gender dysphoria. But that doesn’t mean that suicide is what will happen if you don’t transition a child.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

One specific concern for boys who transition to girls in early puberty. “If you’ve never had an orgasm pre-surgery, and then your puberty’s blocked, it’s very difficult to achieve that afterwards,” a pioneering trans surgeon, Dr. Marci Bowers, has said. Research on this is minimal, and so caution is necessary in jumping to conclusions. But I ask myself: If there is a risk that some people will be denied sexual pleasure for their entire life because they transitioned very early, is it worth it? And how can a child understand what giving up orgasms for life might mean when he hasn’t experienced a single one? The obvious answer is that he can’t, and it’s profoundly unethical to put him in that situation. And who exactly is looking out for these kids? Certainly not the L.G.B.T.Q. organizations.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

How did a movement that began with sexual liberation end up doing that? By drift, activist extremism, a social media bubble and suppression of free debate. Soon enough, the right began associating what used to be the lesbian and gay movement with this gender extremism, and the L.G.B.T.Q.+ movement responded not by moderating tone or substance, but by closing ranks, seemingly determined to prove its point.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

Dissent became anathema. When this newspaper reported on controversies in gender medicine, GLAAD parked a billboard truck outside the New York Times Building on several occasions, demanding the coverage change. In relatively new, disputed medical territory, partisans have insisted that “the science is settled.” When a book came out criticizing childhood transition, Mr. Strangio declared: “Stopping the circulation of this book and these ideas is 100% a hill I will die on.” Public speeches by dissenters have faced abuse, intimidation, and far too often, threats of violence.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

It’s a horrible reversal of history: For so long, First Amendment rights were the primary constitutional right gays and lesbians could fully and regularly exercise, and we treasured them. If censorship was in the air, gay men and lesbians were the first to oppose it. We knew who was shut up first when it came to shutting people up, and we knew we would always be a small minority. The idea that we would tell other people what words they can use, shut down speakers, criticize journalists and threaten others into silence was once absurd. Yet these are now the signature tools of the L.G.B.T.Q.+ movement. They do not seek to engage or persuade opponents; they seek to demonize, bully or cancel them.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

Or take the campaign for marriage equality. We were almost pathologically civil, willing to debate anyone anywhere, and the harder the nut to crack, the better. For two decades, I went to fundamentalist churches in Idaho, Mormon groups, Catholic universities, conservative media, right-wing talk shows and C-SPAN, and published an anthology that included views from bothsides. We knew that if we wanted to win, and not just posture, we needed to reach conservatives and moderates and explore where we might agree. And it worked! It took time, and we were laughed at at first, but you could see the polling slowly, inexorably shift toward us, from one-quarter to two-thirds in our favor from the 1990s to the 2010s, as our arguments and openness slowly, person by person, won over the country.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

Now, look at the recent results of the L.G.B.T.Q.+ movement. In the last five years, activists have actually managed to move public opinion away from their causes in many respects. In 2021, for example, 62 percent of Americans said that transgender athletes should be able to play only on teams that matched their gender at birth; by 2023, that figure had risen to 69 percent. This is not bigotry at work. This year, the very same pollster found that a solid majority of Americans — 56 percent — favor policies protecting trans people from discrimination. Americans are broadly fine with transgender people. They are fine with gay people. They just reject replacing the fact of biological sex with the phantasms of gender ideology.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

And it’s not because most people don’t know any trans people personally. When people who know a trans person personally were polled, only 40 percent in 2021 supported their competing in teams that matched their gender identity; by 2023, that dropped to 30 percent. On the medical question, 46 percent of Americanssupported banning medical care related to gender transitions for minors in 2022. Today, as people have learned more, 56 percent do. Trans extremism was taken up with gusto by Republicans as an issue and it most likely helped move swing voters to Mr. Trump last year. In one post-election survey, cultural issues, including transgender issues, were slightly more salient for swing voters than even immigration and inflation.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

