Throughout history, governments have used fear as a tool for control. Thyroid function is deeply related to fear. COVID-19 vaccines induce thyroid dysfunction.¹ Mice lacking the main receptor for the active thyroid hormone, T3, show significant increases in fear compared to mice with normal thyroid function.² Over 60% of individuals with hypothyroidism exhibit clinically significant symptoms of anxiety.³ Stalin leveraged Soviet citizens' fears about external threats to restrict their economic freedom, notably eradicating their remaining agricultural autonomy.⁴ The manipulation of the food supply has often been employed as a means of exerting control. Many scholars interpret the great famine of 1931-33 under Stalin as a means by which the regime exerted control over the populace.⁵ One of the main ways that starvation exerts stress on the organism is through the suppression of thyroid hormone⁶, increasing cortisol and other stress hormones.⁷ If I were a government trying to create a fearful population, I would encourage restriction of calories and create a food supply that disrupts thyroid function. Thyroid function would ruin the effects of starvation, after all: T3 prevents starvation-induced cell death⁸, and proper thyroid function reduces cortisol through proper glycemic control.¹⁰ As an evil government, my anti-thyroid food of choice would be polyunsaturated fat. Seed oils and fish oils disrupt thyroid function¹¹, and I could easily make them ubiquitous by calling them 'healthy'. All modern dietary recommendations create a fearful populace, enabling those in power to restrict freedom, as compliance is guaranteed. Contribute to a stronger, more free society by taking charge over your thyroid health.

Keto, Carnivore and Fasting are DECIMATING your metabolism. The thyroid needs carbs. Here’s why:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
The thyroid, is the master gland of our metabolism, and our metabolic mastery is what drives our health. The thyroid plays frequently neglected role in a myriad of health issues, if you don't believe me see here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Unfortunately, it's quite common for patients displaying obvious signs of health problems to encounter doctors who readily admit they are stumped, without ever evaluating thyroid function. And when they do get around to testing, they often only measure Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). Here's the crucial piece they miss: TSH alone is far from the full picture.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
TSH is a precursor produced by the pituitary gland that must be converted by the thyroid into T4, which itself isn't the active thyroid hormone that the body ultimately utilizes. T4 can be converted by peripheral tissues into reverse T3, which is anti-metabolic, or into T3, the active thyroid hormone that is truly essential for our metabolic health. Understanding this distinction is vital.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Why is this important, especially in the context of low carb diets? Well, even though TSH levels may be maintained on a low carb regimen, people following such diets typically show decreases in T3 levels, the metabolically active thyroid hormone.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
It's repeatedly observed that individuals on low carb diets tend to experience elevated levels of LDL cholesterol, one of the reasons for which might be connected to lower T3 levels, since T3 is critical in the creation of LDL receptors, which pull the cholesterol out of the blood into the liver. Thyroid hormone is also crucial for converting the cholesterol into downstream steroid hormones.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
The relationship between thyroid hormone levels and LDL cholesterol is striking, as desiccated thyroid therapy reliably lowers cholesterol.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Check out this thread for more on implementing desiccated thyroid:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
On a low carb diet, there is a decrease in insulin, corresponding with an increase in the functioning of stress hormones such as adrenaline, noradrenaline, and cortisol. These hormones are known to decrease the conversion of T4 into T3 and increase the conversion into reverse T3. Cortisol in particular can suppress the output of TSH. Meanwhile, insulin is known to increase the output of T4 from the thyroid and the conversion of T4 into T3.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Fasting is known to tank T3 status, and increase reverse T3 to suppress the metabolic rate. Carbohydrate feeding differentially improves the thyroid profile, which is not replicated by protein and fat.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Interestingly, elevated levels of noradrenaline are also found in patients with hypothyroidism. Ultimately, with reduced levels of T3 due to a low carb diet, the body is likely compensating by increasing the levels of these stress hormones as a mechanism to maintain energy and metabolic function.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Low carb or fasting proponents may suggest that because low carb diets have been shown to improve insulin and leptin sensitivity, the same positive effect might be assumed for thyroid hormones, that you need less thyroid hormone and become more “thyroid sensitive,” and therefore lower T3 is okay. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. Here's why:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
With a lack of carbohydrates and insulin in the picture, fat gets released from the adipose tissue and free fatty acid levels rise systemically. These free fatty acids are known to not only prevent the transport of thyroid hormones, but also to block their actions in the cell, something that won’t get picked up on any blood test.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Free fatty acids also act directly at the thyroid level to suppress the production of important thyroid components, such as thyroglobulin, thyroperoxidase and the iodine transporter.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Fasting causes serum T3, T4 and TSH to decrease, along with lower conversion of T4 into T3. The effects on serum TH concentrations become more pronounced with longer fasting periods.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Thyroid hormone conversion is largely regulated in the liver, driven by enzymes known as deiodinases, which facilitate the interconversion of thyroid hormones. Deiodinase 3, the primary enzyme in deactivating thyroid hormones (T4 into reverse T3 or T2), is known to be induced in response to liver injury, inflammation... or fasting.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Additionally, the liver influences thyroid hormone concentrations in the bloodstream by producing binding proteins that lower thyroid hormone bioavailability. For instance, the proportion of one of these proteins, thyroid binding globulin, increases in fasting, contributing to a less bioavailable form of the hormone to other tissues.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
However, thyroid hormones can also be inactivated and excreted through the feces or urine, through the processes of sulfation and glucuronidation, which are ubiquitous in detoxification. Enzymes responsible for sulfation and glucuronidation of thyroid hormone are increased by fasting. In other words, by chronically fasting, you are literally pissing away your metabolism.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Ketogenic diets and fasting are also liable to decrease the body temperature, a well known outcome of inadequate thyroid function.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
All in all, it seems very clear that the thyroid thrives on carbohydrate and becomes sluggish in times of fasting. Given how important thyroid function is for nearly every bodily function, it's definitely something to be aware of if you choose to undertake such a lifestyle. Personally, I can attest to the fact that chronic fasting and carb restriction made me unnaturally cold seemingly all the time.

