US Attorney Rachael Rollins, the first black woman to serve in Massachusetts, is resigning after being caught committing multiple ethical violations. Senator Tom Cotton alleges that Rollins removed significant numbers of documents from the US Attorney's office, potentially destroying evidence and public records related to government legal matters. Cotton believes Rollins should be arrested, not just resign.

Massachusetts US Attorney Rachael Rollins to resign after Justice Department watchdog probe Massachusetts U.S. Attorney Rachael Rollins' attorney says she will resign following a monthslong investigation by the Justice Department’s inspector general into her appearance at a political fundraiser and other potential ethics issues. The Justice Department’s watchdog has yet to release its report detailing the findings of its investigation, but an attorney for Rollins said Tuesday she will be submitting a letter of resignation to President Joe Biden by close of business on Friday. The Associated Press was the first to report in November that the inspector general’s office had opened an investigation into Rollins over her appearance last year at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser featuring first lady Jill Biden. apnews.com

I understand the concerns about the delay in Pam Bondi’s confirmation vote, but there are significant changes happening at the DOJ. Emil Bove has stepped in as acting deputy AG, and Omeed Assefi, who previously worked in the DOJ Civil Rights Division, is now the interim assistant attorney general for the Antitrust Division, ready to take on Big Tech. Additionally, Ed Martin is acting as the DC US attorney. These are just a few of the positive developments taking place.

@julie_kelly2 - Julie Kelly 🇺🇸

For those concerned over delay in Pam Bondi’s confirmation vote, don’t fret. Major changes already underway at DOJ. Emil Bove, the president’s lawyer in NY and FLA cases, now acting deputy AG. Omeed Assefi, who worked for Pres Trump first time around as counsel in the DOJ Civil Rights Division, is now interim asst attorney general of the Antitrust Division. He’ll give it good to Big Tech even tho they are groveling before the president now. Ed Martin is acting DC US attorney. That’s just a few improvements.

I'm reveling in the recent changes at the DOJ. It feels like a victory, especially with the removal of a former top immigration official without explanation. There's also a freeze on the civil rights division's agenda, which seems aimed at curbing anti-police measures. The reassignment of George Toscas, a key figure in the Russian collusion narrative and the Mar-a-Lago raid, to a new office focused on enforcing federal immigration laws is particularly satisfying. It's all unfolding like a dream come true.

This is the best one. Dirtbag George Toscas--Russian collusion hoax and DOJ NSD official who pushed for raid of Mar a Lago--reassigned from his sweet gig at Main Justice. This is like a dream: "Two people said [Toscas] was transferred to a newly created Office of Sanctuary Cities Enforcement in the associate attorney general’s office. The office is tasked with identifying ways to enforce federal immigration laws, a top priority of the new president." BWAHAHAHA too good.

There's a significant shake-up happening at the DOJ, with over 20 career officials sidelined overnight. Trump's team is rapidly pushing out long-time prosecutors without waiting for Senate confirmations, marking an end to what I call the Merrick Garland Reign of Terror. The purge affects major divisions, and they've found a loophole to make it stick. Notable appointments include Ed Martin as acting US attorney and John Durham's son taking over in NY. This overhaul aims to restore equal justice, and I believe we're witnessing a real-time transformation of our justice system.

AG Pam Bondi's memo emphasizes an end to politically motivated cases, signaling a major cleanup effort underway.

I question the sincerity of the resigning DOJ prosecutors. Why didn’t they resign when Biden pardoned his family or freed a criminal who killed FBI agents? Their silence during the targeting of political opponents and the refusal to prosecute Hunter Biden speaks volumes. I also recall Kristen Clarke lobbying to drop charges against the New Black Panther Party without any resignations in protest. These prosecutors need to remember they serve the elected President and must follow lawful orders. The notion that the Justice Department is irreparably broken without one individual is absurd.

