Speaker 0: If they Listen. If they voted for Trump in 16, whatever. They voted for Trump in 20, they knew exactly fascist. They're voting for a fascist. They're voting for a racist. They're voting for somebody that wants to put this country 200 years in the Speaker 1: back. His supporters have no excuse anymore. There is no excuse. He is a racist. He is blatant about his racism. He is not using a dog whistle Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 1: To send out his racist messages. He is using a fog horn, denying that he knows who David Duke is, denying that he knows that the KKK was a malignant force in American history, equating, neo Nazis and and white supremacists to democratic protesters, trying to undo democratic progress across Europe. You cannot support this man. You're attacking the media. You're employing the same language that Stalin used, calling the media enemies of the people. You're making outrageous racist comments in Charlottesville. You're making outrageous racist comments in the White House. You're denying those, and you just send out a flurry of outrageous tweets every day. It is what dictators use. I'm not calling Donald Trump a dictator, but it is what autocrats and dictators have done a long time. It's what it's what Hitler and all of Hitler's people. And I'm not comparing Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler just like Flake wasn't comparing him to Stalin. Donald Trump Yeah. Is continuing to tell us and with more rapidity that he is an autocrat. And if he takes power again, he will be an autocrat. And this worshiping of Hitler's power, just like this worshiping of of president Xi, just like this worshiping of Kim Jong Un, just like this worshiping of Vladimir Putin, it all comes from the same disturbing place. He he has an anti American bent to authoritarianism. Speaker 2: So I think there's 2 lanes here. There's the number 1, it's morning in America. It's never been better here. And contrast Donald Trump nighttime in America, and start to use the f word, the fascist word. Don't just say democracy is hanging on a thread. Say, you will be a we will be a fascist state. Start putting cunning commercials together with Mussolini in it, with Hitler in it. I know everybody's going, oh, you can't do that. You can't do that. We will become a fascist state. Use the f word for Donald Trump, morning in America for Joe Biden. You Speaker 3: statement that the that the president the ex president made, as I said, is part of a pattern. He was in favor of keeping up the Confederate monuments. He talked about, back in the day when when somebody said something to him about David Duke, but he didn't really know, but he tipped his hat. Mhmm. He talked about in Charlottesville, there being, you know, both sides to that issue. This is a tip of the hat to white supremacy and white nationalism, which is unfortunately a very important part of the ex president's base, which goes to show you what in the he's gonna do if he gets elected. And he's already told you he's gonna be a dictator for the day. He wants to make sure that as the president, he could auto seal team team 6 Speaker 0: Right. Speaker 3: And go shoot political opponents. Speaker 1: I I there's a difference between conservatism, radicalism, and fascism. This is fascism. This is this is, The Times, quotes, an expert on the topic. Fascism is generally understood, and this is boilerplate stuff, really, for what fascism is. Fascism is generally understood as an authoritarian for right system of government in which hypernationalism is a central component. Check. It also features a cult of personality around a strong man leader. Check. The justification of violence or retribution against opponents. Check. And the repeated denigration of the rule of law. Check, said Peter Hayes, a historian who has studied the rights of fascism. Past fascist leaders appealed to a sense of victimhood to justify their actions. Check. We're entitled because we've been robbed. We've been victimized. We've been cheated and robbed. Check. Check. Check.

Axios reports that Trump's pardons related to January 6 were a last-minute decision, with Trump instructing his team to "release them all." Concerns arise over pardoning individuals convicted of violent acts during the Capitol attack. One congressman, who was present that day, acknowledges the lawbreaking but argues that many did not receive due process. He defends Trump's decisions, questioning why the media does not focus on those who were not pardoned. The discussion shifts to accountability, with the congressman asserting that if released individuals reoffend, it should not solely fall on Trump, just as Biden shouldn't be blamed for others' actions. The conversation highlights ongoing political divisions and differing perspectives on law enforcement and justice.