I hoped this might prompt a rethink as the election results sank in. Last week’s Skrmetti decision at the Supreme Court was another reality check, as the court upheld Tennessee’s ban on certain medical treatments for transgender youth, including puberty blockers and hormone therapy, rejecting claims that the ban violated the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause and shielding similar laws in other states. When the ruling came down, the mood among L.G.B.T.Q.+ groups was defiant. So the ranks are being closed again.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

If Mr. Trump is against childhood sex reassignment, then we must be for it. If Mr. Trump says there are two sexes, we must insist that there is a spectrum. It will be very hard to break this dynamic in such a tribal atmosphere, especially when there is genuine transphobia among some on the right. But it would be incredibly healthy if we were to allow an actual debate in the community about the direction we are headed in, and treat dissenters less like bigots and traitors. Representative Sarah McBride, the first openly trans member of Congress, echoed this sentiment on @EzraKlein’s podcast last week. But she was condemned on social media as a traitor to trans people.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

This intransigence matters because, left on its current trajectory, the L.G.B.T.Q.+ gender movement carries significant risks for gay, lesbian and trans equality. Gallup found that satisfaction with the acceptance of gay and lesbian people peaked at 62 percent in 2022 but dropped to 51 percent by January of this year. The center and right — whom some of us spent a lifetime engaging — are being lost. Gallup showed Republican support for gay marriage dropping from 55 to 46 percent between 2022 and 2025.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

History strongly suggests that periods of toleration of gay men and lesbians can swiftly end if the public senses an overreach. That may be where we now are. No society has ever been as free for gay men, lesbians and transgender people as the modern West today. There is no such thing as the Human Rights Campaign’s “state of emergency,” and it was absurd to say so. But for some activists, there has to be. As Francis Fukuyama put it in “The End of History and the Last Man,” “Experience suggests that if men cannot struggle on behalf of a just cause because that just cause was victorious in an earlier generation, then they will struggle againstthe just cause.”

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

Returning to a civil rights model and abandoning the quixotic attempt to end the sex binary do not mean, as some might have it, throwing trans people under the bus. Trans people are already on the bus; they are protected from employment discrimination under the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Their existing rights should be defended and expanded to public accommodations — especially the adult right to have access to gender medicine through Medicaid, which is now being threatened. Americans should back us on that. But fighting a losing battle to allow trans women to compete in women’s sports and for biological men to be in women’s intimate spaces, and to perpetuate risky, inadequately tested sex changes on children, including gay and lesbian ones, is dumb, offensive to common sense and risks a much bigger backlash.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

This does not mean the L.G.B.T.Q.+ project should be shut down entirely. We need to defend our wins; we need to protect the interests of gays, lesbians and trans people. We need to greatly expand help and care for children with gender dysphoria, prevent bullying and increase mental health resources. Protecting them from often irreversible sex changes should not mean abandoning them. It should mean renewed concern, support and, above all, solid, evidence-based research on how best we can help.

@benryanwriter - Benjamin Ryan

But in America, on, this anniversary of the Obergefell decision, we also need to remember a critical thing: We won. We won because we defended free speech, reached out to right and left and center, left others and children alone — and trusted liberal democracy. That trust was rewarded with one of the swiftest successes in civil rights history. Let’s not throw it away.

Chronic illness in children has surged alarmingly, with rates jumping from 12.4% in the 1980s to over 50% today. Conditions like autoimmune diseases, ADHD, and depression are rampant, with 95% more girls experiencing depression and significant increases in childhood cancer and heart issues. The current vaccine schedule, starting at birth, and a reliance on pharmaceuticals are highlighted as potential culprits. I question why there isn’t more scrutiny on these alarming trends affecting our children’s health.