Taking T3 to get you metabolism up is like doing Testosterone injections to get more muscle growth. Why synthetic T3 is NOT the solution (and what is): T3 (Triiodothyronine) is the bioactive Thyroid hormone, being more potent than T4 (Thyroxine). T3 plays a crucial role in regulating metabolism, growth, and development in the body. It helps to control the rate at which the body uses energy (metabolism), affects heart rate, body temperature, digestion, and muscle function. T3 also plays a role in regulating the production of other hormones such as multiple androgens (Testosterone, DHT), it inhibits production of stress hormones (Cortisol, Adrenaline) and also up regulates expression of various growth factors (like IGF-1) which is why it helps you to grow taller. When you want a faster metabolism, you basically want more T3 (and of course less T4 and rT3 in relation to it but that's for later). Due to this there are a ton of pro-metabolic or Peaters taking synthetic/exogenous T3 because it ' helps your metabolism'. But since when have exogenous hormones been the solution? That's like taking TRT before fixing nutrition/lifestyle first. "But I tried everything to raise my T3 and supplementing it is the only thing that worked" Like always it is a matter of knowledge, yeah you've probably put hours and hours into optimizing your metabolism etc. But I assure you that I can get just as much or even more results in a matter of minutes. Why? Knowledge. The first step is to understand that T3 is not a Thyroid hormone at all, only 20% of T3 circulating in the body is produced in the Thyroid, the remaining 80% is synthesized in the Liver mostly, by the conversion of T4 (which is a Thyroid hormone) into T3. Since this stuff all happens in the Liver it's about time you look into your liver health. @Animuscle is one of the first to talk about how mineral balance is one of the most important things when it comes to T3 production, and how Cholestasis (a condition where the flow of bile from the liver to the duodenum is impaired.) is one of the biggest things that causes mineral misbalance in the liver. Mineral balance in the Liver is essential since that is where the conversion of T4 --> T3 occurs. T3 is created by removing the Iodine atom from T4. Causes of Cholestasis include excessive intake of heavy metals, PFAS, other toxins or even an excessive intake of essential nutrients (copper, iron, retinol) Disrupted digestion is also a problem, along with deficiencies in essential nutrients. But most of the time it's all these things combined together. "So to get my T3 up I need to restore my liver health?" Yes, this is exactly what it's about. "And to restore liver health I need to make sure bile flow isn't impaired anymore?" Yes "So how do I get my bile 'flowing' again?" Okay so essentially you need to do multiple things: 1. Ensure enough bile is produced 2. Reduce exposure to toxins 3. Clear the digestive system so the bile can actually leave the body 4. Increase amounts of thiol groups which can bind to the metals (Glutathione mainly) How to ensure enough bile is produced: Like always ensuring proper intake of various nutrients is important. - Taurine - Glycine - Phosphodatylcholine - Minerals (all except Iron and Copper) Then various 'bitters' can improve bile production through stimulation of the taste receptors. Bitters would include dandelion greens, arugula, chicory, artichokes, gentian root, wormwood, and citrus peel. In Sweden the 'Swedish bitters' are popular. It's an herbal infusion made with a mixture of numerous herbs, roots, seeds, and flowers including aloe, camphor, angelica root, saffron, senna leaves, manna, myrrh, rhubarb roots, zedoary roots, carline thistle roots, and theriac venezian. Single herbs such as Turmeric, Milk thistle and Ginger are also great. TUDCA (Tauroursodeoxycholic acid) is perhaps the best weapon in your arsenal, it's commonly used among bodybuilders to protect the liver against steroid use, besides that it's great at keeping liver enzymes low and has clinically been shown to treat Cholestasis: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18435680/ Reduce exposure to toxins This shouldn't require an entire explanation, limit the amount of cooked seafood you consume (raw is better but take precautions against parasites), don't overdose on animal organs, don't use plastic stuff (no polyester clothing), get organic food, don't be exposed to industrial goods etc. Clearing out the digestive system Digestion is also not that hard to improve. The biggest mistake I see in digestion is when people consume the wrong foods in the same time window. You don't consume milk and meat in the same timeframe I am honest in this health space I see people combining the weirdest stuff in meals or even eating stuff at the same time which is just ridiculous. Liver and oysters Bone broth and milk Steak and milk And all in the name of 'nutrient density'. Your stomach now needs to digest two foods at the same time that take completely different steps, which inevitably leads to undigested food rotten in the gut. Getting the food that's stuck out of the gut can be done by following a simple short liquid fasting protocol or taking laxatives such as: - Prune or cherry juice - Senna leaf - Castor oil Increasing Thiol groups When we talk about thiol groups we are talking about antioxidants such as Glutathione and it's closely related brothers. these Thiol groups are in the bile and help bind heavy metals into the bile because the thiol groups contain a Sulfur atom which ha an affinity to heavy metals. Tools to increase Glutathione/Thiol-groups: - Glycine and taurine (again) - Raw milk - Extremely low doses of alcohol (hormetic effect) - Minerals (Silica, Molybdenum, Manganese, Selenium) ------------------------------------------------------- When you did all this and start to clear out all the waste due to an increase in bile flow you can start to see increases in T3/metabolism. Ofocurse I am not denying all the other stuff Ray Peat said regarding metabolism/T3 I am just stating that exogenous T3 is not the solution if u haven't tired it all (which u likely haven't) Reminder that this is not medical advice. A huge chunk of this information got introduced to me by @Animuscle so check him ASAP. Make sure you retweet and like this post if u found it helpful.

READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO FIX YOUR GUT. If you have IBS, bloating, gas, poor bowel movements or brain fog, you NEED to see this. This is a comprehensive DEEP dive into fixing your digestive health:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
The first & most important thing to address is dysbiosis (“bad bacteria” in the gut) It will drive: ⬩Pain⬩Gas⬩Sensitization⬩Bloating⬩Food intolerances⬩Diarrhea⬩Poorly formed stools⬩Constipation⬩Acid reflux⬩& more
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
2 easy and free ways to tell if you have dysbiosis: 1. Coated tongue in the morning (especially in the back) 2. Consistent foamy urine If these are prevalent along with other gut symptoms - you can bet dysbiosis is an issue. I go more into that here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Stool testing can be useful, but the results are highly questionable. Ultimately the results will typically not have much impact on how you move forward. Plus, high quality ones can be quite expensive. There are exceptions, but this is the rule.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Start with a low residue or low fiber diet that limits bacterial fermentation. All cuts & types of meat, eggs, seafood, dairy as tolerated (cottage cheese + Greek yogurt typically) Easily digestible carbs like fruit juices, cane sugar and honey.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
A low FODMAP diet can be effective if the problem is more upper GI (belching, upper bloating, lack of appetite). Keep polyunsaturated fats LOW (seed oils mainly). The fats in these oils are absolutely horrible for the gut. I've gone into that here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Avoid food additives: added iron, colors, gums, dyes, etc. If you don’t recognize an ingredient, then it’s best to avoid it. These additives disrupt the mucus layer, foster a pathogenic bacterial load, and drive inflammation. More on that here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
As your gut begins to heal, the more you should expand the diet over time. ⬩Fruit⬩Well cooked potatoes / rice⬩Cooked grains (sourdough)⬩Well cooked vegetables⬩ You don't want to have a restrictive diet long term, as this can backfire and limit your progress.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
In general - over or under-eating will make things worse. Listen to your body. You also want to eat a diet that is enjoyable. Eating foods you don’t think are tasty and that you don’t want to eat measurably impairs your digestion:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
ANTIMICROBIALS are a huge part of fixing gut dysbiosis. Very low dose, safe antibiotics can be an absolute life saver. I know a lot of people don’t like to hear this, but using at a microdose & duration is incredibly powerful. Just easy to overdo it.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Some natural antimicrobials: ⬩Oregano oil⬩Allicin (garlic/onion)⬩Mastic gum ⬩Pau D'Arco⬩Rosemary⬩Thyme⬩Activated charcoal⬩Wormwood⬩Camphor⬩Carrot⬩Berberine⬩Vitamin D⬩Vitamin K2⬩Zinc⬩Lactoferrin⬩
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
One herbal protocol that was studied for SIBO. 2 capsules each of proprietary blends (you can get these online) FC Cidal + Dysbiocide or Candibactin-AR + Candibactin-BR, 2x a day for 4 weeks. Equivalent to standard antibiotics in terms of effectiveness.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
PROBIOTICS: I wouldn't start with these if the problem is really bad, but the closer you get back to normal, the more important they become. ⬩Antimicrobial/anti-biofilm effects ⬩Essential for gut immunity ⬩Enhance gut motility ⬩Can metabolize food components
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
There are a few key types of probiotics: 1. Lacto/Bifido blends 2. S. Boulardii 3. Spore based probiotics There are more, and each has shown effectiveness in their own right.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
The keys to success using probiotics seem to be: 1. Using multiple strains / types 2. Consistency & duration - 2 months is a good starting point 3. Taking with antimicrobials - counterintuitive but works better Fermented foods can also be good.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
GUT MOTILITY is VITAL for fixing digestion. If you don't: ⬩Greater bacterial fermentation ⬩More inflammation from food lingering ⬩More gas production, retention (bloating) Some hallmarks of gut problems are slowed motility & greater fecal mass.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Some tools to enhance gut motility: ⬩Coffee⬩Cascara⬩Triphala⬩Raw carrot⬩Mushrooms⬩Mastic gum⬩ More on mastic here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
A HUGELY underrated & important factor for gut health (specifically motility) is the circadian rhythm. This controls the gut’s immune system, motility, enzyme secretion, and more. People with disrupted rhythm’s are at around double the risk of getting IBS.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
KEYS to a robust circadian rhythm for optimal gut health: ⬩Consistent sleep / wake times ⬩Sunlight exposure to the eyes (especially early morning) More on that here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Gut motility is largely governed by the vagus nerve - the main nerve of the "rest and digest" system. The primary neurotransmitter of the vagus nerve is acetylcholine, and its synthesis is supported by: • Choline • B1 • B2 • B5 • B9 • B12 • Glycine • Creatine •
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Other ways to support the vagus nerve: ⬩Pregnenolone⬩Progesterone⬩Carnosine⬩Butyrate⬩Humming⬩Acupressure points⬩Breathing practices⬩Sunlight⬩Maintaining circadian rhythm⬩Grounding⬩ More on grounding here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
STRESS will destroy digestion. ⬩Worsens gut immunity - allowing for dysbiosis ⬩Slows motility (but can also cause diarrhea) ⬩Impairs energy production ⬩Directly drives inflammation More on that here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Deficiencies of pretty much any nutrient can cause stress, but the most noteworthy anti-stress nutrients IMO are: ⬩Magnesium⬩Vitamin D⬩Carbohydrate⬩Salt⬩Potassium⬩Vitamin C Vitamin D specifically is often low in IBS, and supplementing is therapeutic.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Excess estrogen can also wreck gut function. Women are more susceptible to IBS, especially during points in the cycle with higher estrogen ratio. Androgens, especially DHT, have been shown to protect against the sensitivity & pain in the gut, while estrogen causes it.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Estrogen ALSO causes the degranulation of immune cells called mast cells. These cells also produce histamine and other proteases that can lead to symptoms. The levels of these cells are elevated in conditions like IBS. More on histamine here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Tools to lower / oppose estrogen: ⬩ Saturated fat ⬩ Vitamin A ⬩ Vitamin D ⬩ Vitamin E ⬩ Progesterone (most important)⬩ Aspirin ⬩ Vitamin B2 ⬩ White button mushrooms ⬩ Insoluble fiber (raw carrot) ⬩ Naringin, naringenin, apigenin (citrus fruits) ⬩Calcium D-Glucarate⬩
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
If your metabolism sucks, good luck digesting anything. You need energy for: ⬩Stomach acid⬩Digestive enzyme secretion⬩Motility⬩Immunity⬩Maintaining bacterial balance⬩ The gut is extremely energy demanding.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Some keys to enhancing energy production: ⬩Thyroid optimization / supplementation⬩B vitamins⬩Copper⬩Limiting polyunsaturated fats This is only scratching the surface, but thyroid health seems to be a low hanging fruit for many.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Something NOBODY talks about but is important to consider is SEROTONIN. You WILL have excess gut serotonin if you have these issues. It directly drives: ⬩Nausea⬩Pain⬩Sensitivity⬩Diarrhea⬩Bloating⬩Loss of appetite⬩ and more.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Serotonin is primarily the result of dysbiosis and gut irritation. Some tools that can directly lower serotonin: ⬩Ginger⬩Lysine⬩Vitamins A & D⬩Zinc⬩Cyproheptadine⬩Benadryl⬩Zofran (Ondansetron)⬩Famotidine⬩ A deep dive on gut serotonin here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
INFLAMMATION is what directly facilitates a lot of these symptoms. The breakdown of the intestinal barrier, or "leaky gut," is a common underlying theme in all digestive problems that drives inflammation.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Everything mentioned above plays a key role in driving or managing inflammation and the intestinal barrier, but some good foods to directly target it: ⬩Gelatinous meats / bone broth (glycine + hydroxyproline)⬩Raw milk⬩Orange juice⬩
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
LACTOFERRIN is a Godsend for gut issues. ⬨ Repairs gut barrier ⬨ Bolsters iron absorption (unabsorbed iron is a serious problem for the gut) ⬨ Antibacterial ⬨ Anti-diarrheal ⬨ Anti-nausea ⬨ Reduces abdominal pain ⬨ More on lactoferrin below.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Another excellent tool is GLUTAMINE: ⬨ Improves small intestinal metabolism ⬨ Prevents dysbiosis ⬨ Anti-inflammatory ⬨ Repairs intestinal barrier ⬨ Improves abdominal pain / bloating /nbowel movements ⬨ A deep dive on using glutamine here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Sodium butyrate is another hidden gem for reducing gut inflammation. ◇ Supports gut energy production ◇ Anti-inflammatory ◇ Increases mucus production ◇ Increases antimicrobial peptides ◇ Increases gut motility ◇ Clinical benefit in IBD + IBS.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
There are tons of other supplements you can add to further support the gut. My point is not to take everything here at once, but to try to hit all angles for a comprehensive approach. Mix & match. Experiment. You will find a combo that works.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Many of these principles & symptoms also apply to fungal overgrowths (like candida). Some antifungals that can help with candida: ⬨ Methylene Blue ⬨ Flowers of sulfur ⬨ Pau D'arco ⬨ Niacinamide ⬨ Aspirin ⬨ Oregano oil ⬨ Rosemary ⬨ S. Boulardii ⬨ Coconut oil ⬨ Raw honey ⬨ The pharmaceutical route (nystatin or fluconazole) can be effective here, too. One thing about fungal overgrowths is that they LOVE estrogen, they thrive on it. This is why fungal UTIs are common in women, especially pregnant women. Focusing on combating estrogen will be absolutely vital - see above. The prevailing notion is that carbs should be reduced during fungal overgrowth, though I don’t think this is true. Sure, carbs & sugars may serve as fuel for these organisms, but they also fuel our immune system’s capacity to get rid of excessive fungi.