Speaker 0: Axios is reporting that Trump's January 6 pardons were a last minute decision. His team was reportedly wrestling with how to handle them. But according to one adviser, Trump said, quote, f it, release them all. Your response? Speaker 1: Well, Jim, as always, it's good to be on here for my weekly beating from you all at CNN and I appreciate you, brother. And I was thinking about you this morning actually, because I remember Rush Limbaugh, somebody called in when Bill Clinton was elected president and they said, oh, I bet you're depressed. And he said depressed? Heck no. I got 4 years of material. Just think you've got 4 years of material at least. Right? Speaker 0: Well, I'm not so much worried about material, congressman, as I am about the President releasing violent offenders who attacked the Capitol where you're standing right now on January 6th, people who are convicted of seditious conspiracy. I spoke with Officer Harry Dunn at the top of the program. I spoke with the ex wife of Stuart Rhodes, Tasha Adams. They are both worried about their safety. Do you defend what Donald Trump did releasing these people from prison, pardoning them, commuting their sentences? Yes or no? Speaker 1: Well, I was the last person to leave the the capitol grounds excuse me, the floor of the capitol, last member of congress on January 6th when all this went down, you know, I was offended as anybody. If they cross those barriers, they were breaking the law, but you got to realize too, they are charged under federal law. Many of them never even saw their day in court and we're sitting in a jail cell. Cell. So the whole thing is Yeah. Speaker 0: Is not the news. Speaker 1: But you but you also I asked you Speaker 0: a yes or no question. Do you agree with president Trump's decision to pardon these violent people and releasing them from jail? If they were truly We're showing the footage on the air right now. Congressman, you were there that day. There there are offenders on January 6th who violently beat beat police officers. There are offenders who are convicted of seditious conspiracy. That is the truth. Speaker 1: This is a political world, Jim, and I don't remember you all on CNN condemning Joe Biden for commuting the sentences of murders and child molesters, which he did. And you all Congressman, Speaker 0: I'm not asking you about that. Congressman, we have talked about Speaker 1: Joe Biden's party. You never do. Congressman, you never did. Speaker 0: About it. We talked about Joe Biden's party. Speaker 1: Jim, you did not. You all read your your report from the Democrat National Committee as you always do Speaker 0: and you attack Larry. Congressman, are you going to respond and say whether or not it is right to let these people out of jail? Speaker 1: I don't know if it is or not. I'm not a lawyer, but I'll tell you what is right. Speaker 0: You're a congressman. You're a member of congress. You're an elected official. Speaker 1: Take us through. They were not given they were not given due process. I told you if they cross the line, they were trespassers. Should they rot for in jail for the rest of their lives and a thousand and a half years of terror? Speaker 0: Beating police officer, tasing police officers. Jamsters. Speaker 1: What you're forgetting to say is the ones that he didn't release. Why did he not release those? There are several that he did. This blanket thing you're all talking about is not a blanket. It's it's it's not a blanket pardon. There were several that he didn't for those very same reasons. Why are you not focused on that? We're talking Speaker 0: about the the leader of the oath keepers, the leader Speaker 1: of the proud boys. They should be released from prison? What about the leader of the FBI? What about the FBI agents that were on the grounds that were in in that mess Speaker 2: that were helping the law? Speaker 0: Or the FBI was not riding at the Speaker 1: capitol that day and beating Speaker 0: up police officers. Fraternal Order of Police, another police organization out there, the International Organization of Police Chiefs. We can show that up on screen. That would be great. They both say that what President Trump did is wrong. They're deeply discouraged by these pardons. And I wanna ask you, Speaker 1: Jim, if they have whatever happened to be in jail. If they broke the law, they already be in jail. Okay. Well string this stuff on me. I don't know. I haven't seen the tapes of these individuals of what Speaker 0: they did. Back the blue? What happened to backing police officers? Your party has said time and again, we back the blue. It sounds like you let down the blue. You're betraying the blue. Speaker 1: Jim, why don't you just give an editorial and not let me come on? Look. What happened in the last 4 years with police? What happened with all the riots that took place all across the country? Police officers were murdered. Courthouses were burned. Over 22 police cars were burned, yet no one went to jail for that. Where is the where is your crocodile for that? You no. You're just you're engaging in Speaker 0: the games. Speaker 1: You're engaging Speaker 0: in a game in a game of whataboutism. People were obviously positive at Speaker 1: the end of this week. Every day. Every day, all you got was Speaker 0: we're doing at CNN. We didn't score the capitol. These people did. And president Trump let them out of jail. Why not just say you were wrong, mister president? Say it. Why can't you say it? Speaker 1: Jim, as I said, individually, I don't know the case. But on the but on several, he did not release from jail. Why are you not putting the story out on that and saying it's a blanket? Show me the tapes of these individuals beating police officers. Speaker 0: We're showing it right now. Speaker 1: Doctor. Doctor. Saying that I'll be happy to not be your officer. Speaker 0: Show you the footage. You are not. Of these people showing police officers. Speaker 1: I've seen the foot I've seen that footage, but of those individuals, Jim, you just said Speaker 0: I spoke with the ex wife of Stuart Rhodes, the leader of the Oath Keepers. This is what she told me just a few moments ago. Let's listen Speaker 1: to this. Speaker 2: I'm worried. I am worried. I also worry about his followers. They're a bit unhinged, and he does seem to be regathering and and regrouping his his army, you know, right now. Speaker 0: Congressman, there are relatives who turned in their relatives because they were involved on January 6th. Who's gonna protect them now that these people have been released? Speaker 1: Jim, I had individuals from my my my community, bankers, church people that left before all this happened. The FBI came to their house, their places of business, and harassed them. This was a political thing from the start. It was a bad day in America. If they cross the lines It's not a political thing. It's not Speaker 0: a political thing. They broke the law. It's not all political. There's such a thing as right and wrong and law and order. And and congressman, your party has said we back the blue. And I just wanna ask you, if if any of these people who were released from prison, if any of them commit crimes in the future, should Donald Trump take personal responsibility for that? Speaker 1: No more than Joe Biden Biden should take personal responsibility for the 14,000,000 people for Lake and Riley losing her life because he didn't have enough guts to enforce all the black Americans. If Joe Biden pardoned people Speaker 0: and they reoffend, he's obviously responsible for that. I'm asking you. Why can't members of your party just tell the president when he's wrong? Why can't you do that? Speaker 1: You spent 4 years making excuses for a fellow with all with Alzheimer's in in the lead office in this country. Speaker 0: Congressman, you and I know you and I talked about this. We we raised questions about that time and again on this network, on this program. You all made this Tuesday. For you. Is president Trump responsible? Is he responsible if some of these offenders reoffend? What happens if one of the Oath Keepers of the Proud Boys goes out there and hurt somebody? Isn't and they were involved on January 6th and were put in prison and Donald Trump released them. Isn't he then responsible for that? Isn't he responsible if somebody gets hurt? Speaker 1: I would say if they're Trump appointed judges, they will go to jail. But if they're Joe Biden appointed judges or or Soros backed DAs, they'll probably walk, unless they do in New York and the rest of the country. It was we saw during the Black Lives Matters marches. We saw in the riots all across the country. Those people walked. Nobody went to jail for that. 1,000,000 upon 1,000,000 of dollars of property was damaged. You all didn't raise a finger, didn't say one word about it. Congress You showed it and said, oh, it's all in order. You showed right we had riots where things towns were burning down and they were allowed to do it. They were allowed to do it. And you all did not all you covered it, Jim. Come on, Jim. All day, the mayor modicum of of coverage and then you went on to Speaker 0: trash the Trump conservative cause. I was at the White House covering the first Trump administration when they had rioting outside, of the White House. I mean, that was covered on CNN. What you're saying, this is this is not Fox, congressmen. You can't just spin a a tail and pull the wool out of people's eyes. Yeah. This is CNN. This is the news. We're asking Speaker 1: you to come Speaker 0: on and tell the truth. Speaker 1: And that's why more people are watching the cartoon network, SpongeBob Bob reruns right now, Jim. Look, I left the White House during a riot. My life was threatened. My life has been threatened within the last few weeks, yet there's no coverage of that. And you all continue this this narrative of trap attacking Trump. You just can't stand the fact that he won and that America Congressman And that and that your view is very diminished. Speaker 0: Not the case at all. Speaker 1: And your view is very diminished. Speaker 0: I asked you to come on to ask you about these pardons because they are highly controversial, and they could result in people getting hurt. And I think that's a sincere question. Speaker 1: If they break the law, then they go to jail. If they they they went Speaker 0: to jail and then the president let them out of jail. Speaker 1: And all I'm asking is Speaker 0: for you to say that if if you feel it's wrong, say it's wrong. Speaker 1: That's the key. They did go to jail. And under these Soros backed DAs all across the country, these people are walking for for much more heinous crimes than this. Speaker 0: Congressman Tim Virchow of Tennessee, thank you for your time and