The Greatest Decline in Human Health Ever Recorded – Our Children Are the Canary in the Coal Mine Del Bigtree delivers a chilling wake-up call: Chronic illness in children has skyrocketed from 12.4% in the 1980s to over 50% today. Autoimmune diseases, neurological disorders, depression, ADHD—our kids are sicker than any generation in history. 🔴 95% increase in depression among girls—10% of teen girls are on antidepressants. 🔴 15% of boys on ADHD meds—yet symptoms keep worsening. 🔴 25% of girls report suicidal thoughts or psychotic episodes. 🔴 Cancer in children up 40% since 1975. 🔴 Heart attack warnings for 6-year-olds. 🔴 EpiPens in every classroom—anaphylaxis was unheard of decades ago. What’s causing this? 💉 A vaccine schedule unlike any in history—starting Day 1 of life with a hepatitis B shot (for a disease only 0.5% of mothers carry). By 18, kids receive 72-90 vaccines, priming their immune systems for disaster. 💊 A generation raised on pharmaceuticals—boys born in 2019 will spend 48% of their lives on meds; girls, 60%. SSRIs, ADHD drugs, and more are handed out like candy, trapping kids in a cycle of dependency. 🌍 We are the only mammal devolving. Our immune systems attack our own bodies. Allergies, autism, autoimmune disorders—none of this was normal when we were kids. Why is no one asking why?

According to the speaker, chronic illness in children has risen from 12.4% in the 1980s to over 50% today, marking a significant decline in human health. Depression in girls has risen by 95%, with 10% of teenage girls on antidepressants. 15% of boys are on ADHD medication, and 25% of girls have considered suicide. The speaker claims that SSRI drugs, though increasingly prescribed, target serotonin, which is not the actual cause of depression. It's estimated that nearly half of boys and over half of girls born in 2019 will be on pharmaceutical drugs for most of their lives. Childhood cancer rates are up 40% since 1975, and heart attacks in children are now a recognized concern. The speaker suggests that environmental toxins, including a vaccine program that starts on day one of life, may be responsible. They state that the Hepatitis B vaccine, typically contracted through sexual activity or IV drug use, is mandated for day-old babies in the US, despite only 0.5% of mothers testing positive. The speaker believes that the current vaccine schedule of 72 to 90 vaccines by age 18 is contributing to the chronic disease epidemic.

Speaker 0: You know, we have seen a rapid decline in health, especially in our children. As it's been pointed out, by Robert Kennedy Junior, the new HHS secretary, we have gone from twelve point four percent chronic illness in our children in the nineteen eighties, just in the nineteen eighties when I was in high school, we had twelve point four percent chronic illness, which meant either autoimmune disease or neurological disorders in our children. Now, at this point in time, we are passing fifty percent, some say fifty four percent of our children now have chronic disease, permanent disease, either neurological or autoimmune disease. That is the greatest decline in human health that has ever been recorded. For some reason, our species, we are the only mammal that is devolving on the face of the planet right now as we speak. We are not able to handle disease, and our own immune systems are attacking our own bodies. We've watched depression rising in our girls by ninety five percent. More girls are on antidepressants now than they were just over ten years ago. Roughly ten percent of our teenage girls are on antidepressant drugs. Fifteen percent of our boys in school are on ADHD medications and yet the rates keep rising, depression keeps rising, twenty five percent of girls say they have had a suicidal thought or psychotic episode, And so still we look the other way and we ask what's doing this. We also know that the SSRI drugs are targeting serotonin which is now known to not actually be the cause of depression, yet those drugs are being pushed out more and more and more on our children and many books are being written about the fact that these kids can't get off of these drugs. When they try to get off of the drug, their doctor immediately says that the side effects from getting off the drug are actually their symptoms and they put them right back on the drugs. And so now we're looking at a generation of kids that are growing up without a sober day in their lives. It is estimated that boys born in 02/2019, forty eight percent of their life will be on a pharmaceutical drug, at least one. And girls born in 02/2019, sixty percent of their life they will be on a pharmaceutical drug. As I look out in this audience, I have to ask you, do you remember us being that sick when we were kids? No. Do you remember the peanut allergies? Do you remember the depression? Did you remember our inability to sit still in class? Something is happening. We're giving more and more drugs, prescribing more and more drugs, calling out more and more issues and the problems are only getting worse. Cancer in our children is up forty percent since 1975. Forty percent and now we are seeing commercials about heart attacks in children saying, you must recognize that a six year old girl can collapse on the soccer field with a heart attack. You should be aware of this. There's an EpiPen in every single class because of anaphylactic reactions, things that never existed when we were kids. I would like to pose to you that there are many things that could be causing this, many environmental toxins, one of them being a vaccine program that starts at day one of life. We have decided, the pharmaceutical industry has decided that giving a hepatitis b vaccine to a day one old baby is mandatory in The United States Of America. This is a sexually transmitted disease you can only get sharing heroin needles or sleeping with prostitutes, yet we force mothers to give this to their day one old baby. Even after we test them whether they're positive for hepatitis b or not. And only point five percent of birth is the mother positive. So ninety nine point five percent of our babies are receiving a vaccine they do not need on day one of life. And I would like to say that that priming and the 72 to 90 vaccines we're giving to our children by the time they're 18, more than any of you in the audience ever received 30 leading to this chronic disease epidemic. 37.