I’m pleased to share that Bradley Weinsheimer, a key figure in the DOJ under Lisa Monaco, has been removed from his position. With over 30 years of service, he was given the choice to move to a new role or resign. Weinsheimer was heavily involved in the Hunter Biden investigation, allegedly acting as a liaison for Biden's legal team and undermining Special Counsel David Weiss. His actions included meeting with Biden's attorneys while claiming to address whistleblower concerns, and he restricted testimony from another DOJ official. Good riddance!

@julie_kelly2 - Julie Kelly 🇺🇸

More good news from Trump's DOJ. Blomberg confirms that associate deputy AG Bradley Weinsheimer, considered Lisa Monaco's right-hand man, has been removed from his post. A 30+-year veteran of the DOJ, Weinsheimer was given the option of moving to a new immigration enforcement office or resign/be fired. Weinsheimer was involved in the Hunter Biden matter, running interference for the Bidens and going over the head of Special Counsel David Weiss. According to a 2023 New York Post article, Weinsheimer was "a conduit for Hunter Biden’s legal team in the final stretch of the tax fraud investigation" proving that main Justice--or at least Monaco and Weinsheimer--were really in charge, not Weiss. After lawyers for IRS whistleblowers who later testified to the political nature of DOJ decision making in the Biden investigation, contacted Weinsheimer--the alleged "nonpartisan" DOJ official in charge of handling whistleblower complaints to ensure protection for those employees--Weinsheimer met with Weiss and Hunter Biden's attorney. One day later, according to lawyers for the IRS whistleblowers, "Weinsheimer scheduled a meeting with Mr. Biden’s defense counsel to appeal over the head of Mr. Weiss in a way that was totally at odds with the narrative that David Weiss was acting independently. The Deputy Attorney General’s office then claimed to us it was genuinely interested in addressing the whistleblower’s allegations, without disclosing its meeting with Hunter Biden’s lawyers. We now know that shortly after that meeting Weiss’s assistant [Lesley Wolf] offered to end the case with no guilty plea at all on the very same day that DOJ removed our client and his entire IRS team from the case.” Weinsheimer also wrote a five-page letter to Congress restricting the testimony of Wolf, another DOJ official protecting the Bidens. On at least 79 occasions, Wolf cited Weinsheimer's letter as an excuse to refuse to answer Congress' questions as to her role on the investigation. Good riddance, Brad!

She claimed her decision was based on her oath to the Constitution. I feel like my birthday came 7 months early today with all the amazing news out of DOJ. Denise Cheung, a former top aide to Eric Holderr, just quit her role as head of criminal division for the DC US Attorney's office. She was promoted to that position by Matthew Graves, the former DC US attorney. Reports say she--apparently taking the Danielle Sassoon route of defying an order--resigned rather than look into contract awarded under the Biden adm and potentially freeze the contractor's assets. She, like Danielle Sassoon, claimed the request ran contrary to her oath "o support and defend the Constitution." OH REALLY DENISE? Where was this dedication to your "oath" when Graves promoted you to chief of the criminal division to help investigate President Trump over Jan 6? Or when your office helped pursue convictions of Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro? Or round up almost 1,600 Americans who protested the 2020 election on January 6? What a clarifying period for the DOJ as these prosecutors reveals themselves to be exactly who we thought they were--self-serving, unaccountable, and arrogant Democratic operatives LARPing as government lawyers.

His termination came abruptly via a brief email, and notably, it followed public calls for his ouster. This level of White House involvement in prosecutorial decisions is unprecedented.