This is CNN, not Fox. It's crucial to tell the truth, especially regarding alarming choices made by individuals who struggle to denounce white supremacists. Donald Trump's past comments, like referring to "very fine people on both sides," carry significant weight and are heard by neo-Nazis and white supremacists. Why can't he outright reject their support? He has condemned neo-Nazis and white nationalists, but his language remains extreme. Recently, he suggested Liz Cheney should be fired and has warned of potential dangers to the country if he doesn't win in November, using terms like "bloodbath."

After that, we'll head to Los Angeles to assess a fire situation that could have been managed better with proper water flow. Some of you may join us on the plane. There's uncertainty about who will be traveling with us, but I hope everyone makes it. I was surprised by Collins and Murkowski's decisions, and Mitch seems to always be a no vote. President Trump expressed openness to hosting January 6 rioters at the White House, claiming they were protesting a "crooked election" and had been treated poorly. However, the reality is that these individuals violently attacked police and stormed the Capitol. Former DC police officer Michael Fanone criticized Trump's perspective, stating that many of these rioters had significant criminal histories and committed violent acts. He emphasized the danger of releasing these individuals back into the community, as they may reoffend and feel emboldened by Trump's support. Fanone also expressed concern over a Republican proposal allowing Trump to serve a third term, warning that it could lead to more political violence. He urged Americans to recognize the seriousness of the situation and the implications of Trump's actions.