Parasites are also a noteworthy cause of gut issues. Signs you might have a parasite: • Digestive issues • Chronic fatigue • Skin issues • Muscle / joint pain • Anemia • Itchiness • Grinding teeth • Insomnia ESPECIALLY if these symptoms manifest more in the middle of the night (1-3 AM) Wormwood is a good natural option here. A short course of an antiparasitic like albendazole or ivermectin is also very low risk and effective for parasitic infections.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
All of these different variables interact. Inflammation drives gut dysbiosis + vice versa. Poor metabolism drives inflammation + vice versa. Dysbiosis will drive serotonin + vice versa. Poor motility will increase stress + vice versa. You need to focus on EVERYTHING to heal.

If you want to improve how attractive you look - increase your thyroid hormone (T3). This hormone can: -Lower puffiness and fat of your face -Give you thicker,darker lashes and eyebrows Thyroid hormone is known as the beauty hormone. Here's how you increase it. 🧵:
@questmoosa - Moosa
Maximizing your natural production of thyroid will help you become lean and energetic in a healthy way. T3 and T4 are the center of thyroid hormones that will improve the quality of your life dramatically.
@questmoosa - Moosa
5 side effects of hypothyroidism (low thyroid): - Hair loss - Losing the outer part of eyebrow - Fat gain - Swelling -Cold hands and feet
@questmoosa - Moosa
In this thread, I’m going to show you how to increase your thyroid hormones and I’m going to start with the simple and easy things you can do on a daily basis Then I’m going to go over a few supplements and herbs you can use to boost T3 - please enjoy!
@questmoosa - Moosa
1. Eat healthy fats I’m not talking about canola oil, avocado oil, sunflower oil or any other vegetable, seed or nut oil. I’m talking about fats that are high in saturated fat. Fat sources such as beef, buffalo,lamb, goat, dairy, coconuts and eggs.
@questmoosa - Moosa
The fats found in these sources will have the greatest thyroid boosting effect, because saturated fatty acids (SFAs) are positively associated with thyroid Whereas polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in oils will lower thyroid hormones
@questmoosa - Moosa
2. Maximise sleep Sleep is the most important thing you can do for your health,health, recovery, muscle growth, brain, etc. Studies shows that accumulative sleep loss, sleeping less than 7 hours per night repeatedly, lowers T3 and increases cortisol.
@questmoosa - Moosa
A few tips to improve sleep are: -Sleep in a completely dark room. Get blackout curtains. -Sleep in a completely quiet room. -Block blue light at night.
@questmoosa - Moosa
3. Lower stress Stress is incredibly common these days and seems almost impossible to avoid Chronic stress is very harmful to the body and will lower T4 and T3 production A negative cycle which we don’t want.
@questmoosa - Moosa
A few simple ways to destress are: -Take a walk somewhere, ideally in nature or somewhere with less pollution -Get your posture right - Hunching over and maintaining low power poses lowers testosterone,T3 and increases cortisol -Ensure your blood sugar stays balanced
@questmoosa - Moosa
4. Use natural products Chemical products, including hand soap, shampoo, shaving cream, aftershave, deodorant, lotion, and others, often contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals. Instead use coconut oil bar soap, a natural bar soap which can be used for washing your body and hair
@questmoosa - Moosa
5. Get plenty of sunlight Bright light exposure improves T4 uptake into cells, which reduces hypothyroid symptoms. Bright light has also been shown to decrease rT3, which means that thyroid hormone uptake into the cells is increased - which is a good thing.
@questmoosa - Moosa
6. Enjoy some coffee Coffee drinkers have a lower incidence of thyroid disease Dr Ray Peat also said: "Caffeine has remarkable parallels to thyroid and progesterone, and the use of coffee or tea can help to maintain their production, or compensate for their deficiency"
@questmoosa - Moosa
7. Avoid inhibitory foods Certain foods can negatively impact thyroid hormone production, particularly when consumed on a low-iodine diet. -Soy -Foods high in goitrogens (Brocolli, Kale) -Turnips
@questmoosa - Moosa
8. Take Black Seeds In just 8 weeks, 2 grams of Nigella sativa seed powder (Black seed) lead to significant reductions in BMI, IL-23 levels, TSH, and anti-thyroid peroxidase (anti-TPO), while also elevating serum T3 levels.
@questmoosa - Moosa
Black seed is also famously known as the “cure for every disease except death”
@questmoosa - Moosa
9. Copper A copper deficiency has been shown to lead to low thyroid hormone levels in rams Excellent dietary sources of copper include beef liver, cocoa and oysters
@questmoosa - Moosa
In summary: -Eat healthy fats and carbs (fruits) -Lower stress -Live an active lifestyle under sunlight -Fix vitamin and mineral deficiencies with foods -Supplement if needed Doing all these things CONSISTENTLY will increase T3 and transform how you look AND feel for the better
@questmoosa - Moosa
If you'd like to learn even more about increasing T3 naturally for easier weightloss and to look better, check out my free article: https://substack.com/@questmoosa/note/p-155688268

@BartBaker Should help - lowers oxidative stress of the thyroid gland- that with thyroid massages can prove beneficial
@questmoosa - Moosa
@booomyz Wow , excellent results - the difference in thyroid levels is very noticeable for you - in only 11 months aswell- what was your process to reduce the antibodies?
@questmoosa - Moosa
@JayCampbell333 Cheers Jay
@questmoosa - Moosa
@ApolloZens appreciate it brother
@questmoosa - Moosa
@Celtics_PRam Fixing the fundamentals is more important than supplements - taking supplements when getting 3 hrs of sleep a day is not as beneficial.