@yashar - Yashar Ali 🐘

BREAKING A career federal prosecutor in Los Angeles, Adam Schleifer, was abruptly fired—reportedly at the direction of the White House—after leading the prosecution of Andrew Wiederhorn, a wealthy Trump donor and former CEO of the company behind Fatburger and Johnny Rockets. A grand jury indicted Wiederhorn on charges of hiding millions in income through sham shareholder loans used to pay for private jets, luxury cars, and jewelry. Wiederhorn’s legal team, which includes former Trump-aligned officials, aggressively lobbied the DOJ to drop the charges and personally attacked Schleifer as biased. Then, without involvement from his direct supervisor, Schleifer received a one-line email stating he was terminated “on behalf of President Donald J. Trump.” The firing came shortly after Laura Loomer publicly demanded his ouster, citing Schleifer’s past tweets about Trump. Schleifer’s tweets were posted prior to Schleifer being hired by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. While it is normal for U.S. Attorneys to resign after a new president takes office, direct interference by the White House in the employment of line prosecutors is unprecedented. @LauraLoomer - Laura Loomer

“Adam Schleifer @AdamSchleiferNY, who was part of the corporate & securities fraud strike force at the U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles, received an email Friday morning saying he was being terminated “on behalf of President Donald J. Trump,” according to the person familiar with the matter. The email came exactly an hour after right-wing activist Laura Loomer called for him to be fired in a social media post that highlighted Schleifer’s past critical comments about Trump while Schleifer was running in a Democratic primary for a congressional seat in New York. Loomer described Schleifer as a “Trump hater” and Biden administration “holdover.” https://apnews.com/article/prosecutor-firings-justice-department-white-house-25226702173e7b0aa86633d6c471c37e

The discussion centers on the concept of "burrowing in," where political appointees from one administration secure non-political roles in government. Several individuals are highlighted, including Lucian Sikorskyj, Samantha Goldstein, Andrea Delgado-Fink, Sarah Scheinman, Jeff Baran, Tina Thomas, and Jeff Rezmovic, who have transitioned from Biden's administration to positions under Trump. The conversation raises concerns about their potential influence and alignment with previous policies, suggesting a possible deep state threat within the Trump administration.

🚨THE BIDEN BURROWERS How does Adam Schiff's Russiagate advisor end up in the Trump admin? How does the woman who helped Kamala Harris demonize Kavanaugh end up in the Trump DOD? My investigative series exposes a potential deep state threat in the second Trump admin. 🧵1/10

Video Transcript AI Summary
The piece discusses 'burrowing'—the process by which political appointees enter the permanent bureaucracy. It cites cases: individuals connected to Kamala Harris, Adam Schiff, and Eric Holder ending up in Defense, FAA, and DOJ under Trump. Presidents appoint more than 3,000 political appointees, while the federal government employs roughly 2,300,000 in nonpolitical career roles. The series argues these burrowers may form part of a deep state and raises questions about their influence as the Trump administration seeks more accountability by reforming civil service protections. An RMG poll found that 75% of Washington DC based federal employees making $75 or more per year and who voted for Harris in November say they will not follow a lawful Trump order if they consider it bad policy. The project concludes that the series supports a goal to make permanent Washington more accountable to the people.

Speaker 0: How does a woman who helped Kamala Harris smear Brett Kavanaugh and wrote that president Trump is unfit to hold public office, nonetheless, end up in the defense department under Trump? How does a former FBI analyst who worked with Adam Schiff on Russiagate end up in the Federal Aviation Administration under Trump? How does a former Biden campaign lawyer end up in the justice department under Trump? How does a protege of Eric Holder, a man notorious for racializing and weaponizing the DOJ under Obama, end up in the justice department under Trump? Presidents appoint more than 3,000 people for political positions, but the federal government directly employs roughly 2,300,000, most of them for purportedly nonpolitical career roles. Many of those political appointees later transitioned to career roles in a process known as burrowing in. President Biden named these people as political appointees, but they burrowed in joining the permanent bureaucracy. My series highlights these burrowers and raises important questions about them. These people may or may not be part of a deep state effort to oppose Trump from within. An RMG research poll found that 75% of Washington DC based federal employees making $75 or more per year and who voted for Harris in November say they will not follow a lawful Trump order if they consider it bad policy. This is exactly the kind of deep state bureaucratic attitude that drove outright opposition to Trump during his first term, and it stands to reason that it will rear its ugly head again in his second. My series highlights the boroughs who might form part of this deep state, alerting the Trump administration to their presence. Current civil service protections make them difficult to fire, and the administration is working to change those rules in order to make the executive branch more accountable to the people's elected president. This series supports that overall goal to make permanent Washington more accountable to the people.