Speaker 0: Just days after his sweeping clemency order that parted more than 1,000 January 6 rioters, president Trump now says he's open to hosting some of them over at the White House. Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm sure that they probably would like to. I did I did them something important, but what they did is they were protesting a crooked election. I mean, people understand that also, and, they were treated very badly. Nobody's been treated like that. So I'd be open to it, certainly. Speaker 0: Fact check, they were not just protesting. They were beating police officers. They were storming the capital, and they, were not protesting a crooked election because the election was not crooked. But these are some of the so called protesters the president is considering welcoming to the White House, violent rioters who not only attack democracy that day, but also the police officers who tried to stop them. That includes former DC police officer, Michael Fanone, who you can see here fighting to protect the capital that day, from, against that violent mob. And Mike Fanone joins me now. Mike, good to see you. I mean, it almost seems like we're in a bizarre world here that January 6 rioters and insurrectionists would be welcomed over to the White House. What do you think about that? Speaker 2: I I actually disagree, Jim. I think it makes perfect sense. I mean, I like to hang out with people that I have things in common with, and Donald Trump is a convicted criminal and an insurrectionist, and he wants to hang out with fellow convicted criminals and insurrectionists. So, you know, for me, this makes perfect sense. Speaker 0: And, you know, for all the talk that you hear from his, aids and allies that it's time to move on, it's time to look forward, and so on, he keeps coming back to this and saying it was a crooked election and so on. He he's back in the White House, and he can't even admit that he lost in 2020. He downplayed, the violence that day during this recent Oval Office interview, if you wanna call it that. Let's take a listen. Speaker 1: Most of the people were absolutely innocent. Okay. But forgetting all about that, these people have served horribly a long time. Some of those people with the police, true, but they were very minor incidents. Speaker 0: Yeah, Mike. I mean, we've seen the video of what you went through that day. We we've shown this is your body cam footage. We can show it again. These were not minor incidents. But he's trying to whitewash, obviously, what took place on January 6. And it seems to me, I know you guys are disappointed, you and the other officers are disappointed that Trump's back in the White House, but it seems you almost have another mission ahead of you, and that is to stop the whitewashing of January 6th from happening. I wonder how you feel about that. Speaker 2: Yeah. No. Absolutely. I mean, listen. The American people, chose Donald Trump to be their president. What outrages me is not the fact that Donald Trump is in office so much as these attempts to, like you said, whitewash the events of that day, to turn the January 6th insurrectionists and convicted criminals into the patriotic heroes that Donald Trump would like them to be. And watching so many American people complicit in that, in that attempt. You know, listen, what happened to me that day and what happened to hundreds of other police officers was nothing short of horrific. It was violent and it was brutal. For those that don't remember, the individuals that were charged, for assaulting me all plead guilty, were all sentenced to lengthy jail sentences, and Donald Trump let them free. It's an outrage. The American people should be outraged. I mean, quite frankly, there should be protesting in the streets about this absolute, unbelievable crime that's been committed against our criminal justice system. Speaker 0: And, Mike, I know I'm worried about reprisals, the potential for reprisals. I mean, some of these offenders, some of these criminals who were let out of jail, what happens if they reoffend? I mean, that that is a that is a key question in all of this. And what does that mean for folks like you? I know your mother has been through an ordeal in all of this. What does all of that mean for folks like yourself, the fact that these these people are back out on the street? Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, first, let's let's address one of the, one of the big lies that's being told about these individuals that were convicted of crimes. Many of them, many of them, had significant criminal histories. These were not grandmas and grandpas that just, you know, wandered into the United States Capitol and, oh, next thing you know, they're being charged with violent felonies. These were individuals who were already predisposed to committing acts of violence. Many of them were drug users, drug dealers, spousal abusers, sexual predators. These are the individuals that Donald Trump is, you know, claiming are great American patriots. And they committed acts of violence against law enforcement officers. So, that's who Donald Trump has released back out into the community. And the idea that these individuals will not re offend is outrageous. It's ridiculous. And, you know, many of them view people like myself as the reason that they are behind bars. They now feel emboldened because Donald Trump has told them, If you commit crimes on my behalf, I'm going to protect you. I'm going to absolve you of all accountability. So why wouldn't they target people like me, people like you, and attack us, assault us? Speaker 0: Yeah. And and, Mike, I do wanna ask you one final question, and that is there's a Republican congressman who has introduced a resolution that would allow Trump, to serve a 3rd term in office, are you concerned, that this could lead to more political violence in this country? Speaker 2: I mean, listen. I I I don't understand what it's gonna take for the American people to wake up and view this guy for who he is. You know, we all experienced him during his first term, but for some reason, 4 years later, we have whitewashed, all of the, outrageous things that he has done. And, you know, here we are, saddled with another 4 years of Donald Trump. The idea that we would break from our constitution to allow this person to serve again, should absolutely shock the conscience of every American. Speaker 0: Alright. Mike Fanon, thank you for what you do and and for what you continue to do, and that is tell the truth about what happened on January 6th. Mike, good to see you. Appreciate it. Speaker 2: Likewise. Thank you. Speaker 0: Alright. Coming up as

In the midterms, a discussion arose about a caravan of migrants from Central America. One party characterized it as an invasion, while the other disagreed, emphasizing the need for legal immigration processes. The president insisted on the necessity of immigrants for economic growth, despite the caravan being far from the border. Tensions escalated when questions about the Russia investigation were raised, with the president dismissing them as a hoax. The president criticized a CNN reporter for being rude and unprofessional, claiming CNN spreads fake news and labeling them as the enemy of the people. Another reporter defended the first, but the president continued to express his disdain for the media's portrayal of his administration and the fearmongering surrounding Democrats and crime.

I want to thank everyone behind the scenes at this network. After careful consideration and an offer for a different time slot, I've decided to move on from CNN after nearly eighteen years. The highlight of my career was covering Barack Obama's trip to Cuba in 2016, where I questioned Raul Castro about political prisoners. As the son of a Cuban refugee, I learned that it's never right to bow to a tyrant. The press must hold power accountable, and I will continue to do so. Remember, don’t give in to lies or fear; hold on to truth and hope. Share your message on social media. I’ll share more about my future plans soon. Thank you for welcoming me into your homes all these years. That's the news. Reporting from Washington, I'm Jim Acosta.

Speaker 0: Just wanted to end today's show by thanking all of the wonderful people who work behind the scenes at this network. You may have seen some reports about me and this show. And after giving all of this some careful consideration and weighing an alternative time slot seen CNN offered me, I've decided to move on. I am grateful to CNN for the nearly eighteen years I've spent here doing the news. People often ask me if the highlight of my career at CNN was at the White House covering Donald Trump. Actually, no. That moment came here when I covered former president Barack Obama's trip to Cuba in 2016 and had the chance to question the dictator there, Raul Castro, about the island's political prisoners. As the son of a Cuban refugee, I took home this lesson. It is never a good time to bow down to a tyrant. I've always believed it's the job of the press to hold power to account. I've always tried to do that here at CNN, and I plan on going doing, all of that in the future. 1 final message, don't give in to the lies. Don't give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth and to hope. Even if you have to get out your phone record that message, I will not give into the lies. I will not give into the fear. Post it on your social media so people can hear from you too. I'll have more to say about my plans in the coming days, but until then, I wanna thank all of you for tuning in. It has been an honor to be welcomed into your home for all these years. That's the news. Reporting from Washington, I'm Jim Acosta.

We had a busy weekend, successfully bringing home six hostages from Venezuela, thanks to cooperation from their government. Secretary of State Rubio is in Panama discussing violations related to the Panama Canal, which China is improperly managing. We're also engaged in discussions regarding Israel and Ukraine, with meetings scheduled soon. On trade, Canada has been unfair to the U.S., restricting our banks and products while we allow theirs. We may impose tariffs if they continue this behavior. Regarding South Africa, we are investigating their leadership's actions before deciding on aid cuts. The Federal Reserve's decision to hold rates was expected. We face significant trade deficits with many countries, and we need to focus on improving our economic situation. Discussions with Canada and Mexico are ongoing, and we expect them to address issues like immigration and drug trafficking.