GREY HAIR isn't inevitable, it's a sign of aging that you can prevent or even reverse. The science of what causes it, and what you might be able to do to about it:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Hair is gets its color from MELANIN - a chemical pigment our bodies produce. No matter what your hair color is, some form of melanin is going to give it that color. The process of creating melanin starts with the dietary amino acid TYROSINE. The conversion of tyrosine into the forms of melanin requires: ➡ Tyrosine ➡ Copper ➡ Zinc ➡ Iron ➡ Vitamin C ➡ Vitamin B9 If you are low on ANY of these, you are likely to get grey hair.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
The synthesis of melanin shares a common pathway with the synthesis of dopamine in a lot of ways. I've written on how to optimize for dopamine synthesis below.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
In fact, supplying L-DOPA can actually recolor hair. L-DOPA is an intermediate in dopamine (& melanin) synthesis, and can also be found in the legume Mucuna Pruriens naturally.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Copper is low in people with grey hair. Likely due to copper's role in the enzyme tyrosinase, which helps produce melanin for hair color. Iron can actually be high in these cases, despite its deficiency also contributing to greying, which I will explain in a bit.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
The more grey the hair - the lower the copper, calcium and iron. This should be the absolute priority for prevention. Copper foods: chocolate, liver, oysters, shellfish Iron: red meat Calcium: dairy, fish bones The role of calcium is a bit ambiguous but grey hair is consistently associated with osteopenia - a bone condition.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Another study showed that vitamin D is also often low in people with grey hair. Vitamin D: ◇ Supports differentiation of stem cells into melanin producing cells ◇ Anti-stress ◇ Anti-inflammatory These are super important for maintaining hair color.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
More on how vitamin D works, its benefits and how to get enough here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
HOW HAIR GREYS: The most common reason for grey hair is the depletion of the cells that produce melanin (melanocytes). Melanocytes and their stem cells can be killed or stop proliferating due to several factors, and focusing on these is the KEY 👇
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Grey hair can driven by hypothyroidism. Thyroid issues are common in people with premature greying. For more on thyroid support, see below.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Hypothyroidism grays hair - thyroid hormones reverse it. Preserving melanocytes (+ their stem cells), along with copper utilization requires lots of ENERGY. Thyroid hormone can restore melanin production. For more on thyroid supplementation, see below
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Grey hair is primarily driven by OXIDATIVE STRESS. This is the process where free radical production outpaces our antioxidant support. People with premature grey hair have higher markers of oxidative stress: ➮ High MDA ➮ Low glutathione ➮ Low superoxide dismutase
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
The amount of oxidative stress is directly proportional to how bad the greying of the hair is.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Grey hair follicles have poor antioxidant support. These follicles have worsened free radical scavenging activity - they are worse at preventing the oxidative stress that ultimately prevents pigmentation. They also have higher markers of DNA damage from oxidative stress.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
In fact, dropping hydrogen peroxide (which contributes to oxidative stress) on hair follicles can literally make the hair grey. This is in part due to the accumulation of methionine sulfoxide, which prevents pigment producing enzymes from working properly.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Grey hairs have less antioxidant support. How can you support the antioxidant system? ☆ Vitamin E ☆ Vitamin C ☆ B1 ☆ B2 ☆ Selenium ☆ Copper ☆ Zinc ☆ NAc ☆ Glycine ☆ Taurine ☆ Red / near infrared / sun light ☆ Foods rich in these nutrients (liver, oysters, meat, gelatinous foods) ☆ Foods rich in flavonoids (fruits, whole juices, coffee, chocolate) ☆ Edible mushrooms (ergothioneine) ☆ Plenty of carbohydrates ☆ Avoid polyunsaturated fat (seed oils) like the plague
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
High iron can actually contribute to oxidative stress, driving hair greying, while low iron can cause it from nutrient deficiency. Iron is a somewhat confusing double edged sword, but I've covered it (and the benefits of reducing it) more here
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Antioxidants can reverse grey hair. Luteolin is a natural antioxidant found in fruits & vegetables like citrus, apples, carrots, onions etc. Both oral and topical administration or it re-colored the hair.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Antioxidant blends reverse grey hair, regenerate melanocytes. This was using a topical lotion of a blend of antioxidants, and substantial improvements were seen in hair color. The antioxidants also preserved the melanin producing cells and their capacity to synthesize melanin.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Rosemary oil blend reverses grey hair by >50%. An anti-inflammatory / antioxidant herb, this topical serum dramatically reduced the severity of greying hair over a few months. Focus on these, your melanocytes will thank you, and your hair will be colored.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Antioxidants clinically reverse grey hair. Here, a multiple antioxidant blend again nearly cut in half the severity of hair greying.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Inflammation is a driver of grey hair. Inflammatory pathways inhibit the genes that are needed to produce melanin for hair color. Anti-inflammatories like: • Aspirin • Taurine • Pregnenolone/progesterone • Red light • Glycine etc should be explored.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
The gut is the major source of inflammation in the body. Luckily, we've got you covered with our gut masterclass here:
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
STRESS drives grey hair. We have nerves that connect to hair follicles. The sympathetic nervous system directly drives the depletion of hair-pigment producing cells. If you want to control your stress, you HAVE to check out the thread below.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Stress (adrenaline + noradrenaline) also kills melanocyte stem cells.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Analyses have shown that when stress over a lifetime accumulates past a certain point, the hair grays.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
High dose vitamin B5 can reverse premature grey hair. Potentially because B5 is needed to synthesize steroids that oppose the stress response. Cells that multiply at a high rate also need lots of B5.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
PABA can reverse grey hair. I have no experience with it, but PABA was once known as vitamin B10. Older reports show that megadosing PABA can reverse grey hair.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
IGF-1 prevents hair greying. IGF-1 is a growth factor released alongside insulin. It helps to combat the oxidative stress that causes grey hair. It also supports hair growth in general.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Finally, it's important to consider that pigmentation only happens to hair that is in the growth phase. Thus, fostering hair growth in general should be protective.