@Tyler2ONeil - Tyler O'Neil

The phenomenon is called "burrowing in." Presidents appoint 3K people to political positions, but there are 3M+ supposedly non-political career roles in the government. Biden's appointees moved into these career roles, and many remain under Trump. Who are they?🤔 🧵2/10

Speaker 0 discusses writing a book, The Woketopus, The Dark Money Cabal, Manipulating the Federal Government, "because a lot" and asserts that "left wing activist groups that are funded by George Soros and his network of funders are pushing their ideology through the administrative state, and the right doesn't do that." Speaker 2 explains "Burrowing is a term of art" and that, at the end of every administration, people who like the gig "convert from being schedule c or a schedule a that's been hired under a political authority to a career service GS protected, and that's called burrowing." "It's not supposed to happen. It happens in democratic administrations like crazy." He adds that "day one, they get there, they start to burrow," and that from their positions, "they don't have to do anything to frustrate an agenda." He notes inertia; "If you've converted, those people are not legit." Personal notes: "I did my six years. I never wanted to go back." "I'm proud to have worked for president Reagan, but I don't wanna go back."

Speaker 0: I wrote a book, The Woketopus, The Dark Money Cabal, Manipulating the Federal Government, because a lot Speaker 1: of these left wing activist groups that are funded by George Soros and his network of funders are pushing their ideology through the administrative state, and the right doesn't do that. We we don't believe in that. Yeah. Speaker 2: Burrowing is a term of art. And at the end of every administration, those who like the gig, you know, thirty five hour work weeks and remote work forever and FEHB and all these wonderful Speaker 1: Not anymore. Speaker 2: Not anymore. We hope. They convert from being schedule c or a schedule a that's been hired under a political authority to a career service GS protected, and that's called burrowing. It's not supposed to happen. It happens in democratic administrations like crazy. Like, day one, they get there, they start to burrow. And from their positions, they don't have to do anything to frustrate an agenda. They don't have to just do something. So so much of of the failure to reform the federal government is the inertia of people who are not interested in changing their routine. So some of it is deeply ideological. If you find me people who came in as sub as schedule c or reserved SES for the political side as opposed to career SES, if they've converted, those people are not legit. You know, you're not you're supposed to come in. I did my six years. I never wanted to go back. Lots of democrats live to be in the government, and, lots of Republicans live to do away with the government. And they do their time, and they're proud of their time. I'm proud to have worked for president Reagan, but I don't wanna go back.

First, let's mention Lucian Sikorskyj, a former advisor to Adam Schiff's House Intelligence Committee during Russiagate. Now, he's at the FAA under Trump. To say this raises questions would be an understatement. 🧵3/10

@Tyler2ONeil - Tyler O'Neil

What if I told you a top advisor for Adam Schiff during Russiagate and the first Trump impeachment "burrowed in" to the federal bureaucracy and apparently is still there?😲 If anyone seems likely to oppose the Trump admin from within, it's him. 🧵1/10 https://www.dailysignal.com/2025/06/09/deep-state-actor-former-schiff-committee-staffer-took-career-role-federal-bureaucracy/

Next, Samantha Goldstein. She advised Harris during Kavanaugh hearings. She also wrote an op-ed saying Trump is "unfit to hold office." She's entitled to her opinion, but if she still thinks that, why is she working in the DOD under Trump?!🤔 🧵4/10

Andrea Delgado-Fink served on Biden's "environmental justice" advisory council, and now she's in the Trump admin, which is rightly rooting that DEI nonsense out of the government. The USDA Forest Service confirmed to me that she's still there... 🧵5/10

Sarah Scheinman worked as a lawyer on Joe Biden's campaign team in 2020, and Biden appointed her to the Office of Management and Budget. Now, she's an attorney-advisor in the DOJ's antitrust division—under Trump. She posted this pic in Feb. 🧵6/10