Speaker 0: Thank you very much. So we had a very busy weekend. Speaker 1: We got the 6 hostages out of Venezuela, as you probably know. And, they're very safe right now. They're home with their families, and we appreciate the hard work of a lot of people including Rick Rennell. We appreciate the cooperation from Venezuela, and, we have some very happy people right now. Nobody thought that was going to happen. So they are home, they're safe, and they're with their families. That was a big one. Secretary of state Rubio is in Panama right now, and, we're talking about the Panama Canal. What they've done is terrible. They violated the agreement. They're not allowed to violate the agreement. China's running the Panama Canal. That was not given to China. That was given to Panama foolishly, but they violated the agreement and we're gonna take it back or something very powerful is going to happen. And as far as other things are concerned, as you know, we had a very busy weekend. We're dealing with Israel. We're dealing with Ukraine and Russia. We have meetings and talks scheduled with various parties, including Ukraine and Russia. And I think those discussions are actually going pretty well. The discussions on the Middle East with Israel and various and sundry other countries are progressing. Bb Netanyahu is coming on Tuesday, and I think we have some very big meetings scheduled. President, Speaker 0: do you feel that Speaker 1: Elon Musk is delivering on his promises to you? Do you Speaker 0: feel he's doing a good job right now with Speaker 1: I do. I think Elon's doing a good job. He's a big cost cutter. Sometimes we won't agree with it. It will, not go where he wants to go, but I think he's doing a great job. He's a smart guy, very smart, and he's very much into cutting our the budget of our federal government. Speaker 0: Mister president Speaker 1: from Canada. Say it? Speaker 0: You talk of the territory tariffs in Canada. And as a rider in the in the order, are you planning to increase the tariffs against Canada? Speaker 1: Well, it could happen. If they do anything, we will. Canada's been very abusive of the United States for many years. They don't allow our banks. Did you know that Canada does not allow banks to go in? If you think about it, that's pretty amazing. If we have a US Bank, they don't allow them to go in. Canada has been very tough on oil, on energy. They don't allow our farm products in essentially. They don't allow a lot of things in and we allow everything to come in. It's been a one way street. We subsidize Canada by the tune of about $200,000,000 a Canada by the tune of about $200,000,000,000 a year. And for what? What do we get out of it? We don't get anything out of it. I love the people of Canada. I disagree with the leadership of Canada, and, something's gonna happen there. But if they wanna play the game, I don't mind. We can play the game all they want. Mexico, we've had very good talks with them, and, this is retaliatory. This is retaliatory to a certain extent. Millions of people flowed into our country through Mexico and Canada, and we're not gonna allow that. And by the way, we have among the lowest numbers we've ever had of people crossing our border. The lowest number since my administration. Speaker 0: Mister president, you said so on free social, you said Speaker 2: that you're gonna cut aid from South Africa. Speaker 0: Will you plan to cut aid across other African nations and why South Africa? Speaker 1: Only South Africa. Terrible things are happening in South Africa. The, leadership is, doing some terrible things. Horrible things. So that's under investigation right now. We'll make a determination. And until such time as we find out what South Africa is doing, they're taking away land, they're confiscating land, and actually, they're doing things that are perhaps far worse than that. Speaker 0: And on the Fed on the Fed, Fed chair Jerome Powell, he held rates. What's your reaction to him not exchanging the rates? Speaker 1: What did you say? Speaker 0: Fed chair Jerome Powell, the Fed meeting was his week. He held the rates. He didn't cut the No. Speaker 1: I'm not surprised. I think holding the rates at this point was the right thing to do. Speaker 0: Because of this, when when some people be next from Speaker 1: Well, we're gonna see what happens. It'll happen, but we're gonna might. We'll see how things work out. It might happen with that, but it will definitely happen with the European Union. I can tell you that because they've really taken advantage of. I said, you know, we have over a $300,000,000,000 deficit. They don't take our cars. They don't take our farm products. They take almost nothing, and we take everything from them. Millions of cars, tremendous amounts of food and farm products. So the UK is way out of line and we'll we'll see the, UK, but European Union is really out of line. UK is out of line, but I'm sure that would I think that one can be worked out. But the, European Union is it's, an atrocity. What they've done. Speaker 0: Prime minister Storm wants to place the relationship with the media. Speaker 1: Well, prime minister Storm has been very nice. We've had a couple of meetings. We've had numerous phone calls. We're getting along very well. And we'll see whether or not we can balance out our budget. With the European Union, it's, you know, $350,000,000,000 deficit. So, obviously, something's gonna take place there. So, can I come up Speaker 0: on this, sir? For the years, you said what's your timeline? And I'm looking Where? Where? Time? 25%. Speaker 1: With who? Speaker 0: With who? Can you how much? Speaker 1: I wouldn't say there's a timeline, but it's gonna be pretty soon. Okay. No. No. I'm not gonna say that. We may have short term some little pain and people understand that, but long term, the United States has been ripped off by virtually every country in the world. We have deficits with almost every country, not every country, but almost. And we're gonna change it. It's been unfair. That's why we owe $36,000,000,000. We have deficits with everybody. We help everybody. We've been helping everybody for years. And to be honest, I don't think they appreciate it. So we're gonna change that. We're gonna change it fast. We're gonna make America great again. We have to focus on our country. We have tremendous potential if properly used, and we have to focus on our country. Tremendous deficits with China, tremendous deficits with the European Union, tremendous deficits with Mexico and Canada. And why? What's the purpose of that? Why would we have deficits? And yet you look at, if you look at pharmaceuticals and drugs, if you look at various products, it's much cheaper in other countries. We're not gonna allow that much longer. We're not gonna take it. Speaker 0: Mister president, I'm sorry. What's going on there? Speaker 1: Well, it was it's been run by a bunch of radical lunatics, and we're getting them out. USAID, run by radical lunatics, and we're getting them out, and then we'll make a decision. The government has spoken with anyone from Canada or Speaker 0: from Mexico since you have told me Speaker 1: I've spoken with people from Canada. I've spoken with people from Mexico, and I've spoken to a lot of other people too. Speaker 0: Do you have prime minister Trudeau or Speaker 1: I'm speaking with prime minister Trudeau tomorrow morning, and I'm also speaking with, Mexico tomorrow morning. And, I don't expect anything very dramatic. We put tariffs on. They owe us a lot of money, and I'm sure they're gonna pay. Speaker 0: What's happening? Would you send troops? To say to China Panama. About what? Speaker 1: I don't think trips will be necessary in Panama. What Panama has done is terrible financial security for this part of the world. And, you know, 70% of the sign is on the Panama Canal was written in Chinese. That's not right. It wasn't meant for China. It should have never been made. The deal was a ridiculous deal. We lost 38,000 people building the Panama Canal, one of the great wonders of the world. 30 I think it was 38. It was the most expensive project ever built by this country if you take it forward. The most expensive project ever built. We lost 38,000. And what happens? China owns it all of its time. It's not gonna happen. We're not gonna let that happen. We have national security concerns, and they wouldn't let it happen either. Mister president, what does it Speaker 0: mean about Mexico need to do to you to listen, Harry? What are specific issues Speaker 1: that have to balance out their trade? Number 1, that you've gotta stop people from pouring into our country, and we've stopped it. They haven't stopped it. We've stopped it. They have to stop people from pouring in, and we have to stop Fentanyl, and that includes China. Fentanyl has killed, this year, at least 200,000 people. It's pouring in from China through Mexico and Canada, and they've got to stop it. And if they don't stop it, the tariffs are gonna get worse, Speaker 0: a lot worse. Mister president, I'm going to the border.