Hashimoto's Hypothyroid..."You Want To Talk About A Pandemic?...We Have A Pandemic Of Medicating Organs In The Body That Have Done Nothing Wrong." The Only Guarantee If You're On Thyroid Medication Is That Your Dosage Will Increase. Why?...Because You're Killing The Thyroid. The 3 Part Protocol I Used To Heal My Thyroid 8 Years Ago. I Got Off Of Big Pharma's Payroll...A Patient Cured Is A Customer Lost. 1⃣ Adopt The Diet: A Ketogenic Carnivore Diet provides the framework & building blocks to heal & reverse hypothyroidism. The thyroid requires abundant protein with all of the bioavailable nutrients that animal sourced foods provide. Consume at least 1 gram of protein per pound of ideal body weight. The thyroid cannot heal on subclinical protein intake. Structure the diet around ruminant meat of beef, bison, venison, etc. Include an abundance of eggs, low mercury seafood, pork & poultry if tolerated. This is the source of the healing methylated natural B vitamins for thyroid T4 that is responsible for 80% of thyroid hormone production. Saturated animal fat is also required for optimal thyroid function. Consume & cook with butter, ghee, tallow, suet, lard & duck fat. Unrefined mineral salt is a must for the trace minerals that the thyroid requires. Focus on hormone production thru weightlifting, not cardio...as cardio further depletes adrenal & thyroid function. 2⃣ Eliminate Anti-Thyroid Foods: There are many foods that are Goitrogens...these are harmful to thyroid health & function. These are the vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts & seeds that cause a goiter, when the thyroid is starved of the iodine it requires to function & make thyroid hormone. Wheat/Gluten, Grains, Soy, Nuts & Seeds, Potatoes, Legumes, Cruciferous Vegetables & Certain Fruits contain thyroid harming Lectins, Oxalates, Goitrogens, Phytic Acid & Saponins. (article linked below) All of these plant anti-nutrients block absorption of iodine & it's required cofactors...the thyroid will never heal if these continue to be in the daily diet. If you are dairy intolerant or dairy sensitive, dairy should be eliminated as well. The gut inflammation that occurs will hinder key nutrient absorption & prohibit thyroid healing. 3⃣ Supplements For Optimal Thyroid: Iodine: Every cell in the body requires iodine & we no longer get enough from our soil or food. The thyroid alone uses 6 mg each day & the rest of the body uses an additional 4 mg each day. Lugol's 2% Iodine drops is the easy way to supplement. Iodine has required cofactors that must be in the diet or in supplement form: Methylated B Vitamins, Selenium, Zinc, Iron, Tyrosine & Copper. Make sure your ketogenic carnivore diet has ample supply of these nutrients &/or add grass fed beef organs or freeze dried beef organ supplement capsules. Prioritize natural daily sun exposure for D assimilation & hormone production &/or red light therapy. Magnesium Glycinate or Threonate is required as a cofactor for Vitamin D assimilation. Sweat therapy &/or Sauna to detoxify the body from anti-nutrients in the Eliminate category. This protocol healed my Hypothyroidism in 12 months in 2018. I slowly eliminated all of the supplements in 2022, while getting abundant nutrition in 150-200 grams of protein each day & the same or higher grams of saturated animal sourced fats. Prioritizing red meat & fish(Iodine & Selenium) & grass fed beef organ supplements & magnesium glycinate maintains thyroid healing. Let me know in the comments or thru DM if you have any questions or concerns about any part of the protocol. I will gladly answer any & all questions! 👇Low Carbohydrate Diet Reverses Hashimoto's👇 https://ec.bioscientifica.com/view/journals/ec/13/5/EC-23-0477.xml 👇Iodine & Selenium Required To Heal Hashimoto's👇 https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4005265/ 👇Foods That Harm The Thyroid To Eliminate👇 https://discover.grasslandbeef.com/blog/7-foods-that-harm-the-thyroid/ Speaker: Gary Brecka, human biologist

Decades ago, a doctor cured THOUSANDS from conditions they were told were unknown & incurable. The root cause? Hypothyroidism. No bloodwork. No scans. His diagnosis instead was based off of signs + symptoms. Here are the 10 most common ones he documented (& how he solved it):
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
1. Weakness - in 98-99% of people with low thyroid. Thyroid hormones have important actions on muscle cells: ➞ Increase energy production ➞ Promote differentiation into mature muscle fibers ➞ Stimulates type II muscle fibers ➞ Multiplies mitochondria Without them, your muscles suffer, and you feel weakness.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
2. Dry / coarse skin - in 79-97% of people with low thyroid. Thyroid hormones (mainly T3) stimulate epidermal proliferation. With hypothyroidism, skin cells renew more slowly, leading to: ➜ Accumulation of dead skin cells ➜ Thickened stratum corneum (outer skin layer) Giving a rough, flaky, dull appearance.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
3. Lethargy - in 85-91% of people with low thyroid. The primary function of thyroid is to increase how much energy you produce. It goes into your mitochondria and helps them pump out more ATP in the oxidative phosphorylation process. Without enough, you'll feel low energy.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
4. Edema / swelling - 86-90% Low thyroid function can: ◈ Increase capillary permeability ➞ fluid leaks into tissues ◈ Reduce lymph drainage ➞ lymph swells up The puffy face is common in hypothyroidism.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
5. Being cold - in 89-95% of people with low thyroid. One of thyroid hormones' primary roles is to increase heat generation in the mitochondria of your cells. Dr. Barnes would routinely diagnose people with hypothyroidism on morning temperature alone. If for multiple mornings, the underarm temperature was <97.8 °F (36.6 °C) - the person would likely benefit from thyroid therapy
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
6. Thick tongue - in 60-82% of people with low thyroid. Low thyroid hormone levels lead to reduced degradation of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). These GAGs accumulate in interstitial tissues - including the tongue. These molecules attract water → non-pitting edema → tissue thickening.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
7. Coarse hair - in 75-76% of people with low thyroid. ↓ Thyroid hormone → ↓ metabolic rate in follicle cells ↓ Keratin production → weaker hair ↓ sebaceous gland activity → less oil → hair becomes dry and brittle Altered hair cycle → more hairs prematurely shift to telogen (resting phase). Hair loss is also common.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
8. Impaired memory - in 65-66% of people with low thyroid. The brain is the most energy intensive organ in the body. It requires it for producing neurotransmitters and forming strong synapses. Without enough thyroid hormone, the entire energy system ceases. Brain fog is one of the most common symptoms of hypothyroidism.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
9. Constipation - in 54-61% of people with low thyroid. Thyroid hormones regulate the activity of the nervous system, which extends into the gut and controls motility. If you're low on thyroid, this leaves you susceptible to: ➜ SIBO ➜ IBS ➜ Constipation ➜ Candida & more.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
10. Weight gain - in 59-76% of people with low thyroid. Dr. Barnes documented countless cases of people losing stubborn weight with thyroid therapy. Low thyroid function is the number 1 cause of a sluggish metabolism, and thus can cause you to put on weight easily.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Now, how did he solve these issues? Dr. Barnes routinely used natural desiccated thyroid to solve these issues, which I've written about below on how to dose and use properly.

Healing your thyroid is the most powerful yet ignored health intervention. It can fix your brain fog, fatigue, and poor metabolism. But most people don't even know where to start... Here are 8 simple fixes to optimize your thyroid health: 1) Stop drinking tap water
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman
Avoiding environmental toxins, chemicals, and heavy metals is often overlooked. They can disrupt your thyroid and overall health. Instead, try natural cleaning products, filtering drinking water, and reducing exposure to plastics. Symptoms of low thyroid function:
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman
2) Proper iodine intake Iodine is vital for thyroid hormone synthesis. But make sure you are getting the proper amount, too much and too little can both cause problems. Some good sources: seaweed, fish, dairy, eggs, and iodized salt
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman
3) Selenium and zinc Both are essential for enzyme functions in thyroid hormone production and metabolism. Some sources of Selenium: Brazil nuts, seeds, legumes And zinc: whole grains, nuts, lean meats Here's why they're so important:
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman
Not everyone can get enough selenium via nuts and seeds (like me) So supplementing is a great alternative. Just make sure it's from a high quality and trusted source. Like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079QSFDXK?ref=t_ac_view_request_product_image&campaignId=amzn1.campaign.Q4L088JVSO2&linkCode=tr1&tag=jakeglmnstore-20&linkId=amzn1.campaign.Q4L088JVSO2_1753371322874
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman
4) Monitor blood sugar Poor blood sugar control can interfere with hormone activity and increase inflammation. To keep blood sugar stable: - Eat foods with a low glycemic index - Manage portion sizes - Exercise
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman
5) Manage stress Chronic stress increases cortisol, which interferes with thyroid function. Yoga, meditation, deep breathing, or other relaxing hobbies can help. Here's how cortisol affects your thyroid:
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman
6) High quality sleep Sleep is the most ignored fix for thyroid and overall health optimization. It's key healthy hormone production and metabolic regulation. Most people need 7-9 hours per night.
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman
There's no "magic pill" for better sleep. (If there was I would've taken it by now) But I've found Magnesium Glycinate helps me relax and turn my brain off faster. If you want to give it a try, here's what I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C66C2QB8?ref=t_ac_view_request_product_image&campaignId=amzn1.campaign.36I61PRG5UJEB&linkCode=tr1&tag=jakeglmnstore-20&linkId=amzn1.campaign.36I61PRG5UJEB_1753371562423
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman
7) Regular exercise And of course, the basics: Physical activity helps regulate metabolism and hormone levels. And it supports immune and overall health.
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman
8) A balanced diet Focus on whole foods (fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins) These will provide the vitamins and minerals needed for thyroid hormone production. Also make sure to minimize processed foods, refined sugars, and artificial additives.
@jakeglmn - Jake Gilman