Jeff Baran served on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, but the Senate refused to confirm him when Biden re-nominated him. He burrowed in, then took the buyout. He won't pose a deep state threat, but his burrowing cost taxpayers. 🧵7/10

The Senate refused to re-confirm Jeffrey Baran for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 2023, but taxpayers ended up on the hook, anyway. How?🤔 Here's the story. 🧵1/6

@Tyler2ONeil - Tyler O'Neil

Tina Thomas worked closely with Obama AG Eric Holder. Yes, the man who weaponized the DOJ, pushed Critical Race Theory, & got held in contempt over Fast & Furious. She helped him on redistricting. Now, she's an assistant U.S. attorney in D.C. 🧵8/10

🚨ERIC HOLDER'S GHOST HAUNTS TRUMP DOJ Holder was notorious for weaponizing DOJ under Obama: pushing CRT, dropping the Black Panthers election intimidation case, withholding docs from Congress. Jeff Rezmovic may not technically be a burrower, but he represents the ghost of Mayorkas in the Trump DHS. Biden appointed Rezmovic DHS CFO, but withdrew the nomination. Rezmovic worked closely with Mayorkas & he's still working at CBP. 🧵9/10

I’ve been following the significant changes at the DOJ under Harmeet Dhillon, who has confirmed that 75% of the Civil Rights Division staff has departed since her arrival. Over 200 attorneys retired, and 100 resigned in protest, leading to a major shift away from what she describes as "Woke" practices. Dhillon is focusing on equal law enforcement, religious liberty, and real civil rights. She’s also taking action against antisemitism, defending workplace rights, and advocating for genuine voting rights. Her goal is to create an environment where Americans can speak freely without fear.

@RodDMartin - Rod D. Martin

🚨 BREAKING: 75% of Biden’s DOJ Civil Rights lawyers are GONE. Harmeet Dhillon just confirmed that since January, she’s gutted the swamp inside the DOJ—and is now rebuilding it for REAL law enforcement. This is what draining the swamp looks like. 🧵

@RodDMartin - Rod D. Martin

2/ When Dhillon took office as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights: 200+ attorneys retired immediately under a federal package 100 more resigned in protest Result? The DOJ’s Civil Rights Division lost 3/4 of its Woke, DEI-enforcing staff in just 6 months.

@RodDMartin - Rod D. Martin

3/ Why did they leave? Because Dhillon is ending the era of: ❌ Woke racial spoils ❌ Weaponized “equity” ❌ Ideological lawfare And replacing it with: ✅ Equal enforcement of the law ✅ Religious liberty protections ✅ Real civil rights, not political games

@RodDMartin - Rod D. Martin

4/ She’s already moved to: • Investigate antisemitism on campuses • Suspend funding to colleges enabling harassment • Defend religious freedom • Enforce workplace rights for Americans against foreign worker abuse That just does NOT appeal to the DOJ's Wokesters.

@RodDMartin - Rod D. Martin

5/ On elections: Dhillon has pushed for real Voting Rights Act enforcement, ending illegal racially gerrymandered districts. On speech: “You can criticize Israel… but you can’t deny another student their education or liberty.” It's about time. https://www.rodmartin.org/p/will-the-supreme-court-end-racial

Will the Supreme Court End Racial Gerrymandering? Racial gerrymandering of electoral districts benefits a few Democrat politicians, not minority voters. The Supreme Court should strike it down. rodmartin.org

@RodDMartin - Rod D. Martin

6/ Her warning shot: “Most people in America feel like they have to lie throughout the day just to get by.” Dhillon says the DOJ must protect Americans’ rights to speak openly without fear.

@RodDMartin - Rod D. Martin

7/ Dhillon shrank this vital corner of the swamp by an incredible 75% in just six months—and now she's hiring attorneys who will enforce the law as written, not as warped by Woke Deep Staters. This is Trump’s DOJ. This is accountability. This is how you save America. 🇺🇸