Speaker 0: Don't think Speaker 1: for you. Which White House official made the decision to bar the AP reporter from the Oval Office and the Diplomatic Reception Room last night? Speaker 0: Well, first of all, let me just set the record straight. It is a privilege to cover this White House. It's a privilege to be the White House press secretary. Secretary. And nobody has the right to go into the Oval Office and ask the president of The United States questions. That's an invitation that is given, and there are hundreds of outlets on this campus. Many of you in this room who don't have the privilege of being part of that pool every single day and getting to ask the president questions. We reserve the right, to decide who gets to go into the Oval Office, and you all have credentials to be here including the Associated Press who is in this briefing room today. But Speaker 1: isn't it retaliatory in nature is is the argument because the reason that the AP was barred, which they said was because they're not using the phrase Gulf Of America. They're using Gulf Of Mexico in line with their standards. And so the question here is, is this setting a precedent that this White House will retaliate against reporters who don't use the language that you guys believe reporters should use? And how does that align with the First Amendment commitment that you were just talking about? Speaker 0: I was very upfront in my briefing on day one, that if we feel that there are lies being pushed by outlets in this room, we are going to hold those lies accountable. And it is a fact that the body of water off the coast of Louisiana is called the Gulf Of America. And I'm not sure why news outlets don't want to call it that, but that is what it is. The secretary of interior has made that the official designation in the, geographical identification name server. And Apple has recognized that. Google has recognized that. Pretty much every other outlet in this room has recognized that body of water as the Gulf Of America, And it's very important to this administration that we get that right. Not just for people here at home, but also for the rest of the world. Sure.

The Secretary of Interior made it official in the geographical identification name server. Apple, Google, and most other outlets recognize it as the Gulf Of America. Getting this right is very important to this administration, both domestically and internationally.

Sure.

I’m calling on the media to unite and boycott the Trump administration after the White House banned the Associated Press. It’s crucial for news outlets to support the AP by writing op-eds and standing with them in court. If necessary, we should refuse to cover presidential events in solidarity until Trump reverses this decision. The power of the press should not be undermined.

NEW: Former CNN host Jim Acosta is calling on the media to come together and boycott the Trump administration. The call comes in response to the White House's decision to ban the Associated Press. "News outlets then must rally to the cause, by offering supportive statements to the court hearing the case, writing op-Ed’s backing the AP, and, if necessary, refusing to cover presidential movements in solidarity, until Trump backs down," Acosta said on Substack. "The presidential Sharpie is not mightier than the pen."

Let's be honest, the mainstream press doesn't care about free speech. They're mouthpieces for the government and deep state, pushing agendas from the intel community to the Biden administration. Their performative activism is sickening. The White House should remove these so-called journalists and replace them with new media. I'm disgusted by their elitist attitudes, epitomized by individuals like Natalie. They don't deserve their positions.

All they do is carry water and carry the talking points whether it be the intel community, the Biden regime, the Pentagon, the deep state, you name it. So spare me the performative activism. I think the White House needs to strip these people of their seats. Right? They're the ones that get to choose the seating arrangements. They shouldn't even have seats to begin with. Fill it with new media. I'm so disgusted of these people and their sense of superiority. Natalie, hanger for one.