@questmoosa - Moosa
If you have thyroid issues, you can cure them naturally. Most thyroid issues are secondary to other problems. Thus, if you find the root cause—there is a cure. Here are the absolute best ways to heal your thyroid:🧵
@questmoosa - Moosa
The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland in the front of your neck. There are two types of thyroid problems: • Hypothyroidism • Hyperthyroidism Hypothyroidism is the underproduction of the thyroid hormones. Hyperthyroidism is the opposite—overproduction...
@questmoosa - Moosa
From my experience treating thyroid issues, the common symptoms are: • Fatigue • Dry skin • Tiredness • Puffy face • Depression • Constipation • More sensitivity to cold Today, many people have thyroid problems, but these are often secondary to other issues.
@questmoosa - Moosa
To solve thyroid issues, you must first understand their root cause and the underlying mechanism Hypothalamus is a master regulator which releases TRH—which instructs pituitary gland to release TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone). The thyroid then produces T4, which converts to the active form T3.
@questmoosa - Moosa
When diagnosing the problem, most doctors only look at TSH, but it's important to consider the holistic view of the body. Harrower’s chart illustrates how the thyroid influences everything and how different glands interact. Grasp the big picture before finding the root cause ↓
@questmoosa - Moosa
→ Let’s explore the first possible root cause ↓ The liver converts the thyroid hormones. T4 is inactive, and is activated through the liver, to make the active form T3. 80% of the thyroid function occurs through your liver. Thus, damaged liver may be one cause.
@questmoosa - Moosa
→ Thyroid issues can also stem from gallbladder bile problems. Adequate bile production alleviates constipation, helps with bowel movements, and improves liver function—which is crucial since the liver converts 80% of thyroid hormones.
@questmoosa - Moosa
→ The adrenals can impair thyroid function by triggering an autoimmune disease that causes the thyroid to attack itself. This often happens after a stressful event: • Graves (hyperthyroid) • Hashimoto’s (hypothyroid) In this case, you want to cure the autoimmune disease.
@questmoosa - Moosa
In women, excess estrogen could be the problem If you experience heavy bleeding, cramping, or irregular periods—excess oestrogen may be blocking thyroid hormone receptors, preventing the thyroid from functioning properly. estrogen inhibits thyroid function. More estrogen = less thyroid activity
@questmoosa - Moosa
If I were in your shoes, the first step I’d take would be to get bloodwork done (TSH, T4, T3) Next, I’d accurately interpret the results and identify the problem, whether: • Poor conversion • Faulty regulation • Thyroid tissue damage • Anything in Harrower’s chart Once that's done, it's time to restore thyroid function ↓
@questmoosa - Moosa
1) Perform a liver detox Since 80% of the conversion from T4 to T3 occurs in the liver, it's crucial for it to function properly. I recommend these battle-tested supplements: • TRHC TUDCA • Raw Herbal Cleanse (no affiliation)
@questmoosa - Moosa
2) When considering iodine supplementation, it’s crucial to determine whether you have an autoimmune issue. Taking iodine can worsen autoimmune diseases by increasing thyroid size and susceptibility to attacks. Iodine should be introduced only after the autoimmune response has been calmed.
@questmoosa - Moosa
3) The next step is a gut reset, especially if you have a leaky gut. I can assure you it will greatly benefit not only your thyroid issues but also your overall health. For example: If you are low on T3—it’s a sign of an unhealthy gut flora and deficiency in Zinc and Selenium—which are necessary in conversion from T4 to T3.
@questmoosa - Moosa
4) Avoid drinking tap water containing chlorine and fluoride. Change your water game by investing in quality water filters. Additionally, avoid allergens such as: • Soy • Corn • Wheat • Pasteurised dairy
@questmoosa - Moosa
5) Eat natural and organic foods Pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides can all disrupt gut health, harm overall well-being, and lower T3 levels.
@questmoosa - Moosa
True healing of thyroid is not the suppression of symptoms, but the addressing of the root cause and then giving your body the support it needs. Then it will perform miracles. The thyroid is like an orchestra, and all the players need to be in harmony for optimal health.

@molsjames - Dr Mollie James
Well, the @FDA is at it again! While blind to the mRNA shots and their harm, they are working to REMOVE dessicated thyroid medications from the market. Short thread on how this negatively impacts patients. https://www.fda.gov/drugs/enforcement-activities-fda/fdas-actions-address-unapproved-thyroid-medications
@molsjames - Dr Mollie James
The majority of doctors base thyroid management on getting the labs right--labs based on sick people--not optimization. They ignore patients who are tired, cold, gaining weight and hair shedding but instead say "Your labs are normal" https://t.co/eQE6LfIDar
@molsjames - Dr Mollie James
Most doctors don't run a thorough lab panel. A TSH is used for 'screening' in many. Maybe a Free T4 if they're fairly sophisticated. Almost never do I see a free T3 or reverse T3--the true correlates of symptoms from low functioning thyroid.
@molsjames - Dr Mollie James
Why does this matter? Optimizing thryoid changes patients lives. We have switched many from synthetics to dessicated thyroid--with a combination of T3 and T4, they get that energy bump directly. Many have lower reverse T3 over time. At @james_clinic we titrate to symptoms instead of labs.
@molsjames - Dr Mollie James
Did you know what TIME you get labs in relation to taking your meds matters also? Getting that lab panel late in the day or too early after taking meds may not be accurate. So, they adjust meds based on a moving, false target instead of resolving symptoms (the basis of all successful hormone optimization.)
@molsjames - Dr Mollie James
Why is the @FDA doing this? Reports of harm? From whom? About what? How did we investigate that. A med 1.5 million people take/year that has been around for over 100 years is a target? (Let's not forget the mRNA shots that were forced on MILLIONS of people with devastating side effects that just keep going and going)
@molsjames - Dr Mollie James
@james_clinic @FDA @DrMakaryFDA @RobertKennedyJr The war on healthy people and hormone optimization needs to end. I'm sure other patients on dessicated thryoid are like most of ours--happy, more energetic, losing weight, and feeling better than ever. What a crisis! (insert sarcasm)
@molsjames - Dr Mollie James
@james_clinic @FDA @DrMakaryFDA @RobertKennedyJr One must understand how the thyroid works to help patients manage. Here's a short guide developed by @fxmed https://t.co/wlpMaTT98T
@molsjames - Dr Mollie James
@Robert_Heitner8 @FDA It goes by symptoms, not labs. Elevated TSH is a sign your body wants more thyroid. I’d recommend a second opinion.