I express deep concern about the influence of transgender ideology on children, arguing it lacks scientific basis and is driven by profit motives. I believe children are being exposed to these ideas prematurely, often leading to irreversible medical interventions that can harm their development and mental health. Many children who experience gender confusion may outgrow these feelings, yet they are being pushed into life-altering decisions. I highlight the risks associated with puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, and the troubling reality that parents can face consequences for resisting this ideology.

@ValerieAnne1970 - Valerie Anne Smith

"Children Are Being Preyed Upon...Transgender Ideology Is Based In Fraud." Dr Sheila Furey, Child Psychiatrist "It Isn't Medical Based. It Isn't Scientifically Based. It's A Trillion Dollar Industry That seeks To Fast Track Transgender Drugs & Surgery Onto Our Most Vulnerable." Ideas being pushed on kids today didn’t come from biology — they came from adults with agendas. A child doesn’t suddenly believe they’re in the “wrong body” without someone planting that idea. Once they repeat it out loud, there’s a whole system ready with pills, blockers & surgeries — and big money behind it. Blocking healthy development isn’t health care. It’s a pipeline. And children deserve better. Well before a child learns the difference between adjectives & verbs, activists in many government schools are teaching their pre-K students lessons on transgender pronouns—pronouns like ‘ze’ and ‘zir.’ Public libraries host ‘drag queen story time’ for children of all ages. Teachers are sharing their own intimate sexual encounter stories & openly dressing as the opposite sex in front of their students. It is dangerous & destructive to coerce & push children, whose minds are still developing, to make such life-altering decisions at such young ages – especially since 90% of children who experience gender confusion, no longer hold that view by the time they are 18...if loved & allowed to develop on their own without medical interventions. Many gender-confused children also suffer from mental health issues. Children who identify as transgender are up to 13 times more likely to have ADHD, depression or anxiety than non-transgender children. A study out of the United Kingdom found that 35% of the children who received gender treatment had moderate or severe autism. Many European countries have restricted the use of hormone treatments & surgeries on children. Most notably, the United Kingdom’s National Health Service shut down its transgender youth treatment center, the Tavistock Clinic, after an investigation revealed that the clinic had put young people “at considerable risk” of long-term mental distress. Activists push parents to give their children “gender-affirming care,” including puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones & surgeries. Often with the threat & coercion statement...if you don't, you will have a dead son/daughter. These drugs and surgeries can inflict irreparable harm on children. Puberty blockers are hormone-based injections or implants given to children as young as 8 years old to delay the onset of puberty. Gonadotropin, the hormone used in puberty blockers, is the same hormone used to chemically castrate sex offenders. It can leave children with diminished bone density and harm their future fertility. Activists claim that “gender affirming care” improves the mental health of children with gender confusion. However, a study in the American Journal of Psychiatry found that there is no reduction in mental health issues following hormone treatments or sex-reassignment surgeries. Cross-sex hormones begin to transition children to appear more like the other gender. Boys take estrogen, which can cause infertility, blood clots & heart problems. Girls take testosterone, which can also cause infertility, male-pattern baldness & high blood pressure. Adults have given cross-sex hormones to children as young as 13 years old. Sex-reassignment surgeries, including mastectomies, phalloplasty & vaginoplasty are irreversible. They can result in infertility & loss of sexual function. Activists have advocated for 15-year-old girls to access double mastectomies & 17-year-old boys to receive vaginoplasties. American parents have struggled to protect their children from these radical procedures. Parents in some states can lose custody of their children for refusing to abide by the transgender ideology. In Oregon, children as young as 15 years old can receive Medicaid-funded hormone treatments without their parents’ consent. 👇Sexualization Of Children Destroys Lives👇 https://thenewamerican.com/video/dr-sheila-furey-sexualization-of-children-destroys-lives-morality-and-america/ 👇A Psychiatrist Perspective On Transgenderism👇 https://creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/the-feds1/episodes/47--Dr--Sheila-Furey-A-Psychiatrists-Perspective-on-Covid-and-Transgenderism-e2m4vui/a-abehvk8 👇Evidence Over Ideology👇 https://www.thepublicdiscourse.com/2024/09/96005/ Speaker: Dr Sheila Furey, MD Video: @Wellness_Radar