Trump criticized Mexico's President for her fear of the cartels and teased upcoming economic strategies against China, claiming Biden's policies have cost the US billions. He also noted a surge in military recruitment and improvements in the economy. Meanwhile, Stephen Miller's influence in the administration is reportedly growing. There are no plans to speak with President Xi, but discussions are ongoing between China and the U.S. The speaker denies losing confidence in the National Security Advisor, stating he was simply moved and did not resign. Trade deals are in negotiation, but ultimately, the speaker will set the terms, claiming other countries have been "ripping us off for years." Judicial nominations are proceeding rapidly, aiming for judges who won't demand trials for every illegal immigrant. The speaker believes it's impossible to have a trial for every person who came into the country illegally. The speaker accuses the Wall Street Journal of being "China-oriented" and "bad for this country." The speaker confirms offering U.S. troops to Mexico to combat cartels, who are "trying to destroy our country." A new National Security Advisor will be named within six months. Speaker 0: Hello, everybody. For It's nice. Nice plane. Everyone having a good time. We'll be back in Washington soon. We have a lot of good news to report, and, you'll be hearing about it. Probably not now, but you'll be hearing about it. We've had some good things coming out of the many war zones that were created by Biden and a group of incompetent people. But I think we have some pretty good news, so we'll talk about that later or tomorrow. Any questions? Any plans to speak Speaker 1: with president Xi this week? Speaker 0: No. No plans to speak to him, but China and our people are talking about different things. Speaker 1: You said that you didn't make any mistakes in your recent one hundred days. Was it really mine from both the Azure National Security Advisor? Speaker 0: No. It's irrelevant. It's not a mistake or not a mistake. It's not a big deal. So what He fine, and where he is, he'll do a good job. Speaker 1: What made you Speaker 0: lose confidence? I don't consider that. I didn't lose confidence in him. Why did I lose confidence? Going to the United Nations, me, if I had a choice for myself of doing, I'd rather have that job than the other. Speaker 1: Did he resign on his own or did he? Speaker 0: He didn't resign. He didn't resign. So I just moved him. There was no resignation. You people are so bad. You know? You're trying to make a big deal out of something. That's not you are so bad. That's interesting. That's why nobody watches you anymore. Who are you with? Speaker 1: Mister president. Who are you with? I'm with First. You're with who? Speaker 0: First. First. I didn't know there was such a Speaker 1: this one. This one the first first one. Any trade deals coming this week? Speaker 0: It could very well be. Nobody understands. We're negotiating with many countries. But at the end of this, I'll set my own deals because I set the deal. They don't set the deal. I set the deal. They've been ripping us off for years. I set the deal. So Every country, almost without fail, friend and foe, has been ripping us off for years. So we're meeting with almost all of them, including China. And at the end, I'm setting the deal. I keep saying, when are you gonna this is not like a big deal that's gonna be signed. In some cases, we'll sign, but we don't have to have said it. I'm gonna be setting the deal. I'll be setting a terror. You keep asking the same question. When will you agree? It's up to me. It's not up to them. It's up to me. Now they don't have to deal with us, which is okay because we lost under Biden, we're losing $5,000,000,000 a day. Think of it. $5,000,000,000 a day. Now we're not dealing with China at all because the tariff's so high that they basically can't deal. And because of that, we're saving billions of dollars. Yeah. But just and I'm not saying this to be a wise guy when you to be mean. I don't wanna Speaker 1: be mean to hear, you know, Speaker 0: good professional. But you do keep asking me that same question. It's not like we're gonna sit down in an ivory room and we're gonna just he's gonna say there'll be some of that, very little. I don't see a lot of it. At some point in the next two weeks or three weeks, I'm gonna be setting the deal. I'm gonna say that such and such a country has had a tremendous trade surplus, surplus their way, with us. They've taken advantage of us in various ways, and we fully understand what they were doing. We we were being led by people that were not very They were able to be taken advantage of, but I can't be taken advantage of. So at some at a certain point, I'll be just setting a certain tariff number. What's it? What's Speaker 1: On that far, on H that they're still not getting medicines. And, you know, Speaker 0: it's Well, that shouldn't be happening. But, the other thing, other countries should be helping us with that. And, I'm a big fan of getting that solved. But, you know, we're the only country. Where are the other where is France? Where is Germany? Where are these other countries? Nobody does anything but The United States. And we spent, you know, billions and millions of dollars. So they should be helping also. But as you know, we did a waiver. You know that. Speaker 1: Right? Right. But there Speaker 0: is something can't help that because if we did a waiver, then you have to get your people to act properly in the waiver. But I do ask, why are we the only country doing it? Speaker 1: Mister president, what's your what's your timeline on the rest of your judicial nominations? And what's your criteria on the Speaker 0: Which nominations? The future of judicial nominations for the Speaker 1: judge positions? Speaker 0: Well, we're putting them in rapidly. We're trying to get very good ones. I mean, we need judges that are not gonna be demanding trials for every single illegal immigrant. We have millions of people that have come in here illegally, and we can't have a trial for every single person. That would be millions of trials. The people elected me in a landslide with every single we won every swing set. We won everything there is to win by big numbers. Not only swing set. We won the popular vote by millions of votes. They elected me. This was the number one issue. And now we have judges that are radicalized, and they're they're crazy. Because they want us to have if you believe this, they want us to have a trial for every person that came in illegally into our country. So they come into our country illegally, and then we're