There's a 50% chance a parasite is in you right now. Here's everything you know about them & how to protect yourself. (🧵1/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
SIGNS of a parasite: - Bloating - Gas (especially after meals) - Constipation or diarrhea - Undigested food in stool - Brain fog - Anxiety or irritability - Fatigue - Iron-deficiency anemia - Weight loss or unexplained weight gain - Nutrient deficiencies despite eating well - Histamine intolerance - Food sensitivities - Frequent infections - Skin rashes or itching - Muscle or joint pain All of these symptoms can be indicative of, but are not exclusive to, parasites. The KEY indicators that should make you think parasite over other factors: ☆ Itchiness - especially your butt ☆ Symptoms worsening at night (1-3 AM) ☆ Worsening at full moons ☆ Symptoms appear after traveling (esp to southeast Asia, Africa, caribbean) ☆ Teeth grinding ☆ You see worms in your poop (2/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Parasites are highly prevalent in mental + cognitive disorders. A new meta-analysis showed that people with mental health disorders have 2x higher odds of protozoan infection. ~25% infected overall. Up to 34% in neurodevelopmental + bipolar disorders. (3/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
And yes, estimates routinely put global parasite prevalence at around 3.5 billion people. The primary types are worms and protozoa. Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworm) ➜ 800M–1.2B Trichuris trichiura (roundworm/whipworm) ➜ 600M–800M Hookworms (Necator americanus, Ancylostoma duodenale) ➜ 500M–700M Entamoeba histolytica (protozoa) ➜ ~500M Giardia lamblia (protozoa) ➜ 200M–300M Other protozoa (Cryptosporidium, Blastocystis, etc.) ➜ 100M–300M (4/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Even if you don't have any acute symptoms, parasites are still harming your health. Even if YOU don't know you have them, your body does. They can: ◇ Trigger inflammation in the brain ◇ Alter gut bacteria ◇ Increase leaky gut ◇ Drive neuroinflammation / brain cell death ◇ Steal nutrients & more. The optimal amount of parasites in your body is zero. (5/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
But how do you get exposed to parasites? Parasites cannot live on their own, they live by sucking the life out of other organisms, so if you get infected it'll be from another organism. ➜ Contaminated water ➜ Any other exposure to feces ➜ Unwashed produce ➜ Soil ➜ Undercooked seafood / meat ➜ Pets (dogs + cats) A lot of these are much less common in developed countries, so traveling to a less developed country is a common way to get exposed. Here's a brief guide on some of the most important ones and how you can get exposed⬇️ (6/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Now, we're all constantly exposed to parasites. The question is, what makes one person susceptible to actually getting infected? One of the most important things is ensuring your physical barriers are set up for success, mainly your: ➠ Gut ➠ Skin ➠ Urethral / vaginal If these are impaired, parasites have free reign to enter your body and cause issues. Some important factors for maintaining it: ➥ Zinc, vitamins A & D (cell differentiation, antimicrobial) ➥ Vitamin C (collagen synthesis) ➥ Adequate butyrate production (tight junction proteins) ➥ Lysine (collagen cross linking) ➥ Collagen (constituent amino acids, peptides stimulate collagen production) ➥ Keeping the gut clean with healthy bacteria ➥ Reducing oxidative stress (which drives inflammation, disrupts tight junction synthesis) ➥ Keeping cortisol in check (CRH from HPA axis weakens barriers) (7/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
An interesting note is that parasites tend to accumulate lots of heavy metals. This means that heavy metal toxicity and parasitic infections often go hand in hand. Based on our experience with clients, we've seen that incorporating sufficient minerals, which can help displace heavy metals, results in excretion of parasites. (8/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
I wrote a master thread on understanding and detoxing from heavy metals below.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
The gut microbiome is also vital for resistance to parasites. They're constantly interacting. Healthy microbes can suppress their growth and keep the gut barrier sealed, so parasites can't penetrate our defenses. Pathogens however can promote the hatching of their eggs, meaning they spread faster. In fact, antibiotics have been shown in certain instances to prevent egg hatching. (9/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Serotonin also stimulates parasitic growth. Serotonin is mainly produced in the gut in response to irritation and pathogenic bacteria. More on that below. (10/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Here are a few of the master guides I've put together on each of these topics. Master gut health guide
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
The thyroid is vital for proper immunity, including that against parasites. Master thyroid guide below.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Other issues can leave you susceptible to parasitic infection. For example, mycotoxins from mold can drive inflammation while simultaneously contributing to immune suppression, which can make it easier for parasites to invade. More on mold below.
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Parasites are highly circadian dependent. Most parasites have fluctuations in their activity + abundance throughout the day. Meanwhile, our own: ◇ Body temperature ◇ Immune cell populations ◇ Melatonin depend on the time of day as well. Maintaining a proper circadian rhythm ensures that these factors are peaking and dipping at their correct times. If your circadian rhythm is off, your body can't distinguish time of day, and your normal immune defenses are awry. The most important factors for the circadian rhythm are: ◇ Waking up and sleeping aligned with the sun ◇ Bright morning sunlight in the morning ◇ Keeping your sleep / wake times consistent ◇ Eating at the same times daily. (11/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Another thing to understand with parasites is their life cycle, particularly for worms. As mentioned previously, worms lay eggs, and once these eggs hatch they are first larvae before fully grown worms. ➜ When eggs are laid, symptoms tend to flare (eggs are highly inflammatory) ➜ When they hatch, and larvae emerge, they tend to migrate, which can also lead to more symptoms Ironically, the fully developed adult worm, while being much larger, is when symptoms tend to be less noticeable. It is also in this adult phase that antiparasitics should be employed, as the eggs are much more resistant to them. The entire life cycle can take several weeks. So not only will you have symptoms cycling throughout the day due to the circadian rhythm, you'll also have them cycling week to week depending on egg status. These are key ways to know if you might have them. (12/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
TESTING FOR PARASITES: There are a few types of tests: ➜ Ova & Parasite (stool test, looks for eggs and mature parasites) ➜ Antigen testing (stool, highly sensitive) ➜ PCR (stool, highly sensitive) ➜ Antibody testing (less common, less reliable) While panels of multiple exist, each type of parasite has a test that identifies it best. Here's some of the most common ones⬇️ (13/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
There are also clues on standard / common blood tests that might be able to help identify parasites. The most common is likely high eosinophils, since these are the immune cells that primarily kill parasites. Here are some other signs, specific for certain parasites⬇️ (14/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Finally, we have antiparasitics. Here are some of the natural tools often used, each specializing in different species. These are less powerful than pharma options, but are easier to obtain. (15/16)
@Outdoctrination - Analyze & Optimize
Here are the pharmaceutical options. It's important to remember for these and for natural options to dose around their life cycle (not while there are eggs). Sometimes, multiple doses are needed. Some of these (metronidazole) can act as antibiotics as well, something to keep in mind. (16/16)

Vagus nerve stimulation is the best way to rewire your brain from anxiety, soothe the nervous system, and increase your stress tolerance. Here’s everything you need to know about it: 🧵
@questmoosa - Moosa
The vagus nerve is the longest cranial nerve connecting gut to the brain—branching into every major organ in between. It organises the parasympathetic nervous system and plays a role in heart rate, immune response, digestion, and overall mood.
@questmoosa - Moosa
Chronic stress slowly strangles your vagus nerve function. Think of your vagus nerve as your body's "calm switch." But when stress becomes constant, this vital nerve loses its power to shift you from fight-or-flight into rest mode. The result? Weakened vagal tone.
@questmoosa - Moosa
When chronic stress compromises your vagus nerve, your body loses its "off switch" for stress, leading to: • Racing heart • Elevated cortisol • Digestive chaos • Weakened immunity This can spiral into depression, anxiety, and disease. So, how to reset your vagus nerve?
@questmoosa - Moosa
→ Firstly, train yourself to be calm in stressful situations (see this as flexing the muscle of winding down into "rest and digest" mode). This includes cold water therapy—which also actives the Mammalian Drive Reflex that is designed slow our body down when diving into water.
@questmoosa - Moosa
→ Supplement with: • Sodium • Potassium • Magnesium (I personally take 140mg Magnesium Bisglycinate) These supplements support parasympathetic activation (rest-and-digest).
@questmoosa - Moosa
→ Breathe slower and deeper Once you go deep into the breath—and experience sense of stability, safety, and centering—you can’t go back. My favourite techniques: • Forced exhales • Box breathing Breathe deeply and let it all go.
@questmoosa - Moosa
→ Use your voice • Chant • Hum • Laugh • Gargle These activate your vocal cords which stimulate the vagus nerve.
@questmoosa - Moosa
→ Massage and acupuncture These therapies directly stimulate your vagus nerve, sending powerful signals through your body to: • Activate deep relaxation • Lower cortisol levels • Switch on your recovery system Highly recommend getting a deep tissue massage weekly.
@questmoosa - Moosa
Other methods: • Slow your cadence of speech • Go on long steady walks (calms the nervous system) • control breath in tough positions
@questmoosa - Moosa
The vagus nerve reset helped me transform my health when doctors said recovery was impossible.

Low metabolism, fat gain, chronic disease? It could be thyroid hormone deficiency. There is a whole-body system for delivering thyroid hormone to cells. A failure of any part causes hypothyroid symptoms - often resistant to standard treatment. Here's how that system works! 🧵 https://t.co/cQb8PdWcvD
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
The hypothalamus releases TRH. TRH stimulates the pituitary gland to release TSH. TSH is what tells the thyroid to create and release thyroid hormones. Any problem with the hypothalamus and any factors that affect TRH output can lead to low thyroid hormone production. https://t.co/UqsMQXUZYO
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
The pituitary gland releases TSH. TSH release is stimulated by TRH and thyroid hormones in the pituitary. TSH triggers the release of thyroid hormones from the thyroid. Low thyroid hormones increase TSH - and vice versa. A problem here shows up on tests as hypothyroidism. https://t.co/X91O28gx26

Stimulated by TSH, the thyroid gland makes and releases thyroid hormones. But the TSH is not a perfect measure of thyroid hormone levels. TSH DROPS in stress and illness. TSH can be low while thyroid hormone (T3) levels are also low! T3 activation of cells is what matters. https://t.co/BaFwygt6v2
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
There are two thyroid hormones: T3 and T4. But T3 is THE thyroid hormone. Low T3 activity in cells is THE cause of hypothyroid symptoms. T4 is converted to T3 throughout the body. T4 does not reduce hypothyroid symptoms unless it is first converted into T3. T3 is King. https://t.co/yxtpVpCAM3
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
Thyroid hormones are transported in blood by TBG, TTR, and albumin. Binding to these proteins affects the "free" and "total" levels. Free hormones are more biologically active. These proteins help stabilize thyroid hormone levels and increase their half-life in the blood. https://t.co/nxpNk0oDfa
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
The thyroid releases mostly T4. T4 is converted to active T3 in organs such as the liver and kidneys. This T3 shows up in the blood as it is transported elsewhere. However, a significant portion of our T3 is produced from T4 within cells, which is invisible to blood tests. https://t.co/4WGgqlFyZk
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
T4 can also be converted to reverse T3 (rT3). Increased rT3 can mean less T3 is produced from T4. Higher rT3/lower T3 is triggered by "stress" - leading to hidden, cellular hypothyroidism. High rT3 may be a good indicator of intracellular conversion issues. https://t.co/zx24aICcgc
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
T3 must activate cell nuclear receptors. This stimulates gene expression, metabolism, and body temperature and has a profound impact on most biological processes. T3 can be blocked by high levels of free fatty acids/PUFAS released in response to stress, among other things. https://t.co/isIWNHrnFD
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
In summary, the thyroid system must deliver T3 to the nuclear receptors. TSH, T4, and T3 tests cannot rule clinical hypothyroidism. T4 can only work if the person is a super-converter - most aren't. Lifestyle stress is a very common cause of invisible low T3 activity. https://t.co/2RBslYNcUG

That pattern can indicate hypothyroidism (low gland output) and low conversion. The root cause of both may be the same. Low T3 activity can cause pretty much any chronic disease. It causes heart failure, and outcomes are worse when T3 is lower. T3 is the most important factor for energy production. “energy and structure are interdependent, at every level” ... So you can see how deep the rabbit hole goes with thyroid and chronic disease. Iodine is essential - the “3” in T3 and the “4” in T4 refer to iodine count. Thyroxine (T₄) has four iodine atoms bound to its tyrosine-derived structure. Triiodothyronine (T₃) has three iodine atoms. But iodine deficiency is rare, and high doses in people with deficiency or thyroid issues (known or unknown) are risky.