Speaker 0: Transgendered ideology, it's based in fraud. We are born or we are conceived either a girl or a boy from eternity. All. Since the beginning of man, we are male and we are female. Yes. We are not plethora of unending gender choices. One of the things is is the the psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker who's ever doing this implanting their own thoughts in a child, if they come out of an office and say, I'm now transgender, well, how did that thought come about if they never had that thought before? So if you push an agenda, you can manipulate these children into having thoughts and feelings that were never present there in the first place. There are many underlying things that can affect and make a child or an adult vulnerable to a community that is really preying upon them. So the whole concept that this is free choice is absolutely a lie. Children are being preyed upon, and they're being preyed upon by those who want to make them a part or a symbol of this movement, this religious cult. Right? It isn't medical based. It isn't scientifically based. And then we to further add insult to injury, we wanna recommend immediately that they go into a pipeline of drugs.

Karin Selva, the medical director of the Transgender Clinic at Randall Children's Hospital in Oregon, faces criticism for promoting puberty blockers for children, which she claims are reversible. Critics highlight the lack of long-term studies on these treatments and note that the blockers are not FDA-approved. Following the backlash, the hospital reportedly removed information from its website, but critics assert they have retained evidence of the original claims.

I shared findings from Dr. Paul Thomas, who showed that unvaccinated children had better health outcomes than vaccinated ones, but his medical license was revoked shortly after. Other researchers have faced similar consequences for revealing such data. I highlighted concerns about the lack of proper testing for vaccines and the potential links between mass vaccination and rising chronic illnesses. There's a growing belief that vaccine injuries are more common than acknowledged, and it's crucial for parents to demand informed choices about vaccinations. Awareness is key to reclaiming health control.

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

He proved unvaccinated kids were healthier. They revoked his license. Dr. Paul Thomas studied 3,324 children and found unvaccinated kids had FEWER doctor visits and BETTER health outcomes. Here’s what his data showed: Fever – 9.1× higher in vaccinated Ear Pain – 3.4× higher Otitis Media (Ear Infections) – 2.9× higher Conjunctivitis – 2.4× higher Eye Disorders (Other) – 1.8× higher Asthma – 5.2× higher Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever) – 6.9× higher Sinusitis – 4.3× higher Breathing Issues – 2.9× higher Anemia – 5.5× higher Eczema – 4.5× higher Urticaria (Hives) – 2.1× higher Dermatitis – 1.4× higher Behavioral Issues – 4.1× higher Gastroenteritis – 4.7× higher Weight/Eating Disorders – 2.5× higher ADHD – 0 cases in unvaccinated group *Data based on how often children visited the doctor for each condition* Instead of investigating the findings, the Oregon Medical Board suspended Dr. Thomas’s license—just days after the study was published. 🧵 THREAD

How Much Damage Has Mass Vaccination Done to Society? The data that shows the less appreciated and forgotten consequences of vaccination. midwesterndoctor.com

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@MidwesternDoc Knowing all this and after what happened during the COVID-19 pandemic, it would be incredibly irresponsible to push ahead as we have been for years. We must ask, what has mass vaccination done to society? (See the full explanation here) https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-much-damage-has-mass-vaccination

How Much Damage Has Mass Vaccination Done to Society? The data that shows the less appreciated and forgotten consequences of vaccination. midwesterndoctor.com

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@MidwesternDoc Brian Hooker and Neil Miller later did something similar. Their study included data from 3 different pediatric practices. They analyzed 2,047 children who had been born within the medical practice between November 2005 to June 2015.