supposed to take weeks, I guess, and months to have a trial on every criminal that we have murderers all over the country. I don't think the supreme court will stand for that. I can't believe it. Because you know what? If they do, we're not gonna have a country. Go Speaker 1: ahead. How will you make sure that the judges that you appoint are never gonna Speaker 0: All you can do is do the best you can. You know, you you try and appoint the best people to being judges or anything else that you appoint. But so far, you know, I'm very disappointed with the decisions that come out, and mostly from the people appointed by others that made. But it's just so hard to believe that you have a murderer. Many you know, we have 11,888 or whatever the number is. We have thousands of murderers in this country. We're getting them out. And they say, we don't want them out. We want them to stay in our country until they have a trial. Trials take years. They take years. It's so crazy. We won't have a country left. We can't have that happen. Speaker 1: It's so crazy. It's the only I can do. Who are with? The Wall Street Journal. Speaker 0: That's right. Well, you you people treat us so badly. Wall Street Journal has truly gone to hell. Go ahead. It's a rot 10 newspaper. Already looked at What I said, it's a rotten newspaper. Speaker 1: Are there any updates to talk to the 100? Speaker 0: I wouldn't tell the Wall Street Journal because it'd be wasting my time. There are talks, but I I don't wanna talk to the Wall Street Journal. But look, Wall Street Journal is China oriented, and they're really bad for this country. Speaker 1: Did you say you want a fair deal? Did you say you want a fair deal with China? What is a fair deal? I think you want that too. Speaker 0: Well, you know, want a fair deal with China, but China's been ripping us off for many years. So maybe something should be thought about, you know, little bit of retribution. China's been ripping us off for many years ever since they started. To me, I think the worst thing that Richard Nixon ever did. Was he Speaker 1: right now And it was Speaker 0: a Nixon. You know, he's the one that got it started, Speaker 1: and they've taken advantage of it. That were you Mexicans? No. Speaker 0: So Mexico is saying that I offered to send US troops into Mexico to take care of the cartel. She wants to know, is that true? Do you think I'm gonna answer that question? That's what I'm asking, I'll see. I will answer it. It's true. And I should think that was true. Because they should be they are horrible people that have been killing people left and right, and have been they've made a fortune on selling drugs and destroying our people. We lost three hundred thousand people last year to fentanyl and drugs. They're bad news. Yeah. That's true. If Mexico wanted help with the cartels, we would be honored to go in and do it. I told her that. I would be honored to go in and do it. The cartels are trying to destroy our country. They're evil. And, you know, we had three hundred thousand people die last year from fentanyl and all of that. We had hundreds. We had millions of people brought into this country that shouldn't be here. The cartels brought them in. So if she said that I offered to do that, she's a % right. And were you disappointed that Speaker 1: she denied that request that she doesn't want? Speaker 0: Well, she's so afraid of the cartel she can't walk. So, you know, that's the reason. And I think she's a lovely woman. But the president of Mexico is a lovely woman, but she is so afraid of the cartels that she can't even think straight. What I'm what I'm all I'm saying is that that you don't that a young lady, a 10 year old girl, nine year old girl, a 15 year old girl doesn't need $37. She could be very happy with two or three or four or five. I would I would let's not waste a lot of time. It's still one question. What else? Well, if that I don't know about it, but I'm honored if that's Speaker 1: the case. If they're gonna name a road after me, Speaker 0: if that's the case, I'm honored. Thank you very much. So what Speaker 1: do say you're asking me? Go ahead. Concerned to be a real road and national security concern? Speaker 0: Well, I have a lot of people that want the job, I can tell you. It's I mean, a lot people say it really works in with what Marco is doing. But we have a lot of people I'm gonna be naming somebody, Speaker 1: but we What's the name of the guy? Speaker 0: I would say within six months. Speaker 1: Would you like Would you press on that? You would Speaker 0: do the permanently, but I don't I think it's, you know, it's an appropriate job. Speaker 1: Are you considering Steven Miller? Are you considering Steven Miller? No. Steven Miller is at Speaker 0: the top of the totem pole. I mean, I think he sort of indirectly already has that job. You understand? Because he has a lot to say about a lot of things. He's good. He's a very valued person in the administration. Steven, go Speaker 1: for So we've reached a hundred days. What do you see as your main agenda item to the next one? Speaker 0: I think we had the greatest hundred days in the history of our country for an administration. I think we've done more. We've gotten rid of woke. We're strengthening up our military. Think of it. Six months ago, we had the worst numbers in the history of our military for joining up joining our military and police. Now we have the best numbers we've ever had. Just think of that. It's not even possible. Inflation's down. All costs are down. Everything is down other than as Tristan said, the thing that you carry the babies around in, but that's up 3%. Energy's down. Gasoline's down. Nobody's ever seen anything far ahead of schedule. So people that were paying a lot for groceries, they're paying a lot less. Interest rates are even down. We have a very stubborn Fed, I mean, Fed should lower, but that's that's okay. But interest rates are down. Mortgage rates are down. That's pretty amazing. So we've done I think I don't think there's ever been a better opening hundred days. We have a lot of fake polls where they interview Democrats, not Republicans, but I'm meeting more Democrats. I had a pollster that said to me, a legitimate pollster, John McLaughlin, top person. He said he's never seen polls that were so fake before, where they overweight the Democrats. And I only bring that up because I think it's something that should be said. It's a it's a shame how dishonest the media is. The media is corrupt and they're dishonest, and they're so bad for our country. Thank you very much, everybody. Speaker 1: Thank you. What's your opinion on the popular support?