Too many with hypothyroidism resort to only taking: •Synthroid •Armour Thyroid •Levoxyl •Tirosint •Levothyroxine They don’t address the underlying root causes of their low functioning thyroid. THREAD
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
Typically, patients will go to their doctor and have their TSH, T4 Total, T4 free, or T3 tested. Some combination will be low and out of range. They are then given a prescription and told to take it. However, 1 important question is never asked.
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
What is causing the low functioning thyroid? If we can address the root causes, the body will start functioning like it should. It has an amazing ability to do so, when given the right environment.
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
Let me cover the top 3 root causes I see that give patients a low functioning thyroid. •Fluoride •Deficient Iodine •Gut Dysfunction I’ll cover each below.
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
FLUORIDE This seems to be the most controversial because so many have heard it is good for them & strengthens teeth. More and more research is being produced that this is not the case. And in fact, it is creating more health issues.
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
In short, fluoride blocks the proper function of the thyroid and can actually be toxic. Prior to fluoride being added to water supplies, hyperthyroidism (too fast of a thyroid) was actually treated with fluoride to slow the thyroid down!
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
Without re-hashing all the details, Dr. Izabella Wentz does a great job going into the details in this article on how fluoride affects the thyroid: https://thyroidpharmacist.com/articles/fluoride-and-your-thyroid/
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
DEFICIENT IODINE Sufficient levels of iodine are crucial for the thyroid to function properly. The major thyroid hormones have iodine molecules as some of their key components.
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
T4 has four iodine molecules attached to tyrosine (hence the “4”) T3 and T3 Reverse both have 3 iodine molecules attached to tyrosine (hence the “3”) If you want a visual, go here: https://vivo.colostate.edu/hbooks/pathphys/endocrine/thyroid/chem.html
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
While there are certain supplements I encourage patients to take, iodine is not one of them. I think there is more potential for error/harm with iodine. That’s why I recommend getting iodine from whole, real food sources.
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
8 Iodine Rich Food Sources: 1. Shrimp 2. Cod 3. Seaweed 4. Pink Himalayan or Sea Salt 5. Tuna 6. Egg Yolks 7. Plums 8. Lima Beans
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
GUT DYSFUNCTION I write a lot about this because it effects so many health conditions and so many patients. If your gut is not working correctly, you can’t breakdown foods properly or absorb nutrients optimally.
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
And unfortunately, what many consume actually perpetuates the 2 issues I see the most with gut dysfunction: •An Inflamed Gut •An Altered Gut Microbiome
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
For food, you want to focus on consuming whole, real food 95%+ of the time. You want to focus on eating: •Meat •Seafood •Vegetables •Fruits •Nuts/Seeds •Healthy Fats
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
The 3 biggest contributors to gut dysfunction are: •Refined Sugars •Seed Oils •Processed Grains Eliminate or greatly limit these.
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
One of my favorite hypothyroid patients I helped guide was Amber. I love her story! She made this transformation: •After 3 children •Battling hypothyroidism •Finding out she was gluten intolerant https://t.co/h1aqMfa20H
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
Amber wanted a holistic approach to weight loss. She was excited that I didn't have her do crash diets, protein shakes or pre-packaged meals. Instead, we used whole, real foods and helped rebuild her metabolism.
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
I helped her focus on how her body was created and what worked best to optimize her metabolism in regard to food and exercise. That's when the weight started melting off.
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
In addition to significant fat loss, she had these much-needed benefits: •Mind Became Much Clearer •Energy Increased Significantly
@DrBPHealth - Dr. BP | Metabolism 2.0
This all began to happen when she started receiving proper fuel and nutrition to functionally improve her gut health & metabolism. Again, she addressed the root causes of the issue that ultimately led to her thyroid not functioning correctly.. This is key if you truly want to get well.

Light is the most effective treatment for Hashimoto’s ↓ TSH ↓ Waist ↓ Weight ↓ Antibodies ↓ Inflammation ↓ Medication use ↑ Thyroid hormone (T3) ↓ Structural abnormalities 47% no longer needed thyroid meds! But it has to be done correctly. Let’s look at the research 🧵
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
A 2010 pilot study showed remarkable results with light therapy. ➥ T4 needs ↓ 60% ➥ 47% discontinued meds ➥ TPOAb ↓ 40% Two sessions per week for 5 weeks. Normal thyroid vascularization occurred in one quarter of the participants — signaling reduced inflammation and swelling.
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
A follow-up RCT confirmed—and expanded—those results. 47% came off thyroid meds. ➥ T4 needs ↓ 58% (avg) ➥ TPOAb ↓ 49% ➥ 95% reduced T4 ➥ 47% stopped T4 ➥ 95% ↑ echogenicity ↑ echogenicity = healthier thyroid tissue, less autoimmune damage—signs of healing.
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
Compared to placebo, levo/T4 needs stayed lower for years after light therapy. But over time, med requirements crept back up. It’s not a one-and-done.
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
Selenium, vitamin D, and iron (if deficient) can all improve Hashimoto’s. But light therapy blows them out of the water! Light therapy increased active thyroid hormone T3 by 50%+. Massive drops in thyroid antibodies: ➥ T3/T4 ratio ↑ 44% ➥ TPOAb ↓ 73% ➥ T4 needs ↓ 50%
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
Light therapy led to weight loss that continued for months— even without more treatment. Waist size dropped, too. ➥ Weight ↓ 6.8% ➥ Waist circumference ↓ 6.9% ➥ Hip circumference ↓ 3.0% ➥ Waist/Hip ratio ↓ 3.3%
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
Light therapy reduced thyroid volume—another marker of healing. In Hashimoto’s, immune cell buildup causes thyroid swelling. A smaller thyroid means less inflammation and structural recovery. 4× more people reached normal thyroid volume after treatment.
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
Hashimoto’s—also called chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis—involves lymphocytes invading the thyroid, driving inflammation and increased vascularization. Lymphocytes → inflammation → increased vascularization. Light therapy reverses this vascularization—another sign of healing.
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
A few years back, after reading animal research, I tried light therapy on my thyroid. I did two separate tests with two lights, dosing twice weekly for 3 months each. Both failed; antibodies stayed high. Likely reasons: one was red, one was too strong.
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
All of the studies reported in this thread use low-power near-infrared light. Not red light. They all used 820, 830, and 850 nm wavelength (near-IR). With power from 50-200 Mw.
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
I think it is time to carry out another experiment. I used to read a lot of the literature on red light, and I have quite a collection of different devices. One thing I learned is that most suppliers either don't understand how to test their devices or just plain lie about the specifications. The only trustworthy suppliers I have come across are redlightman (UK/EU) and Gembared (US). So, I am going to test with one of the 830 nm near-infrared devices from Redlightman, placing it a few inches from the thyroid, for a few minutes a day, 3 times/week, to see if it changes my antibodies. It's in the post... Redlightman and Gembared have given me an affiliate discount code: MasterM ----------- If this has worked for you, please post your results in the replies!!! Please include as much information as possible, as the dose is very important. Device - distance from the thyroid - time per point - how many points - how often?

@TT15248526 There is no tissue to treat. Find a doctor who knows how to treat hypothyroidism properly with a combination of T3 and T4, dosing to symptoms, T3:rT3 and temperature, rather than TSH.

@VITLrx Me too. And it seems superior in terms of recovery.
@lowmegatron - Master Metabolism
@Boio89 I don't know. It might be a penetration issue or something that is only affected by a slightly higher wavelength. Or maybe the NIRA was selected because of the better penetration but red would work with different protocols. Red did not work for me.