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@MidwesternDoc In 2007, Generation Rescue hired a third-party polling firm to do a survey of 17,674 children. 991 of them were completely unvaccinated.

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@MidwesternDoc The data is out there, and @MidwesternDoc has the receipts. Check out the full write-up for more data from a homeschool survey, the Control Group survey, and more. https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-much-damage-has-mass-vaccination

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@MidwesternDoc What if autism is actually vaccine-induced brain damage? @MidwesternDoc lays out the case in this eye-opening article. • Encephalitis is a known vaccine injury • Autism symptoms overlap with mild encephalitis https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-much-damage-has-mass-vaccination

How Much Damage Has Mass Vaccination Done to Society? The data that shows the less appreciated and forgotten consequences of vaccination. midwesterndoctor.com

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

During COVID, vaccine injuries were so widespread that they couldn’t cover it up. • 7% of recipients reported major side effects • Sudden deaths in young, healthy people • A huge spike in myocarditis, strokes, and neurological disorders Even the CDC’s own data showed mass harm.

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFox - Vigilant Fox 🦊

@MidwesternDoc They say vaccine injury is “rare.” But the data clearly tells a very different story. And if even half of this is true, we’re not just facing a health crisis, we’re facing the biggest medical cover-up in history.

reSee.it AI Summary
I discussed the controversial link between Tylenol use and rising autism rates. Historically, aspirin was replaced by Tylenol due to safety concerns, but studies suggest Tylenol, especially during pregnancy, may deplete critical substances like glutathione and sulfate, impacting neurodevelopment. Research indicates a significant association between Tylenol exposure and increased risks of autism and ADHD. Mechanistic insights reveal potential negative effects on brain cell growth and neurotransmitter levels, highlighting Tylenol as a possible contributing factor among many in autism's complex landscape.

TYLENOL & AUTISM - The science big pharma is begging you not to read: (🧵1/11)

@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize

Historically, aspirin was recommended for children if needed. However, in 1980 the CDC announced an association between aspirin and Reye's syndrome. This caused hospitals to switch over to tylenol (acetaminophen or paracetamol). Autism rates began to skyrocket. (2/11)

@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize

Some evidence pointed to tylenol use combined with MMR vaccines to dramatically raise autism incidence. This association held true even after adjusting for various confounders and inflammatory conditions. Such an association was NOT seen with ibuprofen, and I'll explain why shortly. (3/11)

@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize

Some have speculated that Tylenol, along with other new environmental factors, such as glyphosate, have synergistically promoted the rise in autism. The main mechanistic commonalities? They deplete: ➠ Glutathione: our master detoxifying + antioxidant agnet ➠ Sulfate: needed for steroid hormone transport and detoxification (4/11)

@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize

Studies have confirmed that tylenol (acetaminophen) use is associated with depletions in sulfated steroids across the board. Steroids like: ➥ DHEA-S ➥ Pregnenolone sulfate serve as vital transport mechanisms for these hormones throughout the body, and they are highly involved in: ➥ Neurotransmission ➥ Brain cell growth / maturation ➥ Synaptic plasticity ➥ Functional connectivity all of which have alterations seen in autism.. (5/11)

@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize

The main problem with Tylenol lies in its metabolism. Only a fraction of Tylenol gets excreted, the vast majority of it undergoes enzymatic detoxification. This requires: ➥ Sulfate ➥ Glutathione and can form a highly toxic compound called NAPQI - which poisons mitochondria and leads to tons of DNA damage and oxidative stress. This is one of the reasons it damages the liver, but it does this in the brain as well. Glutathione and sulfate are needed for other functions as well, and their levels are often low in autism. (6/11)

@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize

In a consensus statement put together by 91 scientists in Nature, they warned against these exact issues. They pooled together multiple studies on the issue, and found that: ◇ 26/29 showed associations of Tylenol use in pregnancy + neurodevelopmental disorders ◇ 16/19 showed these associations in a dose dependent manner. (7/11)

@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize

One of the most compelling studies on the topic was published in JAMA in 2019. They measured Tylenol and its metabolites in umbilical cord plasma, showing a: ◇ ~3X increase risk in ADHD ◇ 3-4X increase risk in autism in children. Again, they made sure to adjust for confounders, including maternal illness. (8/11)

@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize

When analyzing the gene expression after Tylenol exposure, some trends stand out. Pathways involved in: ☆ Inflammation ☆ Energy production ☆ Cell death were negatively impacted. Animals also consistently showed behavioral and cognitive impairments when mothers are exposed, or in the perinatal phase. (9/11)

@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize

Tylenol might also negatively impact brain cell growth and development. BDNF is the primary protein involved in signaling to neurons to churn out the machinery needed for robust communication and health. Its levels are shown to decrease substantially in certain brain regions when animals are exposed to it. Another hallmark of autism. (10/11)

@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize

There are some other mechanistic links as well, as its speculated that alterations in neurotransmitter levels and in the endocannabinoid system are also involved. What I've outlined here are the primary links. (11/11)

I’ve exposed suppressed European docs and Eli Lilly admissions showing Prozac causes irreversible testicular toxicity and permanent sexual dysfunction in children. Regulators warned against prescribing, yet the FDA was silent for years. Adverse data showed a 365% rise in developmental damage while they kept selling. PSSD means permanent genital numbness. This is abuse—and it must stop.

@DrMcFillin - Dr. Roger McFillin

1/9 🚨 BREAKING: Suppressed European documents reveal Prozac causes IRREVERSIBLE testicular toxicity in children. Eli Lilly's own admission: "Parents wouldn't consent if they knew." They knew. They hid it. They're still prescribing it to 8-year-olds. I have the documents.🧵

@DrMcFillin - Dr. Roger McFillin

2/9 In 2005, European regulators reviewed ALL data and reached one conclusion: "DO NOT prescribe to children." The FDA's response? Six years of silence. What they found will make you sick.

@DrMcFillin - Dr. Roger McFillin

3/9 Eli Lilly's adverse event database showed a 365% increase in developmental damage. They watched the numbers climb. They kept selling. They admitted parents would refuse if informed. The smoking gun quote is in my investigation.

@DrMcFillin - Dr. Roger McFillin

4/9 Right now, doctors are prescribing these drugs to children WITHOUT KNOWING what European regulators found 20 years ago. The information blackout is deliberate. If prescribers knew what I'm about to show you, they'd stop.

@DrMcFillin - Dr. Roger McFillin

5/9 "Irreversible testicular toxicity" "Permanent sexual dysfunction" "Growth retardation that doesn't recover" These aren't side effects. This is chemical castration of children. The regulatory documents prove they knew.

@DrMcFillin - Dr. Roger McFillin

6/9 Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD): Complete genital numbness Zero sexual function Emotional flatness PERMANENT. In children. The FDA finally admitted it in 2011. Buried in filing NDA 18-936/S-096.

@DrMcFillin - Dr. Roger McFillin

7/9 This isn't incompetence. It's evil. When you KNOW a drug destroys children's development... When you HIDE it from parents and doctors... When you keep profiting... What else do you call it?

@DrMcFillin - Dr. Roger McFillin

8/9 The full investigation includes: The suppressed European documents Eli Lilly's damning admissions The FDA timeline of complicity What parents MUST know now Why prescribers are in the dark This ends now. Read Now: https://drmcfillin.substack.com/p/prozac-has-been-known-to-cause-permanent

@DrMcFillin - Dr. Roger McFillin

9/9 Thank you @PSSDNetwork for archiving the evidence while victims were being gaslit. Parents: Your children deserve the truth. Prescribers: You've been lied to. Prosecutors: It's time. Share this everywhere. RESIST.
